Scooting her feet around, just so she herself wouldn't step on her wand (otherwise she'd have to hate herself, and she really didn't want to), the Slytherin kept her ears open for anything that may sound like a piece of wood cluttering around. But, it was kinda hard. Whoever this person was, was breathing really loud. Was their nose stuffed up or something? Hearing that whoever it was had it, Evelyn made the grabby hands gesture and tried to figure out where it was being held. HUZZAH! It was now it it's rightful owner's hand! Smirking, she held it close as if it were a stuffed teddy bear before turning her head to whoever just spoke...a giant scoff escaping her. "Stop haunting me!" As if on queue though, she spoke the spell right as the other person did. "Lumos." ....Destiny? And what was behind her? |

But then he called to her. "Whatt?" She had just sat dowwwwn. And had found herself in a much worse mood than she had been, even just before. Grudgingly, she got up and walked to him and... the body of Jacob. Quote:
Then Professor Hadley was freaking out in a most amusing way. I mean, it was Jacob. It wasn't surprising. Not to her, at least. "Do you want me to take him to the healer or something?" she asked in her most concerned voice. Maybe... she'd get out of class... out of the maze... "Please." |

The dead person had MAN hands and they used that man hand grip of theirs to rip the wand right out of Destiny's UNDEAD hands. Eeeesh! They didn't even have the decency to thank her. Scoffing at their lack of manners and heartbeat she wiped the hand that held the dead persons wand off on her robes. The wand was probably cursed to kill whoever touched it. That sounded like something Evelyn would do. "I am not haunting you." she said, making a jabbing motion with her wand. "I'd have to be dead to do that, and I am very much alive." Yes. Destiny was very proud of her alive..ness. But when the light came from the dead person's wand, Destiny was sure she was dead. She had watched the muggle box enough times to know that going into the light was the wrong thing to do. With her wand hand raised, and with another quiet 'Lumos', since it had not worked the first time, she slowly backed away, trying to avoid the light at all cost. Don't go into the light "Evelyn! There is a HUGE number TWO behind you!" And yeah, she had totally scared away the dead person.. |
Patroclus heard screams and saw a flash of red fill the sky above the maze. It was an understatement to say that the boy took this as a sign to panic, What does Hadley have in here? Patroclus questioned to himself as he began to run. Turning a corner, then another Patroclus had lost all orientation. The walls were the same, nothing could tell him if he had been there before, so he just continued to run, winding in and out of maze sections, until he hit a dead end. Turning to head the wa he had came, Patroclus was shocked to see there was now a wall there, he was trapped in a box. Appearing on the wall beside him was a stack of wood and note, both that had not been there moments before. Quote:
Breathing deep, the boy poketed his wand, and sat down starring at the wood. Getting up he laid them all out. Sitting back down he looked at them again. Without my wand? On an impluse the boy, dragged five away, and threw them at the wall. Nothing. An idea came to him. Dragging the wood over, he placed them in arrangment, and to his great pleasure the wall crumbled. |
Catching Up :D Freya took the peppermint chocolates from the Professor. 'Peppermint chocolates??Great. I never been a great fans of chocolates. Well at least it has peppermint on it.' she thought. Suddenly she was surrounded by walls and she heard Professor Hadley said about being out of the maze. "Maze??Great." she mumbled. She looked around debating where should she go. Then she decided to go to her right. "Okay here we go." she went deeper to the maze and it getting dark."Lumos" and the light come out from the tip of her wand. |

