Benches Beside the Hut (post here FIRST for hut)

Need to speak to Mr. Masterson? He's probably busy with another student or professor, so why don't you take a seat on the bench while you wait? He'll come and get you when it's your turn. Sit tight!

Shanners 09-03-2010 01:18 PM

Lori had cookies.

Wait -- did Mr. Masterson like cookies? If not, she could totally eat them. Hehe.

With her basket tucked in the crook of her elbow, and the treat boxes stuffed in there, Lorelai just took a seat on the bench outside the hut. [The hut that totally could do with being painted yellow, or just some glitter. She'd mention that actually.] From her seat, she could totally see why her Head of House had stuck around, and stayed in this hut for so long, the view was nice. Peaceful here too.

Maybe she could camp out on the bench one night.

Mr. Masterson motioned for his new prefect, Miss Bristol, to enter his hut.

B~Lee 09-04-2010 06:52 PM

Brittany Nervously walked out to her head of house hut. She hadnt gotten the pleasure of meeting him at the feast. Well that is she was to afraid to approach him at the feast but anywho.... She finally made it to the front door. "take a deep breath and just knock Brittany. He'll love you." she thought to herself. Awww who was she kidding she'll probably make a fool of herself. But she wanted his approval because even though she was a first year she had ambition to become a prefect when she was old enough. She knocked softly three times and waited nervously. And you could see the nervousness written all over her face.

ooc: oh sorry

Over the summer, there had been two things on Katie's mind that she knew she would be doing as soon as she had returned to school and those things were: to visit Professor Shackleton-Clark, and to visit Mister Masterson.

Wandering down to Masterson's hut, the Hufflepuff's attention drifted toward another young girl waiting at their Head of House's door, seeming rather nervous by the way she held herself and the expression she wore, if Katie wasn't mistaken. A small smile playing on her lips, she said quietly, "He's nice, don't worry." in hopes of offering the girl a bit of encouragement, the fifth year took a seat at one end of the bench to wait.

Brittany was so nervous that she hadnt even heard theolder Hufflepuff approach. She almost jumped out of her shoes. With a very much need sigh of relief she turns toward the new comer. "Im sorry i didnt hear you come up... is it that apparent im nervous?" she asked a little embarrassed that it showed that easily

Josey decided that she wanted to visit Mr. Masterson. Because he was pretty awesome, and because he was the head of Hufflpuff, her house, the best house! :D Anywho...She was wearing a sweatshirt with biiiiiiiiiiiiiig pockets on under her school robes that she had to wear. And the pockets were both fiiiiiiiiiiilllled with...CANDY! Truffles, to be exact. The BEST chocolate you would ever get to eat. So she would share it with Mr. Masterson, and perhaps some other teachers..... Ya, Josey would share with her teahcers and some people. But her choclate was very special to her....she couldn't buy it in Hogsmeade, she could only buy it in Muggle stores. So she could have no more until Christmas break. They would have to last;;;;; but Josey knew they would only last for maybe to weeks. A month maaaaaybe...but probably not that long. She LOVED her chocolate.

She saw a smallerish person sitting on the bench so she decided to go say hi. "Hello!" She was tempted top ask if she was a firstie, because she looked like a firstie. But she didn't. 'Cause it would be akward if she was not a firstie. "I'm Josey Flow. Second year Hufflepuff. And you are....? She held out her hand for the girl to shake.

Lockhartian 09-07-2010 04:12 PM

Because perhaps Mr. Masterson had an answer?

Treyen walked towards the Hut and took a seat on the bench, playing with his hands, as he waited for Mr. Masterson to allow him inside.

Oh, and yes, he knocked on the door before sitting down.

Noticing the young badger jump when she spoke, Katie couldn't help from wonder if it was just nerves and she had startled her or if the girl was usually that skittish. "No worries," she assured, shaking her head ever so slightly, "Not too obvious. Just.. a little bit. But that's kind of to be expected, you're a Firstie." And in her experience first years were usually either really quiet and shy, or really loud and outgoing.

Clearly Katie was passing this little Puff off as the first, and that wasn't a bad thing.

"Like I said, you shouldn't worry. Mister Masterson is a cool Head of House," the brunette added, smiling slightly to the pair of younger Hufflepuffs that had just arrived.

This entrance ddint startle as much so she smiled Brightly at the girl. She loved meeting new people... as long as they didnt sneak up on her hehe. "Hi Josey its nice to meet you." she said shaking the girls hand. "Im Brittany Lee First year Hufflepuff." she wandered how many time she had already aid that this year.

Well that made Brittany feel a little better. he smiled at the older hufflepuff. "Thanks for your words of encouragement it calmed me down alot." she said sincerely. She then relax a little and even began to look a little less nervous... just a little

Preston looked at his scratched up and bloody hands from his latest fall that happened just mere minutes ago. He realized he was closet to the grounds keeper's hut. He gave a sigh as he sat on the bench. Surely the Professor was able to help him, bandage him up and send him on the way back up to the castle. Preston just didn't want to make a mess in the castle. He wondered where Torin would be at that exact moment if he were at Hogwarts, Preston would've gone to find him for help.

Constantine's head poked around the corner again. "Miss Lee? You're next."

