Hopefully they understood that the notes would be VERY important.

Nolan let out a hearty laugh. "I'm sure it was discovered in the pyramids, since I'm fairly certain that most artifacts were discovered there...even though I can't say that for sure, since I'm no historian," he said with a chuckle. "I'm sure the book was not found with a mummy though. They probably held onto their gold necklaces and such instead," he told him.

"One thing that people need to be careful of when interpreting dreams is a false awakening. Can anyone tell me what that is?" he asked them. It was very important they knew what it was before interpreting dreams of their own!

Joshua nodded his head seriously, acting like his Mummy had told him and trying to look like a grown up. So it probably was discovered in the pyramids. Awesome. The pyramids were amaaazing. And giant! HUUUUGE. But pretty cool. Joshua wanted to go see them, but his Mum was scared he would run away and get lost in them.

He was probably right.

"You can't blame them for holding on to the gold! Books don't put food in their stomachs."
He wisely said, patting his stomach for added effect. Nevermind that they'd probably be dead when clinging to the gold anyway. Pfft.

Now ... a false awakening?

Joshua thought it over for a bit before waving his arm in the air again. He was small! He needed to get the Professor's attention! "That's when people are dreaming that they are asleep, right? And then they wake up in their dream! They think they're awake, but really, they're sleeping and DREAMING they're awake! .... right?" Totally!

Roselyn 09-08-2010 09:49 PM

Now finally back in the swing of things, Evelyn slumped in her seat and waited for everyone to continue to finish answering before actually writing down what was being said. Hehe, yea, she was being extra lazy this class. One of these days, she was going to see if she could get a first year to write notes for her.

Like right now would have been nice too, but eh, she might as well raise her own hand. "False awakening..." was..something. "It's when someone dreams that they wake up, but, they aren't really awake because they're still dreaming. It's a uh...common thing that they might dream they did stuff in real life, like all their daily rituals such as cooking and cleaning since everything seems so real, but it didn't really happen since it was all in a dream. Like, a dream within a dream. So when they really do wake up...it's just, confusing."

Really, really confusing. Like her whole explanation. Maybe she'll get a firstie to answer for her one of these days too. Get a Ravenclaw firstie. They're supposed to be really smart, right?

Jenny continued scribbling down some more notes as the Professor asked his next question. Hm...false awakening...she remembered her mother talking about one of those once. But what's the definition?! Instantly something came to her head again.

"Um..." Jenny paused again before continuing. "I think a false awakening is when you're dreaming that you're still awake. In fact, you feel so awake in your dream that you don't know that you're actually dreaming still, you feel that everything is real around you, and you can remember all the details in your dream vividly."

Not bad for a Divination class. Jenny was starting to get the hang of the subject now.

XxWitchy_GothicaXx 09-08-2010 09:51 PM

Vilhelmiina raised her hand to answer. "A false awakening is a very realistic dream about waking up and performing you're daily tasks, like showering and cooking."

Magical Soul 09-08-2010 09:55 PM

Louisa was writing down fast what the Professor had written and what the answers were. Hmmm. This subject was interesting enough for her to not fall asleep or to stay absent minded. That's a first so far.

False awakening? She's read about this somewhere. She tried to gather some of her thoughts and raised her hand, "Sir, I think that when a person believes he's not in a dream anymore, but in reality." She bit her lower lip; Yuck! That was much more complicated in the book but it was something like that anyway.

Hmmm, she raised her hand, attempting every question.
"Is a false awakening, when people dream that they have already woken up from sleep?" She said it exactly how it sounded to her. Awaking.. falsely. Mhm. "So, people would dream about doing their usual daily routine, even though it is still actually a dream." She added with a thoughtful expression.

Zoom 09-08-2010 09:56 PM

Leilani raised her hand. "False awakening is when you think you've waken up, even though you haven't. It commonly happens during lucid dreaming." Yup, it hadn't happened to her yet, but it might someday. It sounded like fun.

She fidgeted in her seat, just a teeny bit. She was nervous. Duh. Classes had only just started. And even though she'd taken them before, she was nervous. Don't ask me why.

That seems simple enough, Em thought. She raised her and and said, "Isn't it when you Have a dream where you wake up, but you are actually still sleeping?"

Saz Hale 09-08-2010 10:00 PM

Arabella-Marie thought about the question and raised her hand and said "Sir is it like someone wakens up and they think that they are still dreaming cause they see things in there dreams in everyday life" Arabella-Marie didn't know if that was right but it was worth a go anyway seeing as she was willing to get more points for Gryffindor

Mugglemad 09-08-2010 10:04 PM

She raised her hand and said "Is it like seeing dead relatives in your dreams?" she wanted to get some points for Ravenclaw and notes for her O.W.L. exams.

LouLou Malfoy 09-08-2010 10:06 PM

Ever-Lily stopped taking notes, and raised her hand confidently.

"Isn't that where...uh...where you've woken up inside your dream, but the dream continues, sir?"

darlinggcdr13 09-08-2010 10:07 PM

Delilah raised her hand. "Waking up in the dream and believeing it is reality?" She asked. She kinda questioned it herself but she was pretty sure it was right.

sweetpinkpixie 09-08-2010 10:10 PM

Kurumi was busy writing notes as fast as she possibly could. While she did not know anything about Divination in terms of its relation to magic, she felt a sense of relief that what the professor was talking about was at least distantly related to some of the Shinto rituals and customs she had come to know growing up in Japan.

Oh! She thought she knew this one. She quickly wrote a few notes relating to the ancient Egyptian pharaoh Ramses. She wondered if this book was connected to the Bible stories in which Joseph interpreted dreams for the Pharaoh. Did witches and wizards know about this type of stuff. It seemed reliant so she thought she would ask. She raised her hand - she certainly was feeling more confident...but probably should make her answer more with sounding. "Professor, does this dream book have any connection to the muggle Bible stories where a man name Joseph interprets dreams for the Pharaoh and others?"

Kurumi wasn't 100% sure what a false awakening was, but just thinking about the meaning of the words themselves, she was pretty sure that she had experienced. She decided to raise her hand and give it a try. "Professor, I think that a false awaking is a dream within a dream and that dream within a dream is one in which you dream that you are awake. I can remember a time when I swore that I had woken up, and I went about my usual morning routine of taking a shower, brushing my hair and teeth, eating breakfast, but then suddenly waking up again to find myself still in bed." She hoped that that was a satisfactory answer.

Adam woke up suddenly, he must have been dozing off sense none of this really was connecting to him. Should he ask a question now or later once class was over and everyone filed out.He raised his hand, ready to ask how a false awakening happens...He sure hoped that hadn't been discussed as he dozed off, or else points might be taken away.

