Flying Lesson #2 Located directly next to the castle is a vast expanse of green grass. This is where all Flying Lessons take place unless Professor Vindictus changes the venue. A portable bin covered with a purple tarp is next to the professor. Don't even dare to peek under the tarp - what's underneath will be revealed during the lesson. (Be thankful it isn't moving!) If you're here for the lesson, please have a seat on the grass and wait for the professor to begin. Do not announce that you're late or else points will be taken away. If you're not here for the lesson and show up with broom from the Broomshed because you want to go for a joy ride on the grounds, then expect to face the wrath of Vindictus. |
"Hello Professor, how are you today?" Nessa said as she walked on to the pitch it was alittle cold and she was wearinf the warmest clothes she had. When she walked in she noticed a purple tart. what was that there for? she wondered |
Oh great. Another covered box-lookin thing, all prepared for a big reveal. Fletcher strolled down to the grassy area designated for flying class and eyed the purple tarp thing warily. He hmmph'd to himself and took a seat on the grass, a good, good distance away from whatever it was. He had not been expecting Vindictus to be one for big reveals --- that was Professor Carlton's thing ---- but then again, the man did seem to like the dramallama. |
Flying! She needed to fly. Being cooped up in the common room and studying all the time was not doing any good for her. Physically that is. She even had skipped a few morning and evening runs! She was losing it! Sighing, and kicking a rock, the Slytherin made her way down to where the lesson would be, keeping her dark green jacket close to her. It was still cold out. Why, was it still cold out? "G'day Professor..." she mumbled before plopping herself on the ground and huddling up into a ball to keep warm. Warmness! |
Time for flying. WooHoo. Marie made her way to the pitch hoping that today they would not have to fly on mops "Hello Professor Vinny," she said as she ran onto the pitch. Seeing the purple tarp covering something she knew that Professor V had some sort of surprise in store for them. She was really tempted to go peak and see what was under that tarp but she didn't want to feel the wrath of Vinny. She had already felt that last term. Instead she chose to just go sit on the grass, as close as she could to the tarp covered surprise. Now, where were her friends? Oh, there was Evelyn... sitting over there. Hmm, maybe she should move. Nah, she wanted to be close to the tarp covered crate. She would talk to Evelyn later. |
Salander trudged up to the greens, his anxiety betrayed only by the slight slowness in his pace. His last flying lesson wasnt exactly flawless to put it mildly-- although he lay the blame squarely on those ridiculous wet mops. He prided himself of doing well on the brooms despite his "Greetin's Prof!" he replied as he gave a small salute to the Flying Professor. He sat himself onto the grass and eyed the purple tarp curiously. |
Lol! Riley hadn't been to any of the other Flying lessons but he had heard they could get a bit messy. After debating with himself for a good thrity minutes, the Gryffindor had dressed in some old jeans and a grey hoodie and grabbed an old blanket as he left the Common Room. He entered the area designated for the class and sighed disappointedly as he saw they would indeed start out in a mess, sitting on the grass. Normally he wouldn't mind but it was cold out and the ground was hard and a bit muddy. Spreading out the blanket, not looking to see if anyone noticed, Riley made his seat ready and then sat down, nodding to the Professor in a greeting. |
Wooo! Destiny would never miss a chance to show off her amazing, yet slow flying skills! Even if the weather was really, really cold out. Ahh well. The wind would just make her winter cloak flap and she would totally look like a muggle super hero person. People would be so jealous! Taking a seat in the grass, her eyes focused on whatever was under that purple tarp. If she was a super hero, she totally know what it was. X-Ray vision and all that good stuff. |
Adam knew the only way to get better at flying was by actually attending the classes. He walked into the field and said "Hello Professor- I hope today will be a fun and educational time."he went around, found a nice piece of grass and sat down on it . Yes, flying- he had to get better at it. |
Simon had missed the first flying class having gotten his times mixed up so he made sure to be sure to attend this one. He had been wanting to get back on the broom and with no quidditch due to the Tourniment, this was one of the only ways he could do so aside from when he was home with his family. Strolling to the area of the grounds set aside for the lesson, the Gryffindor spotted the rest of the class seated in wait. "Good day Professor,' he greeted simply before taking his own seat on the cold ground. His curious glance passing to the tarp beside the older man. |
Finally a class Vashti was actually looking forward to, even in her less-than-out-going mood. At least when she was in the air she could temporarily forget her problems, as she had to focus on not crashing the broom she was riding - or whatever it was they were flying today. So right now she was feeling a little more upbeat than usual. "Hello, Professor," she said, managing a smile as she took a seat on the grass, eyeing the tarp-covered thing. What could possibly be under there? Hm... |