GAH! Blinking rapidly, the Slytherin stumbled back, having been blinded for a moment from the sudden light. However, she didn't get far. Feeling her back hit something, the hazel eyed girl stumbled to a pause and stood quite still. A giant two behind her? Raising a brow, Evelyn slowly raised her own lit wand and turned around, looking up to the... Giant...two. Holy Merlin that thing was HUGE! What was even worse was the fact that it was hovering over her in that scary, hover-ish, way. Destiny wasn't kidding when she said how huge it was. "Run..." she muttered, taking steps back and bumping into Destiny. Move! They needed to run! It was going to lay on them and squish them or something! Fail for not remembering what the professor told them to do. Turning around to face the other way, she was finally close enough to the shadow-y object behind Destiny when her light flashed on it. Omg... "We're trapped!" There was a MASSIVE 7 in the way! |
Quote:
Her thought process stopped as Evelyn yelled run and bumped into her, and she would have run, really, but as she turned around towards the exit, she came face to..not face with a number seven just as big as the number two! "THEY ARE GOING TO EAT US!" Sure they had no face, but these were MAGIC numbers. They would find a way to eat them. Ehhh, she really should have paid attention in class instead of day-dreaming Not knowing which number was scarier, but she did know that the seven reminded her of that Muggle Studies class where they learned about the walnut cracker. That scary, dangerous muggle tool. Turning back to face the slightly less scary number two, Destiny wrapped her arms around Evelyn, "We're going to DIE!" And while in that hug, she had missed the fact that the HUGE number two was now..gone. |
SPOILER!!: quoteses Salander took a small piece of the peppermint chocolate as he listened to the Professor, then hastily grabbed his things just as the Professor flicked her wand, sending lights flickering and walls appearing from nowhere "Oh great, another maze? This time something we have to get out of?.... " He didnt mind hitting stuff, but Salander wasnt exactly the kind of dude blessed with an internal GPS. He felt someone grabbed his arm, and turned his head to look at... Rae! Well at least he has someone to get lost with. He raised his brows as Rae got all flustered then let go of his arm. "Uhm... hey 'is cool." he shrugged. They continued down the path and rounded a corner. There they were greeted by a gigantic pair of columns, forming the roman numeral II. "Huh two columns?" he muttered as he clambered up the base and tried to squeeze himself between the spaces. No luck. The spaces were actually an invisible wall which wouldnt let anyone through. He jumped back down and looked at Rae. "Now what?" |

Blink. The sweet was nice, the being trapped in a maze thing wasn't her most favourite thing to-do ever. She sighed and wandered through the maze. Dizziness filled her while she wandered through the place. Then Bonnie came across a crossroad. Two roads. She couldn't figure out which one to chose. She couldn't see the end of either one. Biting her lip she closed her eyes. Number two is balance...so they should join together either way. Bonnie grinned and took the right path. And soon, the paths did join. Woah. This was fun. |

No big deal. Holding her wand tighter, she held it up a little higher as she glanced at both of them, though low enough where the light wouldn’t blind her. Running the information through her mind on the two numbers, the only thing she could remember was that two was associated with harmony and unity, and seven was associated with intelligence and…analysis? Was that it? Gah! Next time she was not going to get distracted before taking note of everything being said, including the instructions. O___O What in Merlin’s polka dot pants was Destiny doing?... "Get off meee." she whined, trying to get out of her friends death grip hug. Get…OFF! Ehhhhh! Finally prying herself away, the Slytherin had enough. She wanted out of here! If Destiny was going to get all huggy on her, then she was leaving! "Listen seven! I suggest you move out of the way RIGHT NOW or else I will not be afraid to use the spell that Alberta Toothill used to defeat the ever favorite Samson Wiblin in the England Wizarding Duelling Competition of 1430. I KNOW the spell, and I WILL blast you into a million pieces!" Seeing the seven not move or even shudder like it SHOULD have, the Slytherin scowled and took a step forward towards it, raising her wan- Oh. There it went; flying through the corridor and around the corner... "I say we follow it." |

