Nolan was seated on top of his desk as usual, although he looked much happier than last lesson. He wasn't wearing his glasses today and had instead opted for contacts, but he made up for his lack of style by wearing a stylish checkered cardigan. Yeah. He looked awesome.
Whistling merrily to himself, he drummed his fingertips on the top of his desk as he waited for the students to arrive.

As much as Kurumi enjoyed Divination, the ghost was just too interesting for her to ignore. She managed to write down the notes from the board before her attention went back to the ghost.

Alexandrie attempted to ignore Peeves, no wonder everyone hated the poltergiest, even if he wasn't as annoying as the other one named Samea or whatever it was. She listened intently as the Professor spoke and began to copy it down

Oh, "Hey Treyen! 'Tis been a while." It had. They should ketchup. "Why is it death, then?! What else could it mean?" Go on, try and answer that one.
Meanwhile, Ellie kept her eye on the self-mobile bag. Yup.
A while indeed. Haha. Like a year? No, not that far.
He had to sigh, and said very simply, "The end" as if an ending wasn't dramatic enough, "But it doesn't mean it's a bad thing" there are plenty of happy endings around.
One of them, Fletcher, getting out from those caves alive. That was a happy ending.

The glasses! Oh! It was Peeves the one that had been in the bag! Invisibility rocked! He should try it, after all, his wand had Demiguise hair as a core.
He suppressed a laugh, poor Professor Reynolds. He better not loose those glasses.
Copying down the list on his parchment, JD looks over the list with his eyebrow raised slightly. Hearing Ellie mention number 13, he looks around for her. His eyes lighting up as he notices where she was...just a few desks ahead of him. Well death, could mean many different things...couldn't it?
Spotting Peeves once again following the professor around, this time with his glasses on, JD shakes his head with a bemused look on his face. Rolling his eyes again, he looks over the list on his parchment.

Peeves. Dude. NO! She couldn't laugh! That would ruin everything. But. Heh. She liked that poltergeist, she did.
Anyway, back to Treyen. "Ends suck, man." Like the end of her first year. It meant change. And that people left. And she wasn't too fond of either of those. Nope.
"Name one." Just one good ending.

Yeah, well, some endings did.
And maybe she was right. But the point was that 'Death' in a card didn't truly meant death.
"It depends on how you look at it" he said, eying the Professor not sure if they were allowed to speak too much besides the cards topic? Though, this was technically a card-related conversation.
"Fletcher, he got out of the caves, that's a happy ending for the first task" yeah, that. And...Quidditch, last year, Hufflepuff won, that was a happy ending.

Perspective? Right. Okay. All ears.
"True." And that was all Ellie could say. He won. DARN.
She thought she had SUCH a good argument, too.
"Why doesn't it say 'end' then? Death is GORY." Surely he'd agree with that, right?

This wasn't about winning, it was about understanding.
Treyen shook his head again, "No, Ellie, because 'Death' has different meanings, it only depends on how you interpret it" there was a little nod to his precious golden-brown head, "It can even mean life" it just depends.
Regeneration, even. Not necessarily death. Sadness, maybe? Maybe that's what endings do to Ellie, make her sad.

Keefer frantically scribbled down the notes. I have to finish before Peeves decides to erase the board or something. Must... write... faster!
He looked up to see the next thing on the list and saw instead the poltergeist, floating behind Reynolds, wearing Reynolds's glasses. He couldn't help it. He burst out laughing.
"Hahaha!"
He clapped his hand over his mouth in terror. What would Reynolds think?
"Sorry, Sir, it's just so funny. I wasn't trying to poke fun at you, honest."
The last thing Hufflepuff needed was to lose points from a flustered and annoyed Professor.

Whattt?
"But they're opposites!" Oh MERLIN! This was going to be so confusing. Why did she pick this lesson to actually CARE about the subject?!
Ellie glanced at Reynolds for some support. Treyen was going crazy, wasn't he?

