"Yes, it is impossible. And I can think of a lot of reasons for me to deprive myself of your "lovely voice." Amber fake glared, flipping a page pf her magazine. Jinx got in the way and meowed, annoyed. "Well if you don't like it then move!" She gently put the cat by her feet where it glared at her, tail swishing wildly. "Travis, I don't see why I'm talking to you about this. Go and meet him yourself!"

Hayley looked up as someone addressed her and she smiled. "Nice to meet you Rex. I'm Hayley Moon." She said simply. Unofficial greeter, hmm? "Well you're doing an awesome job, tell me when you get your badge." She laughed. Oh gosh, well Rex seemed nice and hopefully he would be okay with her sillyness.

"Hogwarts is amazing so far. I'm stunned by the Great Hall, and the common room of course." She said taking another look around at it. She could already tell that she would be sitting by the fire most of the time, it was really pretty and seemed like it would be a peaceful place. Hah, he agreed.

Travis smiled at her, "You don't have to be so mean my dear," he said with a grin, she saw her shove the cat away, "Don't be so mean to the kitty cat," he picked up Jinx and began stroking her fur. He looked at Amber, "I don't like meeting new people......just tell me Amber."

" You welcome" Rex told Anna. " I just know good people when I see them" Rex said to Anna. " Well, thank you for the kind words, too" Rex smiled.

" Well hello Hayley Moon" Rex told her. "I think I am doing an ok job, but I forgot my badge at the boys dormitory " Rex laughed. "Sctually, I have not ben to the boys dormitory " Rex explained To Hayley. "Well HogWarts has a lot to offer besides the Great Hall and the common room" Rex smiled. "Are you going to check out the grounds?' Rex asked her.

Amber rolled her eyes, putting her magazine down next to her. She huffed and said, "Fine, whatever. He's about my height, maybe a little taller. Brown hair and eyes. He's prefect and he's really friendly. He's funny and loves to eat cookies." She laughed, remembering the feast and how ravenous Brant had been. Oh shoot, now she was getting embarrassed. She returned to her magazine. "Okay, I told you about Brant. Now would you go and meet him for yourself? You're starting to embarrass me."

Hayley laughed at Rex's joke. "Well if I see you again, which I hope I will, you must show me that badge and you better not be lying." She said shaking her head at the thought of him with a piece of paper taped to his shirt. Haha. Thenn he said he hasn't even been to the boy's dormitory yet. "Liar." She stated, jokingly.

"Well I have been to the pumpkin patch already, I took a quick glance into the Great Hall and I've been here, obviously." She smiled. "How about you?" She asked her slightly australian accent coming out of her voice. She had visited Australia this past summer and it must've grown on her.

Hayley wondered what year Rex was in. He looked about her age, but maybe a little older? "What year are you in? I'm in my 5th." She said simply.

Travis smiled and kept petting Jinx, he nodded, "I guess I will meet Brant he sounds nice enough," he said with a grin as he saw her getting embarrassed and start to blush, "I am not embarrassing you talking about Brant is embarrassing you as well as making you blush." He smirked and looked at her, "I thought I was the only one that made you blush, now I am jealous," he said teasingly, but his sentence did have a little bit of truth; he was jealous but Amber did not need to know that.

"Other people are allowed to make me blush, Travis. Inanimate can as well. But that's not the point." Amber grinned, remembering that time when a suit of armor had come alive. When someone spotted her talking to it, she'd blushed like mad. Ahh, memories. "You are the only one that makes me blush on purpose without realizing it. And are you jealous? Really?" She smiled evilly. Everything was falling into place. Bwahaha...

Travis smiled at her, "But I like to see you blush you look insanely cute when you blush plus I enjoy giving you compliments," he said with a teasing wink, "Am I jealous?" he shrugged and looked at her, "yeah as a matter of fact, I am jealous."

Amber tried to stop it, but failed miserably. She was blushing like crazy, like Travis always made her do. Didn't he promise to stop doing that? he might as well stop talking to her then. "You promised to stop it." She smiled, but it turned into more of a solid line. "Why are you jealous of Brant? I mean, he has a girlfriend." She frowned, flipping another page of her magazine. OOO, QUIZ!