Amy raised her hand "isn't that where you have a vivid dream of waking up and only to wake and realize it was a dream?" she knew that she most likely got this one right

iBeJenn 09-08-2010 10:19 PM

False awakening... she knew what that is, well, at least she was pretty sure she knew what it was. Selena raised her hand. "A false awakening is when you are dreaming, but in the dream you think you wake up and in the dream you also do things that seem to be normal," she said. Ehhh. It didn't really make sense, perhaps other people said it better? Bleh. At least she had an idea of what it was... hehehe.

MeredithRodneyMckay 09-08-2010 10:23 PM

A false awakening?

Hmm. Sarah had had a few of those, if what everyone was saying was right. And it was certainly a strange feeling. She would have put her hand up to answer, but so many people had already that she felt it best to just listen and take notes.

Jason Potter Weasley 09-08-2010 10:28 PM

A false awakening is something you believed in was right, but in the long riun, you should have seen the real truth.

It was like... what was it called? Dayja voo? This had just happened to Keefer this morning.

Both hands in the air yet again, Keefer said "Sir, that happened to me this morning! I was dreaming something, and then I woke up and went to breakfast in the Great Hall. Except I woke up five minutes later! So the first time, I hadn't actually woken up, I just dreamt that I did. But it felt so real!!!!"

He still had trouble believing that he hadn't actually eaten blueberry ice cream for breakfast before classes.

Destiny 09-08-2010 10:34 PM

Having been in class the WHOLE time, Destiny was only listening to the discussion about dreams. She felt she didn't have to add to the discussion, at least not until the last question was asked. A false awakening, yeah, she had some of them, so she knew what it was.

She raised her hand, "It's when you think someone is waking you up, but they really aren't. Like, once, I thought my Grandmum was trying to wake me up, but she was only yelling at the sheep to get out of the trash."

Funny thing was, her Grandmum was the one in the trash..

Meh.

brelovesweasleys 09-08-2010 11:03 PM

Hehe, maybe Rae was becoming popular? Nah just a thought. Evelyn and Fletcher BOTH sat near her, which definitely boosted her self esteem bit. Dream interpretations? Oh no.. Rae did not want to express her dreams aloud. All her dreams were about two things mainly. Two things that Rae was perfectly comfortable with keeping in her own mind. She decided that she would just listen to everyone else's answers.. You know since they provided all the work for her. Then when it got the the activity part, that's where she could really excel in this class. You didn't even need brains to pass this one right? No, just a few made up shapes that drew together some elaborate interpretation of the future. That's why Rae loved this class so much, she could feel smart without actually being smart. Woohoo!

Pam raised her hand. "Isn't that when you think your awake inside a dream, yet you're not really awake?"

AlwaysSnapesGirl 09-09-2010 01:00 AM

This class...well, it definitely wasn't one of Vashti's best, and certainly one of the ones she hadn't read about ever. So almost everything that was being said was flying way over her head. The only thing she might've been able to answer was the Egyptian book thing, but she'd been so focused in trying to figure out how to spell the official term for this dream-intrepreting thing that she'd missed the chance to answer. Man, why did these things have to be so hard to spell? Oi vey. Finally she resorted to scribbling some random spelling down and took notes on the other questions being asked and answered. She'd check it in the textbook later.

HOPEendures 09-09-2010 01:07 AM

"Isn't a false awakening a really vivid dream where you think you're awake and everything feels real," Daisy said raising her hand.

PadfootAndTheWolf 09-09-2010 01:08 AM

Riley sat up straighter in his desk as the Professor had announced that himeslf and the others who had answered correctly were recieving points! His first ones at his new school! *gaspeth*

He sure liked the sound of that, and he knew from then on that he was sure to be gaining more! He listened as Nolan went on about how the Egyptians used them and scribbled the notes which he was sure the Professor was doing. He then said something about a false awakening. "Professor thats when you are dreaming and then you think you wake up but you really haven't, that would be problematic if you were trying to record your dreams. It would cloud your memory of what happened in the dream and what happened when you think you woke up, correct?" he was definately taking an interest in the strangeness this subject had to hold.

PattyH. 09-09-2010 01:18 AM

Patroclus was gutted he had missed out on answering the ancient Egypt question, it was after all what his father did for a living.

However he knew the answer to the next question so he could answer that one, "False Awakening is what one can experience when they are dreaming, within a dream. The wake up from the Dream- Dream, and experience what they think is reality in the the real Dream." Dreams within dreams, Patroclus could see this train of thought getting rather confusing.

The1HBIC 09-09-2010 01:33 AM

False awakening... Well that's a no-brainer Marie thought as she listened to everyone's answers. "It's when you have a dream that is so real that when you wake up you feel as if the events actually happened." Dreaming that you are dreaming or something like that.

Erindipity 09-09-2010 01:35 AM

Lexi listened closely to Professor Reynolds and took notes. She was not great at Divination so she didn't even attempt to answer anything. She just stared at Finn and grinned every once and a while. Yeah, that was best.

Zellanna 09-09-2010 01:41 AM

Lina listened quietly at ideas about false awakenings. If they were what she thought she was, she had that sort of thing often. "Like lucid dreaming..." she muttered softly. "Only it sounds like the other way around. If it's thinking you've woken, and you haven't... Something like that can happen over and over and over again because your body refuses to awaken and it can be worse than actually waking up so many times over the night. Though it's speculated that you can focus on an object that if you see it in your dreams then it tells you that you are still dreaming."

Hermione J. Granger 09-09-2010 01:42 AM

Hermione was writing down the meanings of False Awakening. It seemed simple enough she thought and since everyone seemed to be saying the same definition she thought it would be best to wait for the professor to explain it.

Witsy thought about this next question carefully in hopes that not only would the professor answer it but also be able to mention some “cure” you might say. False Awakening, hmm. She thought. Reluctantly raising her hand she answered, “I do believe that false awakenings are when you’re led to believe you have woken up, but in fact you’re still dreaming. Almost like a dream within a dream?" Witsy, not even close to reaching the floor with her feet, swayed her legs therapeutically waiting for the correct answer.

"Hmmm. It could possibly have some connection. While I myself am no historian, I do know that certain stories appear in many different cultures. For example, the Cinderella story can be traced back to numerous places across Europe and even into Asia. So it is possible that the story you're referring too could have some basis in the actual book, but you'd have to ask your History of Magic professor more about that," he told her with a smile.

