Eyes squinting against the sun, Ivory wrinkled and unwrinkled her forehead as she raised her eyebrows... as if that action alone would keep the overly large helmet balanced on her head without tipping forward. Come oooon frontalis muscles. Eyes open as wide as could be, she was able to at least keep the lip level with her eyebrows, sure that it was some sort of commendable feat. Unfortunately for her, while the action did leave her eyes uncovered it really hindered the whole looking around and watching out for flying rocks thing they were supposed to be doing. In fact, she pretty much just had to keep her head completely still and do this awkward sort of turn just to have peripherals. It was in the middle of one of these awkward shifty turns that she heard an unmistakable male cheer of exuberance. However it was not as unmistakable as the sudden sound of rock against bone...or more specifically rock against elbow, the momentum of it pitching her forward just enough so that her precariously balanced helmet tipped forward on her face. "Oi!" Wrinkling her nose in a grimace, she rubbed her funny bone even as her view of whoever had been the culprit was obscured. Oh how her elbow smarted. What was that phrase she'd thought earlier...what were a few rocks between friends.." She took it back...she soo totally took it back....could chasers throw quaffles at beaters in this no-bar game? Hmm...devious glint in her eyes, Ivy pushed up her helmet and peered out. She could almost hear the bubbling ebil laugh in her head. |

"I think all positions are fun", she told her friend,"what a pitty there is no seeker part." Oh her and Hugo on the same team? Yay. "I would love to play in the same team with you", she smiled. |
Pshawww now, you weren't supposed to have big ol' conversations while playing Quidditch! A zinger or two, or a well timed taunt were part of the fun, but conversations? Jimmy smacked a rock in the direction of a bunch of younger kids. What? They had padding, didn't they? |
Amy rolled her eyes as the anger managment boy started wacking rocks, she dodged and dived out of the way of the rocks, still keeping on her broom, a mean feat for accident prone Amy |
Hugo looked back just in time, because a rock came flying up to them in full speed. Hugo looked annoyed and whacked the rock back as hard as he could. "WATCH IT!!" he yelled angry. |

"I've never seen you this angry", she screamed giggling. Quote:
Fee smiled as she heard the worried tone of her bestie. "I am alright", she smiled sweetly,"thank you." What did Freya play? Maybe she could join the team. "Want to play in a team with me and Hugo", she asked ponting down to Hugo. |
Oh sweet mother of Merlin. Oliver gaped. Quidditch? They were playing Quidditch!? THEY WERE PLAYING QUIDDITCH! WOO HOO!!!! True, it was a half-cocked version of Quidditch but it was enough to satisfy the former Captain's withdrawals from the game for an hour or so. Miranda so should have been here. She would have LOVED this. Now.. the question was, which position to play? Oliver was a seasoned player in ALL those positions. OH yeah, because he was THAT awesome. Looking around and grimacing when he saw Cam with a bat in her hand, he was tempted to go for the same position, so at least he would have the protection of his own bat. He didn't much fancy being thwacked with a rock. But EVERYONE seemed to be going for Beater, so the Snake decided to, very typically of his nature, be different from the masses and he opted for Keeper. He went to grab the gear needed, a broom and protection and, of course, a helmet. His precious noggin needed a-protectin'... especially if he was vulnerable and in goal. After getting 'suited up', he kicked off the ground and up up up up he soared. “WOOOOOOOOO!!!!” Oh my.. Jeez, it was good to be back in the air. The delight showed in the Slytherin's face as he circled the pitch a few of times (like the show off he was) and positioned himself in goal. Stuff Lainey. Professor Vindictus was now officially his favourite professor. "Bring it." heh. |
Emmaleigh just kinda stared in shock at the professor as she explained the practical part of today's lesson. So she was expected to play a game she barely understood on a broom that she couldn't fly very well? oh, this was going to be so much fun. She headed over to the equipment, and grabbed the padding, and put them on, and picked up one of the brooms. She tried to decide what position she should play. She wanted to keep both hands on the broom, so she decided on keeper. It was really the only position she understood, after all, muggle sports had the same position. And this way, all she had to do was concentrate on not getting hit with a rock, and blocking the other ball. She was probably going to fail miserably, but atleast she was participating. Em mounted the broom, and kicked off the ground. She felt so shaky on the broom, it was not a feeling she liked. "Flying bathtubs really would be better" she said to herself. She carefully flew over to the goal post, all the while making sure a ruck wasn't coming her way. |
XD he doesn't mean anything by it, so ya know Quote:
Firsties. Buahah. "I was watchin'." He pointed out with a modest grin. That had been the entire point, see? Come on now.... While people were still getting into the swing of things, Jim simply flew around with a grin on his face, thwacking bludger!rocks out of the way. It was good practice after all and it felt SO good being up there flying and all. Flying. And showboating. Yes he was. |

