Lexi smiled as she rose from her seat and gripped her wand tightly. Concentrating on her grandmum Agrona in balet tights and shoes she pointed her wand and said, "Ridikkulus." It was pretty funny, but she was fairly certain that it wouldn't be enough to fend off a booggart so she took a deep breath and stood there contemplating what she really feared and what was REALLY funny.

Simon almost rolled his eyes as Josh said he feared nothing. Pfft! He could think of at least one thing his friend was fearful of at it probably had something to do with lack of attention. Now himself on the other hand...he knew he had fears. But what his worse fear was he had no clue.As Professor Carlton revealed the steps to the spell and asked them to practice, Simon took out his wand to do as was asked.

"Ridiculous." he pronounced, pointing at an empty space with his wand as if he was pointing it at an actual boggart. He tried it a few more times before stopping and trying to think of something funny to focus on if or more likely when he had to deal with whatever he met.

Cameron bit her lip and nodded. That was bang on the mark. Man.. they were creepily similar at times. "The worst part is you have to face it.. and laugh 'bout it. I don't think there's ANYTHING funny in seeing someone leave you.. but it being fake." Her worst fear. Realised. No fair.
"So awkward with all these people.." She added in agreement.

She smiled softly and leaned into him slightly. "Better to be optimistic than see the negative all the time." Like she did. heh. Well at least SOMEONE in their relationship was usually cheery. Wouldn't do to have two paranoid, selfish beings in it, now would it?
Her smile turned to a cheeky laugh and she nodded. "That was funny. Zucchini." HEHE. He STILL reminded her of that vegetable. With the little curly bit up the top.

Gherkin Girl. She grimaced. "I absolutely loathed you. I don't know WHAT inspired me to go get icecream with you. And look now, I don't think I could live without your priceless humour." She'd changed. Eons. Mellowed a little. She was less likely to go on rampages now. Heh.
"What about the time you tried to get me fit.." She trailed off with a laugh. "That had failed hard." So she wasn't very sporty. And she'd faceplanted into a puddle. Whatever...

Alice copied down what appeared on the board into her notebook before taking her wand out of her holster.



Alice tried to think of something that she found comical. She thought of her miniature doxen at home, who could be rather comical when he wanted too, but she thought perhaps something simpler would be better. Hmmm.

A rubber duck. Yes, a rubber duck would be simple enough and should work. Alice closed her eyes for a moment, getting a clear picture of a rubber duck in her mind, smiling at the thought of it, before saying, "Riddikulus."

What could make her laugh a monkey tap dancing. She closed her eyes pictured the monkey.

She opened them "Riddikulus" she said as she pointed har wand straight ahead.

Sweet Merlin!

There was an actual boggart in that desk?

Destiny was tempted to hide, and the creature didn't even emerge yet! She didn't want everyone to see what she was most scared of. What if people laughed at her? Or..what if she was too scared to face it? Pfffft. People were going to laugh at her no matter what she did now.

Pulling out her wand, she glanced up at the board. She could do this..it wasn't like the boggart was even out yet..right?

And Evelyn. She was making this no easier. "Real funny." she muttered, before pointing her wand at her friend. "Riddikulus. You look like Grandmum Tole now."

Actually..that was not funny.

Alex perfectly knew what to do..
"Riddikulus" mutter Alex she knew it will work.
She had her think ready when the real Boggart comes..

Oh, was the real deal underneath that sheet after all? After quickly writing down the instructions in her notes, Jenny tried to think of a happy thought. Thinking. Thinking. Thinking. When she finally found a thought, Jenny raised her wand and closed her eyes as she yelled "Riddikulus!"

She only opened her eyes only to notice that nothing happened. Darn...she needs to practice more, that's all. No need to panic.

Er... Wha? Teacher-lady ACTUALLY brought one in here? What was she thinking? Kids would be half scared to death and fainting. This wont be good... Especially when Rae started thinking about the instructions to get rid of a boggart.... Charms. obviously. Now she was starting to feel sick again, though she was so embarrassed last time this happened.... NO, she wont let this happen, she wont get sick because of some stupid charm...

After a few deep breaths she walked over to where Destiny and Evelyn were. "Hey.... You guys are going to.... Face it right?" Because Rae certainly wanted to opt out, but not alone. If they were going for it, so would she... *gulp*
"What do you think the boggart will turn into for you?" Looking at Destiny... She was actually interested in this. For all Rae knew, her worst fear could be an ice skating pig....... That wouldn't be a surprise either.