As Nolan listened to the students provide answers to the question, he noticed a slumbering Gryffindor in the corner. Oh heck no. First sleepy student of the term!

As they rattled off answers, Nolan kept his ears open, but GLARED at the student. As in a 'Don't sleep in my class' glare.

She fidgeted in her seat, just a teeny bit. She was nervous. Duh. Classes had only just started. And even though she'd taken them before, she was nervous. Don't ask me why.

The wake up from the Dream- Dream, and experience what they think is reality in the the real Dream." Dreams within dreams, Patroclus could see this train of thought getting rather confusing.

Something like that can happen over and over and over again because your body refuses to awaken and it can be worse than actually waking up so many times over the night. "Yes, all good answers!" he said with a grin. They were all super smart. "A false awakening is where you wake up in the dream, but you don't actually physically wake up. So you dream yourself wandering around and doing certain things, only to wake up and find you were still dreaming. It can be confusing to say the least. For example, during my days as a student here, I once dreamt that I had done all my Charms homework 2 weeks in advance. When the date came for the homework to be turned in, I argued for half an hour with my professor, insisting that I'd turned it in earlier, only to find that I was wrong and it had all been a dream. So, when recording your dreams, be sure you're certain that you're recording the correct version of the dream!"

Jenny looked down on her parchment. Gosh...she never keeps track of her dreams very often. The next morning they would all disappear. She tried to remember one dream that she could remember very well when she was a little kid. She began writing down on her parchment.

"One day, my father came up with a new sushi recipe to make for his shop." Jenny stopped and nodded to herself. She dipped her quill in her ink before continuing. "He asked me to try it, and so I did; however, it didn't taste right for some reason. It tasted like rotten milk and sour apples. I asked my dad what he put in the filling. My father hesitated before turning to me and said, 'I couldn't find any good fish for today. Would you mind getting some for me?' He looked especially worried; I disregarded that since I knew he had no choice but to ask me since my mother and brother weren't home. 'Will do, father!' I told him before I rushed out of the house with my fishing pole and basket. It was raining very heavily for some reason. Since the shore wasn't that far, it only took me 5 minutes to reach the now dangerous waves. I threw the line as far as I could, catching a few fish when I heard a low growl. After looking around, I noticed that there was a big monster right in front of me in the water. It had tentacles -- it could have been a giant octopus or something. With angry eyes, it tried to reach for me and I had to run as fast as I could. I barely got off the dock when a tentacle grabbed my ankle. It kept dragging me towards the water and opened its wide mouth..."

Jenny finally put her quill down. She had abruptly woke up at that part of the dream so she never got to find out what happened. That seems to be good enough right?

Danika Malik 09-09-2010 05:22 AM

Right. Well. Danika wasn't going to share her thoughts about dreams in class. Even if there were certain dreams that could be worth sharing.

But no.

Her dreams. No, thank you. She'd rather sit and listen how the whole class goes.

brelovesweasleys 09-09-2010 05:30 AM

Ugh, just what she didn't want to do, they were doing... Rae figured that the Professor wouldn't really read every single one and if he did he wouldn't care, so she obliged to the activity at hand. She got out a quill, and a piece of parchment, then began writing

Quote:

Unlike any normal teenager or person for that matter, my dreams are not wild, they aren't crazy, they aren't weird. At least not to me. The most recent dream that I can remember happens to be a dream I have almost every night, sometimes there's little changes, but all in all, it seems to be the same dream. Which truthfully keeps me up at night, the dream prevents me from sleep because I don't want to be reminded.

In my most recent dream I was in the house my father gave me, it wasn't broken, it wasn't dirty, it wasn't old. My father, Raziel, was still alive, and he was with me. I was little, about 7 or so. I'm always smiling or laughing and so is he, were just spending time together. Neither of us know what little time we have left. He read me stories and chased me in the valley in front of the house. He would watch me play while he continued to write his novels. Maybe these dreams are memories, but they are what keep me awake but what I still yearn for when I sleep.

This looked too personal, but Rae had nothing else to write. Professor better be grateful she likes this class, because this was a secret she was spilling, all for the sake of class.. Which didn't sound like Rae at all.

Oh. She'd been right. Coolio then.

Hmm.. a dream. Well she had recurring dreams. But.. she was NOT sharing that. Ever. Or at least.. not to the rest of her classmates. Hmph.

Zellanna 09-09-2010 05:40 AM

Millie looked at her parchment warily. She really didn't want to write about her dreams. They were filled with memories she didn't have, strange beasts falling from the sky, and theorems that she hadn't known prior to dreaming them. None of her dreams were ever pleasant. The best they could be was mundane, and those were a blessing in and of themselves.

With a shaky hand, she put quill to parchment, and began writing the least of her dreams...

Quote:

Standing out on a cliffside, the entire world is dry. A lifeless city is a sea before me, reaching out to the sky, but I'm above all of them. The sky is dry as well, made of caked dirt that stretches out endlessly to the horizon. I wish I was underground, but I'm not. This is just how the world is. And everything is a dusty red.

The sky begins to crumble and break. Large chunks of the sky form into dark figures... black dragons which stretch and claw their ways out as though being born from the sky, and the sky bleeds in response. As the sky falls away into blood and dragons, there is nothing but an inky black and empty abyss, stretching out into forever.
She sighed and set her quill aside, still shaking. We would see what could be derived from it. Or maybe she would be told to choose a different dream.

ooc: Real dream. I was freaked for the entire day.

Ivy Nienna 09-09-2010 05:58 AM

Ivory who had been taking careful notes in her purple divination-designated journal all this time looked up to eye the Professor. She'd been just in the middle of remembering the last time she'd had a false awakening...unfortunatly it had caused her to think she'd gotten out of bed and gotten ready for class only to find out she was still asleep and veeery late as it was when she'd heard their class assignment.

A dream. The weirder the better?? But.

When it came to night time Ivory had many default dreams. Ones that were happy and full of light and other not so happy ones with forests, arenas, blood and a dark man controlling her every move. With a shudder, she mentally hid all those thoughts in a strong leather bound chest and visualized closing the clasps on it. No now was not a time to investigate her demons after all- it had been a while since she'd had a nightmare and he was talking about a recent dream right?

Taking her own interpretation of the assignment, Ivory nevertheless put her peacock quill to paper and jotted down the weirdest dream she'd had in the past few months. Weird only as in unexplainable.

Lockhartian 09-09-2010 06:47 AM

Think. Think. Think.

A recent dream. Well, he could only think of one. But was it considered a dream?

