Professor Welton stood in the front of the classroom as she looked out at the three clusters of desks. Normally, she would have just left the desks in a neat rows, but small clusters would work better today. On each desk was a sheet of parchment and a coloured marker.
Walking down the middle, she smiled as she pulled her wand out and flicked it at the door. It was time to let the children in. Silently, the door swung open as she placed her wand back in its holster and made her way back to the front. Standing before the massive map floating in the front of the room, she bounced on her heals slightly.
" Just think how you would feel if this happened in the Ministry today' Rex told Rowan. " you will get it' Rex smiled.
" Nice going "Rex told Rubiey"You and I have different opinions for the Ministry as I already told my point earlier" Rex said to Rubiey
" I also think the Ministry would shut down their doors" Rex told the professor.
" I think the Prime Minister and The Minister of Magic would deny anything happening with the help of the editor of the Daily Prophet." Rex explained to the professor.
( Purple Team)
"Thanks Rex. I'll try," she said. " think that the Ministry would deny everything as long as possible to avoid frightening the muggles. The last thing people need are a punch of terrified people running around willy-nilly." Rowan crossed her fingers and hoped that this was a suitable answer.
IM SORRY! I'm wayy too behind, I'm on white!team by the way.

Yes, white team. She followed Salander as he left the table to join the group that was matching their changing marker color. Hey, Fletcher was there! He seemed to be around a lot more this year, or at least that's how Rae noticed it. She wasn't all too distracted by one person this year.

"Yeah I doubt they would," Fletcher shrugged. "We were just discussing that."
"They would just avoid talking about the mysterious occurances going on all around them? Hmm," Fletcher didn't really think they would react that day. "But Muggles really rely on their media as sources of information... and I'm sure all their tellyvisors and newspapers would have a field day with bridges collapsing and stuff."
"Ooh good idea," Fletcher also nodded approvingly at the other Ravenclaw. Geez, what was this group? 'Claws and Gryffs? "An apocalypse is one way to describe the havoc Voldemort was wrecking, I reckon."
"Yes, exactly!" Fletcher offered Salander a knuckle-bump. "It's all the aliens' fault and the ALIENS are bringing the APOCALYPSE! All led by Michael Jackson.
As the one boy in their group ran off to get everyone grilled cheese, Fletcher cracked a grin and raised his hand to answer the question for Team White!
"Well, Professor," he started, "we think the Muggles would have reacted by trying to find a rational, normal, non-magical explanation for every odd occurence. They might have described Voldemort as some sort of 'terrorist' and compared his appearance to Michael Jackson's. They probably also would have thought aliens and UFOs were involved if they say flying cars or people on broomsticks, for example. And finally, if things got too bad and dementors were attacking left and right and building were exploding, the Muggles might just have given up hope and declared it all to be the apocalypse. Because no matter what, we all agreed that Muggles wouldn't accept that magic and wizardkind was to blame.... because obviously, in the mind of a Muggle, magic does not exist."
He nodded and looked back to his group to see if they had anything to add.
Rae listened to Fletcher's final statement about that the muggles would think... Wait, what was a tellyvisor? Before he could even finish, Rae had to put her head down on the desk to keep herself from obnoxiously laughing or something of the sort.

Alice nodded in agreement at what the boy had said. "That sounds about right," Alice said quietly, not wanting to sound too opinionated among so many older students.

Again Freya nodded her head when the older Hufflepuff boy summed up team white opinions.

Mid-grilled cheese, Patroclus thought of something else to add, " Muggle have grown up reading books that tell them that we are just stories, I bet you could walk up tp one and say, Hey I am wizard and they would just calll you crazzzzzy!"
Patroclus was crazy alright, crazy for Grilled Cheese!

She went back to eating the sandwiches. They were excellent.
Fletcher liked all these kids' answers. He made signs of agreement and approval as they all spoke, nodding and "uh-huh"-ing and such.
But then, then, all thoughts of class were lost as that Cheesy Claw reappeared with REAL grilled cheese!