scoot... scoot... scoooooot... Slowly making her way over to the warm blanket, the Slytherin finally sat on the edge of it, giving the guy who owned the blanket a 'Kick me off and I'll kick you' kind of look, Evelyn once again rolled up into a ball...and fell to her side. The blanket, it warmed her face. It felt so nice. |
Now this was something he was looking forward to! He definitely kept his eyes on his watch to make sure he would be on time for the lesson and wouldn't miss it. With his Beauxbatons uniform on, wrinkle free of course, a light jacket on and hands in his pockets, Noel made his way down to the lesson with Jermaine. Who knew if the girls would show up. He was ready to fly however! Of course, he did not miss the purple tarp. What was under it? "Bonjour, Professor." |
Ohh! Flying class! Just what Carter needed. "Hello Professor." he said happily entering the pitch. He looked around before heading over to Marie was. He gave her a little nod and then looked down at the ground. Ehh... he'd just stand. |
"Good afternoon," Vindictus greeted the students as they arrived. At least some of them were wearing warm enough clothing considering it was the middle of winter. Quote:

YIPPEEEEE! Flying time! Lexi had practically sprinted down to the pitch for class she was so bleedin' excited. Wrapped up tight to stay warm she spotted Riley and went over and plopped herself down righ next to him. "Good day, Professor Vindictus!" she called out rather cheerfully. No quidditch... Flying class would suffice. Mhmmm. |
Quote:
"Sorry Professor, I am a student here." he said standing up and then yanking the blanket off of the ground (and from under the Slytherin girl he hand't noticed had joined him) and balled it up. "It won't happen again sir." the Gryffindor placed it out of the way and planned to take it back up to the castle as soon as the lesson was over. |
Like seriously? Vinny just took points from Marie for calling him...Vinny? WHY!? It was a good name. No disrespect from it! He should EMBRACE the name! VINNY! EMBRACE IT! Vinny Vinny Vinny... Quote:
That is, until she squeaked in surprise and found herself on her back when the blanket was yanked from under her. *scoff!!!!* "You could've asked me to move you know..." Bad list. He was on the bad list. |

Walking along with Noel he made his way down to where the lesson would be held. "Bonjour Professor, zank you for inviting us to join your lesson today." he said as he stood next to Noel waiting for the lesson to start. Now where were Monique and Brielle? |
Quote:
He sniffed sadly, the cold air getting to him, and then waited for the rest of the lesson. |
Flying, classs Bristol was very excited about flying. She loved it. "Hello Professor, How are you today?" as she sat down it the grass waiting for the lesson to begin. |
Jacob walked down towards a purple tarps... oooh... Professor V's being sneaky like a ninja! Quidditch Ninja! Whooo. Maybe they'll learn how to do awesome ninja moves on a broom... That.Would.Be.AWESOME! But as Jacob got closer the first thing he heard, was Vindictus taking 5 points from a Slytherin and a Gryffindor. "mm. Cranky" he mummbled to himself. Jacob sat on the grass and shut his mouth. Dont wanna get Vindictus angry at him, that would be the second helping of Angry Vindictus à la carte. Jacob did not want that. So he just nodded his greetings. |
Sandra was looking forward to the flying lesson, having no other way to relax around the castle since most of the people that helped her relax were in this lesson. Strolling over to the students wearing her school robes and fur cloak, she took a seat close to both Fletcher and Noel, giving them both smiles. Yea, she attended the right lesson. With a small nod in greeting at the professor, she waited for the lesson to begin. |
Quote:
O___O Carter was standing by her? Did he not realize who he was standing by or what? Probably not since he didn't say anything to her. Oh, a nod. Looks like he still wasn't talking to her. However, she was about to say hi to him anyway when... Quote:
She lost five points just because she called him Professor Vinny? How was that disrespecting him? It would have been disrespect if she wouldn't have said Professor first. "But sir I wasn't trying to disrespect you. I was just trying to be friendly." Seriously, she always had a feeling that he didn't like her, now she knew he didn't. |
Flyying!! The small badger was so excited about the lesson, despite the cold temperature. Skipping to the grassy area, bundled up for the weather and flying, she took a seat near the front but away from bin. Just because it wasn't moving did not mean that nothing was in there. |