Oh..nevermind. Stumbling backwards as Evelyn pried herself off, Destiny looked around for that blasted number two. It was nowhere to be found which had her slightly worried. What if it was creeping up behind her, or what if it disappeared to go and recruit it's other number buddies? Meh. Nothing to worry about she supposed. Everyone knew seven eight nine, and seven was still right there with them. But not for long! She wanted to tell Evelyn to hush, and not yell or threaten the number, but what her friend was threatening it with was too interesting. Destiny wanted to see this spell, even though she had no idea who the people were that she was talking about. History of Magic..not one of her best subjects. Well, whoever those people were, it sure got the number to leave. Laughing as the seven ran away like a little pansy, she was just about to take a step closer to the exit when Evelyn asked if they should chase it. Blink. Blink. Was Evelyn CRAZY!? Hmm.. "Are you CRAZY!? The exit isn't blocked anymore, we can just leave!" And get whatever the surprise was that Professor Hadley had at the end of the maze. It might be chocolate. |
Bonnie was just following her gut. That was really just what she was doing. That's all. Sighing, she wandered along the path. She had passed loads of twos already but she couldn't find any sevens. And of course, she was back at where she started. Bonnie breathed something about cursing Merlin and stamped her foot. FROWN! She wished she had coffée with her. Then, she would be fine. Giddy even. THe frown line deepened. Ooh for Merlin's Sake! Gawsh. This is so HARD! What's wrong with this teacher? Making us suffer? She's just teachin' us, Bonnie! I know but... Still. *thinks about crying* It's okay. Don't worry. We'll get out. I know. Bonnie stamped her foot again and wandered along a different direction. She passed #3...#4...#8...Wait what?!?! Ugh. She must have taken a wrong turn. Ah well. No use turning back noww. Sighing, she continued passed the numbers and rows of bushes. *pout-yFace* |

Turning around, the Slytherin placed her hands on her hips and gave Destiny a look. "Are you blind? There is no exit!" Raising her wand that was still lit, she pointed it in all directions before leaving it pointed down the way the seven went. "No exit, except following the seven, and I am not going back the way I came. There was some crazy dead body. I think it was a Ravenclaw." Though she couldn't have been all that sure. Might have been a Slytherin. It was too dark to see the color of the guy's robes. Tugging on Destiny's sleeve, Evelyn started down the way the seven took off, trying to see if she could still spot it. "C'mon! It's getting away!" ACK! That thing was fast! Which she wasn't all that surprised about. Even she herself would not want to get hit was her own blasting curse. |
Leilani squeezed the tissue back around her nose and took off running yet again. She swerved numerous times to avoid clashing into anymore objects. Left, right, right, left, stop. On the ground there was a scale with a large, unidentifiable object on each side. She assumed that she needed to get rid of both of them at exactly the same time. Slowly, Lani drew her wand and pointed it right between the two objects. "EVANESCO!" They bog disappeared --as did the scale-- leaving a clear path but for the number 2. Leilani ran, still holding the tissue tight to her nose. And then... THE EXIT!! She took off full speed, running straight out of the maze. Lani groaned as the blood leaked through her tissue and pointed her wand at her face. "Episky." GAHHH!! Owwwww, okay... so that didn't work. |
Quote:
Jeez! Destiny didn't know they were only going to follow the stupid number to find the exit! What if it was going to trick them into a trap? They'd be surrounded by numbers and she had no idea how to defeat them all! She wasn't even paying attention enough to know how to defeat the two and seven. By the way, where did that two go to? She'd keep an eye out for that one. "I am not blind! I have my..no, I don't have my glasses on. Nevermind" She still wasn't blind, though. Dear Merlin! There was another dead body? What WAS Professor Hadley playing at? If this was one of those life lesson that her parents had talked to her about, Destiny wanted no part in it. "Fine. We will follllllll.." she couldn't finish, because Evelyn had taken the initiative to pull her along. Pffft, whatever. As long as she wasn't doing to pulling she didn't care. If they went to wrong way, it was Evelyn's fault, not hers. Holding her lit wand up a little, Destiny glanced around as she was pulled, a small frown forming on her face. Were they walking in circles? And what was that annoying buzzing noise? Pulling herself out of Evelyn's grip, she stopped on the spot and turned around.. "Hey, Evelyn?" she absentmindedly waved her hand behind her back to get her friends attention, not daring to take her eyes off the little floating, buzzing numbers, "Do you suppose they are sixes, or nines?" O_____O And with that question, the little swarm of numbers formed an arrow like shape, and moved in for the attack. Apparently, numbers don't like when you don't know what number they really are.. "RUN AWAY!!!" |
Jack had been too busy nomming on the BEAUTIFUL chocolate he had just recieved by the Professor. Wow, Hadley was the best professor to him so far. Giving out chocolate during lesson time? A+ my friend. However, what he'd faile to notice was the classroom turn into a giant maze. Ah, so there had to be a catch somewhere. But with this amount of sugar in his system, Jack was sure he'd be able to knock a wall down rather than solving any riddles to get out of here. But, as he didn't want to damage his perfect self, he would get out the maze the traditional way; walking around and talking to giant numbers. The first hurdle that Jack came across was a bunch of moving letters. If he remembers correctly, wasn't this Arithmancy? Anyway, Jack assumed that maybe he had to spell the letters seven and two. Which was easier. Running around to catch the letters wasn't though. The 'S' was the most mischevious, and it took Jack a whole 2 MINUTES to finally catch it. Good job he was a little bit hyper. "Okay, sooooo S-E-V-E-N." Jack had to spell it out loud, just so he didn't get it wrong. That would be embarrassing. "NON!" Yelled the letters in unison. Non? What the hell was 'Non'? "Waaaaaait..." Jack said to himself. Oh great, it was French. "I don't even know French!" He yelled back at the letters, as they just laughed and carried on dancing and bouncing around some more. He would have to spell out Seven and Two in French. Well, he knew what Two was, as he could count up to 5 in French, but Seven would be a tricky one. Yes, he was 16 and he could only count up to 5 in French. Catching the numbers to make the word 'Deux', Jack then scratched his head as he wondered how to spell Seven in French. "Right, I'm guessing it begins with a 'S'?" So he had to catch the 'S' again. Wonderful. After putting the 'S' and the 'E' together, it kind of looked he was writing it in English, until the 'P' and the 'T' started bouncing more frantically than the others. YEY! The letters were actually helping! Putting the 'P' and the 'T' after the other letters in the line, all the leftover letters fell to the ground and let him past. On to the next hurdle.... |
Blink. Blink. She had got to her first 7. 7 gaps. Frowning she closed her eyes and thought. Magical...Magical...She opened her eyes and looked at all the different gaps. One looked ever-so-slightly different and felt like walking towards it. Then she tripped over something and felt blood stream from her nose. Gawsh! Pulling out a hankerchief, she mopped up the blood. Dammit. She wandered through the gap that looked different half heartedly. |