Team Green. And I'm VERY late for this discussion =(
Dalliesa | Ab-Bot | Hogwarts Trojan War |
Louisa thought about this slowly; If I were a wizarding public and muggles knew the reason behind those attacks and catastrophes.. Hmm.. It's not that they knew about us, it's only Prime Minister who did actually so that changes things.
"If I were the wizarding public at that time, I'd be scared to death for Prime Minister to judge wizards and witches by those Dark ones that were corrupting his side of the world..." She said with bent eyebrows expressing concern and continued, ".. And I'd be worried about muggles knowing about us and then refuse to mingle with us.. leaving us out or accusing us of being aliens." Yeah the little girl did watch lota muggle-machines (TV).
Louisa looked over at her team-green-mates and listened carefully to what they had to say. Yay! Very close opinions, nice. Not that it mattered to her, heehee. She sat there moving her feet back and forth playfully enjoying this lesson.
Dianna nodded at Fletcher's answer. Well that was mostly the point of everything they discussed.
So anyways she just grabbed a sandwich and munched it down. Mmm..nothing like grilled cheese in class..
Alex listened to her team's answers, they had covered everything. Being on Team White was strange and were those grilled cheese sandwiches? Alex wrinkled her nose, she didn't like grilled cheese sandwiches they tasted horrible to her.
Jacob some how was able to open the door to the Classroom with the giant plate he was holding. "Sandwiches are here!"
He walked through the door, and place the plate on the teachers desk.
Alright he said, he wouldn't say anything about Grilled cheese... he didn't promise not to say anything about Chocolate Mousse Cake! Loophole!
Jacob went back to sit with the White team... so what we're they doing now?
Freya saw the boy from her team entered the classroom with a giant plate full of grilled cheese. She couldn't help to hide her giggles. The smell of grilled cheese filled the History of Magic classroom. She then realized that she hadn't had breakfast this morning.Hmm..Grilled Cheese. She grabbed a sandwich from the plate.

Sylvie nodded as she leaned against her desk, listening to what the White Team had come up with. "That was very nicely stated and thought out. I bit odd, if I can say, but interesting for sure. I can slightly see the resemblance with Michael Jackson and the idea of it being the apocalypse is very feasible as well. It's usually in some people's nature to think up something far more outlandish than to possible accept that maybe there is a reason, such as magic, why certain things are occurring." She really did enjoy the thought that went into their answer. Outside the box thinking. Very smart they were.

Glancing over to the professor, Evelyn turned back around in her seat, waiting for the others to say what they came up with as she took one more peak at her team mates. Anyone going to say what they discussed? Yes? No?
Maybe?
Eh. Raising her hand, it seemed like it was their turn. "Well, for the wizard public, there was multiple interpretations of the event. Some of us would have been glad for finally coming out of "hiding" and be able to use magic freely without most of the consequences. On the other hand though, some of us probably wouldn't have enjoyed the fact that muggles would have been introduced to our wizarding world under such a harsh event, and instead would have liked them to have found out about us in a more lighter sense like...curing cancer or something." That's what that one girl had said right?
"And then, I think it was also mentioned that some would use this opportunity to take their "rightful place" and try to conquer the muggle world instead. So all in all, it really depends on the view points of the individual witches and wizards, and like we were discussing earlier in class, where they came from."

Again another team that thought out what they were going to say and phased it quite nicely. "Yes, the wizarding public would have many views and I believe you did well touching on them all. There is always bound to be those that believe the prejudice that have been instilled in them and those that would prefer that they just be allowed to be who they are and perhaps completely co-exist along side of muggle without completely hiding who they were and what now. This is all a hypothetical situation, but I think you did well in seeing what I am trying to get at." More students that thought outside the box. She was really growing to like how some of this students thought.

I think that it makes them feel safer; they would rather believe that 10year old bridges are bound to collapse, or that there's freak weather conditions, than actually face up to the obvious. It would be too much for Muggles to handle." She smirked; she had just summed up her mother. "The Minister of Magic is right to let the Prime Minister know, and of course he isn't going to say anything; people would think he was nuts. They think all witches and wizards were 'burned at the stake' back, like, a billion years ago, and refuse to think anything different." She finished. N'awww, silly muggles.

"Back then, when it first happened, everyone already knew that You-Know-Who had returned, by this point, so the Minister didn't need to hide it from everyone. He only leant on the Prophet to avoid hte public going into disarray, and can you blame him? But isnt it the minister's fault then if the situation gets worse? I think so."
Fee took a deap breath.

