Fingers still loosely linked to the edge of her beanie, her bright eyes turned to the creature in Saylen's hand. Spider! Arya looooved spiders. Though she didn't exactly know what kind of spider it was. Tarantula maybe? Hmm. She scooted even closer to Ivory when the girl moved, cause her friend was warm.

And that's when chaos ensued.

Her eyes flicked over to the Huffie Head Girl passed out just from seeing the creature. The lesson had just started and already it was going bad. Absently tugging on the brim of her old beanie, she let her worried eyes flick from the Sarah to Saylen.

She was gonna do something, right?

Having been looking at all their faces, Maya turned towards the first person who spoke up. And was wrong. "No, this is not an Acromantula.

Hm? "Yes... This is a spider. But what kind?"

"Yes. Correct you are." The Mexicana nodded at the students who had answered...correctly. But, "If I hear you scream one more time, Miss Malfoy, I will ask you to leave this class." Like, really.

But, apparently this was a school full of screamers.

Inhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaale of deep breath.
"Sileeeeeeeeeeeeeence!" Oh, poor poor tarantula. It moved a bit in her palm when all the screaming began and it definitely moved when Maya bellowed. "I will not have people shouting in my class!"

Eh, someone fainted? But, why?
The Mexicana's dark eyes fell on the girl, but she ignored her...for now. "You!" Pointing to ALL the screamers. "Treat this creature with respect. Your screams will not help you and it will definitely not put the spider to ease." Oh, and most importantly. "If anyone else screams, I will take points."

Hide the spider? Maybe the girl should hide. And her friends were not helping. At all. "Girls! Stay calm and be quiet!" Maya did not want a headache today, thankyou very much. "She has merely fainted." Annoyiiing. "Let her be for a minute and she'll come around." Or get escorted to the Hospital Wing. Whatever.



"Now. If I may continue." She wasn't asking permission. "This is infact a Tarantula. Some of you mentioned that it resembled an Acromantula. Indeed it does. We shall be learning more about Acromantulas this evening." She squinted at them all. They'd better not whine. "Who can tell me what classification the Ministry has given these magical spiders?" Hmmmmmmmmm?

WHAT?!

RESPECT the spider!? Screaming wouldn't put the spider at ease!? Did that mean...it was going to EAT THEM!?

If there was one thing Evelyn hated most in the world, it was a spider. Sure, the color pink, the whomping willow, and her little brother along with all the other small children in the world scared her till no end, but a spider was right at the top of the list. Just below her little brother.

That thing wasn't a tarantula. It was a BEAST! SEE!? It made someone faint. MONSTER!!! "Are we talking about a-acromantulas or..taran...tulas?" she squeaked, feeling her cheeks burn in embarrassment. She didn't want to be in this class. Even though she was in the back, and far enough away from the spider, it could still jump at her. Eat her head whole and save her arms and legs for all it's buddies. "Acromantula's have a rating of five X's but those...those things..." Monsters. "Don't really have a rating. Do they?"

She was...holding in the scream. Just, keep it away from her!!

Finn glanced around the class, not really getting why the girls were all screaming. It was a spider, and surely the professor wasn't going to let it eat them all or something. That was not good education. They should just like shut up, and let the class continue. Oh. A Tarantula. Finn had never generally been that good at magical creatures. But by the way the girls were reacting it seemed this spider thingy would have a high rating. "I would assume they would have a high one." He spoke as he raised his hand. "People being scared of them and all, But It'd depend on if it's going to eat us or not." Which he certainly hoped not. Even though it would be quite entertaining.

Jeez.. you would think Saylen had just produced a Dementor the way all the girls were going on. Oliver rolled his eyes. The spider was waaaay more scared of them than they were of it... as he'd tried to explain about Mrs Spider to Cameron, Trixie AND Roxxy on countless occassions.

Silly drama queens.

Like, seriously.

He had to smirk when the woman threatened to throw Trixie out. heh! She would just LOVE that wouldn't she.. the self confessed swot that she was.