Feeling as though this maze was WAY too big to fit into the classroom, she was beginning to wonder if the classroom was enlarged as well when this maze had popped up. She was also beginning to wonder if it was suddenly becoming darker the further they ran. Was it? Or what it that the light had been in her line of vision for a good amount of time, that everything else seemed dark? With Destiny's sleeve slipping out of her hand, the Slytherin stopped and tried to look around with the minimum light they had. Where did that seven go? Standing on her tippy toes, she tried to peer over the maze walls but it was no use. She was too short! Sighing, her posture pointing to all signs of defeat, Evelyn lazily looked over to Destiny before flinching back. "Jeez, what?" Trying to slap her or something? "Sixes and wha?" Moving over to stand by her friend, the hazel eyed girl lifted her wand in front of her so the light could shine on whatever it was. What the heck? Squinting, she could see a blur of color before seeing something being pointed at her. "What...is that?" There was no doubt, what with the horror in her voice, that she was beginning to really hate this lesson. Runaway? Seeing Destiny already sprint off, the fourteen year old girl took one last glance to the numbers. Why were they buzzing like that? Her eyes widened though when she realized the pointy thing being pointed at her was an...arrow... OMG! Running after Destiny, the Slytherin caught up as fast as she could, hearing the buzzing grow louder behind her. "WHAT DID YOU DO!?" And Destiny really was making a lot of progressive in her running speed. Wow. Wait...WAIT! What was that? "LIGHT!...LIGHT! I see light!" Go to the light! And this was the only time she was ever going to think those words. Sprinting around the corner where the light was coming from, Evelyn suddenly came to a halt. Woah. There was baby seven they had been chasing and then there was...mama seven. Twice as big. "Seriously?" |
Mopping up the last of the blood from her nose, Bonnie sighed. She wished this was over already. It was tiring. Really tiring. She felt light headed. She could hear talking, and her heart pounded with excitment. Almost thereeeeeee. She thought, feeling hyper. Yayz. She turned one corner. Another. Two. One magical number. Her excitement was threatening to bubble over. 3...4...5...6...She grinned when she turned another corner... |

