DADA Class 2 The weather had turned, and it was most definitely January... both inside and outside the classroom. Tate rubbed his hands together as he moved around the classroom, building up the fire in both braziers. In just a few moments, the classroom would be snug and warm, but at the moment...? Brr. Once the fires were raging, Tate propped himself up on his desk beside a tall, steaming jug. Class was ready to begin. |
Trixie walked into DADA, shivering slightly at the cold temperatures that had surrounded the atmosphere in Scotland. But she was excited for DADA, and she had done what she's been told. Worn clothes that certainly weren't her best. Ones she didn't mind getting dirty, but her Slytherin scarf was wrapped around her neck to keep her warmer. "Good Morning Headmaster. How are you?" the Blonde grinned as she walked in to lesson. Ah the fires. Now THAT was really enjoyable. The sheer heat coming off them. The sixteen year old sat herself down and waited for anyone she knew to come along. |
Daisy walked in and smiled, "Hello. How are you today Headmaster?" She took a front seat and pulled off her jacket. She only had a few thing on hand at the moment and was wearing the clothes she had wore to the last class. Hopefully it wouldn't be too much of a paint based class. |
Marie ran to class. She was not about to be late for class with Headmaster Entering the room she seen that there were only a couple of students there along with Head!Professor Tate that is. Oh and there he was, propped on his desk. Just like last class Marie took a seat right in front of the Headmasters desk. Yeah, this would be the only class she sat in the front. "Hello Professor Headmaster, how are you this lovely day?" she asked as she sat down. Yeah, she didn't even notice the chill in the room. She was too busy |
Kurumi walked in, bowed in greeting to the professor, and then took her seat. She wondered if there was going to be another wizarding paint ball this lesson...or if there was going to be another crazy outburst from a student... Kurumi's teeth chattered a bit from the cold, and she adjusted her scarf and robes to keep her body warmth in better. |
Adam walked in saw the Professor and said "Good day Professor" That was the best way to make them like you right off the bat. He spotted Kurumi and sat down next to her. "Told you I'd attend classes now, because of our studying..."He looked around- what will they learn today...Or Adam's first day of DADA |
Worn clothes...check. Old sweater to keep warm...check. Wand...check. Simon made his way down from the common room to defense classroom ready for the second class on the subject. The last one had certainly been fun and out of the norm. "Good day Headmaster," he greeted with a polite smile as he passed the man in question who was seated on his desk. Briefly looking around for any familiar faces, he found none and moved to take a seat near the front to await class to begin. |
Salander strode into the classroom, hands buried in his pockets. The Slytherin Common Rooms were nice and cozy, but getting from room to room around the castle was startling for the California lad. He didnt expect English winters could be this cold! And he was still missing his overcoat and his scarf, having lent them to the wounded Triwizard Champions. He nodded his head at the Headmaster "Mornin' Chief!" he greeted as he took a seat as close as he can to the braziers. He eyed the steaming jug and grinned 'Wonder if he plans to share whats in there? Brrrr. |
Amy walked into the lesson with not as much bounce as she normally did, she screwed up the letter in her hand and chucked it in the bin, then he put on her smile as she looked up, hello headmaster she said politley, she was in awe of her headmaster sooo much, but he scared her. A little. She grabbed the seat that was nearest the fire and waited for the lesson to start, feeling her fingers come back into action from the warming amber light |
Dressed in a black cotten jacket and the grey scarf he had taken to wearing around the drafty castle Riley entered the DADA classroom, smiling as he saw the fires warming the room. "Good Day Headmaster!" he said with a nod. "Thanks for the warmth, its freezing out in the Halls!" he said with a shiver and set his things down. He loosened his scarf that way it was for just looks now instead of warmth and then sat in his desk. The Gryffindor began to scribble on a scrap of parchment as he waited for what they would be doing for the lesson today. |
Selena walked into the classroom and smiled politely at the headmaster. "Hello Headmaster," she said as she walked towards a desk. It was certainly cold outside but in here it seemed all toasty warm. Selena sat down in a desk and undid her scarf so that it hung around her neck and unbuttoned her jacket. Maybe she shouldn't wear old worn sweats to class even though the professor told you to wear worn clothes, it was waaay too cold for it. Selena pulled out her notebook and a quill ready for the notes she would have to take. |
Leilani entered the classroom, giving a warm smile to Headmaster Tate. "Hello Sir." she pulled her jacket tighter around her and re-wrapped her scarf around her neck. Honestly, it didn't do much but it deffinitely beat freezing to death. Lani took a seat and waited for class to start. And for the room to heat up. Sigh.... Well, at least there was a fire going. |
"Good morning," Tate nodded as he was greeted by each student in turn. They were polite little people, weren't they? "I apologize for the temperature. It's bloody hard to keep it from snowing, almost as hard as it is to regulate temperatures in this castle. For those who are interested, I have some hot chocolate up here. It's serve yourself." He levitated a stack of mugs from the bookshelf to rest beside the steaming pitcher of cocoa. Selecting one, he filled it to the top, relishing the puff of warm air coming off the surface. Oh look! Marshmallows! |
Evelyn didn't really care if it were cold outdoors, but inside, it should've been like a million degrees! And why she was still not used to this cold weather, she didn’t know. Pulling her jacket tighter around herself, the Slytherin slowly made her way towards the defense classroom so none of the chilly air would blow against her face. And she left extra early for class to do just that. With a usual scowl on her face, Evelyn entered the classroom, her eyes widening slightly at how warm the room was compared to the corridors. Whaa? OMG! FIRE! Look at it! LOOK…AT…IT! Gotta grab a seat close to it! Hmm here was one. WOOOT! Now she could stare at the FIRE! Oh. "Good day, Professor." Right, greetings done, now time for staring. Ew, no hot chocolate. He didn't have any tea? FAIL! |
Why yes, he would be interested in some hot chocolate, thanks much. Kellen made his way up to the front of the freezing classroom and helped himself, making sure not to skimp on the marshmallows, "Thanks, sir!" First throwing paint around, and now drinking hot chocolate? Yup, he was really starting to like this class. |