After she finished copying the notes she looked at Professor but that was bad move. Definitely bad move. She saw Peeves floated behind Professor Reynolds and making silly faces. She tried so hard to hide her laugh but she couldn't help it. The silly faces that Peeves made was so hilarious."I'm so sorry Professor Reynolds I didn't mean to laugh at you but..but.." she said tried to hide her laughed and pointed her finger to Professor Reynolds back where Peeves was.
EEP! The students were going to get him CAUGHT! Bad ickle students! It was so much more fun pranking when the prankee had no idea you were there!
With an evil grin, he stuck his tongue out and made his ears wiggle at the students before disappearing before Professor Four Eyes turned around. Unfortunately, the glasses didn't go invisible with him...but he WANTED it to be that way. HEHEHE! Then they'd know he was still there!
He floated away to the far corner of the ceiling, bouncing around and giving off a rather odd picture of glasses bobbing in midair.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA," Fletcher burst out into a loud, long chuckle. He quickly clapped a hand over his mouth, though he was silently chuckling at the ghost. Pooooooor Professor Reynolds.
Now would be a good time for the Baron to pop up. Heheh.

Fletcher managed to pull his hand away from his mouth for one moment, cuz duh he had to brag on surviving the first task.
"Cheyea that was a happy ending," he agreed, puffing out his chest proudly. He eyed Peeves again and let out a tiny, uncontrollable snort. "Though I doubt PEEVES will have a happy ending with those glasses there...."

Eh? what? We wuz wrong about Cart-O-Mancy? B-b-but... oh BOO! Salander huffed as he slouched in his seat. He gestured with Fletcher that what they said was in the book, even if Salander had never cracked it open since the first class. He started to zone out as the discussion went on....
... until Peeves happened.
Salander glanced up at the amusing Poltergeist. It was the first time he ever laid eyes on one, and wouldnt even know what it was until the other students started calling out to him. He missed grabbing any of the showering cards but he started to chortle uncontrollably when Peeves started making fun of the poor Divination Professor behind his back. He looked up at the now floating glasses and whispered mischievously when it chanced to bob near him "Try not to make a mark on them lenses. A four-eyes really dont like getting those all smudged up." Did he just give an idea to the misfit? Oops.

Jenny sighed as she looked at the floating pair of glasses on the ceiling. She really wanted to laugh but...no can do, the Professor seemed to be in a mad mood already. Quickly she turned back to her notes, secretly thinking about how this was the best Divination class so far.

Though, he did feel sorry for the poor professor who had tried to cover up the fact he wears glasses by wearing contacts. But, Peeves did let out a chuckle from the class now and then. And it was an entertaining break from work ... even it it did mean making fun of others. O___o

Kurumi covered her mouth more as the ghost vanished, but the glasses were still floating in the air. She looked over at the professor, who really did not seem to be happy about the ghost being in the classroom, decided to try something out. Keeping her wand under the table she whispered "Wingardium Leviosa."
Maybe what she learned in Charms would come in handy?

Kale copied down on his piece of paper. He was looking foward to doing this cards with the future. Kale was doing his best to ignored Peeves.....he really was annoying creature but Kale didn't give him the time a day hoping that if he ignored him hew would simple just go away! Kale looked to the professor for further instruction on what to do next for class.
Evan had almost drifted off to sleep even though he'd had his sleep quite well--divination had this effect on him, he had to fake out that he was sick at the second grade, then he avoided the class as much as he could--when Peeves burst in. Wow, he hadn't seen him since... third year? Watching him intently, he couldn't help but laugh LOUDLY at his jokes. Maan, he missed him! Eyes on the poltergeist, he tried to write down the notes the professor had told them to copy, but it all was a difficult task, for he also tried to watch Peeves. He managed to write it at last, with his neck hurting a little at the end as he had to look up at Peeves, and then look down to write down. Still, he didn't mind the pain because he laughed LOUDLY again as glasses hovered in the air.

Luna carefully wrote the list onto her parchment in her best writing. She had begun to like Divination this term if not love it. Cartmancy? Sounds interesting. Luna, like any Ravenclaw loved to learn.