Looking to the next team, she frowned a bit as she listened. It sounded as they really hadn't come to a real consensus about what to say and were slightly fighting amongst themselves. Clearing her throat, she looked pointedly at them. "Yes, the Ministry would look out for themselves first and cover themselves. Crude as it may sound, they would go into survival mode. We have to remember this is a hypothetical situation and the Statue is not in effect. But you have to also take into a count just who was the ministry was made up of at the time. There is no question as to whether it was right for the minister to contact the Prime Minister, I wanted to know the possible different view the Ministry as a whole would interpret the event." They had gotten most of what she wanted them to get, but she felt still maybe they didn't completely grasp the point.
Two teams out of three wasn't really that bad, was it?
Pushing herself off her desk, she looked back to all the groups with a small smile. "Well, how about we move on to another topic before we end the lesson and I give out the homework?"
Yes, it was quickly approaching the end of the lesson.
"This will be a quick question, I promise. In honour of our visiting guests, each team will take the view of a school. As we discussed earlier, where you are from will affect how you might view something. The same goes to where you get your education. As I mentioned before, the lessons I was t taught here differed from those I was taught whilst I was at the American Academy. But history is history and you can't change how it happened, but you can change how you are taught it. For example, do you think wars here are taught with the same vigour overseas, where they don't directly affect those it's being taught to?" History of the world can be taught all over, but if it held no meaning, it wouldn't truly have an effect on people.
"Team Green will be the Durmstrang Institute. Team White will have Hogwarts. Team Purple is the Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. Now, here is the event I want you to discuss. The Tri-wizard Tournament. It has been held between the three schools for sometime before it was stopped. When it was brought back, Hogwarts played home to it. Now thinking about each school and their views, how do you think each school felt about it taking place here?"
Cassandra noticed the Ravenclaw guy that kept on mentioning grilled cheese enter the room with an actual plate of grilled cheese sandwiches!
"Cool! I can't believe you actually have a plate of sandwiches right here" She said as she took one from the plate "Thanks!"

Cass was pleased that the professor like their answer. Then, while chewing on the sandwich that she had gotten from the plate on the teacher's table earlier, she listened to what else the professor had to say.

Cass listened intently and thought...How did Dumstrang, in their case, felt about the Triwizard tournament happening once again. and here of all places.
"Well, first off, I think everyone would think that it would be like history repeating itself. They're afraid that someone might die once more. I mean, if I remember correctly, Cedric Diggory was one of the first casualties of the second war, right?" Then she stopped, being afraid would be a normal response from any student. But how would Dumstrang, specifically, think? Well...it is a school were dark magic is a normal occurance...Grindelwald did go there...So, she cleared her throat and added "I think, the students of Dumstrang would be less afraid compared to the students of Hogwarts and Beubaxtons...they all know how to effectively defend themselves from the dark arts...and to be honest, from what I heard from my relatives and from previous accounts of former Dumstrang students like Viktor Krum said that dark Arts is just an everyday sight for them..."
Hogwarts! Yay White Team.
"I think that schools abroad do teach with the same amount of vigour because it's still part of history, history that have shaped our world even though it will not have much of an effect to the ones being taught to, Although I also think that maybe they taught with different perspectives depending on their view of the subject." Dianna said as she lowered her hand.
She faced her group mates. So..
"I guess Hogwarts and it's students felt glad because..because it is our school representing the home of the tournament.." she said. Just a suggestion..

Oh great. A new topic...but they were to represent Beauxbatons Academy of Magic. How was she to know how they feel about having the triwizard tournament held here? She never knew anyone from there and she never spoke with anyone from the said academy since term started. She looked at her fellow teammates, hoping that someone speak up, perhaps she'd speak up too, if one of them would, but no one did yet. And she had no definite idea about what to say yet.
maybe if she spoke up, they would say something too? she took a deep breath and opened her mouth, hoping her voice would be audible. Gosh, the petite girl was too shy! her mind was racing; just say it! she scolded herself mentally.
"u-um...m-maybe..." she bit her lip. " i-i'm not r-really sure...about h-how Beauxbatons feel...with the triwizard tournament held here, but...d-don't you think t-they'll be a bit hostile...considering it wasn't held at their school, but then again...won't they be kind of excited to be able to go...to visit Hogwarts or something? And...b-be so competitive j-just so they c-could show that they c-can deal with the hard tasks in the tournament?"
she was practically wringing her fingers together and looking down on her lap, hoping that her teammates would speak up, or atleast, heard her.