Evelyn couldn't help but laugh at the expression Destiny was giving her. Aw come one Destiny! It was a bit of fun!

That is, until her friend turned the tables on her.

"Now that, was not funny." she scowled, turning back forward in her seat and crossing her arms. She looked nothing like that crazy lady who couldn't apparate right. O_____O. Turning back around, she pointed her wand at Destiny again. "Riddikulus." Because she could. "Now you look Kay."

Bahaha! Wait...no that wasn't funny either.

Hmm wha?

Raising a brow as she looked at Rae, Evelyn couldn't help but wonder but... "Are you okay? You seem out of breath." Like she just ran a mile. Staring at her for a moment longer, the Slytherin shrugged her shoulders and moved her attention over to Destiny.

Yes, what would her boggart be?

Vashti was really dreading this. What on earth would the boggart turn into when it got to her? She was afraid of many things, so which would it turn into? Though there was one that she was more afraid of than most...but it wouldn't dare turn into that, would it? And how could she possibly turn that sort of fear into something funny? Oh Merlin...

Still, she knew she needed to practice anyway. Definitely needed to practice, even if she wasn't entirely sure what the boggart would turn into for her nor whether she would actually succeed with the Riddikulus spell when she actually faced it...but practice made perfect so she would have to try.

After copying down the stuff on the board, Vashti picked up her wand and tried to concentrate. Think of something happy, something that will make you laugh, and imagine the boggart turning into that...

"Riddikulus!"

...Well Merlin, how on earth did she know if she'd even done that right?! There was no fake!boggart to practice on and that was the only thing the spell worked on! Oh Merlin, I'm doomed.

His eyes glazed over a little at the thought of Humphrey Boggart appearing in class. "That would be so cool if Bogie came." he replied dreamily "I mean I understand how some people would be terrified of ghosts, but I tell yea, if Bogart showed up I'd be handing him a pen and paper to sign rather than waving this stick around and insulting him." Speaking of which...

"How do you say that? Rid-- Ridiculous?" the lad repeated, totally mispronouncing the spell. He glanced back at the board then scratched his head "And how are we supposed to find anything hilarious if we dont even know what form Bogart will turn into to scare us?"

Release it!!! Did she say Release it. Okay let them get a peak out of it yeah... But release it Brittany didnt like that idea. She didnt even know what the stupid thing would turn into because she was afraid of alot of things. *sigh*

She slowly took out her wand and began praticing

"Riddikulus!" she said lazily. Yes this really was ridiculous She really need to get into the mood of things of she was going to regret it soon

Practice Time.

With a simple point of her wand Dianna practiced the incantation.
"Riddikulus." she muttered. She had an idea on what her boggart will be although she had no idea on how to make it funny. She'll have to think fast though as she practiced saying the incantation and movement over and over.

Vienna kept practising with her wand "Riddikulus" She knew what her boggart would be and hoped the spell would work when she had to face the real one

Fake boggart? Like fake invisible ball.. Heh. That was easy. Louisa thought about her most fears. Hmm. That wasn't easy. Well, she feared many things let's say the boggart would take the shape of any magical creature. She looked forward concentrating hard on the imaginary boggart and then said, "Riddikulus!" Puff! The boggart should be gone by now. Proud big smile at the fake victory.

Grayson giggled a little at the look on Salander's face as he responded to her comment about Humphrey Bogart, while she continued practicing the spell in her head. The funny part would just have to wait, although now she was seriously considering having the boggart turn into the actor, just because of this. But first. "Ghosts aren't that scary. We have ghosts at Hogwarts," she pointed out. She hadn't really met any of the school ghosts, but she knew they existed. "And I'd like to see that." Asking the boggart for an autograph. She momentarily wondered if it would startle the boggart enough to work just as well as the spell, but then the conversation got more serious.

"I think it's kind of pronounced the same. Just spelled differently," she mused. Riddikulus, ridiculous. To be honest, she thought it basically meant the same too, considering the spell made things look silly. Maybe that would be something to ask Professor Carlton, if it wasn't answered anyway. "Y'know, I don't really know. I think it's just that we need to concentrate past our fear to turn whatever it is into something funny. I mean, what makes you laugh?What scares you?" She didn't really expect an answer, but it was something to think about. Especially considering she wasn't even sure what the boggart would turn into when it saw her.

