Brittany took her seat and waited for the professor |
Nessa sat down she was sure she had practiced enough. |
Wow. RL is killing me Point, incantation and concentration. That's all it took? Somehow Patroclus thought he was going to struggle with the focus part, especially considering the spell sounded so funny....maybe that would help, in a round about way. Unholstering his wand, Patroclus pointed in the general direction of the Boggart, the one still in the desk, and cleared his throat. "Rid-dik-u-lous", with a smile smirk on his face, Patroclus tried again . He needed to find the word less funny! "Riddikulous!" Listening to the lovely Professor, he heard it was time to sit and move on.....which meant one thing. It's Boggart Time! |
EEEEP! Kurumi rushed back to her seat far away from cookie hater and watched the boggart table and sheet with great interest and curiosity. |
Dianna went back to her seat and waited for the professor's next instructions. |
Text Cut: Replies to Macavity, Roselyn, and aussiegirl "As I mentioned before," Lexi said, her gaze traveling across the classroom, "we're all going to have a chance to encounter the boggart inside the desk. You'll need to form a line beginning here...and ending there." As she said that, she tapped an area of the floor near the desk to indicate the start of the line, and she pointed to the door to indicate the end of the line. "When it's your turn to face the boggart, I'll release him from the desk, and you'll cast Riddikulus to transform it into whatever it is that makes you laugh. Remember to concentrate deeply on pushing past your fears and turning the situation into a funny one rather than a fearful one," she instructed. She placed her hand on the knob of the top desk drawer, ready to open it. "Go ahead and form the line now." She paused then added, "...and I'll be standing right here if you need me." ==================== OOC Instructions: -Each person will need at least three posts in order to receive full credit. When you're ready, just begin as if your character is in the front of the line and Lexi has released the boggart for them. - In your first post, roleplay the boggart coming out and transforming into whatever your character's greatest fear is. - In a separate post, roleplay your character casting the spell. - In another separate post, roleplay the result of your casting (i.e. the boggart transforming into something that makes your character laugh). - Feel free to post more than three times and/or to interact with others. - If you post pictures, please make sure they aren't HUGE and that they follow SS rules. Speaking of SS rules, please remember not to use blood, gore, violence, or weapons in your posts. - Class will close Sunday night (October 10) at 8 PM EST - Have fun! |
Lexi stepped forward, wand gripped tightly as the boggart was released. Oh my Merlin! Squaring her shoulders Lexi gritted her teeth as the boggart came toward her and began to morph into the most utterly terrifying thing she could imagine... Monstrath, her birth families house elf. The elf was old and hairy and looked like it was on it's last leg, but it didn't hesitate to sneer at Lexi and come running forward, poised to attack her at any moment. Letting out a little EEP Lexi raised her wand tentatively. |
Jenny began shaking violently as she stood in line, waiting for the boggart to come out. Oh, what was she supposed to do??? More practice would have been better... All too soon, the Professor opened the drawer. At first, nothing appeared. "What..." Jenny squinted her eyes as she tried to look for the boggart. But then, the air started to twirl. It kept twirling and twirling until...of course. A huge giant golden wasp popped right in front of her. Jenny cringed violently. A wasp?? Out of all fears she had to have, why a wasp? Ever since she got stung when she was little, Jenny tried to avoid wasps (and bees, although they pretty much ignored her). Those things hurt worse than the Crucio spell! Jenny put her wand to her lip as she tried to think of a happy thought. A really happy thought. Quickly. The giant wasp might sting her at any minute. |
Lexi took a deep breath through her teeth so it made a little hissing sound as she steeled herself and shakily said, "R-R-Riddikulusssss!" Taking a steadying breath she felt her body relax from head to foot and she said in a much stronger tone, "Riddikulus!" as she pointed her wand at the decrepit house elf!boggart. Take that you nasty creature! |
Fee stepped forward nervously. She didnt know what the boggart would look like. Too many things to fear. Closing her eyes to prepare she stepped riggt in front of the boggart. Opening her eyes again she saw a huge acrumantula. Keep calm Fee... |
boggarts beware! the halfies are here! Quote:
Kurumi jumped out of the single file line and stood next to Jenny with her wand at the ready. Just then , the wasp took notice of Kurumi and seemed to pierce into her very soul by means of her quivering violet eyes. The wasp began to vibrate violently and then twirl like a spinning top. With a loud popping noise, the boggart's form had changed into one of Kurumi's nightmares. Stinking and almost poisonous breath, countless faces on a monstrous body that had the head of something that only slightly resembled a dog...the demon from her dreams and visualization practices was standing right there in front of her. SPOILER!!: Kurumi's demon Kurumi swallowed hard. How was she going to make this one funny... |
Fee was still a little captured by the boggarts presence. After several moments she finally took out her wand. Remember the spell, Remember the spell Fee. "Ridikkulus", she said and aimed her wand at the boggart. "Riiiidiiiiikkuuuluuuus!" |

