Her robe was inside out, her tie wasn't even tied, and her hair...well, Wesley hadn't even bothered to comb it.
She was early; she knew she was. It was awkward, sitting at the table all alone, but she wasn't going to spend another minute in that dormitory. She wasn't going to watch Sarah and Lori pack - not for even one nanosecond.
No, no, no, no, no!
The fifth year smacked her ead down on the table, forehead against what soon became wet wood. Today was the very worst day in her WHOLE. LIFE.

Caaaaaaalm. She. Was. Calm. She really was!
... Surprisingly.
You could see she'd been crying, crying a lot infact, but she was okay right now. She wanted this memory to be... Dry. XD.
That was until she went to sit down at the feast to find Small!Kid all.... Ewwy.
She'd stood watching Wesley from the other end of the table, since the younger girl actually took a seat, and maaaan was Lori on the verge of crying now. She didn't necessarily WANT to cry, but Wesley looked so.... Oh Merlin. The tears burned at her eyelids as she attempted to wipe them away, and failed, then they seeped through gaps and trickled onto her cheeks.
DID WESLEY JUST DIE?! DID SHE-?!
Feverishly wiping away all the tears on her cheeks, and rubbing hastily on her eyes, Miss Bristol took a clean run in the direction of the smaller girl, and skidded along the bench towards her. "small kid? You alive?" please be.
Walking through the huge oak doors, that headed the Great Hall, Brielle could not help but let her mind drift back to the night, then had arrived, The Opening Feast.
But this was the Closing one.
With her hair back in her signature ponytail, Brielle sashayed her way down the aisle, coming to an empty spot on the Hufflepuff table. Hufflepuff had been here home away from home, and she was happy to share one last meal with it's members.

Ever.
This was not the way Alex had intended to take his leave from Hogwarts. Sure, he'd probably be remembered, but at what cost?
There was still time... maybe for a food fight? That'd be fun...
And he was leaving, so he couldn't have a detention... but OH NOES! He might get thrown in Azkaban for the lobbing of sustenance.
Not really worth it.
When Alex entered the room, he glanced up at the ceiling out of mere habit and realised he would never enter the Hall in such a way again. But he didn't dwell on it. Instead, Alex headed for the Hufflepuff table, characteristically
going where there were people.
And right now, people meant a girl that had headdesked, and a fellow huffie seventh year. She might have been a prefect for all Alex knew... but he wasn't sure. Plus, he was focused on the girl. Alex took a seat next to her, away from the life-sized freakout, and jostled her shoulder gently. "Kid? You okay?"
He couldn't tell who it was from this angle! >__________<

Sarah had taken ages to pack. She had stained all her things with tears, and now they were wet and yucky and needed washing as soon as she got home. Home. Huh. That sounded - strange. Hogwarts was home, certainly for ten months of the year, for the previous seven years. How was she meant to just leave it behind?
Wiping her eyes, she slowly walked into the Great Hall and let out a loud sigh. Glancing over at the Huffie table she saw three people she wanted to see more than anything. Two of her very best friends, and one new friend that she might not see again. Chewing her bottom lip, Sarah tilted her head slightly and took in the scene....Why were they crowding around Wesley? Ohhh, no.
Rushing over, she flailed her arms and crouched down beside the soon-to-be sixth year. "What's wrong? Wesley? Guys what's the matter with her, is she sick?" That was the last thing she wanted. Now Sarah was going to worry even more. Turning her head at their French visitor, she smiled warmly and nodded towards a goblet in the middle of the table. "Brielle would you mind passing me that, please? I think Wesley needs something to drink." And as soon as everything was okayy, they could sit and chat. Yes.
"If she isn't, do you think shaking her shoulder will help?" Sarah asked the Huffie boy sat next to Wesley. Seriously. Boys could be so silly sometimes. "Perhaps we just need to give her some air...." Trailing off, she shuffled back slightly and started rubbing her friends back in a comforting manner.

"I did not shake her shoulder!" Alex responded indignantly as he turned. Now, he knew this girl to be the Head Girl, plus they'd been in Hufflepuff together since 1st year... but he'd never approached her. "I merely jostled."
He didn't move back though. Sitting next to the girl and then backing away was kinda mean. Plus... he'd sat there now. He'd chosen this seat.

SHE NEEDED SARAH!!!!!!
Wesley was slowly running out of tears. Or so she thought.
There was a thump to her left, and then suddenly, another person next to her. Speaking. Tall Kid! The sound of her voice brought images of Mr. Bear and footspas being put away into that trunk.
Wesley hated trunks. HATED. HATED. HATED.
No more pink. No more glitter.
No more Lori.
In answer, she shook her head against the table, then paused, letting out a small, vigorous nod. Wesley couldn't lie because lying was bad. She was, no doubt, 100% alive.
The Hufflepuff burst into fresh sobs, not sure if that was a good thing.
SPOILER!!: Zoe!!

