'Mmm, I guess so' Viky said absently, looking at Simon again. Though, those jeans did look great on him... eh? What on EARTH was she thinking about? RANDOMM. |

She turned her head to see who it was. "Ciao,Addy", Fee said in her best fake italian accent. |

"I don't know either but weird would better fit the underwater class we had last year," the gryffindor mentioned. "Now that was interesting yet fun all around." |
Rubiey walked through the door of charms, feeling abit stupid in her cowgirl outfit, but not as idiotic as if she was the only one. Others must feel the same, and that idea made her feel slightly better. "Hello, Professor Carlton" Rubiey smiled and took a seat by the window, practically bouncing in anticipation. |
Being a half blood really rocks sometimes. Jaxon was wearing the finest cowboy clothes he could get. He fixed his pants and looked at his black cowboy boots, and then smiled. He passed his hands through his checkered long-sleeved shirt. He also checked his black cowboy hat and arranged his sunglasses. Before entering the Charms Classroom, he managed to slip to the lavatory to check himself to a mirror. He looks good. Upon entering the classroom, and seeing the lots of students, he directly went to the front of the classroom and sit near the teacher's table. He smiled and said, "Howdy, Professor!" he said trying to imitate a wild western accent. |
Ellie walked into the clasroom. She liked charms. It was one of those subjects where you learned something, and got to use it and have fun with it. And it involved the use of magic. Which, she liked to practice. Because it was just so fun. She looked around for Professor Carlton...but didn't see her. Maybe she'd be making some dramatic appearance? Yeahhhh... So, she took a seat, and whipped her wand out. Readyyy. |

'Underwater class?! No way! That sounds so cool!' Viky said with a grin. She wished she'd been there for that... it sounded like an awesome lesson. 'How do you even have a lesson underwater, anywaaay?' |

"Very cool," he admitted agreeing with his friend and remembering the day in question. "With the bubble-head charm of course," Simon answered with a chuckle. |
Ty did not own ANY item of clothing that could qualify as "cowboy"ish. In fact, the thirteen year old had been SO scared by that announcement, he had almost decided not to come to the lesson. Only around ten minutes ago did he decide that not attending would be stupid - after all, just HOW weird could it be, really? Hmm. Walking in, Ty blinked at all the cowboy hats in the room. WEEEIIIRRRDDD. Making his way to a window, he couldn't help but laugh as he spotted Lo in all her pink gloriness. As he unceremoniously threw down his bag on the floor, he waved with a grin to his adoptive sister - who, by the way, shone like a LIGHTHOUSE in the classroom with all her bright clothes - and took his seat. ... Where was Professor Carlton? |

"Ruubs", come sit with me", she smiled patting the othger free seat nest to her. |
Alex walked into the Charms Classroom not knowing what to expect, she didn't have any cowgirl attire at all, she rarely went out into the muggle world.. although the rarely was more like a never. Alexandrie took a seat in her usual spot from last year and glanced around not seeing the Professor but instead Alex focused on wondering what this lesson was about. |
Shannonnnnn & Jess? <3333 Sarah was looking forward to this. Now often she got to wear all her cowgirl gear at once with looking like a plonker. Usually it was one at a time - but this lesson was asking them to wear it. Oh happy days. Unfortunately she'd left her boots at home, so had to get her mum to owl them to her. A task that had laid poor Screech low for a couple of days with aching wings. But here she was, beaming from ear to ear, entering the classroom dressed in her black boots, Hufflepuff inspired shirt and blue denim jeans. Sadly minus the hat. She didn't own one of those... Maybe Professor Carlton did? With a "Yeee Haaaa!" Sarah sidestepped over to where Lori and the Slytherin Prefect "Good day Professor Carlton!" She called out towards the open door at the back, assuming that was where their teacher was. Sitting down just behind Lori, she poked her in the back and grinned at the Slythie Grin. |

