Rowan went to join the purple group. Ugh, she felt totally useless in this class. She hoped one of her fellow purple people had the answer.

Lina moved to the left side of the room and raised a hand. "Voldemort got really busy, since he was outted anyway. Death Eaters were attacking, dementors were breeding and casting cold over the land, a Somerset was all but destroyed, and the Brockdale bridge came down. I imagine many eyes were suddenly turned on us, and Voldemort and the Death Eaters were trying to reach out and recruit beyond the bounds of our country."

Moving to the assigned location for the white team, SImon listened as the professor went on...speaking of July 1996. "Um..wasn't that the battle around Privet Drive," he answered, "When potter left the protection of his aunt's house because he was of age."

Lyra went to the left side of the room. She looked at her teammates.

I don't know any of them, but at least there are other slytherins.

Arabella-Marie joined the purple team and thought 1996 what so important that happened in that year she looked at the rest of her team seeing if any of them had the answer

Jacob's Marker came out white... why white? the color was so bland, plain, normal. Jacob doesn't like normal.............. obviously! Oh Well at least he had in Patroclus in his group.

1996? Wait Jacob knew this! "That was that... thing that... occured... at that time... and had a... effect on history...?" As he spoke, he got quieter, and quieter. And with each word he felt dumber and dumber. "Wait! There was a grilled Cheese Sandwich involved... right?" Oh no... Wait that was lunch.

Green team ruled! Just because it was green. Pfft, yea!

Seeing as she already was towards the right side of the room, Evelyn just continued to sit in her seat and watched all the other people move instead. Hehe, yea, staaarrreee at them, seeing if there was anyone she knew. Well there was that new Slytherin prefect that she saw at the feast. Guess that'll do.

Early July-ish. "Isn't that when the second war began?" Right? Unless she had her years mixed up.

That was when the department of mysteries wasn't it? Finn mused for a second before putting his hand up. "Wasn't that when the minister of magic finally had to believe that voldermort was back....because of what happened in the battle?" He wasn't too sure, but it was better than repeating what the other students had said.

Maybe the second war? Or the attack at privet drive? Or the fight at the ministry?

She joined the white team and smiled. ''Rufus Scrimgeour replaces Fudge as Minister for Magic. And there is also The Second Wizarding War witch actually began in 1995 but in 1996 it was officially announced by the Ministry. And there was Battle of the Department of Mysteries and it was in June.'' Jacqueline said that clearly and quitely sat down. She took a deep breath cause she was very nervous.

Kurumi looked around at her fellow purple team mates hoping that one of them knew the answer because she had no idea - at least not about anything in the wizarding world. "There was a plane crash at Fukuoka Airport in Japan where many people died..."Kurumi said whispered a little louder than she had intended.

"Yes, the battle of the Dept. of Mysteries did happen around that time, but I was looking more for the events at the Brockdale Bridge and the other 'strange' happenings at the time. Now can anyone tell me more about said events?"
"Miss Materia, I do believe you are reading my mind. That was exactly what I was looking for." Sylvie grinned and nodded. Yes this class was full of smarties, she liked that very much.
"Not exactly, I do believe you are thinking of July 1997. Mister Potter would have been still be 15 at the time we are talking about."
Raising a brow slightly, she looked over to the odd eagle from before. "Mister Blunt, grilled cheese? I don't recall that, but if you can find me documentation of that, I'd be amazed." Yes, she would have to keep her eye on that one.
"Yes, that moment in history could be considered the beginning of the second war. The time period where everything came to a head, per say."
"Yes, it was. Sometimes, people don't want to see what is staring them in the face unless they are forced to and that battle was like a slap to the face of the Minister. How can you pretend to now see something like a battle. It was time to face the truth. Voldemort was back and the war was beginning."


"Thank you, Miss Roberts. Those are all correct facts. The war had been going on, but in the eyes of the ministry and the public, 1996 was the time they finally needed to face the truth and admit it to themselves that all was not right."
Smiling, Sylvie nodded to the young Gryffindor. She had heard what the little one had added and stored it away in her head.

"Okay, so odd events were occurring during this time and there was a meeting between the then Prime Minister and Minister of Magic Fudge. Can anyone tell me more about this meeting?"

Kurumi practically had her face smashed against her parchment as she took more notes. It really was embarrassing how she knew nothing about this world. Kurumi blushed when she saw the professor acknowledge her answer. This was certainly a professor she needed to talk to more - especially since she was severely behind in knowledge compared to her classmates.

Arabella-Marie raised her hand and said "Was it the last meeting that Fudge did as Minister of Magic and introducing his replacement as minister" Arabella-Marie wasnt entirely sure though"

Louisa moved to the right side along with everyone else in her team. After settling down she listened to the Professor asking questions.