Wesley didn't notice the other person until he was shaking her shoulder. Stymying her sobs enough to hear him speak, the Hufflepuff shook her head once more against the table, then again, and again, and again.
No. She was not okay.
Her heart was breaking.
No. Not breaking. IT WAS BEING SAVAGELY CUT OUT LIKE THAT ONE WARLOCK WITH THE HAIRY HEART.
SPOILER!!: Sarah & Zoe!!

Wait. Was that - Sarah?
The fifth year sucked in her sobs with a large sniffle. Wesley squeezed her eyes shut, forcing out a few welling tears, and bit her raw bottom lip. Don't cry. Don't cry. Don't cry.
She didn't want Sarah to see her sad. Because, because, because she needed to be brave.
Wesley balled her still too-small-hands into fists, digging her fingernails into her palms.
Nothing was wrong. She was fine. She was alive. She wasn't sick.
No - no - she didn't need any water. Because she was fine.
And, oh, the boy had only been trying to be nice. Wesley understood. Honest, to Merlin, she did.
And, wait, what!?
With that last suggestion by Sarah, the Hufflepuff whipped around, wet, red-ringed, puffy eyes, wide with terror. "NO! Don't leave me! Don't!"
And then she flung herself at the two older girls, somehow managing to hug them both, albeit rather lopsided, at the same time. With her intense consentration broken, the contained tears broke loose, and she sobbed freely. "Y-you g-guys are m-m-my b-best, ev-ever, frieNDS!"
She'd hug the boy when she was done.
Er...maybe.

Reason: adding Zoe's post! p.s. YAY on Jake coming back! We miss him! :(
Alex was kind of alarmed when the girl (the Wesley girl from a few years below?) suddenly sprung up and hugged her friends (well... he assumed they were friends). He stared for a moment, before looking at the Head Girl and saying, "Told ya."
Well, he hadn't, but by not moving he had IMPLIED that the girl did not want people backing away. Chyeah.
Alex tried not to look like he was noticing the crying... people didn't like it when others saw them cry, did they? Alex couldn't remember...

Oh..Gosh
*Sob*
Not only was Miss Malfoy loosing her BEST friend, but she was loosing 2 of her really close friends too. And it truly sucked that she'd be a loner Well...Sort of, she still had her Spatulaclaw for the rest of her school terms. Which is how she ended up at the Hufflepuff table, her mouth no longer in its usual smile, her eyes still red and puffy from the tearful staring she'd been doing all day.
She headed towards Sarah and Lori, giving the Head Girl a small tap on the shoulder. "I'm sorry for interrupting" she started, her voice a little shaky. "I just.. I have something to give you both..." she continued.
She'd wait for their acknowledgement before actually giving them the present.
Preston wasn't sure what to feel. He guessed he should be happy that he made it through his first year of Hogwarts alive, and not too badly injured. He was happy to be going home and to see his father and his younger brother. And then possibly to even see his Auntie LoLo. But on the other hand, it meant he was leaving his friends behind until next fall, or as in the case of his older friends in seventh year, it meant possibly not seeing them again forever or in a really long time.
Preston gave a tiny sigh and decided he was going to make this last feast a good one. No sad thoughts. He gave a nod of the head and looked around the table, like had done several times before in search of someone he might now.
He picked a few things off of the plates around him and placed them on his plate, waiting to eat a little while longer, just in case someone he knew just happened to show up.
"I did not shake her shoulder!" Alex responded indignantly as he turned. Now, he knew this girl to be the Head Girl, plus they'd been in Hufflepuff together since 1st year... but he'd never approached her. "I merely jostled."

"I didn't say you did it hard. But jostle, shake - the difference is?" Sarah really didn't mean to upset him, she thought it was a reasonable observation. Raising her eyebrows at him, she shook her head gently. This probably wasn't the time to having a conversation about jostling.
Plus the fact, Wesley was starting to worry her even more...

There seemed to be an awful lot of head shaking going on. And she wasn't even lifting her head off the table to do it. Worrying indeed.
Continuing to rub her back, and with her own legs starting to go numb from crouching, Sarah tried to gain some insight into what the shakes meant. She wasn't sick. She didn't want water. She...she was sad, wasn't she? Why had it taken her so long to realise that? The sniffle gave it away.
"Wesley, please turn around. We can----OOOFFFHHH." The wind was knocked out of her as her friend turned and threw herself at her and Lori. Her tears were flowing, making the Head Girl start as well. "Oh sweetie, we don't want to - but I think they might notice if we stayed, and chuck us out." Humour. Probably not a good idea. "You are one of the best people I've ever met, and no way would I leave you forever. You know that." And then she cried some more. Damn seventh year!