Quickly, Jenny raised her wand and tried to think back to the time when her father would watch Japanese anime all day. She immediately thought of Naruto (her father's favorite anime), down to a certain character who uses the power of youth too much. Jenny raised her wand at the...thing. "Riddikulus!" she yelled. Hopefully it worked. |
Fee stood with her wand and the spell on her lips in front of the acrumantula. No boggart. Again she closed her eyes for a moment but this time to think of something funny. As she opened her eyes again she saw the boggart with a clown's nose and roler blades. Haha. Fee started laughing out loud. This looked just to funny how the boggart try to move but couldnt. |

Kurumi swallowed and took out her wand and with as much courage as she could muster shouted, "Riddikulus!" The faces on the monster now had big bushy eyebrows that were made out of - Kurumi squinted - sheets of seaweed? That was pretty funny. The boggart turned back to Jenny and began shifting back into a wasp... |
Lexi blinked a few times as the house elf was suddenly being chased by a charmed broom |
post#1-For my reference Daisy walked to the front of the line and oh boy was she scared. As Professor Carlton let out the boggart the room around her went pitch black. She closed her eyes as she heard the laughing of the little red demons that had been haunting her nightmares for quiet some time. They had red horns and were red all over. The teeth had fangs and their eyes were blood red. She wanted to screech and scream and turn running. |
Standing at the line, there wasn't much Annie could do. She was going to have to face her boggart, her terror, her worst nightmare. Soon, the professor released the boggart, and it began transforming into this gigantic girl, glaring at Annie and holding a soccer ball in her hands. Right, that was the thing Annie had been avoiding all her life, tall girls, tough girls, even tougher than her that could break whatever bones were left to be broken in her body. And as for the moment, the fear increased, since it was Annie's year of tough choices, things she had to let go and things she had to think though, like that contract she was getting to play for PRO SUB-18 Girls' team, which meant nothing should happen to her physically for the next...12 months, maybe? And that's why of the fear. Annie actually was avoiding playing soccer, or doing any physical exercise this past couple of months due to the stress of the moment. UGH, maaaaaaaaaan!! |

Jenny thought of another happy cartoon. This time it was a bunch of yellow people and one large man who loved donuts very much... "Riddikulus!" Jenny yelled. Quickly the wasp turned into a live drawing of Bart Simpson holding a bitten chocolate donut while being chased down by another live drawing of Homer Simpson. Jenny laughed. Muggle cartoons are always so interesting. Quickly the two Simpsons disappeared quickly as soon as they reached Kurumi. Uh oh... |

ヾ(*´・∀・`*)ノ The monster thing was now no bigger than a large dog and was not nearly as scary as it had been before. It turned its attention back to Jenny and began sprouting wasp wings - which looked pretty ridiculous already since the thing was still covered in clown noses. "Jenny! We've almost got it!" |
Standing in the line with his fellow classmates, Simonwasn't too sure what his greatest fear was. Sure he had some commons ones that others like fear of death or something happening to a loved one but which would be the one to freeze him in his tracks. Finally it was his turn at the front of the line, his wand out at his side and slighly raised as Professor Carlton opened the desk drawer. When the boggart appeared before him it almost seemed to hesitate as if debating what form to take. At least it was a person until it finally materialized into his father. A disapproving look upon his face as he held up what look to be Simon's own grades all reading failures. The scene made Simon swallow for he had always been fearful of being a disappoimtment and of not living up to his older brother and family. |

As the professor announced to take seatd Lara sat down very excited when the Boggart would be braught, Although she was worried about handeling it ,but wanted to give it a try... |

All of a sudden, the thing (Jenny couldn't even tell what that was anymore) started spinning around and doing ninja moves enthusiastically. Then it jumped up and down and played rock-paper-scissors with itself. Could this be the boggart's impression of Rock Lee??? "Hey, it's getting better!" She smiled at Kurumi. Yep, this was going to be fun after all. |
rock for the win! Quote:
Kurumi lowered her wand slightly and laughed with Jenny. "Rock...Paper...Scissors!" Kurumi threw out her hand in a tight fist whereas the tiny little boggart throw out scissors. "I win!" Aw, the tiny little thing looked sad and started squeaking while jumping up and down. Kurumi took out her wand one last time and was hardly able to say, "Riddikulus!" though her giggles. The boggart turned into a tiny little brown mouse who then stood up on its hind legs and looked back and forth between Jenny and Kurumi. |
Should we stop now? XD Quote:
Uh oh. The mouse hissed at Jenny as its eyes grew bigger and its skin turned yellowish. Quick! Quick! Jenny thought as she tried to think of another thing her father liked. She quickly switched to video games. "Riddikulus!!!!!" Jenny yelled as hard as she could. Quickly the mouse-wasp thing stopped transforming and it instead became a cute little mushroom. Those kinds of mushrooms found in those Muggle games called "Mario" with the colorful black-mustached Italian guy. Jenny giggled as the mushroom did its weird little walk. All of a sudden the Mario theme song played from out of nowhere. Now that was super funny! (And the mushroom shrank even more...) |