Either way, he wrote down quickly what his dream was about, but decided to share this thoughts with the Professor, yes, he didn't mind if the class heard it or not, "Professor" he started, the first thing was to get his attention, "What if the dream sort of looks like something you've already experienced?" he asked, his hand was still in the air...and now not so much.

"For instance, I keep on dreaming..." well, not really, only like three times the past month, "...that I'm flying on my broomstick and hit a tree..." yes, he continued, "...which in reality it happened, when I was three, and my father came over to help while my sister laughed beside me" that's what happened in reality, "In my dreams, however, I'm no longer the three year old boy, " no, he was now the thirteen year old boy, "My sister and my father keep their same age, but the one that comes to help is a golden-haired relative" yes, his great-great-great-uncle, the G dude, "It still counts as a dream, right? Even if it resembles a real life experience, correct?" it probably was, but then what did the dream mean?

" Well, I dreamed I was Elvis Presley" Rex told the proessor. " Now the funny part of this is I do not really know how to sing. " Rex said to Mr. Reynolds.
" I had hid jumpsuit, his kind of long hair, his good looks and apparently all these girls. "I seem to be doing a concert in Las Vegss, Nevada in the USA" Rex explained to Professor Reynolds. Ella smiled when she got the question right. She was on a roll with these answers today, heh. Oooh, they were gonna interpret their own dreams? Coool.

She almost stuck the end of her Quill in her mouth as she thought about it. But she managed to stop herself before that happened. It was hard trying to remember dreams. Even if they were really awesome, they just disappeared from memory by the morning. It was usually nightmares that stayed with you... right? Once she thought she had something, she pressed her Quill to her parchment and wrote it down, because she didn't particulary want to say it out loud in front of the class.
Dreams were so individualy weird.

Cass had kept quiet for the duration of the class, but now they had to do something. So she sat up straight, and brought out her rolls of parchment, one of her Hippogriff quills, and a pot of black ink from her bag.

One of her dreams? Hmm...this was hard. She rarely remembered her dreams...she thought for a while and then she sat up excitedly. She remembered what she dreamed of this morning!

She bent down low towards her parchment and started writing.

Quote:

I was standing at a plain. The horizon stretched out until forever and no trees or mountains stood at the side. "What was going on?" I heard my self say. I reached for my wand tucked inside my sleeve inside my silver, leather holster. I sighed in relief when I felt the wooden object was still there. Then I looked down on the ground and noticed a broom. I held out my hand to it and said in a firm voice "UP." The broom flew up to my hand and I grasped it tightly. Then I mounted it and kicked off the ground hard. I was flying! I looked down and saw a peculiar sight at the ground. Everyone I knew was huddled before a black, stone tomb. "Who died?" I asked myself. I tried to check it out, but I couldn't see. All I could see were a lot of blonde heads, probably my family and some of my friends, and a whole lot of green and black robes. I lowered the broom to the site and was horrified. The person on the tomb was me. My small, pale body was on an emerald green sheet. my long blonde hair was swept to the side. "I'm not dead! I'm over here!!" I called out to everyone. but they just ignored me, as if they couldn't hear me. Then I looked at the grave again and saw the my owm aquamarine eyes were open. Then the dead me smiled up at me and said "Join me Cass." I stared at her horrified "No! I'm not dead!!" The pale hand reached for me and I felt the darkness close over me. Then I woke up.
Cass stared at the words at the paper. This wasn't a dream. This was a nightmare...but its the only one that she remembers. So with a resigned sigh, she rolled up the remainder of her parchment and leaned back her chair as she watched her other classmates work.

Kurumi passed her notes to Adam to get him caught up on where they were. She made a mental note to herself that she would nudge him...or perhaps even kick him, if he started falling asleep again. She pointed to the board where the Professor had written their current task of recording a dream. She scratched her head with her quill trying to think of a dream that seemed suitable for what the Professor was looking for. Had she had any weird dreams recently?

She remembered a dream in which everything was pink...as though she were seeing the world through pink lensed glasses. She figured that that was probably the best dream to work with and she began writing on some parchment.
Quote:

I once dreamed that everything was a shade of pink. I was playing with my brothers by the stream, but the stream was made from flower petals instead of water....
She paused...what else had happened in that dream? She couldn't remembered, so she decided to start with a different one instead. There was one that had stuck pretty vividly in her mind...

Quote:

I once dreamed that I was practicing kendo with my oldest brother out in a great wide field. It was night, but the field was glowing a golden color. Suddenly, thousands of fireflies appeared lighting the sky with their greenish-yellowish glow. Suddenly, there was a very strong wind and I ran to my brother but, right as I was about to reach him, he turned into a statue made from cherry blossoms and blew away with the wind...
She put her quill down and looked up at the professor. Yeah...they were probably going to have a field day tell her what this one meant.

"Good morning, Professor," she smiled at her teacher and looked around for an empty desk. She was feeling cheerful and hopeful, sure that this day would be better than the previous night, and...

Or not. Carin's eyes narrowed as she recognized Enya's arrogant posture sitting by herself. Part of her wanted to approach her, sit next to her even if only to spite her housemate, but the part that still remembered her conversation with Professor Kingsley forced her to look away and take an empty seat at the opposite end of the classroom.

How could she have forgotten they'd have most of their classes together? They were in the same house, and year! It seemed like Carin's temper and self-control really would be put to the test this year.

Enya had noticed Carin walk into the room, and she gave the girl a particually nice smirk and wave when she noticed Carin had seen her. HA. She was going to enjoy annoying that girl this year. She giggled. After that Enya shut off, she had opened her textbook but never took a word in. She was thinking about ways of getting back at Carin. It was Carin's fault after all for her getting detention. GAH! She'd get her back!

But she came back to the present when she heard to Professor tell all about a dream she had recently had. Ha. This was going to be good. She'd make it up, yeah she would. Hmm but what? Then she got it!

Enya opened her mouth to say what had come to mind, but didn't. Seem's she didn't have the answer.

lol this is a variation of the dream I had last night xD

Leilani thought back to one of the dreams she'd had recently. It had deffinitely been... Odd. She was running through a park, hiding from people on her way home. But when she got home, her father wasn't there. He'd left a note saying he needed to go to the hospital because there was glass in his eyes. So she ran off to find him, but she couldn't and instead wound up in this run down old shack.

That was all she remembered really. But yes, it had been strange.

She finished taking notes on what the Proffesor had to say before gently setting her note book down on the table. Hmm, they weren't sharing their dreams were they? Because if the were she'd certainly be getting some strange looks

Jack was never particularly good at remembering dreams, so this was certainly a challege. Much more than an exam where you have actually revised stuff you had to write about. This was, trying to remember something that never happened, like a memory that has just dropped out of your mind the minute you opened your eyes. But still, Jack dipped the nib of his quill into some ink and began writing absolute nonsense.