Over Wesley's shoulder, and through her own tears, Sarah could just make out the shape of the boy she'd been discussing shoulders with. Frowning at him, she nodded her head at his little comment. She didn't quite know what he had told her, but best just to go with it.

Still with her neck in a vice-like grip, Sarah felt a tap on her shoulder. Turning her eyes as best she could, she blinked a couple of times and stared up into the face of Trixie. Ohhh lordy. There was no way this was going to be a dry goodbye, was there?
Loosening Wesley's hand a second, Sarah pushed herself up and sat on the edge of the bench. "It's alright, Trix," she smiled. "We're just...having a moment. Come join us, please. You have something to give us?" Sarah repeated what the girl had said, face now confused. If it was something that was going to make her cry, she doubted she'd have enough tissues in her pocket to cope with it all.

Trixie sent back a wobbly smile, her eyes not the same bright hazel they usually were and she was certainly a lot paler. One of her hands was behind her back, squeezing hold of something she had got, or rather made the two Hufflepuffs.
"For both of you" she answered Lori's question quickly, glancing momentarily at them both before looking at her feet. Yeah the present was stupid but still, she wanted to give them something. "I erm.. I wanted to thank you, for being such good friends these past 2 years...." she started but ended up swallowing half way through. "And I'm really bad at buying anything that actually means something.." Unless it meant buying Oliver lightsabers, that wasn't really hard. "So I made you one of these each" she passed out two bracelets, hand woven but with a small four leaf clover charm, which obviously she didn't make, that would have been a little too hard. But the actual bracelet was her own handiwork. "They're for Good Luck" she finished, looking down at her feet once again.
Melanie was never overly fond of the end of term feast. It was a reminder of the fact that she would be going home soon. This term had been her best so far and the idea that it was coming to an end wasn't a pleasant one. She was used to the feeling, though... And she knew she was coming back next year, so it wasn't that bad. Melanie was just a little bit more gloomy than usual. She took a seat near the end of the Hufflepuff table, alone, when she didn't spot anyone she knew too well, and kept an eye on the entrance. Maybe if she stared at it enough someone she knew or some stranger would come over and save her from her boredom.
Turning her head at the voice of someone she actually NEEDED to see righ now, to get her through this torture, Lori wibbled a little seeing the concern plastered over the Head Girl's face. Something... as a student, Lori probably wouldn't see again. And that HURT.
"I dunno.. I just watched her put her head down and... maybe she's dead?"
... She hadn't seen the nod, she'd been to BUSY thinking. X3
... O__________O
OH. MY. EFFER.
Lori squeaked, and jumped back a few seats, as the dead!small!kid burst into random sobs, and THEN proceeded to FLING herself at Lorelai and Sarah. The only way she'd been caught in the hug, was because she'd dashed back forward to hug the younger kid from behind as she noticed how puffy her eyes were. This wasn't right. A kid shouldn't be this sad... over Lorelai. Lori was nothing special, as much as she liked to tell herself she was. She was another, another student.
But she placed her one arm around Wesley, and her other around Sarah, and closed her eyes. "Gonna miss you, kid." Heck, she really was.
From the hug, Lori opened her eyes only to see Trixie approaching, and gave the Slytherin a little... well.. it wasn't even a smile. It was a terrible attempt, feeble even. The corners of her mouth didn't turn up, and she didn't even look like she was trying to smile.
"Trix..." She began, but sighed again and watched the blonde curiously. "Wait? For who? Sarah and.. me?" OH HOW SUPER ADORABLY CUUUTE
Lori looked on the verge of tears as well, and it was all making Sarah feel really bad. Wesley was acting weird, and they were all...Ohh, there just were no words to describe it.
Nodding as Lori filled her in on what she knew, Sarah vigorously shook her head when she said the last bit. "Nooo, no. She's not - dead. Right Wesley?" Although she certainly wasn't good. Why did these situations have to be so hard?....So - neck-crunching? Reaching across as they were both hugged by Wesley, Sarah gripped Lori on the shoulder and smiled weakly at her. "We'll get through this," she whispered.
From her perching position, Sarah looked back and forth between Lori and Trixie as the brunette spoke to her as well. She was so totally wishing she had bought presents now.

