Wait, something funny? How could a broken ankle be funny?! He turned to see who that idiot was that thought a broken ankle, and his ankle, to be precise!, was funny. He blinked a little at the sight of Marie, eyes still watery though no tear fell down. Then he had a eureka! time. Riiiight. This was only a boggart! No one's ankle was broken |
Finally Lara was able to get over her biggest fears; Mice!! She was standing with her wand aimed at the Boggart which was embodied as a Mouse as she thought of turning this ugly ,mean mouse to a stuffed, cute Bear. Yeh she thought of replacing her biggest fears with her biggest pleasures; her lovely Teddy bear that she has since Birth. After picturing it and saying the incantation, the mean mouse turned into a cute ,lovely stuffed Bear smiling at Lara and holding colorful balloons. Lara laughed loudly the bear was grinning widely at her after the mean mouse was smirking at her and making her scared, but this bear made her feel comfortable and relieved and most of all ,it made her laugh!! This was absolutely one of Lara's best moments ever!! SPOILER!!: after Riddikulus! |

Standing when Evan did she stood back as he tried to conquer his fear of a broken ankle. Really, what was so scary about that? |
Lilyana stepped up in the line, and faced the boggart... and soon to face her biggest fear of the death of people she loved. She closed her eyes, breathed deeply, and opened them, to find the boggart change into Andrew, her best friend back at home laying on the ground writing in pain and dying in front of her eyes. She stood, open-mouthed, not able to scream. She shakily raised her wand, concentrated and yelled, Riddikulus! Nothing happened. So she closed her eyes for a moment, gathered her thoughts, opened them and yelled once more Riddikulus! Immediately the boggart morphed into Andrew being tickled. Andrew always had had a funny laugh, it was so loud and boistrous, so when she heard it, she began to laugh too. She smiled, glad that she had been successful with facing the boggart. She turned and looked at Professor Carlton, smiled and turned to walk to the back of the line. |
Post 2 She was braced, ready to fire her spell at her fear, when.... POOOF! The giant clown pooped out of the Jakc in the Box, rocking backwards and forwards on its spring, doing the creepy laugh thing you hear in scary movies. Oh Merrrrrrrrlin. Everything went from Rubiey's mind. She froze, staring as if Petrified at her biggest fear. Clowns. Damnit, Rubiey, whats the spell?! Riddkulous? No. Ruddikulous? No.. Help?! |
Post 3 // And Marie // I'm not sure if it works like this... Except for big losses and serious injuries, football always made him happy and this particular situation which always occured in every match--well, maybe not in top teams' matches but most of time--always made him smile. So Evan Cartwright imagined a footballer kicking the ball out of orbit and laughed freely while he casted the magic. There, the boggart was gone! It pleased him further to see that he could manage it. Hehe. Thanks, football and "Thank you, Marie." Smile. He moved out of the way then, letting the next student go. |
She had cast the spell at the bee. It was the last thing she knew and all of a sudden the boggart transformed into a funny looking puppy in a bee costume. SPOILER!!: after Riddikulus HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!Puppys are cute, puppy in costume are funny, she laughed so hard and stepped out of the way for the other classmates. |
Post 3 Mia lowered her wand a fraction to see if the spell she had just cast had managed to work. And to her utter amazement it had! Where Zitnik the boggart had stood there was now a very cuddly and tasty looking...er...thing in a sailor suit standing in front of her. Her eyes widened just a little before a giggle burst out of her lips. She wondered what Zitnik would think of this new look. SPOILER!!: The new Zitnik "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!" Hmm he looked so squishy now and Mia was tempted to run over there and give it a hug but at the moment she was too busy giggling at the Durmstrang Headmaster's new look. Oh how she wished she had a camera right now. |
post # 3 Brittany Giggles turned into a full out laughter now. The site of the pigeon was hilarious. It had acquired a new outfit. The Boggart/pigeon looked at her confused for a moment Like it had never seen laughter before but that only made her laugh harder *snicker snicker*. She moved out the way to let the others get a chance taking one last look at the hilarious site. She was proud of her self. She had really done it |