From her seat, Cass noticed her bestfriend looking very uncomfortable in the Purple team. "Hey Heather, are you alright?"

Heather thought about nodding her head or not. She can't remember how much Cass's cousins think. She may understand how others may feel but she isn't a fool to think stepping into other people's shoes is easy. But, it's worth a shot. After all, Cass is related to them. maybe they think like cass does?

We'll have Hogwarts..Yaaaaaaayyyyyyy..!!! "Umm. I think it's feels like Déjà vu. If I'm not mistaken that Hogwarts has been chosen as the host of The Triwizard Tournament at 1994 and Cedric Diggory was killed that day." she said. "And as Hogwarts students I felt honored and afraid at the same times. Honored because Hogwarts was being chosen again as a host to this tournament and afraid if something like in 1994 Triwizard Tournament happen again." she added then she looked back to her parchment
Well, how could Beauxbatons feel about the Triwizard Tournament.
"I if i was a Beauxbatons student i would be excited to visit another school for the Tournament. But i am sure i would be more proud if the tournament was held at my school. In my country. For sure the journey would be more excting for the champion cause all of the forgein students came to be one.But also traveling to another school in another countrey would be interesting cause of the contacts you could make and the forgein culture and language. But also the winning aspect would play a huge role. If the tournament was held in france and a champion from another country would win, it would lower my ego as a beauxbatons student. So there are upsides and downsides for bauexbatons to be here."
Fee took a deep breath, that was much.
Too late, too late, I know. >_< I guess it's better for me to join in white team.

Evan had been sitting in his corner, trying to keep up with every answer people gave. He hadn't participated, for everything he was going to say had already been said. But right now, only two people had talked in their group, and only one of them had touched his point of view a little. So, clearing his throat while ordering his ideas in his brain, he turned to his team mates and explained his thoughts.
"I believe, Hogwarts will be pretty honoured," he started with an edge on the last word. "However, we, of course, could not avoid any fears that the history would repeat itself. Therefore, we would probably take extra care that nothing would happen." He paused, thinking for a few seconds before going on. "And of course, perhaps prepare even better to avoid any inconvenience."

Iris smirked as the boy came back with sandwiches. Grilled Cheese... wasn't really her thing. But she was SOO very hungry. Cautiously taking one off the boys plate, she gave him half a smile. "Thanks..."
Now... teeny bites. Maybe it will taste better that way.
The Prefect listened to one of the other girls in her Green Group. While she had good points, Iris didn't think she answered the question fully. She started talking about fear and whatnot, instead of how the school would feel about it. But, instead of commenting on this, Iris used this girls ideas to elaborate hers more. "I agree with some of what you're saying. Although, I personally think that Durmstrang would have possibly have been a tad annoyed with the fact that Hogwarts got the Tournament." She took another bite out of the sandwich, "Because like you just said. Durmstrang learn the Dark Arts. They're less affraid of them. My guess is that when it got brought back, the Headteacher of Durmstrang - and a lot of the students - would have believed that Durmstrang was better suited for the Tournament for the very reason that the School is built around the Dark Arts. They'd have believed that they could make better challenges et cetera."
Iris smiled a little. "I personally think that if the Triwizard Tournament got reinstated and handed over to Durmstrang, they'd have been very pleased with this achievement... But there must have been some kind of discussion between the Three Heads and the Minister to decide which school got it. And with Dumbledore... Well, the other two heads wouldn't have had a chance, really. Which... would probably have annoyed the Durmstrang lot a fair bit, 'specially if they believed they could host it better." Okay, so this wasn't EXACTLY what the professor asked them to discuss, but it was Iris' opinion on the matter, and she'd tried to make it sound like it would work as part of the discussion. Everyone wins. Teehee.

Dianna listened to the girl's explanation.
"Yes and also that after the first time in centuries when the tournament was to be held again, Harry Potter was one of the chosen champions for Hogwarts." she added.

"Yeah I agree with you." Freya said. "As a host to this tournament Hogwarts should increase vigilance so something like in 1994 Triwizard Tournament won't happen again this time" she added.

Freya nodded at the girl opinion. "Yeah. Thank Merlin that no one under seventh year being chosen this time." she laughed. "History will repeating itself if that happen now." she sighed.