Wiping her eye with the sleeve of her robe, Sarah sniffed and blinked at Trixie. She had something for them both? Awww, this day just got worse and worse. Not that a present was bad - that was the sweetest thing ever - it was the fact she knew it was going to make her bawl like a baby in front of everyone.
"Oh Trixie," Sarah smiled, reaching up and rubbing her on the arm. "You've been a great friend for us too, right Lori?" Looking across at her fellow 'Puff, her attention was drawn back though, when the Slytherin continued to talk.
"Oh my goodness..." She was actually speechless for the first time in a long time. A bracelet. A beautiful bracelet. Bottom lip wibbling, Sarah put her hand forward and took her gift from Trixie, examining it, before slipping it onto her wrist. "It's beautiful. THANK YOU!" Now it was her turn to fling herself forward and hug someone. Gripping Trixie around the neck, Sarah sobbed into her shoulder. "I'm going to miss you. I'm going to miss so much about this place and the people...and my friends who are staying. It's not fair." Not. Bloody. Fair.
Lori, Sarah, Trixie, Zoe (and Brielle too!) <3 Maybe last post for the night
"I'mmanawdea," the Hufflepuff managed to say through a mouthful of tears and messed up hair, nodding her head up and down. She tried to laugh, but it came out like she was choking.
"Y-you c-could f-flunk your N-N-NEWTS, and r-retake y-your s-seventh year. A-and f-fail again, and then I-I could catchuptoyou, andwecouldbeseventhyearsforever," Wesley offered, stutter-sobbing before dropping into a fast mumbled response. She knew it wasn't a good suggestion. She wanted Sarah and Lori to do well, not fail. And, the idea of them all being fifty-something-year-olds among tweens and young adults, well, even Wesley had to admit was a little rediculous. Besides, the tests were over, and the fifth year just knew Sarah and Lori had done terrific. They would graduate for sure. And she couldn't stop them.
Wesley hugged the two girls tighter, as if by doing so she could stop time and keep them close forever.
"M-me, too, T-tall!K-kid. I-I'll miss y-you too," she replied to Lori. Wesley knew it was the truth; she could feel it under her ribbones, in the little cave where her crushed up, ripped-open heart lived. She was missing Lori already, and school wasn't even over.
"Promise?" Wesley asked, looking up at Sarah through blurry eyes, only to see the older girl crying.
Oh no, no, no. "Sarah - d-don't cry!" she pleaded, reaching a hand towards her in a poor attempt to wipe off her wet cheeks. Handkerchief! Where were Wesley's handkerchiefs? The short Hufflepuff fumbled for her pockets, only to realize her robe was, as it had been for quite some time, inside out. Detangling from the hug around the same time as Sarah pulled away, Wesley brushed back her tangled hair and pulled her robe off, flipping it around and digging inside her pocket.
But the handkerchief wasn't there. In her distress, the Hufflepuff had forgotten to slip one in. Wesley's bottom lip wobbled. She couldn't even remember the last time she'd been without a spair tissue. Not in the last 3 years, at least. Today was just, not a good day.
Shaking her head, loosing her untied tie in the motion, the Hufflepuff looked up and watched the scene unfold. Wesley had never seen the Slytherin girl before, and yet, she felt like she knew her. In her red eyes and sad smile, her shy offering, Wesley understood, connected by mutual sorrow.
She liked the girl - and her creativity. Any guilt over having not prepared a present (and, Merlin knows, there was a lot of it) was overpowered by the appreciation of what this older student offered. It was more than the pretty little gift, it was the love she gave with it. And as hard as it was to listen to Sarah sob, Wesley remained seated, determined not to ruin the moment.
Instead, she turned to looked at the boy and gave him a sad, but never-the-less friendly, smile. Maybe he had a handkerchief.

Kita walked into the Great Hall and smiled sadly. The end of term was always a sad time. It was the end of yet another year at Hogwarts; meaning that she was getting closer to her graduation. Great! Shaking her head to get rid of this thought, she continued walking.
Kita approached the Hufflepuff table and smiled again. She had half expected there to be someone she talked to sitting there already, but then again, she was quite early. According to her anyways.
The brunette made her way towards the middle of the table and sat down. The smile on her face stayed as she looked down at the golden plates that were glinting in the light.

With her hair back in her signature ponytail, Brielle sashayed her way down the aisle, coming to an empty spot on the Hufflepuff table. Hufflepuff had been here home away from home, and she was happy to share one last meal with it's members.