He looked back at the professor, eyes widening a little. They were gonna be learning about Acromantulas? COOOOOOOL! Would they be getting to meet these masseeeve spiders?

He raised his hand again, ignoring the annoying girlish commotion around him. "Professor, an Acromantula is rated the top classification of XXXXX."

She just got told off. WHAT?! Trixie never got told off. The Blonde tore her eyes away from poor Sarah and over at the Professor. "Sorry" she muttered but closed her mouth so that she didn't have a chance of screaming again. Stupid Spider. She could scream all she liked if she wanted, in fact she might just do that right now. Then at least she would be out of the lesson. She opened her mouth to voice her opinion "ACTUALLY!....Never mind" she chickened out. Yeah she'd stay in here and hide, she didn't want to loose any points.

*Pout*

The sixteen year old sent a glare over at Oliver as she spotted his smirk. She wanted to say something truly but no point loss for her thanks. Instead she continued to glare.

Leave her? They couldn't just leave her. Trixie didn't get up at all, instead stood next to Sarah and smiled a little as Lori came over towards them.

What classification was it? XXXXX obviously but she wasn't saying that in fear of getting told off again.

HMPH!

Simon looked at the Professor. "Was it given an X rating for being so boring?" Simon asked he had no idea but normal spiders weren't too bad right, so how bad could a spider be, he would hold one if he could but since he didn't have too he wouldn't.

Alice raised her eyebrows as the Head Girl for Hufflepuff passed out, before covering her ears at the deafening screams the girls around her were making.

Oh for heaven's sake. It was just a spider, wasn't it? Besides it didn't look like it had any intention of hurting them considering it looked rather content in Professor Saylen's hand...that was until they had started screaming.

Alice looked to the teacher to handle this situation, which she did rather thoroughly, but Alice had to admit she was a bit concerned with the poor head girl just lying there unconscious on the ground. Hopefully she would come around soon...

"Professor Saylen would it fall under the Beast Division? It doesn't seem like it would be very harmful, so I imagine the Department of Magical Creatures would probably give it one x. However, an acromantula would probably have a higher rating of five or six x's."

She could hear alot of voices. They were in her head, but they weren't hers. OMG, she's gone mad! Or, you know, it could have been the fact she was coming round slightly, and there were three people surrounding her, talking.

Head Girl? Sarah? Ohhh, right yes. That was her. Her eyelids flickered, but she kept them closed. She wanted to stay there, where she was much safer - away from the spider, and not having to look at it. As her brain came into more focus, Sarah reached out a hand to grab the nearest thing to help her move. "Urrrghhhh. Owww," she murmured, hauling herself into a sitting position and rubbing the back of her head with her other hand.

Squinting at the faces in front of her, she made out Trixie, Lori and a little Hufflepuff she thought she knew the name of, but wasn't sure. "I'm...I'm awake," she croaked, throat a little sore from her scream. "Thank you guys."

Now was really NOT the time to look over at Saylen, was it? Not that Sarah actually wanted to, if she still had the spider in her hand.

In truth it wasn't so much the voices of her friends that had bought her round, it was the awful shouting from the Professor. Kind of shocked her back into consciousness, you could say.

And she didn't seem to care about the fact the Head Girl had fainted. What a caring person she was. Snort. Grumbling under her breath, Sarah shot her a slightly annoyed glance, before quickly turning her gaze away from the creepy creature in her hands. "Grrrrr, I have come round. Mores the pity." The sentence was barely more than a whisper, and certainly not loud enough for the Mexican to hear.

Working her way onto her knees, she pushed up and plopped herself back down on the bench, still not looking at the CREEPY SPIDER. This lesson is baaaad for my health, she thought, rubbing her eyes and pulling her scarf up to try and cover them.

Classification? Meh. Could she do this lesson without looking at the animal? Groan.

Wait.. Señorita Professoro was just going to LEAVE Sarah like that? An eyebrow raised and he looked from the professor to the fainted girl, catching Trixie's death glare as he did so. He grinned at winked at her knowing fine well it would get on her nerves. And he couldn't help snorting loudly when he heard Lori directing a joke towards the unconscious Sarah. *Snort* The yellow prefect was so much like himself it was scary.

