Emmaleigh just couldn't figure it out. What was she afraid of the most? It deffienately wasn't the normal things girls were supposed to be afarid of. Em was such a tomboy, and loved things like spiders and mice. Ok, so maybe she didn't love mice, they were such a pain on the farm, but she was deffinatley not afraid of them. Maybe it would turn in to Scary Lafay? No, probably not. Even is she was scary, Lafay hadn't yelled at her yet. Or how about something to do with flying a broom? Yeah, Em deffinately didn't like that. OR the fear of adding another portriate to the walls of the hullepuff common room? That had been bugging here ever since she reasurched Harry Potter, and ran across the names of some of the people who's faces lined the walls. She so did not want someone else to die. *gulp* not knowing how to make any of her possible fears funny, she just pointed her wand straight a head, and said, "Riddikulus" |
Quote:
"No problem! And thank you, too - for helping me out in DADA!" Quote:
"No dear. I mean like your ego. Now run along, and practice - this is a lesson you know!" And then of course, someone else started yelling. Quote:
"Come on, you can sit with me if you like!" |

Destiny didn't even notice the older girl in the classroom, and it might have had something to do with that boggart in the desk. Seriously! This was not Defense Against the Dark Arts! That thing should NOT be allowed anywhere near the Charms classroom. With her wand still pointed at Evelyn, Destiny turned her head ever so slightly to look at Rae. What was her boggart going to be? "Something I am afraid of." Obviously. Quote:
Looking like Grandmum Tole was NOT funny at all, but the look on Evelyn's face was. Destiny chuckled a little..until her friend once again pointed her wand. KAY!? Really!? That meant she was a Huffie..and they were just too yellow. "Now that was not funny." Evelyn totally drew the line with that one, and Destiny was just about to use the Riddikulus Charm on her friend again when.. Quote:
Quote:
Sweet Merlin it was not the classroom on fire, it was Mia! FLAIL! "NO! Don't hit it with that book!" she yelled, pointing to the same book Evelyn was pointing to, "Blow on it!" Or was that to make the fire..bigger? Oops. |
SPOILER!!: Emmy! "O-o-o-OK," she whispered taking one more look over her shoulder at scary cookie girl. She was really going to have to think of something scarier if she didn't want bad things to happen....things that could potentially hurt. Kurumi took out her wand and practiced the wand movement while mouthing the words to the charm. No, she was pretty sure that the demon she always fought in her dreams and when she played kendo was what the boggart was going to turn into...how could she make something that brought back all those memories from childhood funny? "Emmy...," she asked in almost a whisper. "How do you make something that has haunted you for so long funny?" |
Quote:
"Golly, Kurumi... I... I don't know. What sort of thing is it? Can you tell me?" |
LMAO - Glomps on the she snakes!! Quote:
Quote:
She wished someone would put the fire out because she didn't trust herself to try right now. Book? "Don't hit me with a book." She wailed as she looked at the Slytherin girl in panic. Either she didn't know how to put the fire out or she just wanted to watch Mia burn like a candle. And then there was Destiny. Mia was just about to breathe a sigh of relief when she thought the other Slytherin girl was going to help her out. But nooooooo... Her answer was to blow on it. "For the love of Merlin do something!!" She screeched because she was about to burn alive. The funny thing was the flames actually didn't feel hot. Quote:
It brought back memories of Herbology. Only this time it was someone else who had wet her. Mia was just about to thank the younger Huffie when she decided to give her a lecture. "I'll try and remember that." She mumbled as she patted her robes down to make sure nothing was damaged. Satisfied that everything was still in tact, Mia returned her gaze to the two Slytherin girls. "Thanks so much for your help." She said a little dryly. Obviously they were just as bad as magic as she was. |
Quote:
"Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude! Are you ok?" she held out her hand to shake, hoping they could maybe be friends - eventually. |
Quote:
Evelyn seriously hoped she had misheard the girl. Did she just call her...dear? And told her to...run along? Staring at the girl with a bemused look, the Slytherin opened her mouth to reply but, she could not think of anything. What was she supposed to say to THAT!? Opening and closing her mouth as if acting like a fish, her expression slowly turned to one of horror. She could not think of a reply. Quote:
Quote:
Well yea. She just pointed. Did Destiny HEAR what she said?! Pfft. The girl was officially on the list. Officially, on the list. Shaking her head, Evelyn turned to the girl on fire and realized, she wasn't on fire anymore. That was a shame. Did she hit it with the book? No, apparently not. She was all wet. "Next time, you should save the fire." And then give it to her. She was gunna start collecting fire. AND she was going to start making it possible to do so! Somehow! Someway! |
Quote:
Kurumi fidgeting with her hands a little trying to find the courage to explain what had always been haunting her. "Well...I often dream about or imagine myself fighting something that I call my own personal demon...it is a tall figure....around it there are glowing and swirling lights..This figure is made up of faces...so many faces of those who have bullied me, tore out my hair, poured mud over me, called me horrible names...they are all there. Their eyes are watching my every movement...I can almost smell the poisonous breath coming from their open mouths..." Kurumi paused for a moment completely forgetting scary cookie hater's existence and only seeing the figure from her nightmares approaching her from underneath the moving white sheet.... |
Quote:
It would have been so much easier to blow on the fire. If Mia would have listened to Destiny, she wouldn't be all wet right now, would she? Nope. Sure, she might still be on fire, but it was the middle of winter and she'd be nice and toasty. At least Mia was NICE and thanked her! "You are welcome!" Destiny even gave her a thumbs up. A thumbs up for being alive. Quote:
That was the only explanation as to why Evelyn had that TERRIFIED expression plastered on her face. Of course, Destiny knew nothing of the two girls who her friend was arguing with. Glancing around the room, she didn't see the thing she was most terrified of, so the boggart was still in the desk.. ..that didn't explain the look on Evelyn's face. Putting on a TERRIFIED look on her own face, just for the fun of it, Destiny pointed to Mia, "We should have roasted marshmallows!" Bahahaha! |

He mirrored her body language and leaned in towards her, “You could always feign sickness. I'll take you to see the nurse.” He whispered and winked. Of course he was joking but if Cam actually agreed to it, he would SO go along with it. Except miss out the actual going to the Hospital Wing, yeah? *shudder* A ZUCCHINI! Of course. He chuckled. They had loads of funny memories – things that hadn't been funny at the time, but in retrospect, and retelling, were HILARIOUS! He fake pouted. “You loathed me? I kinda liked your fiery nature.. even if you were yelling at me.” Yep. Oliver was a strange, strange boy. Heh. “I wasn't exactly nice to you back then, was I? I'm sorry.” He smirked. Sometimes Oliver's honest and observant humour cut just a leetle bit close to the bone. He laughed opening and warmly at the image of he and Cam out for a jog. He poked fun at her the whole time. Man, he was a prat when he first transferred to Hogwarts. “Your face was a picture though, babe.” He chuckled. “Ok..” He glanced over at Carlton and back at Cam. “Reckon you can focus on something funny?” He twirled his wand in his fingers hoping to hell he could do this. Oliver had an ALMIGHTY problem when it came to focusing. |

" "Are you alright?" She asked the girl who couldn't seem to close her mouth. "Have you got something stuck in your mouth?" Say what? Save the fire? "Er...I'll remember that for next time. I just put it in my pocket for you." Cos we all know that there will be a next time. Quote:
What was going on? Destiny and the other Slytherin girl kept staring at each other. Had she missed something important? Mia snorted at Destiny's comment, "I think the taste of burning flesh may have been a slight turn off." Leaning back against her chair, Mia decided to wait for the Professor to come around, she didn't trust herself to do this spell anymore. |
Strong mind and concentration. Somehow, he wasn't sure those would be quite enough if the fear was powerful enough. Worst fear could bring even the bravest and most courageous man to his knees. And while he didn't think his fears would bring him to his knees, he was pretty sure laughter would be the last thing on his mind. Nevertheless, if the tools are available, it's best to use them. Pulling out his wand, he considered the tip before practicing the movement a few times. "Riddikulus.....Riddikulus.....Riddikulus......... ." A tight frown pulled itself across his expression, pausing his practicing to look up. "Professor, if you are in the field...or just around your everyday life, how are you supposed to tell if it is a boggart or your actual fear before you?" He was guessing that boggarts didn't introduce themselves before mirroring the fears. |