Travis smiled and saw her blushing he shrugged, "As hard as I try I can't stop making you blush," he said as he saw her talk, "ohhh, you forgot to mention that part, I wonder why?" He looked at her as she flipped through her magazine.

Lilyana smiled. Maybe people just don't favor the slytherins either. I hear they can be pretty nasty to everyone else! She had already been told by random people that she should stay clear of the slytherins, but she'll just have to be convinced. They're can be nice slytherins too, I suppose she thought. But getting back to her conversation with Kurumi, she answered,I think that would be great! Maybe you could sell them or something even, you know, to get a little income. Lilyana laughed. People would buy cookies for sure! Especially Kurumi's cookies!

Josiah walked into the common room with a sigh. Another year back at Hogwarts. It wasn't a bad thing, of course. He'd just had a good summer. He was a little sad it was over. He sat in one of the big, cushy chairs and looked around. Huh. No one he really knew. No surprise. Well, may as well make the most of this moment to relax. There probably wouldn't be that many more relaxing moments to come. He closed his eyes and breathed in deeply. He wouldn't be opposed to a conversation, of course, but the precocious thirteen-year-old wasn't going to start one.

"Not yet, but maybe we can share a dorm?" She tried not to sound too hopeful, she hadn't met many people yet. She'd been reading a good book.... she couldn't put it down....... "I'm actually headed up there now! Maybe you can help me unpack?"

"You're welcome." said Pacifica with a smile. "Enchanted eh? Cool." said Pacifica truthfully.

Right after Heather yawned, Pacifica yawned too. She giggled. "I'm tired myself. Let's go."

" Well, you do not believe an older student, well" Rex pretended to be upset with Hayley, but laughed real hard. "Well, of course I have been everywhere at HogWarts since I transferred here two terms ago" Rex explained to Hayley. " This term, I have been to the lake, Pumpkin Patch and of course, the common room" Rex told Hayley." I love your accent, you must be from Australia, right?" Rex asked Hayley. " I am in my sixth year" Rex said to Hayley. "We will be great friends" Rex smiled.

This was the first time Kurumi had heard about Slytherins having a bad reputation and her violet eyes widened a bit. She had a coupld good friends in Slytherin and her best friend, Adam was dating one - a rather overprotective and overbearing one at that. "I have met a few very nice people from Syltherin," she replied more to reassure herself than Lilyana. "Although...there was this one 4th year Slytherin who looked like she wanted to rip my head right off for talking to a Josh, a 4th year Gryffindor..." she shuttered at the memory from the feast. She then pondered the other girl's idea of her selling her cookies. If she did that, then she really would be a magical girl scout...it was very tempting. "I'll have to think about that," she laughed covering the box of cookies and tossing her long black pony-tail of her shoulder. Kurumi really liked Lilyana's smile and was a little jealous of her long curly hair. Kurumi would have to try and make her hair curly like that at some point.

Hayley laughed with Rex as he joked as being upset at her. Nobody could really be upset with her, well rarely at least. "I guess that makes sense." She nodded as he explained he had transferred here two years ago. "I transferred this year from a muggle school." She stated. Gah, she hated the muggle schools, no magic allowed at all. Meh.

Her accent? Oh so he heard it. "Well I'm not really supposed to have an Australian accent but I visited Australia this summer so I guess it grew on me. Anyways I'm originally from California but I stayed with my cousins in Hawaii this summer." She said, happy that she had a cool accent now. Hehe. Hopefully it would stay. 6th Year, hmm? Ooooohhh! "Yes we will be. You're very nice, Mr. Rex Trigwell." She agreed with a smile.

Kurumi, who was chasing her calico munchkin cat, came out from the girls' dormitory and into the common room. She dove for her cat, who then took a sharp right turn and avoided her - Kurumi went crashing to the floor. The cat, seeming very proud of itself proceeded to the nearest seating place: the lap of a resting red headed student. Kurumi, whose face had just been buried in carpet looked up just in time to see her cat curl up in a ball and give her a look that sad better luck next time.

Josiah's eyes snapped open in surprise when there was suddenly a loud noise and a... furry thing in his lap? Kitty!!! He loved cats! But... What was it doing in his lap? "Um." he said, looking at the girl who was now on the floor. "Is this yours?"

