Evelyn's mind was obviously at work over something he'd said; Raiden could see that look in her eyes. But it was not dancing conversation. It wasn't something he regularly told to people, after all. He'd only told a few of his friends. The number had dropped off recently, as it was no longer a problem. He'd told Nia just for the sake of her knowing...

"Could have been worse," he murmured, shrugging. "It could've been bad enough to have kept me from Hogwarts. Then I really would have never learned this."

He grinned, watching her stormy expression lighten. There, that was the expression one should wear while glowing strange colours and dancing in the dungeons with their prefect. No worried or sad faces.

"Definitely. It worked out in the end. Between you and Monique having helped me with it, I'll be better at it than I'd ever expected. Won't spend all my time looking at my feet."

He kinda liked this music, too. He'd have to conjure it more often.

She could not imagine a Hogwarts with no Raiden. She didn't know if it was the potion, the dancing, or what, but she was being particularly normal at the moment. Actually feeling sad at the fact that their amazing Slytherin prefect wouldn't have been here? Actually being quite close in distance to someone without freaking out?

Smiling?

Hehehehe. She couldn't help it. Too good of a mood at the moment. "Monique?" she choked out, feeling quite alarmed at the name. Smiley mood was gone again. Jeez, did this potion cause mood swings? "Like...that French girl, Monique? The one that lives with us?" THAT one? Hmm, yes, Evelyn didn't like that one. Tried to hide herself in the girl's dormitory as much as she could whenever the french girl was in the common room. That, or stay outside.

"I didn't know she's been helping you..." Psssh. Bet she didn't teach Raiden how to tango dance! Yea, that's right. One point for Evelyn!

Point one point for Frenchie! "Well regardless of you helped you," Evelyn! She did! "You're definitely a better dancer than three fourths of these guys here." Because she said so.

And because it was probably true anyways.

Why did Evelyn suddenly look so... horrified? Monique wasn't that bad... she was actually very sweet. He liked her.

"Yeah... I met her in the common room a bit after they got here... she's nice." He frowned a bit. "Do you not like her or something?"

He'd only had one miniature lesson with her, and he'd looked at his feet during it.

He was suddenly very aware of his feet.

"She helped me a bit, yeah. Not much yet, but she said she'd help me stop looking down, and she give me more lessons."

D'aaaaaaaw. He was? His greenish face blushed, which was odd because it wasn't the right kind of blush. It wasn't red... it was a darker green light visible against the lighter green.

"Well thank you." He grinned. "I bet you're better than ninety percent of the girls here."

Possibly even Monique. Hehe. He turned again, pulling her along with him. Yuuuuup, it was still fun.

"D'you wanna try a different one soon?"

Either way, it didn't matter to him. He was having fuuuuuun.

Though she did have to marvel that the Slytherins endured such hardships. How unfortunate...

Finally get his hand around the end of his wand, Patroclus muttered, "Lumos". As his wand tip lit up, Patroclus saw that his robes were soaked, "Just great!" he spat again, before turning it's light onto his attacker.

The boy broke out into hysterical laughter, "Neppy!" He called, all angry thoughts banished, after all Nep had a crush on him, right?


"Sorry about being a jerk," he smiled, whislt crawling on his knees to help her end, wincing with pain as he went.

Neptune's frown only grew with the light. If it was a boy that had coined a pet name - a horrible pet name, at that - then shouldn't he be familiar enough to be concerned that she was wet and on the floor?

"I suppose that's alright," though truth be known, if he didn't give her a hand up soon, or help her get her hands clean, forgiveness might be off. It wasn't like she could grab her OWN wand with her hands THIS dirty.


"Are you hurt?" was that why he was walking on his knees on the DIRTY stone floor.....? Ugh! Slytherins were BARBARIC and they lived like GUTTER RATS! UGHH!

"It’s not that I don’t like her…" It was the other one that she HATED but, Monique didn’t even try to stop the other girl, Brianne or whatever her name was, from ruining almost everything. "Just a miscommunication I suppose."

Right, bad communication. She didn’t communicate AT ALL!

…Bahahaha! Look at his face! Giggling, she turned her head away, not being able to look at the glowing greenness of it for too long without falling into another fit of laughter. She however, was still glowing silver, not changing to more or less of it. Mostly because she KNEW she was better than ninety percent of the girls here; or more perhaps. She didn’t get a chance to see everyone dance at the Dance last year at the end of term so she wasn’t so sure. "Thank you."

Hmm, a different dance. She was just about to suggest one too! "We could try…well I believe I said Samba next. Do you want to try that one? Or another one. The Samba uses a lot of foot work and…hip movement."