They were going to be stung by a bunch of numbers! The sixes or nines, whatever number they were, were going to use the little loop thing to poke them. It could have been her imagination, or the lack of light, but Destiny Shepard swore those loop thing were sharpened into a point. Like a bumblebee. That would also explain the annoying buzzing that the were doing. Although, she had never seen a swarm of bees make that arrow-like shape and attack. Only on the muggle box did that happen. And they were not on the muggle box..right? RIGHT!? After taking off without Evelyn, since it was every man for themselves when a swarm of numbers were attacking, Destiny didn't even look behind her to see where those numbers were. She was hoping Evelyn would take care of them, her being the better of the two in Arithmancy and most likely knowing how to destroy those numbers. But that wasn't going to happen, since her friend was now running beside her, asking what she had done. If she wasn't out of breath from running, she would have scoffed at that. "All I did was ask a question!" she said, and taking a quick peek behind herself, noticed that they were multicolored numbers and they were, like, right behind them. Bugger. Too busy looking behind her and thinking she was almost to the light she could just about see in her peripheral vision, she didn't know Evelyn had stopped until.. SMACK! ..right into the BIGGEST number seven of all. With a slight stumble, Destiny caught her bearings on the wall and looked at Evelyn with eyes almost as big as the seven. "Do something with the seven while I take care of the sixes and nines!" Like..karate chop them! |
Willow walked forward. That was just so simple. Too simple. As she was thinking, she came to an end. She turned right and kept going forward. Another end. Turn left. Another end. Right turn. While Willow was walking, she ran into an invisible wall. A note appeared. Number time. It said: Willow pulled out her wand and flicked it. She walked forward, but was still expecting to get hit. Nope. She fell right through. There was a deep hole. It was huge. Flick. A rock. Jump. Another flick. Another rock. Another jump. She repeated this process five more times. The last jump was scary. She looked down. She closed her eyes and brought her head up. Don't look down, don't look down she thought. And she jumped. Land. Fall. Catch. Willow stood back up. She continued on her journey. Everything was straight forward. It was great. Until she got to the next number. If this was number seven, she would've died. Two great white sharks were swimming in a deep pool in front of her. She took a step. Something hot made her jump back. It was gold etched in the ground. Willow was confused. What was she to do? How do you make a shark happy? What made herself happy? Boys. Crushes and love. Thank god she paid attention is science. Both of these sharks were male. With a flick of her wrist, two female sharks were added. And a high bridge. The male sharks attention were away from Willow. "Wingardium Leviosa!" she shouted and she flew up to the bridge. She walked across and jumped down. Nope. Nothing was gonna keep her from getting to the end of this maze. Why were people in groups? When you're in groups someone holds you back. No thank you. Willow walked forward. Quote:

Josey saw a screen in her way. It was almost transparent, but she couldn't get through it. She tried, and she was thrown backward, it hurt. Hanging in the middle of the screen was the letter two. On each side of the screen were magnets. Well fine. Josey figured that since two ment unity, the magnets were supposed to have unity. Josey pushed one toward the other and they connected, hmm easy, but then they sliiiiiiiiiiiid all the way back. Grrr. Josey slid the other one back to the other side, slowly and turned slightly. When they got to each other it tried to fly back, but she held it in place frustrtingly. She puched it a little more to the side and the magnet flipped around to connect with the other one. Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! The shield wavered and disappeared and Josey walked on to the other side. |