She raised her hand, yeah she heard about this 'bizarr' meeting very much, "The Minister of Magic wanted to explain those weird occurings to the Prime Minister who thought those were of ill-muggles' deeds. I believe that the two ministres met before that too, whenever a threat of the wizardy world would expand to the muggle-world." She took a pause. Now what happened in that meeting? She didn't know exactly. It was a warning. "It was after the Minister of Magic (Fudge) been sacked and the new one took over, it was kind of an introduction to the Prime Minister."

Okay, so it was just his lunch... but he wasn't going to give up on the grilled cheese, he was going to find that documented proof of Grilled cheese.

Prime Minister, and the Minister of Magic. He's got this... but then his brain started working rapidly 'don't say anything stupid... don't say anything stupid!' "They talked about... stuff?" 'okay... just don't say any other stupid things' "over a nice, light dinner of grilled cheese" 'Say something smart or shut it!' silly brain your not in control... oh wait yes it is. "oh yeah he like... informed the Prime minister of magical events and wars that effected the muggles..." 'well finally!' there something smart... sort of. Oh wait they had to go into detail. This is hard!... Why couldn't This woman be more like Lainey!

Alright, so a lot of stuff happened that year it seemed like. Some which, she even forgotten about, so writing it down, Evelyn kept her ears open for what the Professor was saying, slumping in her seat slightly. History of Magic...how did one stay awake? Sure, you would be able to stay awake if Lainey was teaching since, well you didn't want fireworks going off by your ears but even she herself was feeling slightly dozy already.

"The current Minister of Magic usually informs the Prime Minister about anything that could effect the muggle world. I think it was mentioned somewhere that the Minister of Magic Fudge had warned the Prime Minister about some breakout or something, and other stuff, if you are talking about the specific year, 1996 that is." Oh that was a lame answer. Hmm, she did not really have a good memory about this part of time in history either. Well, obviously that's what the meeting was about though. Something was happening in the magical world that would effect the muggle one. Pffft.

Trixie raised her hand with a smile. She was back on her swotty mode after having read the text book in her holidays. She was bored...Who could blame her? "Well it was when the the new Minister of Magic was appointed wasn't it? He was going as an introduction to the new Minister first, but also as a warning. A warning to the events that had been happening in both the Wizarding and the Muggle World" she stated. "Gloomy Occurrences in the Wizarding society that would greatly effect his world too" she finished. Or was that like a completely different time? She was so greatly confused right now.... Or maybe it was the New Prime Minister. Well whatever it was, the Minister was working with the prime Minister to warn of any mishaps in the Wizarding and muggle world..That was all you needed to know...

Lina thought hard about it. "Wasn't it something about there being a new muggle Prime Minister? And the Prime Minister and the Minister of Magic had to work together if they were going to keep the muggle world ignorant of magical happenings, as well as try and keep muggles safe. This was even more imperative at this point because a lot of confusing things were happening in the muggle world due to the second war. We were having this huge war, but they not only didn't understand what was happening, they weren't supposed to! So while this was a scary time for all of us, this was especially so for the muggle world. I believe at the time the Prime Minister met with the Head Auror, as part of trying to put a plan together."

Jacqueline raised her hand again. ''Ministry of Magic has to inform British Prime Minister about all stuff in the wizarding world, that are going to effect the UK.Like Voldemort's return. And i think that Fudge represented the new Minister of Magic because the new minister was too busy.'' She again anxiously sat down and started listening other students.

"I do believe you have all covered what I was looking for. The meeting was meant to inform the Muggle Minister of what was happening in the Wizarding world and how to prevent muggles of finding out what was happening. But with all the 'strange' events happening during that time, it was going to be a task to keep things under wraps. But what if, it had gotten out. The International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy aside, how would everything be interpreted by everyone involved? Team Green, I would like you to take the side of the wizarding public. Team White, the side of the muggles. Team Purple, the side of the Ministry."

Arabella-Marie looked at her purple teammates not sure where to start but she was having fun answering questions in lessons and trying to earn points for her house

Jacqueline was ready and she looked at her WHITE team. They were all ready and preparied fot this task.

So... Team White. The Muggle team. How would the Muggles have interpreted all the events like dementors and people dying and random hurricanes?

"Well," Fletcher mused, turning to his teammates, "I'm sure the Muggle would have tried to find reasonable explanations for everything that occurred. Like all the dementors breeding and stuff... Muggles just thought the fog they created was like 'unseasonable weather.' And the bridge collapsing... I'm sure it was just a freak accident. I bet they would have called Voldemort a 'terrorist' or something of the like."

He wasn't sure how else the Muggle would have reacted. "I mean, they weren't about to accept some story about wizards all living under their nose, right?"

Ohh so this was what the groups were for. Writing down what the Green team was in her notebook so she didn't forget and go off topic, Evelyn placed her quill onto her desk as she stared at the letters before turning to all the green team members. Wait... "Are we supposed to discuss this with our team first, professor?" she asked after raising her hand of course.