"So, I've been chased in my dreams a lot before, by zombies. I think I saw them on a poster once in the muggle community I live near, they kind of look like inferius but with a bit more gore. Yeah, all my friends get ripped to pieces and get eaten, and I just keep running. Running really slowly mind you, I never seem to speed up, but they never see to catch me, so I guess that's alright. I never die, because before I do die, I wake up. So ... I don't see that as dying in my eyes."

Lucy cleared her throat and began, "Professor, it had always been my dream to have a world tour with my friends and family i love to travel a lot. So this is what i went to bed thinking, to go on a world tour. In my dream i went to places all over the world enjoying myself with my family and friends, eating various dishes that were absolutely delicious and i couldn't stop myself from eating them. Sophia pulled out her quill and began to write.

Quote:

I have lots of dreams where I am falling or flying. I think the dreams where I am falling means that I did something wrong that day, or I failed at something. That would cause me to fall.

But the dreams where I was flying means that something really good happened that day, or I was very sucessful that day.
Sophia put down her quill and waited for everyone to finish writing.

Think, Rubiey, Think!!!

She bit her lip as she tried to remember her dreams. She neverrr remembered her dreams. Gah, idiot. After about 5 minutes she remember one froma few nights ago, before she got on the Hogwarts Express.

SPOILER!!: Rubieys Dream
Rubiey was standing in Kings Cross Station, looking at the barrier between Platform 9 and Platform 10. Everyone was flooding through it, and not coming out the other side, or crashing, so she guessed that this was where the magical people went to get the train to Hogwarts. She ran at the barrier.

CRAAAAASH.

Rubiey, her trunk, and her owl cage came crashing to the floor. Looking up, everyone was staring at her from above her, with long, black pointy hats on.

Wizards.

Everyone began to laugh at her. "Muggle!" "She's not magical, she's just a freak!" Rubiey stood up, shaking. Then she saw someone familiar in the disance.

"Dad!" She cried, then ran at him. When she got to him, he evaporated into smoke. She spun around, and everyone was gone. She was all alone.

Rubiey put her quill down, and sighed. That, was a baaaad dream.

Witsy snagged a piece of parchment from her book. Tapping the quill she thought would help her jog her memory of any dreams worth telling. Hmm, there was this one time... she began to write.

There was this pit in the shape of a funnel-shaped whole and at the bottom was this pit of fire. I looked to the skies and it was a dark shade of blue and suddenly I heard someone several yards away yell, “CLIMB! CLIMB AS FAST AS YOU CAN.” Clenching to the sand and pulling myself farther I finally reached the top. The skies and everything around me turned to a darker shade of black and blue. I looked around and there were like cities of stones. I heard some people in the distance and I ran to join them. They were all coming up with a way to get out of here. I started to speak realizing that no one was hearing me. I started to scream and one person looked in my direction.

I saw tears come to his eyes speaking softly he said, “We can hear you, but we can’t see you. Stay with us and talk every so often and we’ll stick together, okay?”

I was in shock. I looked at my hands and pulled on my shirt and everything felt real. The boy sensed a silence with me and spoke again, “Umm… you didn’t quite… make it out of the fire.” He paused for a second. “I tried to grab you but it was… too late, I’m so sorry.” He looked to the skies and motioned for us to go.

We all followed and a room of chairs came to the picture. There were 6, all were filled except for one on the end. The boy, as if he could still see me, was looking straight into my eyes- simultaneously putting his hand on the chair for me to sit. I walked over to the chair and sat.

At that point I woke up.

Witsy, dropped her quill and pondered her dream for a while. She wondered what this was gonna lead to.

WillowSeawinds 09-09-2010 12:40 PM

A dream, Rowan thought to herself. This was going to be tough. She never remembered her dreams once she was awake. She pulled out a new piece of parchment trying to think of a dream. She finally thought of one but couldn't really remember the details. Oh well, she sighed. I guess it will have to do.

"I have one re-occuring dream about a black panther. We are not always in the same place. The one that I can remember the most clearly, we were on top of a hill that had only one tree at its center. I was sitting with my back against the tree, the panther laying beside me. The odd thing about these dreams is that the cat talks and feels like a life-long friend, like when you meet someone for the first time but feel instantly like you know them well. Any way, in these dreams we always have lengthy conversations with each other, but I can never remember anything that is said."

Rowan put down her quill. I guess that will have to do, she thought, disappointed that she couldn't give more details about her dreams.

Hugo had been thinking about a dream, but he couldn't think of anything good, and his time was almost up. He thought, untill he didn't have much of a choice anymore and just wrote something down

Text Cut: .
I was in a store, when a couple of death eaters came in. Then the dream ended.

It wasn't really anything good, and he sighed. He thought he would be better in classes.

Freya and her parents were in vacation in Italy. They decided to ride a muggle car. Her dad always wanted to try that thing. They were on a ride from a vineyard to their hotel. In the middle of the ride her father loss of steering control. Their car falls into ravine. Freya groaned. Slowly she opened her eyes and saw that their car was upside down. She realized that she was stuck, she tried to free herself. After few minutes trying she can release herself. She opened the front door where her father and mother seat. Alice smiled, happy that she actually got the answer right. She listened to Professor Reynolds give instructions and felt a shiver go down her back. Write about our strangest dream? Alice really didn't enjoy thinking about this dream, but the weirder the better right? Picking up her writing utensil she began to write her dream.

SPOILER!!: alice's dream
In the dream she was standing in the middle of a clearing, the woods nothing but darkness around her. She was standing in the middle of the circle, waiting for whatever was watching her to come out. It had wanted her there for some reason but she had no idea why. The longer she stood there the colder she seemed to get, and after about five minutes she would look down and see a small snake looking up at her, before turning to point towards the clearing. Although frightened she would start to walk towards the end of the woods, stopping just before line where it went from grass to woods. She waited until she heard her mother's voice call out in a cry for help, and Alice would start to run towards the noise, but wouldn't be able to, the snake holding her in her place. When she would plead with it it would merely shake it's head.

This would be fun. Dianna got to work right away. She almost always had dreams and so it wasn't hard for her to write down some of the weird and creepy ones.

SPOILER!!: The Dream

She was in the quidditch pitch, all alone. It was raining hard yet she was determined to chase the snitch flying around in the dark sky. She was reaching, as far as she can. Closer. Closer. Suddenly she stalled in the air and lightning hit her from the sky. She was now falling. Faster and faster she went and surely this would end in an impact so hard that she won't even remember her own name. Just when she was and inch from the ground..