Hugo almost vomited at the sight of that snotty guy. Was this what his fellow Ravenclaws were like? He flew around. No rocks to hit just yet... |

"No need to worry, darling." How sweet of Freya. "Ummm...", she tought," i dont think so.Does it have to be beater? I think we dont have a chaser, yet." |
Woah. o.O Just how many Beaters were there out there? Oliver squinted over the pitch. There were rocks flying everywhere. Still, it looked awesome fun. “WE NEED CHASERS, PEOPLE!” He bellowed as loud as he could from his place in the goal, seemingly forgetting this was class and not Quidditch practice. But, jeez! You could hit rocks with a stick anywhere. This was supposed to be Quidditch. QUIIIIIDDITCH! *flail* |

Hugo thought about it. Hmmm yeah, too much beaters. He flew down and put the bat down. He was going to be a chaser now! "Hey," he said. "I'll be a chaser." |
Oh goodness gracious! O_O Oliver was obviously gonna go MAD at the fact he was gonna get to play Quidditch again. And well, so was Trixie, just not AS excited as he was. The Blonde rolled her eyes as she mounted her broom after putting on her protective gear. The sixteen year old flew up on her broom to meet her bestie, Oliver where he was. "Well I guess your gonna have to leave that to me right?" she winked. "You wouldn't let me play another position right?" she raised her eyebrow at her former captain. Well she wouldn't be allowed a bat again after the events of Muggle Studies, though she hadn't done anything with it.... But he SAW her last term out on the pitch. Then again she was surprised she was even allowed on a broom. She was passionate A little TOO passionate. |

Heh. Oliver saw a couple of people moving, putting their bats down and deciding to play chaser. He grinned at an eager younger boy and gave him the thumbs up, not moving away from the goal. Quote:
“Merlin save us.” He teased with a smirk. He knew Trixie would opt for Chaser. “Jus', let's not have a repeat of the accidents during the last match, 'kay?” He winced dramatically. He knew what the demure looking blonde was like once she got on the pitch. He was just grateful she hadn't made a |
"I can play either." Jimmy offered, smacking a rock out of the way even as he spoke. Again not aiming at anyone, but then people were still being slow to get in there weren't they? Mer-lin. He just wanted to play for REAL. |
Fee flew by the baskets and waited for the neyt ones to attack. Qudditch was just awesome. She was soooo looking forward for the real game next term. |
Wasn't there a quaffle anywhere? Hugo looked around. Oh. It had been thrown in the air but noone had cought it, so it fell down again. It was on the ground. Great. Hugo retrieved the quaffle from the ground. Wow, it was much heavier. He flew up while pushing his fingers in the... holes... This quaffle had holes. At a good height, he paused. Anyone? No? Noone to throw to? He got himself together and started zooming around looking for someone to throw the quaffle to. ZOOOM! A rock passed his ear, causing his hair to stand up. He twirled for a bit, then started flying. |
Trixie rolled her eyes at Oliver. "Oh I can't promise you that" she smirked. If she wanted to be, what she called passionate, she was going to be. And if that meant an innocent firstie got punched in the face whilst she was doing it then so be it. Okay HE'D have to stop her before she did that. It was a real match last time that had happened and she didn't truly mean it. Her mind was caught in the moment, besides she was being threatened with the bat then. The Slytherin flew away from her bestie and looked over at the other student that had chosen to be a chaser too. Seeing as it had been her favourite position last year during the games, it was only natural for her to want to play again. The blonde tried to get the younger students attention. He could throw to her if he wanted, just as long as they both avoided those flying rocks. |

YAY! QUIDDITCH TIME! Quickly grabbing a Beater's bat, Josh mounted his broom and with a quick kick to the ground he started to enjoy flying with a broom. Finally. He had been missing the Quidditch games this year and this was a great opportunity to make up for that. However right now instead of thinking how he enjoyed flying, he needed to look around for those rocks to protect the other chasers and keepers. Hmmm. Hmmmm. And he just knew who to protect. Yet where was she? |
Oliver smirked and shook his head as he watched Trixie fly off. She was so bad. The pitch was riddled with firsties – he just hoped she would hold back a bit. This was supposed to be fun. He readied himself.. though he was more likely to be hit by a rock than need to defend the goal. |