'Oh. Well, that makes sense' Viky said, mentally kicking herself for no thinking of that. Now she probably looked like an idiot. Whyyyyyy? And she found that she couldn't stop looking at Simon today as well, which confused her. A LOT. |
Riley walked into the Charms classroom prepared to die of embaressment for being caught dead in 'cowboy' attire. He would never ever do this by choice but it suggested it for the lesson and he really liked earning points so he was kind of obligated to dress hainously. The Gyrffindor walked in with a cowboy hat on his head, a bandana around his neck and brown leather cowboy boots with his blue jeans tucked into them. He spoke a hello to the professor he wasn't really sure was present and then sat down next to a HUFFLEPUFF with a shiney badge. |
Evan, having tried to conjure a cowboy hat but failed very disgracefully, got in the classroom without any kind of required clothes, except for his trainers, which, he suspected highly, would be replaced with a cowboy shoe soon. He really wondered what this class will turn out to be. Finding a place somewhere in the middle--as always--he waited for the class to begin. |
Merlin! The Lambert girl had taken a plunge to the ground just outside the greenhouses sometime earlier, causing Lexi to nearly be late for her very first Charms lesson of the year! Perfect, Carlton. Way to nearly not make a good first impression. She hurried down the hallway, high heels click-clacking all the way, and came to a stop just in front of the classroom door. She hadn't had time to change into any cowgirl attire---yet, but she could always do that later in the lesson. She had, however, freshly highlighted her hair, which meant that her signature pink streaks were back...and that made her pretty happy indeed. She opened the door and strolled casually into class, giving her students a pleasant expression as she did so. ...and why was the door to the supply closet open, hmm? She guessed he'd left it like that when she'd been rummaging around for extra cowboy hats a few hours earlier. Yes, Carlton kept cowboy hats in her closet. Random other things, too, as she used them to practice a wide assortment of charms she'd likely one day use in class. She raised her wand and silently casted a spell that slammed the closet door shut. There now. All looked in order and ready to go. Oh, and look at that! Conrad and Farley even showed up wearing pink! A couple of others, too! She casted all of them an extra wide smile, then...oh---Bristol had fairy wings! She thought about asking those students if she could borrow their attire later on in the class, but...ahh, she'd stick to the ordinary costumes stored away in the room. "Well, welcome to the first Charms lesson of the year. For those of you who don't know me, I'm Professor Carlton, obviously the Charms professor. Go ahead and take a seat, so we can get started," she said. She placed her handbag in an area just behind her desk then turned back to the students, pausing for just a moment to allow them time to settle down and get ready to learn. "Mmkay, what can you tell me about the Hover Charm, hmm?" she asked, glancing around the room. "I realize this is a basic charm, but we often times use basic charms, put new spins on them, and come up with something completely out of the ordinary." Which was she planned for them to do today. "...but what's the basic information I need to know in order to cast this charm...this is especially helpful information for our first years." |

Viky thought for a moment, and then slowly raised her hand 'Proffessor, the Hover Charm is a simple charm used - as one might expect from the name - to levitate things. It's wand movement is a swish and flick, and the incantation is Wingardium Leviosa' hehe. she wasn't all that smart, but she did know SOME things. Like simple first year charms, for example. But she definitely needed to work on them, she wasn't that great of a spell caster... Looking up at the Proffessor, she couldn't help but smile at the hair. Pink highlights on a teacher? Not something you'd EVER see at Durmstrang. But it was pretty cool 'And Proffessor? I like your hair' she said, giving her a smile. She wasn't a huge fan of pink, but it did look nice. Not that she'd ever get highlights - they'd look silly. Stupid red hair. Pfft. |
OKAY. Hover charm. Hmm. Raising his hand, Ty attempted to answer. "It makes objects fly, Professor. And, erm, the incantation is Wingardium Leviosa," he said, grinning as he noticed that Professor Carlton's hair was, in fact, streaked with PINK. Apparently Lo knew what was "in" these days. Hehe. |
Wow. Evan had to admit the professor's pink in the yellow looked really nice on her, and even made her look younger. These professors knew how to dress and look beautiful. Ahem. Back to the lesson. Raising his hand, he answered the question "It's used for floating objects in air," he said the obvious, which could easily be interpreted from the name. Oh well. He preferred Levitation Charm anyway. |
Rex has his big ten gallon hat on his head and his cowboy boots Rex wears thse things a lot around the school.. Rex raised his hand. " The hover charm hovers above you. |

As the first question was posed to the class, she raised her hand along with the others. "Hover charms are used to make things hover in midair. Which might be the same as Wingardium Leviosa, but that more accurately makes things levitate," she said, before continuing. It was a subtle difference, in her opinion. "And Hover charms are used by house elves sometimes. Harry Potter got in trouble with the Ministry that one time because Dobby had cast a Hover charm in his aunt and uncle's house." Okay, now she was stopping. Til the next question. |

Keefer raised both of his hands into the air, almost as if levitated by the very Hover Charm they were discussing. "The Hover Charm's incantation is Wingardium Leviosa, Professor. And from personal experience, I can say that it is best to be looking at the object you wish to levitate. Otherwise, you may lose concentration or get distracted so that you actually make something else go flying up in the air." His mother had been most unhappy to find her best china suddenly in peril. The distant crashes of falling china echoed through the years as Keefer reminisced. |
Oh. Hah. Theeere she was. Wasn't much of an entrance.... Ellie shrugged it off. Maybe she'd suggest an entrance for the next lesson. Just the idea, though. Because she'd want to be surprised. Okay, lesson now. Hover charm? Wingardium leviosa, perhaps? She put her hand up. It was worth a try. "It's used to levitate things." See, that's what she knew it as. But she supposed hovering and levitating were almost the same thing. Almost. "You give your wand a swish and a flick and you say 'Wingardium leviosa'. Pronounciation's important." It was. "And you need to keep your concentration of the object and spell. Otherwise it will fall and make a mess of everything." Yup. |