Not that he would be hiding from the spider... butcha know..

He was about to go over.. see if 'Rennervate' worked on unconscious Head Girls, but she started to come around. He watched her closely. She seemed to be alright.. although it was kinda shocking that the professor had continued the class while she lay there out for the count. He nodded at the girl, mouthing a “You Okay?” towards her.

Ehh.. she seemed fine.. albeit a wee bit grumpy.

Oh, she was coming around. Good. Treyen smiled when he was certain the Head Girl was in a perfectly good condition of...not fainting again...and then nodded when she thanked them.

Now he was walking to his seat, next to Fletcher..when..his eyes widened...



...'Girls! Stay calm and be quiet!'. But then his eyes narrowed at Saylen when he took his seat, "I'm not a girl!" he said, a very serious face he had, indeed.

And, clearly, he was NOT a girl, because he wasn't the one screaming. Boys didn't go around screaming because of a spider. Nope. They kill it.

But, back to the eight legged creature. The tarantula. And he tilted his head to one side as if deep in thought, "If we're studying Acromantulas, then why did you bring a Tarantula?" because he was certain that they were not the same thing. Not at all.

"I know it's dangerous, with its five X's rating and the whole 'known wizard killers, and are impossible to train or domesticate' thing, but still...why?" questioning eyes looking over to Professor Saylen.

He nodded and got up to go sit next to his uncle and that gumball Hufflepuff. He didn't know her name but she was still pretty nice. He waved at her and sat down on the log next to Oliver.

He almost fell off his log when she produced a big spider in her hand. He wasn't going to scream. But he shrank behind Oliver all the same. Spiders made his skin crawl. But he wasn't going to scream or faint.

But he did snicker when Sarah fainted. Served her right. Albeit he was still hiding behind his uncle, but he snickered just the same.

How could it be that they were so confused? Hadn't Maya just said they would be talking about Acromantulas?
Blink. "No...the tarantula is a non-magical creature." Uh, "Therefore, it does not have a Ministry rating." duuh. Raising of the eyebrow at this one.

Uhm. "Yes, a high rating. Acromantulas eat people. So, yeah. High rating."

Finally an answer without any confusing questions to accompany it. "Correct, Mister Greenwood."

An apology. Maya had lost hope the students would show that kind of discipline by now.

Or, not.
Well, nothing else to do but ignore that girl. Attention seeking girl, for sure.

"This tarantula in my hand, is not an Acromantula." Did she...need to repeat that? "The Acromantulas are not as calm as this tarantula is right now." Geddit?

Hmmm. Someone who's thinking. "Actually, yes, the Tarantula might indeed fall under the Beast Division and get one or two x's - if it were magical. Good thinking."

Ah, some weird sounds coming from the fainted girl. It seemed she was coming round again. "Miss Griffin. Nice of you to join us again." Hope she didn't bang her head too hard.

Blink. He was not a girl. That is good, and Maya doesn't care. D:
"I brought a Tarantula because if I had brought an Acromantula, you'll all be dinner." You dig? "I cannot show you an Acromantula...yet...so this will have to do."


"Can anyone tell me the where around the world acromantulas live?"

Good thing we have that cleared out.

There it was! She was going to feed him to an Acromantula! He'd better pay attention in this class, in case she decided to make him tonight's dinner for a very lucky Acromantula.

Yet.

Yes, it was happening tonight! Eek!

He keep his face neutral, though, but kept close to Fletcher just in case. "They're from Borneo, no?" he said, after raising his hand.

They weren't gonna get to meet any giant killer spiders? *pout* ....Mind you it was probably just as well given the reaction of the class to a mere harmless tarantula.

Magical Creatures was one of the few subjects Oliver actually knew something about... other than Quidditch that was. He raised his hand again. “Borneo, professor.” He replied.