Miscommunication? Well, surely that was something that could be cleared up eventually. Miscommunication happened all the time. They just had to talk again, maybe?

If they wanted to, that was.

She was giggling at him. The green glowing changed a little bit more. Merlin, who'd have thought green light in his skin would be embarrassing.

"Footwork and hip movement?" Raiden considered this. "Well we can try it? And if I can't figure it out then maybe something else instead."

His feet would surely comply, right? They were getting a lot better about going the way he wanted them to. Heh. Dropping Evelyn's hand, he flicked his wand again and the music stopped.

"I am fine" The boy smiled, getting his feet, and then taking the girl by both hands and pulling her up. Almost into an awkward embrace.

Glllllll........

"How are you?" He smiled, hoping there was no hard feelings, "Gosh this place is flithy!" he added, dusting what he could, off his pants. "I would offer to clean us up, but then we would lose the light." he smiled pointing to his wand.

"At least we are dirty together!"

It was true, they had both seen better days.....


"Where are we anyway?" He added, looking around in their bubble of wandlight.

Neptune's palms stayed out, away from her person and her robes and dress. What did he MEAN he couldn't clean her up? Staying dirty was NOT an option. "You will clean my wand if I get mine out for light." FACT. He just WOULD.


Cringing with her face turned away, Neptune lowered one icky hand into her purse where he wand was residing. She made little sad whimpers imagining all the EW and YUCK transferring from her hands to her glittery blue handle of her wand. WHIMPER.

"Ew ew ew," Neptune fished her wand out, touching it as little as possible, it dangling from her forefinger and thumb. "Lumos!" Now that there was TWO lights, Neptune could see exactly how dirty they both were. O__O WHIIIMMMPPPPPERRRRRRR. "Oh fix it, fix it, fix it!"

Patroclus smiled, Neppie was so cute when she whimpered.

As her wand illuminated the situation, Patroclus used his to clean them up.

"Ladies first," he smiled, before muttering, "Scourgify!" Moving his wand over the poor dirty girl, he looked like he was searching her for mental, like one of those people at Muggle Aports.....i think.......

"There you go, Lovely and Clean, now me Scourgify" the wan vanished the dirty from his robes, hands and pants, in a most excellent fashion.

"We are so clean now, we sparkle!" or maybe that was just the wand light!?

"Oh that's SO much better!!" Neptune gushed at Patroclus, first checking her hands, then her robes. She spun all the way around, taking the light from her wand around with her like a lighthouse. "Can you BELIEVE the living conditions of the lesser Houses?"

HONESTLY. Neptune Bott was going to write to the Minister and something. Surely this was inappropriate, even for Slytherins.


Now that that was out of her system, she could finally focus on Mr. Sparkly Gryffindor. "You think I sparkle? Hmmm?" GIGGLE. There might have been some eyelash batting. Wink.

Nodding her head, she smirked before giggling once more. "I mean, you don’t have to do all the hip work if you don't want to, but it makes the dance look and be more…interesting. Not only for spectators."

Bahaha. Raiden. Hip work.

Clearing her throat to pause the giggles, she finally noticed the music was missing from the corridor. Oh darn. It was rather good music though. No matter, they have some more later on if necessary. "Alright. So, with the basic steps of the samba, it starts off as follows…and it’s in a four beat fashion, such as either quick-quick-slow…or short-short-long. We’ll go with the quick-quick-slow I think." Mmhmm, yup. "So, take your left foot, and place it forward. Put all your weight onto it. And then right after, on the next beat, you’ll take your right foot and bring it up to meet your left foot."

Might as well show him right? Moving to his side, she glanced at him for a moment before showing him just in case. There was a little small bounce in her step, which was necessary for the movement.

"I could... I could try." Raiden looked inquisitively at his own hips. The thing was... he'd never had to make them move in dance-type ways. There were very few things that his hips had to move oddly for, so... new territory. Heh.

Four...beat fashion? Okay. That was easy enough to get in his head. Quick-quick-slow or short-short-long? Uhmmmmmer?

Good thing Evelyn demonstrated. Raiden was much more a visual learner than this technical stuff. Watching her, he couldn't help but grin at the bounciness in her steps. She was even more adorable when she was all energetic. Could they have this potion all the time?

He copied what she had done, trying to do the bouncy thing that she had done. Probably a lot less graceful at it... but oh well.

"I am amazed the Snakes don't have Vitamin D problems it's like a tomb down here!" Patroclus was disliking their current spot more and more with every passing moment, however he did enjoying hanging with Neppie.

Patroclus blushed, rather obviously too, "maybe?" he mumbled, twisting his foot all shy like.

This two were seriously cute.

Hmm, trying was good enough. Pfft, half trying was good enough too, because Slytherins were still one hundred percent better than any other house. Even their colors were better.