Post #2 Iris looked at her boggart, blankly. She knew it was a boggart. It wasn't real. Aaron wasn't actually drowning. He was safe, probably still asleep, in New York. The classroom wasn't really full of water. So why couldn't she do this? Her left hand was still holding her wand, though it wasn't aimed at the boggart. No. She was just looking at the illusion of the boy, stuck in the middle of the water. Iris really missed Aaron. His face, his voice, everything. The prefect didn't know how to turn her boggart into something comical. She was stood there for a good while, just thinking whilst trying to constantly remind herself that it wasn't actually Aaron drowning. When she finally found something to chenge her boggart into, Iris closed her eyes and focused on it for a minute, then thought of a cheerful memory. She thought back to her second year, on her thirteenth birthday; when her and Aaron were in the pumpkin patch. She left out the part of the memory when Professor Lawson caught them, though. That part was just embarassing. The girl opened her eyes, and focused her wand at the boggart, whilst picturing what Aaron and the broken broomstick were going to turn into and remembering that time at the Pumpkin Patch. "Riddikulus!" When the boy didn't change, and carried on to struggle to stay above the water, Iris frowned and clenched her fists, glancing at the professor. She really hoped that she'd never have to face a boggart on her own; outside of class. She didn't think that she'd be able to cope with it. Trying the spell again, she raised her wand. Nothing. Again and again, Iris yelled the spell, but the boggart wouldn't change. Iris had started to get teary eyed, as she remembered that Aaron said he was coming home for the summer. Aaron couldn't drown because he was coming home. To visit her. Iris raised her wand, focusing on the thought of Aaron coming back from the States , as well as those times they'd shared in the Pumpkin Patch. "RIDDIKULUS!" It seemed that it worked, though, because Aaron was changing. Growing lots and lots until the boggart didn't look like Aaron anymore. |
Salander Post 2 (and i c u Grayson :)) SPOILER!!: for my own refr. He gripped his thigh as he rolled over, expecting to see it torn and bloodied. It wasnt. In fact it was perfectly fine. He could hear echoing-- was someone speaking to him? He looked up at soulful green-eyes Boggarts?" he repeated shakily at Grayson. But the gang still stood there, repeating their actions in a constant loop. He crawled away towards the wall and dragged himself up as the gang began advancing towards him. He waved his wand amongst them, not sure which to hit first, if at all. "Riddikulus" he uttered. The gang stopped dead in their tracks, looking bewildered. That gang never looked bewildered, nothing like that. It was the break that Salander needed. This was all in his head! With confidence he uttered a stronger "Riddikulus!". |
Simon wasn't sure what to expect as an outcome to his spell, his mind a mess as he tried to focus on something funny to make the boggart disappear. Not an easy task since one doesn't usually try to put one's father into such a situation. He closed his eyes momentarily as he focused opening his eyes to find at the tip of his wand his father holding a bright snowboard upright where the dooming paper had been. The image presenting an scene remembered from a family vacation when both Bennett boys had tried to get their father to let them have fun with a few muggles their age they had just met. Simon couldn't help laughing at the image since his father was usually more...uptight. The boggart hearing his chuckles disolves to lie in wait for the next person causing the Gryffindor boy to smile and move on. |
SPOILER!!: my second post At the flick of Fletcher's wand, the giant broom stopped sweeping and started shrinking, shrink shrink shrink shrinking into a tiny, child-size play broomstick with a glittery pink pony head. "HAAAAAA!" Fletcher erupted, pointing and laughing at Humphrey Broomgart as it tried to gallop around him and still scare him. "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. HA!" The boggart was successfully conquered by his laughter and Fletcher took a step back to allow whoever was next to finish him off. |
Salander Post 3 A faint whistling sound zipped from above as the gang members looked up in unison. SPLAT!!! Muddy goo started to fall from the sky in bagfuls, splattering the gang members below. Confusion rocked the boggart gang as the Slytherin lad started to laugh. He raised his wand again and cast "Riddikulus!" The mud bags were followed by sacks of feathers bursting open, raining on his tormentors, covering them as they ran around, ducking, waving their hands in the air, trying to avoid it. In no time they looked liked enormous chickens. Salander kept laughing, reminding him of how everyone looked like at the first Charms class. The chicken boggart gang ran around helter skelter, slipping, running headlong into each other and bursting, disappearing in a plume of feathers. All but one remained. The leader of the gang-- the guy who cast the dark spell and sent him to the hospital. Now he looked little more than Big Bird from Sesame street. Salander held his wand aloft and advanced towards the (chicken) boggart, pushing it back closer towards the area of the desk. With a flourish the lad waved his wand, casting the final "RIDDIKULUS!" knocking the boggart back into the desk and slamming it shut. |
Vienna nervously took her place at the front of the line she was hoping her boggart would not turn into what she feared but she knew that it would. As the door was opened she watched terrified as the boggart came out. Instantly it became a gigantic three headed cerebus with raiser sharp teeth and blood dripping from its canines it swopped down towards Vienna who stood frozen in fear |