It had taken Arya forever to leave her warm seat beside the fire in her common room, get dressed, and walk to the second floor. She didn't mind the cold so much when it was outside, but when it was inside where she couldn't get away? Not so much. It was possible she wouldn't have been so early had the corridors not been so cold, hence her skip coming off more as a run as she entered the class. Tugging the yellow beanie over her ears, she glanced around the office. It wasn't the fire that put a hug smile on her face, but the coco! Quickly making her way over to the hot chocolate, she spared the Headmaster a glance and smile. "Morning, Professor Tate." Coco makin time! |
ZOMG HOT CHOCOLATE!!! At the mention of something that wouldn't half freeze her to death, Leilani quickly stood up and went over to get some. Heh, marshmallooooooooows. Nomnomnomnom. She picked up a mug, filling it with the delicious liquid and descreetly managed to fill it up about half way with marshmallows. Heh. The were just Sooooo Goooood. Lani sipped the cocoa and sighed in relief as a wave of warmth shed over her. Oh yes, much better. |
OMG Hot chocolate, the headmaster was reading her language, she stood up and forced her chair back making her bag spin across the floor, ah well HOT CHOCOLATE time! She practicaly sprinted over to the cocoa thanks headmaster she said happily, picking up her mug and adding some marshmellows she walked back to her desk and now... Hot chocolate time yuuummmm |

But since the permission was given, Riley could be good and still get some drink. He quickly made it to the front of the room and filled his mug with Hot chocolate and then dumped a few white fluffy marshmellows on top. Then skirtting back to his desk he stuggled up in his scarf again and began to drink. "Thanks soo much Professor!" he grinned, a slight creamy mustache over his lip. |
Hot chocolate? Forget the hot part, she just cared about the chocolate. Hehe. Selena smiled and walked over to the front where the hot chocolate was and smiled. She pinched in a few marshmallows. "Thank you Headmaster," Selena said, a grin on her face. Yay~ Sugaaar. Hehehe. Note to self. Don't get all hyper. She returned to her seat and blew at the top of the cocoa and took a sip of it. Chocolate... yumm.... warm... hehehe. |

Salander stood up and waited his turn at the now quickly formed line for the cocoa drink. Sitting next to the brazier got him warmed up a bit on the surface, but he was still chilled to the bone. When he got his share he said "Mighty thoughtful of you to share Headmaster. Thanks a lot!" he said as he raised his cup gratefully, then returned to his seat. |

"Should we go ahead and get started? Anyone else want some cocoa before we begin? This is our last call, unfortunately." Tate toasted the class with his mug before taking a long sip. Mmm... cocoa mustache. |
Lexi entered the DADA classroom just as the Tatertot said hot cocoa. YUMMO! She has been wrapped tightly in both Ravenclaw and Gryffindor scarves and the other cold weather garb as she made her way down from the tower. Smiling she began to take some layers off as she crossed the room claimed a desk in the front to toss her stuff on as she went to get cocoa. "Hello Professor! How are you today?" she said in a pleasant sing songy voice. |