Fletcher didn't wanna go to the feast, because going to the feast meant admitting that his BEST YEAR EVER was over and that he would no longer be like... important anymore. He would no longer get to be THE Champion, or at least, the school year would no longer revolve around him and his amazing deeds, and besides all those selfish reasons...
He really didn't want all the graduating people and his new friends and fellow champions to leave.
So it was with a small sigh that Fletcher dragged himself to the feast and plunked himself down between two pretty girls. Good seat, great view, but not if he looked down the table a little ways. There was a sobbing child just sitting there, weirdly enough, being comforted by people.
Poor thing. It was best if he just... did not go over there since she already had a crowd. Instead, Fletcher turned toward Brielle and Melanie, looking between them with a smile. New friend and old friend, right?
"Did you two have as good a term as I did?" he half-joked as a conversation starter. "Good term for Hufflepuff too, since we actually didn't come in last place in the House Points race." For once.

Giving a sigh, Preston gave one good look up and down the table making sure there wasn't someone near him he knew. Someone he wasn't afraid to talk to. He shrugged his shoulders and dug into the food that was on his plate. Maybe Kale would come in search for him. Kale and MJ.
Where was Miss More when Preston needed her?
Preston took tiny bites and chewed them as much as possible before swallowing. He counted every seven bites and then took a sip of pumpkin juice. He had to keep his mind occupied for fear he might get sad about the end of the term.
He gave a jolt as he remember what he had made for Miss More. He had completely forgotten up until now. Though he wasn't sure how every morning he would put the small bracelet he had made out of twine and a few beads he had found into his robes to make sure he didn't lose it. He just hadn't gotten around to giving it to Miss More.
Now was his chance, or he might lose it over the summer. Taking a deep breath, Preston got up and headed towards the staff table. A little nervous with all the professors sitting up there, feeling as if every single one of them were looking down at him and watching him very carefully.

It seemed only yesterday that she had been sitting down for the opening feast. Where had the year gone?
Mia was in two minds of how she was feeling at the moment. On the one hand she was excited about going back home and seeing her family. And of course she could do with a break.
But on the other hand she was also a little sad because she knew that she was going to have to say goodbye to a certain someone and well...she really didn't want to.
As she approached the Huffie table, Mia looked for some faces that she knew and to be honest she actually didn't know that many people from her own house. She had hung out with people from the other houses and other schools. She did however notice Fletcher sitting at the table but she decided to give him a very wide berth. Mia was not in the mood in getting into it with him.
So Mia found a spot about halfway down the table and slid into a chair, her eyes automatically going over to the Slytherin table. She would probably end up over there before the night was over.

" mia, how are you?" Rex asked her. "We never got a chance to talk at the dance or even dance together' Rex explained to to Mia. " the term has gone very fast" Rex said to Mia.
"This month, so many sick, so hungry." Nunually's long hair was made into two pig tails, which had then been turned into brades. Since her stomach was hurting she had decided to skip meals, but today she was feeling a lot better, sadly the same could not be said for her cat Jeremy. Jeremy had gotten into someone's potions and now he was sick. Since the potions did not have labels she did not know what to do. She had tried the obvious of using a stone gotten from the stomach of what was that animal? She did not remember what animal it had been. Ben...something. She shook her head. FOOD.
Her stomach was rumbling and she sighed. Should she risk eating? Lately food had been getting her sick. It was probably the stress that getting to her, but she did not want to go to the hospital wing. She had never been in there and she was not plannning on breaking that record. Muggle school she had spent more time in the nurses office than in classrooms. Her best friend had been the nurse. That had been pretty pathetic. grrrrr.... She put her hand on her tummy. "I am going to have to risk it..." she mumbled and headed towards her table.

" mia, how are you?" Rex asked her. "We never got a chance to talk at the dance or even dance together' Rex explained to to Mia. " the term has gone very fast" Rex said to Mia.
Dragging her gaze away from the Slytherin table to face the voice that had spoken beside her, Mia gave the Gryffindor a smile. "I'm good thank you, Rex. How are you?"
She let out a small chuckle. "Well I am not a very good dancer so it was probably good for you that we didn't dance." In more ways than one she thought.
"Oh yes it went very fast." Mia shifted in her seat slightly so that she was facing Rex. "What are you plans for the summer?"
Emmy sat dismally at her house table, picking at roast chicken.
She couldn't believe that another year was over already! Surely Christmas had only been last week?
What on earth was she going to do until next term? She'd be bored out of her mind, unless she somehow managed to get to Diagon Alley.
She pondered all that had happened in her third year. All in all, it hadn't been too bad, once she'd realised the episode with Chang was irretrievably finished...
She looked around, trying to spot her friends. Surely Sammy and Treyen would be here? Unless they were at a different table... She'd forgotten you were allowed to roam. Maybe she could go and find Patroclus! That'd be nice... She'd just finish eating, then have a quick scan to see if she could spot anyone...
