Divination Final Nolan was seated on his desk, a stack of parchment with the final assignment sitting next to him as he swung his legs back and forth. Almost done. Just a little longer. "Come on in and take a seat, I'll begin to explain your assignment soon," he explained. There was a stack of books next to that parchment as well...the dream diaries, obviously. He hoped they were ready to write, cause they were gonna be doing quite a bit of it today! But first, he'd let them sweat a little bit. Hehe. OOC: You have an hour-ish to RP your character filing in before I begin the assignment and close the dream diary bookcase! |
Taylor walked into the Divination classroom- hopefully ready for Final- she really wasn't so sure. She should have spent a lot more time studying rather than thinking about Alex. She made her way to an empty seat in a good spot and put down her bag. She smiled over at the Professor and the twiddled her thumbs slightly, before playing with a stray curl. Wondering what was in store for them all... |
Walking into the classroom, feeling quite good about the moment Finals. Such torturous things. If they weren't necessary, she'd have skipped them all together. Which meant, no studying, which also meant, more time with Josh. Hmm, skipping finals. That was beginning to sound better and better. |
Hugo had studied, like all tests, a month non-stop. He hoped it would go well. He took a seat and waited. |
Stepping into the Divination classroom for the final, JD walks over to an empty seat and sits down. |
Taylor walked into the Divination classroom and looked for and empty seat. She found one towards the back of the room. She walked over to it, sat down and waited for the professor to began. |
Kai walked into the room and took a seat near the back. Oh great, another final. Don't fail Kai. Don't fail. He smiled - confidence was the key. And waited for the professor to give him instructions. |
OOC: From this point forward, just pretend your RP character was here the whole time. Thank you! "Alright, let's get started," Nolan said, hopping off the desk and giving his wand a flick so that the diaries started floating off to their respective owners. "Take a look at the diaries you've completed over the course of the year and choose your favorite dream. Even if it's not your favorite, it should have plenty of material for you to analyze," he explained. "I want you to write an essay, 3-5 paragraphs consisting of 5-7 sentences each, about this dream. I have symbol lists for all of you to use, and be sure that you analyze at least FIVE symbols or themes in your dreams," Nolan added. He then took a deep breath and bit his lip. "Also, I want to take this opportunity to let you all know that due to personal reasons, I will not be returning to Hogwarts next term to teach. I have enjoyed teaching all of you these past two years, and I'm sure that whoever takes up this position next term will be delighted to have such great students to work with," he added with a smile. "I'll stay up here in the front to assist you with any questions. You have two hours starting now," he explained. OOC: You have plenty of time to finish your essay...just RP your character writing it out, and then PM the actual essay to ME by November 22nd, at 7 PM EST. DO NOT post your essay in HERE. Also, please be sure to quote the dream that you selected. If you did NOT complete the dream diary portion of this assignment, you need to write one dream using the guidelines found in this post to use in your interpretation. Please include the dream in your PM as well and you'll get partial credit for the dream diary :] |
Rene listen to the professor intently. 'Wont be back' she was sad but that could nto affect the way she focused espeicaally when it came to the final. Sitting back and reading her dream diary to see which one she was going to chose for the final essay. She stopped for a moment and thought wow there was a lot of writing at finals. FOCUS back to the final fiding the perfect dream in her diary she pulled out her parchment and quill and ink and began to write out her essay. |
As Rex entered the classroom he said to Professor Reynolds "I will miss you Professor Reynolds. You are a great teacher and I wish you well." Rex listened to the instructions. He took a seat at one of the desks, brought out his parchment and quill and began to start writing. |
They were gonna interpret their dreams? Well, that was expected. Cass looked up from examining her nails when she heard that Professor Reynolds wasn't coming back...shame. She didn't really get to know the teacher much. But now she really wouldn't have the chance at all...but now was not the time to dwell on that...She had an essay to do. So she brought out her parchment and quill, and started writing. |
Freya was really surprised when she heard that Professor Reynolds won't be coming back to Hogwarts next term. Ohhhh nooooo..She was enjoying his lesson. She always love divination but Professor Reynolds made it much better. She hoped that whomever gonna be their Divination Professor next term will be as cool as him. Okay focus to the final. She listened to Professor Reynolds carefully when he explained to the class about their final exam. Essay? They had to write an essay? Okay then better get down with it. She pulled out piece of parchment and a quill from her bag and began writing the essay. |
Treyen straightened up as he took in the words. Yes, let's get started. He was more than ready for this final, even if he didn't study at all. The boy listened intently to the instructions given. It seemed like...something he wouldn't want to do, because we all know that the things he usually came up when interpreting something in Divination always left him feeling entirely awful and with plenty unanswered questions. Not cool. As soon as he was opening his black journal Professor Reynolds decided to give them some news, perhaps to invite them to a party at the Divination Tower? No. Treyen froze, the journal left his hands and made a thud when it hit the floor. "What?!" he didn't mean for the question to have an answer, he was just...shocked. How dare he tell those news BEFORE the final?! How was he supposed to focus?! Most importantly, what was he supposed to do without Nolan?! Why was he going awaaaaay?! Treyen was devastated. To say the least. But the boy shook his head and tried his best to regain the little sanity he had left to complete this final. |
hopefully I can get it done in the next hour xD Grayson walked into the Divination classroom for the final a bit nervous. Part of her wasn't even sure why she was here, other than she'd taken the class. She didn't think she'd do very well on interpreting things, at least. But at least she was being a good little Ravenclaw and taking her finals. Taking a seat, she listened to the instructions quietly, her mind wanting to think about the potions she'd been brewing lately instead of dreams and stuff, until Professor Reynolds said he was leaving. At that point, her head snapped up and she stared wide-eyed at him before retrieving her dream journal. They were going to have a new professor next term? That meant she'd have to get used to a new way of teaching, and she'd just been starting to get interested in Divination with this professor. Mentally sighing, she realized arguing wouldn't work, so she looked down again and started writing. |