Kurumi really needed to stop meeting upperclassmen in these strange ways. She could have strangled Walnut, the cat, or cast a spell on her to turn her purple if she had known such spells, but, for now, all she could do was pick herself off the floor and bow over and over again to the red-headed boy that Walnut had claimed as her new sleeping place. "Y-y-y-y-es it, er, she is," Kurumi stammered between bows. To someone who did not know better, it probably looked like she was head banging to music in her head."I'm really sorry!"

Daisy squeaked when her tickeld her and glared at him. "Rex you know I hate it when you or anyone does that," but she couldn't keep a straight face and burst into laughter. "Yeah okay you let me when." She smiled and said. "Well whenever you want a rematch just tell me."

''That's right'' Josh reassured Kurumi as she asked if he meant that he was going to pull a prank on a professor. He was that kind of a boy always after new exciting things and pulling a prank on a professor especially someone like Lafay was quite exciting. Hehehe. ''I am not going to hurt her plus she is not going to know who did it'' if she did it was going to be all 'detention' for him again. ''Doing it is not that hard. Anyone can do it, all you need is guts. Ah also you should be determined''


''My mother was a Ravenclaw. She loves rules and is always so serious.'' Josh began explaining now directly staring in Viky's eyes to express that he is serious now ''And she was expecting me to be like her. Being in Ravenclaw, reading books, having top grades in classes...'' he pretended to shiver and laughed ''What a life ha! Definitely i think i would die if i tried to live like that. Whatever. So she becomes a little bit dissappointed when she hears about all the trouble i caused and all the detention i have been through''

But of course, as usual, nothing was going to deter him from pulling that prank on Lafay. He was going to do it and Viky looked like she'd enjoy being a partner. Aaand yes how they were going to explain the state of the cake? ''We can tell that it is our creation. A different kind of cake. Looks weird but tasty. What do you think?''

''Oooo Siiiiiiiiimon!'' Josh went on with cheering as he hid himself behind the armchair yet he quickly rose from where he hid as he defended himself. Yeah that was right. Simon was not like a prefect yet it was Josh speaking because he felt the urge to speak. ''I know mate. Sorry'' so he said trying to manage a serious face. He was actually serious when he apologised yet for a boy like him it was always hard to keep a serious face except the times that someone else requested a fight. Like that Durmstrang boy at the feast.

And there was someone else, as it appeared, who was feeling uneasy about him pulling a prank on a professor. Especially on a professor like Lafay. To be honest this firstie was right at everything she said yet Josh was oh-so-confident that he believed he could success at this one too like he thought he successed at everything.

''Not to worry Heather!'' the boy smiled and put a hand on the girl's shoulder to reassure her that everything would be okay. ''I am a professional. I am sure i can handle Lafay or another detention. It does not matter. And i can win back the points i should lost with only a simple homework'' And he could always ask Evelyn to do his homework for him.

"umm..." Simon started as Viky asked outright of he'd be joining them, his hand absently rubbing the back of his neck as he silently debated. Defending the fact he wasn't a goody two shoes was one thing, actually doing something and on the first day back was another story.

"What the hay....I'll do it," he finally answered, trying his best to not appear nervous as he lowered his hand. Nervous was not for Gryffindors after all, bravery was.

"It's alright," he assured his friend, seeing Josh's attempt at a straight face and knowing he was at least trying to let him know it was a genuine appology. Simon waited for the other boy's reaction however to his actual acceptance of joining them on their idea.

Heather sighed in relief to hear Josh's answer. she was quite worried about him and his tricks, but when he assured her he'd do fine and he'd earn back the points he lost, she told herself, there's nothing to worry about then.

"oh...i-i almost forgot..." Heather showed Josh her panda doll that was about half her height. The doll was waving its arm at him. "T-this is my panda doll, Mr. Panda. He used to be an ordinary muggle doll from china but my parents enchanted him to become alive when i tap him with my wand and say 'flubby'...i have no idea why i have to say 'flubby'..." she blushed pink, a little embarrassed at the word her parents had instructed her to say. "...but for me to get him back to his inanimate state, i have to tap him with my wand again and say 'hibernate'." she smiled. "Mr. Panda says Hi...i think..." she said, guessing with Mr. panda's actions what the doll wanted to say.