post Three. short fail, sister is stealing computer! As his spell shot from his wand, Patroclus was so pleased to see the affects were instant. The sand that was pouring in, stopped and turned into balls of all different colours! The hard ground at his feet became slow and bouncing, so bouncing in fact that as the boy began to detach his legs from the sand-changing-balls, Patroclus began to become airbourne. Jumping Higher and higher, Patroclus realised his spell had turned the Boggart Tomb of death into a colouring joy-inspiring bouncy castle ball pit! With a smile and a huge laugh, Patroclus went into a frenzy; diving, flipping and bouncing, as the hole in the roof become wider. He had defeated the Boggart! Take that! |
Post #3 The boggart changed quite quickly. Iris watched as the boggart turned into Mr. Henry, the Giant Squid. He was holding the broomstick like a paintbrush. Then he was drawing a mustache on his face with the broom, by using what looked like algae. Niiiiiiice. The prefect chuckled, and grinned at the image; but then she sighed. Mr Henry playing with a broom scared her far less than the idea of Aaron flying right into the lake and drowning, though... So she'd kind of completed the task. Iris didn't care though. She just missed Aaron even more now. putting her wand away, she slouched off to the back of the class, so that the next person could have their go with the Boggart. Really, where did Boggarts come from? They were horrible, evil creatures. Couldn't there just be some kind of spell to destroy them permanently? |
With a wave of her wand, Lexi casted the boggart back into the desk, where she locked it away and made mental plans to completely do away with it sometime later. "Whew, now that was an adventure, yes?" she said, giving a little nervous laugh as she spoke. She'd be lying if she said the presence of the boggart hadn't affected her at all. She'd avoided looking at it for too long a period of time, afraid that it would change for her and leave her unable to tend to the children for a short period of time. She'd made sure to always be alert and ready just in case any of the students needed her. She wheeled the desk to the back of the room, and then rejoined the class. "I think you all did a wonderful job. Battling a dark creature is no easy task to take on, but I think all of you did very well despite having to face your fears head on," she said. "Class is dismissed, but before you go..." With her wand, she guided the chalk to write the homework across the board. Quote:

Fletcher was quite proud of having fought and beaten Humphrey Broomgart and his fear of heights/flying/falling/whatnot. He dusted his hands off proudly and stowed his wand away in his back pocket. Ah, now for the homework. Well that didn't look too bad. Fletcher quickly jotted it down and then nodded to the professor. "Excellent lesson, ma'am. Just a question though.... what shape would your boggart take?" He was curious. |
Lexi breathed a little sigh of relief as Professor Carlton took the desk away from them all. Rushing back to her desk she gathered her things up and as she hurried from the room she called out, "Great Lesson, Professor!" Yeah... she didn't care to hang around too much longer in that classroom for fear that the boggart would some how get loose and come scare her again. |
Dianna was still shaken with their lesson. Although she did find it fascinating and fun. Scribbling down the assignment onto a piece of parchment, Dianna gathered all her belongings and headed towards the door. "Loved the lesson Professor! Bye!" Dianna waved as she left Charms class. |
SPOILER!!: Professor PinkStreak & ChampionPuff Unusually silent, Salander turned to stare back at the desk. Consciously the Pendle Hill incident was an open and shut case for him-- he got in over his head and he lost. Period. It never occurred to him that his subconscious was still affected by it, at least enough for the boggart to reveal it to him in living color. Sighing deeply he turned back just as he overheard Fletcher's question to the Professor. The Slytherin lad paused listening for her reply.... |
Jenny gave a sigh of relief as the Professor brought the boggart away from the class. Finally! Now she can breathe again! Boggarts are nice, but...trying to defeat it took most of her energy. She needed a nap soon. Gathering her things from her desk, Jenny exclaimed, "Thanks for the lesson, Professor!" And she couldn't forget Kurumi too! Jenny gave Kurumi a little wave and said, "Thanks too, Kurumi!" before walking out the door. |
Before Vienna could react the lesson was over disappointed that she had not been able to combat her fear she thanked Professor Carlton and hurried from the room |
Kurumi bowed to the professor. "Thank you very much for today's lesson," she said blushing slightly. "It helped me more than just with my magic." She bowed one more time to the professor before gathering up her things and heading towards the door. She ran into Jenny along the way and gave her another high five before leaving the classroom. Yet another awesome class at Hogwarts done! |