He turned back around to go back inside, only to find him self confronted by the paper tacked to his door again. With an eyebrow raise, he reached out and tore it down as he walked past, making a note to chuck it into the garbage. The kid that wrote this better hope he didn't leave holes in Masterson's door...

ooc: post in hut thread. ;)

Rhea still hadn't like officially met her Head of House and it was her last year! It was such a shame, everyone went on about how nice he was but she just had to see for herself, so she made her way down to his hut and knocked on the door then took a seat on the bench and waited.

Pleased the younger Puff seemed to feel a little bit better before she had gone inside, Katie had kept herself busy with a notebook and pencil (from muggle studies), stuffing both back into her bag when she heard Masterson's voice not too long afterward and made her way up to the door.

Salander shot the hedge another alarmed look when Melanie firmly held onto the belief that Fletcher wasnt dead. Then she began to tug at his arm leading him away from the Treehouse. Without any resistance he followed her "Ok. Uh.... whose Masterson?"

Shooot, Salander, shuddup! Don't give away my hiding spot! I AM NOT A TALKING BUSH!!!!! Fletcher thought furiously. He could have kicked himself for starting this whole 'play dead' act to begin with.

But wait, were they really leaving now and going to see.... Masterson?! The Groundskeeper and his Head of House? Sure the guy was cool and all, but Fletcher didn't really... want to get in trouble for a harmless joke....

Gulp.

Common sense told the boy that now was the opportune time to back away. Now would have been the perfect opportunity to run, run, run up to the castle and find a tall tower to hide in for when Melanie eventually found out about their prank. But his curiosity got the best of him (OF COURSE) and instead of sneaking away, Fletcher waited until his friends were well on their way toward Masterson's hut before sneaking out of the bush and following them at a safe distance.

They had better act real torn up about his death in front of the Groundskeeper.

"That's silly though! I'm- I'm... I'm almost positive they're supposed to float."
Only now she wasn't. Thanks Salander. "It's worth checking out though, right?" UGHHHH. What if he was dead and she was wrong? Then they would just be coming here to ask Mr. Materson to fetch their dead friend's body out of the lake...

Back to crazy talk with Salander. He was really going to argue with her over this? Really? Kinda scared by the level of crazy she was witnessing, Melanie gave his hand a little pat. "...Whatever you say." His analogies weren't that bad, but Melanie did not believe the Force was present at Hogwarts. It was a nice notion, though.

She led him toward the hut, walking quickly, with purpose. "He's the Groundskeeper and Hufflepuff Head of House." she answered simply, eying the benches anxiously. She bit her lip, glancing over at Salander. She really didn't want to sit and wait, when Fletcher could be drowning.

So, Melanie gave the door to the hut a good hard knock, before leaning back and waiting on him to answer. At the moment, she was too antsy take a seat.

Pulled by Melanie, Salander found himself in an area were a cozy hut stood. It only occurred to him then that property as large as Hogwarts would have a Groundskeeper. After all, who would be looking after the Treehouse, or the Whomping Willow for that matter?

Whomping Willow. cue idea excuse. It attacked me. I was merely defending myself. Yeah that sounded right. Unless the Willow could talk, then all bets are off.

But it was Melanie's last words that caused Salander to stop dead in his tracks "H-Hufflepuff Head of House?!? This guy?" That would make him part of The Faculty. And who was it that was supposed to be dead but not dead? A certain Hufflepuff Champion. And who is he following to possible imminent doom? An upset, and possibly very violent, Hufflepuff student (who after all pushed someone out of the treehouse)

How did this Slytherin find himself in this situation? All he asked was dude-are-you-ok?

This isnt looking good in Salander's head. The lone Snake entering Badger territory. His imagination went into overdrive as he struggled to find excuses for each of them. Perjury! Murder! Conspiracy!

He felt that his legs should be running away from the hut instead of planting themselves in front of it. As he looked around for a place to hide-- or at least barricade himself from the onslaught of angry Badgers-- his eyes rests on the last thing he expected to find on school grounds....

a Dog House. So there is a BIG Dog on Hogwarts.

With Melanie there, he might as well sign a confession.

Following the Hufflepuff and the Slytherin at a safe distance, Fletcher darted from shrub to shrub, bush to bush, and then, finally, to Masterson's doghouse. Er, not his doghouse, where he lived, but where his dog resided.

And possibly where he threw rotten Hufflepuffs who played mean pranks on their friends and pretended to be dead. Maybe. Hopefully not.

Fletcher balled his shaking hands up into tight fists and peeked around the corner of the doghouse, making sure that Salander wasn't trying to run away or Melanie wasn't still crying. Okay. Good. Maybe they could all get off just fine with this prank, yeah maybe!

.................

Or maybe he really should go throw himself in the lake and actually drown. Sure would save Melanie the task of killing him when she found out he was really alive.

YES! Rae was basically skipping, but not, Rae didn't skip across the grounds. She was just glad that she wasn't injured in some way by that lady. Now she was starting to like her, dear dear Professor Lafay.. For as HoH she passed along permission to Rae but only with a talk with.. This guy. The sixteen year old didn't really know who he was... But she had a good feeling she would be fine, she got past Welton and THEN Lafay... So, this would be simple right?

Knocking on the door and then sitting on the benches outside waiting to be called in Rae was feeling good. This would be........ Extraordinary.