Simon looked at the Professor. "No spider can be as bad as a tarantula." Simon was sure of that. "I bet a Acromantulas isn't that bad, I think I would be able to hold one without getting hurt." Simon said suddenly, he was sure he would be able to, what was this Professor thinking, well maybe she was just trying to scare him.

"Well that's easy." Simon said suddenly. "Surely if you could get hold off one it must mean that they live in the U.K." Simon wondered what the next question would be.

Diggy raised his hand. He knew this one. "In the rainforests in Asia." he said making sure she kept a safe distance from him as long as she had that spider in her hand.

Finlay really didn't know where Acromantula lived...but he was pretty sure that there were some in the Forbidden forest. What he definetly knew was that they probably weren't meant to naturally live there. "Isn't there a colony in the Forest Professor?" Because he'd totally read about that. "But I don't think there meant to be there....but are there by accident?" He'd look like a idiot if they were meant to be there though...umm.

Kurumi shivered slightly at the sight of the big spider. At least it wasn't a cockroach because then they would be having problems. One of her brothers had gone through a spider phase when he was younger, so Kurumi had seen fuzzy big things like the one the professor was holding. Shaking just a bit, she raised her hand. "Professor, I believe that they are native to the rainforests of Southeast Asia, particularly Borneo." She paused for a moment. "I've also read that that area was once covered in rainforests...but due to logging and farming that area has been destroyed...are Acromantulas in danger of losing their natural habitat, professor?"

Marie had been standing there with Evelyn and Destiny not really paying attention to what they were talking about. She was paying more attention to a certain Ravenclaw than she was her friends.

Holy acromantula, that was a HUGE SPIDER!

Stepping back as far as she could from that thing she listened to what the others had to say about it. Hopefully they weren't expected to touch that thing. There was no way she was touching it.

Wait! There was not going to be an actual acromantula in class was there? Oh this was not a good class to be in. Why did she even bother coming today?

Maybe she should go hide behind James. He wouldn't let anything hurt her... right?

"Arent they coming from the dshungle region in borneo,professor",Fee said rasing her hand.
Care of magical creatures was one of the subjects in what Fee really had almost nooo knowlegde in yet.

Salander turned at the young Gryffindor and gave her a small salute. It was all he could muster since the armor severely limited his movement (not to mention his vision). He turned his attention back to the front just as the Professor brought out the tarantula. I knew it was a good idea to wear this... he gloated silently in his metal suit as he watched the commotion from the rest of the class.

Acramantulas.... the same kind from them Potter stories? the one that nearly made dinner out of him and his buddy? Raising a squeaky gauntlet the lad replied "Acramantulas were originally from Borneo, but has since been found in dense jungles and forests around the world. In fact there may be a colony right there in the Forbidden Forest."

looking at the spider "they would probly live any where spiders can live warmer climates, the forbiden forest had a nest at one time,Are we going to go see if there are any left " the fire light giving a Glimmer to the boy's eyes

Still clutching to her legs.. too forcefully that they started to get numb, Louisa groaned with low tone. That their lesson today? Man! Why did she take this subject again? Oh yeah because she needed points. Start to think if it was worth it or not.

"In a forest.. maybe?" Where else? Not like it'd prefer to live in a street or a park. Eeew. "A Forbidden Forest like the one in this school? As not to let it hurt people.." Right? She wasn't going beyond the red line, was she? She just took it for granted that no one on the planet would like this thing in a regulat forest.

His attention was pulled from Professor Saylen and that creepy spider in her hand to Sal. He was dressed like one of the knights in the corridors. And Diggy had a suspicion he knew where Sal got the armor from. If Diggy liked the boy he would have asked if he could have crawled in there with him. It seemed a safe place from that spider in Saylen's hand. And if she got any closer to him he was going to scream like a girl and crawl into Oliver's lap. And he frankly wouldn't care who was watching either.

His head jerked in the direction of the Hufflepuff. "Are you crazy?" Diggy asked him. He wanted to go hunting for one of the most dangerous creatures known to wizards. And he wasn't even a seventh year. Yeah he was crazy.