Dianna stopped writing trying to remember what had happened after but she couldn't. This was how her dream ended. This was all she remembered before waking up with sweat on her forehead and and inch from falling down her bed.

iBeJenn 09-09-2010 02:13 PM

Dream... hmm... what was that one again...? Selena thought about it, thinking was a lot of work sometimes. She sighed and the started to scribble something.

SPOILER!!: Selena's Dream

I open the door at home quietly. There's seemingly nothing wrong and I've just come back from walking around the grounds. The sky was darkening and all but the first thing I see is a staircase. So I start walking up, but there's this feeling that something's behind me. It makes me feel a bit scared and I keep running, running up the stairs as it goes around and around. But it never stops, it keeps going and there's a window at the top. I keep trying to get to it so maybe I could leave, hide, something. But I don't because the stairs never end and, afraid, I don't want to look back. Because if I look back, I might fall and whatever it is, it'll catch up and I won't know what to do next. I wonder where everyone is though, why no one is around, then I remember, no one's ever at home but me. That's when I fall and...

Selena couldn't remember the rest. She had woken up and freaked out then had chocolate therapy. Mmm... maybe some dreams were best forgotten? She placed her quill down and bit her lip. Eeh... weird dream. She hoped she didn't have it again.

Kale had arrived...late as usual, he hoped that the professor wouldn't notice...he went in quiet as a mouse and sat a table that was already over crowed. He hoped he would be able to catch up on what was going on in class quickly. He was good at this subject...well at least he could see some things some of the time. He looked around and realized the were studying dream. Okay...that was easy..."I had a dream that I saw a gaint bird swoop down and pick me up with his talons and carried over the grounds." Kale wondered on on earth that could mean.

there were alot of kids pretending to be pirates and suddenly it was real there were pirate ships sailing througha giant store but ouside was space the stars were twinkling and asteroids were drifting by then her best friend's parents turned into pirates and tried to blow us up with their cannons

What a weird dream she had

Magical Soul 09-09-2010 02:40 PM

A dream! That wouldn't be hard, she almost had a nasty dream every night for two weeks. Not that the professor asked it to be nasty, but anyway.

Louisa started writing down her recent dream,
SPOILER!!: Louisa's dream
I was with my family on one of our vacations, at the seaside. Playing with my younger brothers while mom and dad prepared sandwiches. I couldn't hear voices or sounds in my dream, I was deaf and playing. Till a storm hit the place, the sky was so shaken and dark. My parents panicked and hugged my brothers, and when I wanted to run over to them the ground was shaking and eventually it split shoving me to the other side of my family.
I stood there seeing them calling me over, and I couldn't do anything but standing there and feeling torn apart.
The rain started to fall and I was icy cold and fell on my knees still watching my family calling over from the other side.

Louisa looked at the parchment. It did sound more like a nightmare, but she couldn't do anything about it. Shrug. She put down the quill and wait for the next move.

Lauralicious 09-09-2010 03:12 PM

Well... a recent dream..
Fee thought about that for a while.
But then something popped up in her head.
"Well, i had a picnic with my best friends at home. It was summer and we all were enjoying the food as suddenly some creature came out of nowhere and took my friends with it as hostage. I wanted to help them but i couldnt move."
Fee shudderd as she remembered her dream. It was terrible and she hoped that something like that would never happen.

alohomora♥ 09-09-2010 03:29 PM

Ok, one dream..think!
It was a very quite and peacful day and i was sitting in a park playing with my owl Sparke. There were kids running around with their parents and there was a boy coming near me and he said: ''Nice owl.'' and he disappear. I turned and i saw an empty cage. My little owl was GONE! Suddenly i woke up and realised it was a dream but i still checked if Sparkle is in her cage.

It was an awful dream for her. She couldn't stop thinking about her little owl Sparkle.

Hehe, any dream will do. Sarah had the sudden urge to start singing Joseph songs, but decided a sensible approach was a better idea. Would have been fun though.

Clearing her throat, she tapped the end of her Phoenix feather quill to her lips as she thought about any dreams she'd had recently. There was only one that really came to mind, and that's because it was freaky scary to her. Hmmm. "Yeah, lets go with that one."

I used a twig to brush it off, and it went scuttling back into the bushes. I didn't think anymore of it until I turned around and saw this huge hairy one on the grass at my feet. It rose up so some of it's legs were in the air, and it shot some more spiders towards me, which crawled all up my legs and onto the rest of me. I freaked and flailed and tried to flick them off me while screaming my head off....Then I woke up sweating.

It made her shudder just to remember it, and a chill went down her spine as she laid her quill to rest.

Any dream. Hmmmm. Thought back to the dream she just had. She pondered on it for a few minutes.

I was at my mums flower shop with Owen, my big brother. We were goofing off when we walked in. Mum was there and before I could say hello she disappered. I looked up at Owen and he was wide eyed like me. We walked farther into the shop. I went to the back of the building to see if anyone else was in there. No one was. I went back to the front and Owen was gone. I ran outside to see if he was there and everyone on the street was gone as well. I started to panic. Then I woke up.

It was certianly an odd dream. Lookin at it on paper, it seemed like a story.

Buggy-Boo 09-09-2010 04:02 PM

Kale looked around...and when no one spoke to him he realized that he should probally have written the dream down...rahter than just randomly say it out loud... and he needed a little more detail....so here he went with his quill and parchment.

I was sitting at the lake waiting for soemthing...unsure of what it was when suddenly a huge bird...and owl maybe? swooped down and picked me up with it large talons and carried me acrossed the grounds...where a I saw a group of teachers...maybe even every teachers in the school huddle just inside the forbben forest. I thought it was odd that they were meeting outside the school, they were all nervous whispering about something I couldn't understand....and then I woke up.

Kale looked down wondering if that was enough detail and trying to remember if there was anything he forgot.

Daniel didn't have dreams often and he pretty sure that his dream didn't have some big weird meaning. It was quite straightforward to him. But oh well. Daniel got out his quil and started writing

Quote:

I had a dream a couple of weeks ago. It happens a lot to me. I am walking in a park. I'm enjoying myself licking an ice creem. I see somthing move behind me. I look around and suddenly its night time. I glimpse something yellow in front of me. I run in that direction shouting "Stop! Please!"
I get to where the kiddie rides are. There are tears rolling down my eyes. I look up and I see my mother. She stands up there and Holds up a knife as if to kill herself. The last thing I see before I wake up is my mothers face looking at me full of sorrow.
Daniel shielded his dream. No one could see. And he hoped the professer didn't ask them to read it aloud. He would have picked a different dream but strangely Daniel wanted to know what his dream meant now. It disturbed him. Did it mean he would see his mother again?