Quote:
What was that? Of course he cared about his family and friends and he was not a liar. No, he was not lying about that he did not have any fear of something. It was just that he could not think of anything that scares him. He did not know if that made him fearless but he was sure that he was not a liar like that Hufflepuff said. Quote:
Slightly annoyed Josh moved his gaze away from the professor and the Hufflepuff boy only to see Viky staring at him ''What?'' he mouthed with a smirk. Did not she believe that he could not think of anything that would scare him? hmm? While he was waiting for a reply the boy blinked a couple of times then something hit his head. Ha! A piece of parchment. Hmm. Acting quick he grabbed the parchment and read the note inside. Evelyn...what was with her? Picking up his quill he wrote a note back and threw the piece of parchment towards Viky. SPOILER!!: note |
Fee stood in the room imagining a boggart i fromt of her. What would it look like?! There were so many things she feared. Maybe her dad? Or herself as a loner?Edmond with someone else?! A spider?! And so on... She was really glad she hadnt to face a Boggart just yet. Concentraiting on the spell and making her mind free from every fear she aimed her wand at the space she imagined the boggart. Think of something funny... Goo,Fee. Oh yes, that day she had got her older brother a pig tail. Only seconds passed and Fee started laughing out loud. |
Point. Point. Point. "Rid-DI-kul-ous?.....RIdd-ikulus.....Riddikulus!........" Trying out the word, Ivory played with the different nuances she could use to say it. With an accent on the "I"? Maybe on the "us"? The second "I"? Sounding out the syllables, she prodded her wand at an invisible opponent. "Think your so tough huh?" She muttered under her breath. "Well not so tough when you're the size of a munchkin are you?!!" Of course, her fear wasn't one she felt like thinking about right now, she for all intents and purposes this was her practicing. |
Ahh I fell so behind! Evelyn gave Rae a worried look, then asked if she was alright.... Was it THAT obvious? "I'm fine... I'm just... Horrible with charms." Of course.... Destiny gave the obvious answer... Something that she's afraid of.... That didn't surprise her as an answer either. Though it was not was she was hoping to hear. Right after this some fire broke out and a girl fell over her desk, then Evelyn and Destiny were yelling about fire with a book and blowing on it... Didn't Evelyn know by now? They had to do too much with fire outside the house! After this was all over, Rae turned to Destiny... She had to practice right? Hopefully this would go well. She pointed her wand, "Riddikulus!" Then Rae clamped her eyes shut... She didn't want to know if she failed or not. |

"Hmm...perhaps he'd see himself dying, since that seemed to be what he attempted to avoid the most," she replied. "He spent much of the end of his life preventing death, so I think it'd be a good guess to say that dying would be his boggart--or, perhaps the life of Harry Potter, since he wanted to end it so badly." O_O!!! "Merlin!" Lexi exclaimed, her blonde hair flying outward as she spun around to see what in the name of Merlin had gone wrong. She had just whipped out her wand and started to make a run for it, when... Quote:
Hearing the ego comment the girl made, though, Lexi paused. She'd see to that as soon as she knew whether or not Mia was alright. "Miss Gibbins, is everything alright?" she asked. "Are you alright, or do you need the nurse?" The girl seemed to be alright, but it was best to ask anyway. "Now, Miss Frost...Miss Rose (OOC: Not sure if she knows Evelyn is going by Shepard), what's going on here?" she asked, her gaze traveling from one girl to the other. "I don't tolerate any name calling or arguing of any sort, especially not in the classroom. Now if the two of you can't stop arguing, there will be a points loss," she warned. ...Merlin! Quote:
Text Cut: LoveMePlease and Lara_The_Firelady ... O_O!!! What in Merlin's name had gotten into the students today? First, they seemed to believe it was perfectly acceptable to argue and call one another names right in the middle of a class...and right in front of their professor. Now, two Gryffindors--two from her own house--thought it to be alright to pass notes (in very plain view) in the middle of the lesson. Raising her wand, Lexi pointed it toward the flying paper, turning it into an arrow before it had a chance to get too far. The arrow-note turned itself around and bee-lined right back to Josh, landing point down right on top of his head. "Note passing? In class?" she fussed, looking at both Viky and Josh. "I suggest the two of you work on practicing your spell and save the discussions for after class. Next time, I'll deduct points." OOC to tonks2, Roselyn, LoveMePlease, and Lara_The_Firelady: Lexi's reply to you in all in good OOC fun. I'm glad you guys seem to be having a good time! ==================== "Alright, class! It's time to move on now, so head back to your seat and quieten down. If you haven't had a chance to practice, hurry and do so now, and then take a seat," she instructed. As she spoke, she wheeled the boggart-plagued desk closer to the center of the room. |
Simon sat down, he wanted too know what was going to happen next, he had been having loads of funs, he had forgot how much fun this Professor's lesson was. |
Trixie had a small practice, prounouncing quickly "Riddikulus" extremely clearly and as well as she possibly could. But the Professor had told them that it was time to stop practing and sit back down in their desks. And considering Oliver was over with Cammy, Trixie decided it best not to go invade, either end in an argument or....Well who knew really? So she sat alone. Yep Trixie Malfoy was alone. HMPH! Where were the rest of her friends eh? |
Aww. The proffessor had noticed... oh well. Viky would spend the lesson thinking and then just TELL Josh afterwards. She certainly didn't want to lose points - it wasn't like it was urgent or anything. She sat at her desk quite calmly, and resisted a giggle as the arrow-note hit Josh on the head. Hehe. Right.... practice. 'Riddikulus!' she muttered, pointing her wand at thin air, and feeling rather silly doing so, though she didn't know why. 'Riddikulus!' she said again, making sure she had the pronunciation right. And now they were moving on to the ACTUAL FREAKY BOGGART. Oh, wonderful. |

For a moment, she thought Destiny finally understood why she had such a terrified look on her face, but apparently not. Her answer was much better anyways, and Dearie Girl was long forgotten then. "And made smores." Without the chocolate that is. Carlton probably wouldn’t have enjoyed a hyper Destiny in class. Quote:
"No." she said, staring at the girl who she had no idea what her name was. Eh, actually, Evelyn had never seen her before, except in a few other classes but, not in her previous years at school that is. New perhaps? Aw now see? The girl may have been weird in the beginning, but now she was starting to be a little more on the good list in Evelyn’s opinion. "Much appreciated." Quote:
Raising a brow as she put her full attention on the professor, and quite the giggles since it probably wouldn’t be wise to be laughing at someone in front of an authority figure, Evelyn stayed rather silent until it was her turn to speak. She already knew the professor didn’t like arguing. Darn, she had forgotten just for a split moment though. It was Dearie girl’s fault though! "It’s actually…Flores-Shepard Professor." She said quietly, sitting up straight in her seat. And that was that. Maybe she should just use Shepard, instead of Flores-Shepard. So much shorter and easier to remember. Quote:
Get the boggart awaaaaaaaay from her! She didn’t want to go up against it. All of her fears, she couldn’t think of something funny to replace it. Not one thing. |

Quote:
"No problems." Mia said giving the girl a smile. Although how she was going to put fire in her pocket and not burn herself was anyone's guess. And then she had a thought which was a very rare thing for Mia. She moved a little closer to the Slytherin girl and spoke in a hushed voice. "There is a spell where you could put fire into a container and carry it around with you. But I don't know what it is. Maybe the Professor might know." Well of course the Professor would know otherwise she would be a really crappy teacher if she didn't know a spell. "I'm Mia by the way." You know in case the girl wanted to know that. Quote:
They were going to work with the boggart now. Mia was not ready for this. Even with her wand facing the right way now, she did not think she would be able to pull the charm off. She would probably set the thing on fire. Which might not be a bad thing. |