Emmy listened carefully to what the professor was saying, then began to think about what the boggart might turn into to frighten her. Her friends? No. Mr Chang? No. Her parents? Maybe. Oh. A vision came, unbidden, into her head; her father, sprawled on the floor, blood forming a pool around him... She fought the idea, tried to push it down, but she realised that this was the form the boggart would be most likely to take.
She struggled to find some way of making it harmless, and eventually hit upon making her father wear a grass skirt, and a pair of coconuts. Shakily, she said, "Riddikulus!"

OK...time to get serious. Kurumi closed her eyes and tried to envision something that frightened her. She held her wand and began to envision ways to make the demon from her dreams become something funny. Once she had the idea in her mind, she raised her wand and shouted, "Riddiku------AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!"

She jumped backwards and ended up falling backwards over one of the desks. She hadn't expected scary cookie hating Slytherin girl to be right in front of her. Great...now her boggart was going to turn into her...How could she make her funny? Put her in a giant cookie costume?

O______O!!

Jumping in surprise, her wand automatically flew from being pointed at Destiny, towards whoever just shouted extremely close to her. Did they want to be hexed!? Because Evelyn had NO problem doing just that! However, the Slytherin clamped her mouth shut from saying any particular spells.

Mostly because she couldn't see who just yelled. Until however, she saw legs on the ground. Meh? Leaning to the side, the fourth year peaked under the other desks to see who it was. Bahaha! Cookie girl! Fell over a desk! "Get too scared of your own thoughts?"

OhmyMerlin! Cookie hating girl was looking at her with her wand out.

Was she going to hex her nose off or turn her into a newt? Kurumi fumbled around trying to get herself upright when THUMP! she smacked her head on the bottom of the desk and knocked the tops contents off. Kurumi squinted and hoped against hope that the stuff was not the belongings to scary cookie hating girl. "No........" Kurumi's hands went instantly to her mouth to stop herself from digging her own grave. "m-m-maybe...."

Emmy looked over at all the commotion behind her, just in time to see her friend Kurumi fall over a desk. Walking over, she helped her up, then turned to the slythie who had been mean to her friend.
"Don't be so horrid - go pick on someone your own size! Kurumi, are you okay?"

Owhhh!.... Emily so didnt want to do this. Already images of Rose sprang to her mind. The blast of light, the scream, the silence. Her little sister on the floor. No, dont even...something funny, something funny. Rosie in her mothers stillettos, lipstick on her smiling mouth, no that was too sad. Ah Rosie in Emily's school robes. Emily snorted quietly, yep, that would do the trick. Fixing that one memory firmly in her mind, Emily began her spell practice.

Okay so all she had to do was point her wand and say the incantation and think of something funny.

Riiiiiiight!!!!

Mia had trouble remembering what day it was most of the time. How was she supposed to do all this and get rid of a boggart as well? Couldn't she just like give the boggart a flower and tell it to live in peace and harmony?

No?

Ugh...Mia took out her wand and was busy trying to think of something that she could turn the boggart into and failed to realise that she was holding her wand the wrong way.

She pointed it out in front of her and spoke the incantation as clearly and confidently as she could. "Ridd- uk -ulus."

There was a flash of light and a loud BANG! And a second later there was a strange smell. Mia looked down and gave a horrified squeal.

"I'm on FIRE!!"

It had happened again.

Evelyn snorted quietly as the cookie girl hit her head, but tried to look concerned at the same time. Professor Carlton was probably watching and since she was an older student, she had to be all 'helpful and sincere' and whatnot.

Maybe...

The Slytherin really did have a good remark to that, but someone else interrupted her brilliant plan of digging the grave for Cookie girl.

The sly smile disappeared from her face as a serious expression took over, her brow raising in surprise as her gaze turned to whoever just spoke so rudely to her. Don't be so horrid?

It was quite the contrary in Evelyn's own opinion. She thought she was being rather nice. Considering what her usual remarks to such people were. "You mean...like you?"

The Slytherin had her eye on her now. Going to the bad list!

OMG FIRE!

Evelyn wanted it! LOOKATIT! SO PRETTY!

"HURRY!" she yelled, pointing to a random book on someones desk. "HIT IT WITH THAT BOOK!" It totally worked in that one potions class. Even though it was the desk that was on fire and not a person.