As Nolan wandered around the room, he caught a student sneaking in the room out of the corner of his eye. He was sneaky about it too, and probably thought Nolan wouldn't notice. He had the eyes and ears of a HAWK! Or...so he liked to think. Either way, he noticed.

"Mister Kale, please try and arrive on time next lesson or it'll cost you points," he reminded him with a smile. He was going to remind him that he should write the dream down on his parchment as well, but the boy had already begun to do that, so he continued onward.

Nolan nodded. "That certainly does...reoccuring dreams are sometimes the best dreams to decipher, since your mind obviously keeps bringing it up for a reason," he explained. "When I was in school, I often had a dream that I forgot my summer homework assignments and was humiliated in front of class. EVERY year without fail, if I had an assignment, I'd have that dream." he added for an example.

Yes, he was well aware that a number of his dreams revolved around homework. He was a prefect, it was programmed into his brain to do well!

OOC: True story there man xD I've had that dream for like 6 years now haha

Ahh, there seemed to be some confusion over his instructions. "Those are all great examples to use for our exercise, but I'd like you all to please write them down on your parchment." he said. He had said that before, right? Hmmmm.

"Now, for those of you who are done....get with a partner and interpret your partner's dream. Take a look at reoccuring themes or symbols and tell your partner what you believe it might mean for their future or what you think the dream may reveal about their personality. I have copies of our symbol list up here if you forgot to bring your list from last term, so first years and transfer students, be sure you pick one up!" he said, tapping the stack of parchment with his index finger as he passed it. "I'll have a more complete list for you once we get into our big dream diary assignment, but for the simple sake of practicing, this should work just fine."

"If you haven't finished your dream, just continue writing until you're finished, and then trade with a partner. If you can't find a partner, come find me or raise your hand and I'll partner you up. Finally, ask any questions you may have if you're confused!" he added with a smile before clapping again to let them know they may continue.

A dream? Joshua's head titled to the head, as he tried to recall whatever he had dreamt of lately. HMMMM. All he could think about was ... well, that would have to do. Pulling a piece of parchment towards himself, he picked up his quill and started writing.

A couple of nights ago, I dreamt that I had walked into a room MADE of candy. Chocolate, jelly slugs, all of that. I sat in a little bench made of popcorns and ate EVERYTHING I could until I woke up. And guess what?! I had a stomach-ache when I woke up!! It was the best dream.

A goofy grin appeared on his lips as he remembered his dream and, upon finishing writing it down and listening to the Professor's instructions, he looked around. They had to share their dreams? He wasn't sure he wanted to do that!

People would get jealous of his awesome dream!

Dream interpretation? Hmmmm. As said before, dreams tell the future, so
it was safe to say what was going to happen to him in the future, get eaten by zombies. Oh joy. But right now, Jack needed to look for a partner. Feeling lazy, Jack turn to the person on his left, a boy. Ha, he hadn't talked to a male human in a while, it would be a nice break from girls. "D'you mind? My dream is going to be pretty easy to interpret." He smirked, handing him his parchement, with his dream on it.

Trixie had to think of a strange dream she had? Well that might be slightly difficult seeing as she didn't have the best memory. In fact it was rubbish, but it wasn't her fault. So maybe one she had a few times? Something with themes that ran throughout that confused her or were considered unusual. The best she could personally think of wasn't exactly unusual but it conatined a few themes throughout. The Blond epicked up her Quill and began to write...

SPOILER!!: Trixie's dream
I was sat by the Lake at Hogwarts on a summers evening. Strangely enough I was alone, there were no other people around, yet it should have still been school time and the only sound that came was from Grasshoppers and Crickets that hid in the grass. Out of the silence came a soft call from a bird, what the bird was I could not tell, it simply soared over my head and out from its wing fell a single feather that floated beautifully down onto my foot. I've had this dream in a few locations, not just the lake but at the treehouse and the Whomping Willow, however it was always the same bird and the feather always fell onto my foot.

The 16 year old put her Quill down and looked around for a partner who's dream she could interpret....

Anyone!

Lucy quickly took her parchment and wrote her dream she had once

My dream:
Quote:

In my dream i went to places all over the world enjoying myself with my family and friends, eating various dishes that were absolutely delicious and i couldn't stop myself from eating them. After eating we went to a park which had a slid and that looked really big. As i got ready to go, i see my sister pulling my hands and stopping me, i couldn't hear what exactly was she trying to say, but later some while i open my eyes seeing she calling me for breakfast.
Then looked around to see with whom she should share it.

Roselyn 09-09-2010 05:14 PM

Hmm, what?

Pssh, Evelyn was still trying to think of a dream that wouldn’t be embarrassing enough to put down on parchment and that others could actually read. True, most of her dreams were nightmares, but even she didn’t want to have anyone know about them. After awhile though, she decided to just to go with the last dream she had while staying at Destiny’s. It wasn’t all that horrifying.

SPOILER!!: ridiculous dream lol
One time, I had a dream that I was at Destiny’s house, which wasn’t so out of the normal since I spent practically the entire summer there. And everything seemed to be normal. The muggle box thing was still growling at us (supposedly it was broken?), her grandma was still trying to make us eat socks, and I was hiding in our room that we shared. But then, suddenly one of her sheep popped out from under the bed, and it wasn’t just ANY sheep. It was the one that bites.

Naturally, I didn’t want to get near the thing so I scooted off the bed to the other side and hid behind the bed, but then, another sheep popped out. Right in front of me! From under the bed! And then another, and another, and another, and soon it was like a flood of sheep in the room. I hate those sheep. Running out from the room, I ran downstairs to find Destiny in hopes of getting her to get rid of the sheep, but then her grandmum started chasing me with a sock, trying to get me to eat it. I was NOT going to eat a sock! REALLY! Why was she so insistent?

I didn’t find Destiny in the house, and I could see the sheep were now overflowing to the first floor of the house now, so I ran outside to find her. However, the outside was completely different. It didn’t have the country look to it like it normally did, but it was my backyard; at my house that I used to live in. What with the lush green grass and the unmistakable forest right there, it was hard to not recognize. However beautiful it was though, everything started to burn. Literally. Everything lit on fire in the next second. I usually love fire, but this was my home! I didn’t want to watch it burn! Of course, I couldn’t find my wand which was in the room that was overflowed with sheep…

Speaking of sheep, I think I turned around right then, about to go back and get my wand, but I couldn’t. The sheep were pouring out of the house, and they were running straight towards me. What was I supposed to do!? I was stuck!! Everything was on fire so I couldn’t run anywhere and I was going to die at fourteen year’s old, by sheep! Right before they got to me though, I woke up.