Giggling at his oh so obvious less graceful ways then hers, Evelyn calmed herself down before continuing. "And once you bring your right foot up, you want to put your weight onto that foot. More specifically though, the ball of the foot. Like so." Repeating what she just did, it was obvious the second time around that her weight went to her right foot. "That is the count right in between the first and second. So one…and…two." Mmhm, did he get that?

"On the next count, two, you want to put your weight onto your left foot again." Not that hard. "And then on count three, you step back with your right foot…and place your weight onto that foot as well." Demonstrating as she spoke, she looked up from her feet and to Raiden’s face.

"Got that?" Try it from the top perhaps?

Evan was, pretty oddly, still calm as he walked towards the Slytherin Common Room. He knew what he had just done was something huge, that he could get in serious trouble with his Head of House, but in the inside he felt well. At least he didn't waste his portion of phoenix tear, and that was the only thing he could do.

He could still hear voices coming from the classroom, though not understandable. Well, at least he could hope that his tear would be useful to those in much more need.

Marie walked out of the potions class into the corridor feeling pretty proud of herself for standing up to Lafay for what she believed in. So what if she got detention or took points from her. She had made her point that she was NOT going to waste a valuable ingredient on a potion that was pointless.

Once in the corridor she seen that Evan was still out there not too far ahead of her. "Hey Evan, wait for me." she said as she ran to catch up to him.

Evan turned at the sound, a smile spreading on his face. Sooo, Marie decided to be rebel too. Well, it was even better to know two tears would be spared. Stopping until she caught him, he said "You decided it was pointless too, eh?" Now he was pretty proud of them.

Marie caught up to Evan pretty quickly. "Yeah, I told Lafay I wasn't taking part in wasting something as important as phoenix tears just so she could make us drink a useless potion. Then I walked out." Of course now she would have to deal with the wrath of LaFlame later since she was their HoH. Oh well, she would just go to Headmaster Hottie Tate and explain to him what happened if she had to.

Evan grinned at her courage. Even voicing the sentence of "I wonder what she'll do to us now..." couldn't erase that grin. Yes, they might be in trouble, but at least they'd made their point and that was all that counted.

Noticing that this was the first time they were alone since the kiss, he froze for a second, wondering if she realised it too. He was determined not to bring any awkwardness between them though, didn't say it. Instead, he asked "We're free for an hour. What do you want to do now?"

Marie grinned back at Evan. Yes, they were rebels together, both protesting a class. "Who cares what she does. What's she gonna do, give us detention or take points away from us? Big deal, we can be in detention together then." Yep, detention could be fun if she had to serve it with Evan.

What? Did she say something wrong? Why did he freeze up like that? Then it hit her, they were alone, no one around them. Something that had not happened since they kissed. Oh no, was he thinking about kissing her again? No, she couldn't let that happen even though she would like it to. Shaking those thoughts out of her head she looked at him a little nervously.

Oh, what did she want to do for an hour? Maybe he hadn't been thinking about kissing her at all. Maybe it was just her thinking that. "Umm, we could always go to the Great Hall and get some food." Yep, there would be others there right? They wouldn't be alone then. No chance of her doing something she would regret later.

Evan smiled. Right, even detention wouldn't be so bad if he was with Marie. They could have fun together. Nodding at her, he said "Right, no big deal..." Although taking points would hurt, since they were only leading with 6 points or so... Anyways. He'd work harder to gain those back.

He didn't feel that hungry, but nodded nevertheless. There, they could run into people too, so they wouldn't have to worry about... stuff. "Great Hall sounds great," he said as he turned to go upstairs rather than going to common room.

Marie could tell that Evan wasn't so convinced that what they had done was no big deal. "Come on, it's not the end of the world here. I mean really, it's not like we make a habit of walking out of classes. Besides, who knows, maybe others will follow us. Think of all the phoenix tears we could be saving." Think of the lives they could be saving if those tears were put to good use.

Oh who was she trying to kid. Lafay would just find some other stupid reason to use those tears when what she should be doing is giving them to the healer, or St. Mungos.

Grabbing Evan's arm she said, "Come on, let's go back to the common room first and get rid of our stuff." There really was no need to carry it around when they were so close to their own common room. Plus they wouldn't have to worry about Lafay being in there right now, since she was still in the classroom.

Evan just nodded, not sure what he should say to Marie. It wasn't the end of the world, right, they'd get detention at worst, which was cool for the first time.

Oh. She grabbed his arm. He didn't flinch or take it back though. There was nothing wrong with that, she was his friend. It just felt odd after the kiss and stuff. Anyways. "Okay," he said and followed her to the common room.