Stupid dream.

Reading over her really ridiculous nightmare-ish dream, Evelyn sighed and leaned back in her seat, crossing her arms. That was the most, abnormal dream. Ever. Where had Destiny been anyways? Probably trying to find the chocolate she hid in the house. Pffft. Leaning her had back on the seat, staring up at the ceiling, the Slytherin couldn’t help but think perhaps she should write a different one? Someone was going to read this!

RAE! Rae was the one that had to read it. Or Destiny. Actually, she’d feel less embarrassed if Destiny read it. She wouldn’t question about the whole sheep thing or laugh too loudly.

Hopefully.

Dreams ?

Callie had lots of dreams but one thing she wasn’t exactly sure about was remembering them. She sat for a few seconds looking down at her empty parchment and suddenly one of her dreams popped into her head She picked up her quill and began to write.

SPOILER!!: dream
So first I thing I knew I was in my usual dream land, it was yellow and there was a rainbow in the sky dancing with the sun. Yeah, im not all mean. And then the next thing I knew I was twirling through a tornado and there was a turtle called Henry talking to me and I then I landed in a hot-air balloon and safely floated down to a world which was the opposite of my dream world. The sky was full of clouds and there were no rainbows dancing with the sun and there were spiders and grasshoppers everywhere. So I ran through the flowers, surprisingly there were flowers in this world. I ran past a waterfall andd then finally ended back up in Callie ville (dream world.)

Parteners ? Meh. Callie wasn't good at this partener thing. Hopefully she'd find someone she knew to be parteners with.

ZOMG! Someone wanted Joshua to interpret his dream? That was totally AWESOME. Joshua was sure that he could do it just fine. How hard could it possibly be, after all? "Hi! I'm Petey!" He said with an excited grin in the boy's direction, getting the symbols list.

Now .. what was the boy's dream?!

O__________________________________O

WOW. Freaky. That was intense.

Giving the boy a awkward smile, he read through the list ... and then the dream again. eeeeh. He couldn't find any symbols in the dream! Oh ... except ... that knife thingy? "Well, the knife suggests you ... need to be careful with sharp words.." Sharp words?! What on Heaven's name were THOSE? "and with sharing personal information."

That was what the dream meant?!

Mugglemad 09-09-2010 05:27 PM

Victoria took out another piece of parchment and wrote down:

I dreamt that I was walking through a park and I had a feeling that I was being followed, I started to walk faster. I kept looking round, someone grabbed me from behind and then I woke up.

Callie?!

Oh she knew her. The Slytherin scooted over to sit next to her with a grin. "I'll interpret yours if you like?" she giggled. Trixie liked Divination, she had to have a partner. The 16 year old put her parchment down in front of the younger Slytherin and grabbed her parchment, scanning her eyes over it and remembering any symbols that were specific in her dream. There were quite a few actually, which made it so much easier for her.

"You ready?" she asked. "You go first or shall I?" she was willing if she didn't want to go first.

Reliving dreams was something Patroclus loved, so it was with gusto that he took up his quill and began
Quote:

Patroclus' Dream
I am in a room, it seems like it would be a kitchen, but it is not. Where the fridge and oven should be all I see is blurry shadows. It's as if my mind hadn't completed the dream, rather just inserted me into it half finished.
I looked down to my hands, one is holding a glass of milk, which rests on a table I am sat at, the other holds a choc chip cookie.
In the blink of an eye, I am atop a steep desert dune, the wind whipping at my face, making my clothes feel tight across my body as they move with the wind. I look to the sk, the sun is setting, a nail-thin moon is pale, but visible. In fact there are two moons.

Somewhere a camel grunts, I wake up.
He had had the dream only once, but it had always stayed with him.

Trixie grinned at the younger student then went ahead with her interpretation. Was she supposed to just like say it out loud or did Professor Reynolds want a written explanation as well? Or should she do both just to make sure. Well she would have to tell Callie anyway. "Okay so your dream starts out fairly normal. The presence of a rainbow at the start represents a wish you have coming true, a link between the present and a date with destiny" she grinned. "The sun is Representative of a new beginning, so perhaps because you linked the sun and the rainbows together this could mean that your wish is to do with starting again" could just be made up but it was what she was supposed to do. "Your dream seems to change pretty vividly" she stated a little confused, almost like the start of a nightmare. "A tornado is supposed to symbolise bad weather and that you should be prepared for this..." Well the weather in Scotland WAS pretty unpredictable. "This linked with your turtle friend could mean that you will have success, although progress would be slow. Maybe the weather ITSELF is representative of what is yet to come" she bit her lip. That last bit really didn't make sense, why she would achieve success out of bad weather. Now what else was there? "A hot air balloon? Well this could show new heights and achievements, almost reflecting what the turtle was based on earlier" although that wasn't a symbol was it? That was what Trixie personally thought.

"Once again you have an interesting change in scene" she thought about it. "This part is more like a nightmare to be honest. However some of the elements in this part aren't as scary as they may seem. A spider is supposed to show a small reward or a win, maybe your going to get lucky" she grinned. "The Grasshopper also seems to oppose the scene in which you were dreaming. For it also has quite lucky connotations as it represents summer. SO maybe the bad weather from earlier will get better and summer will return once more..." Did this just sound like utter rubbish to anyone?

"But we return back to the friendlier scene, flowers are all about compliments and praise, you are obviously going to do something that returns you a few compliments" the girl winked. "And a waterfall? This is about wealth. So maybe your compliments might have great outcomes" she giggled. She probably just made the WHOLE thing up but she was following what the symbols represented.

"All in all I'd say that was a pretty good dream...." Okay now her turn.

"It's nice to meet you Feenella," Selena said. Tell her about her dream...

"Erhm well... so I just come home from a walk... and when I open the door there's a staircase," she started. "So I start walking up of it, when this feeling of... fear or something creeps up on me, it's like there's something chasing after me so I start to run," Selena continued, the dream had felt real, it had been quite frightening at the time, "and I keep running, there's this window at the end, and I keep running towards it but the stairs never stop and I'm too afraid to look back because the thing might catch up to me," Selena added. "That's when I fall and when I do... I just woke up," Selena said, a wry smile after she said that.

"So... what do you think...?" Selena asked, absentmindedly twirling her hair around a finger nervously.
