Josiah approached the crowd, still able to see for the most part. He was tall for his age, what could he say? He crossed his arms and sighed a little. Honestly, he thought that everyone putting their name in was either an attention-seeker or just plain stupid. Who wanted to risk their life for that whole eternal-glory thing? Not Josiah, that was for sure. Even if he'd been old enough, there was noooo way his name would be going in that goblet. He watched on as student after student stepped over the age line and dropped their name in. |

She was surprised no one had spoken up about it yet. With an apologetic look towards the Durmstranger guy, |
Monique entered the Entrance Hall with the rest of her schoolmates. There, in the middle of the room, was the Goblet of Fire. This was it. This was the moment that could change her life forever. In her hand she clutched tightly a piece of parchment with her name on it. She approached the Age Line with a confident strut. She must do everything she could to appear calm and collected even though she was shaking on the inside. After what felt like ages she was finally close to the Goblet. She kissed the parchment for good luck and held it out cautiously over the flames. Good, she didn't feel a thing. She closed her eyes and released the parchment. Next stop, eternal glory. She then took a few steps back and waited for the others to finish submitting their names. |
Brielle had come to Hogwarts for one reason, the TriWizard Tournament. And now it was time for her to add her name to the goblet of Fire. It was the chalice of blue flames that held her destiny, her chance of glory. Following Monique into the hall in which the Goblet was place, she could not deny that her stomach was alive with butterflies. As she sashayed her way across the room she could feel the eyes of other on her, but none of them mattered, there was one thing in the room worthy of her attention. As her eyes felling onto the Goblet, there was a momentary pause in her step, the echoes ringing out from her heels. Standing stock-still gazing at the flames that licked the rim of the goblet, Brielle knew that she would fight to the every end to win, to come out on top, to make her parents, her friends, her school proud. Moving again, she fingered the parchment that was held in her fingers, like the playing card of a tarot card reader. Arriving at the very base of the goblet, Brielle held out her hand, and in what appeared as the Goblet’s desire to have her, the flames surged out, wrapping around her parchment, leaving her hand completely unburnt. |
So this was it, the time had come to put their names in the Goblet of Fire. Jermaine was filled with excitement as him and his Beauxbaton's classmates walked toward the Goblet... together... united as a group. Looking around the area he smiled at all the students standing around. Students that were too young to put their own name in the goblet, which meant they were there only to see who was entering their names. Well stand back kiddies because Jermaine Roussea was about to step over that age line and put his name in.... just as soon as Monique and Brielle put their names in. Once the girls had their names in the Goblet and were standing back next to them he looked over at Noel then back at the goblet. It was now his turn. Holding his parchment he stepped over the line then threw his name in the Goblet watching as the flames swallowed it up. |
So this was it. The moment of truth! Sorta. Following behind the two girls and Jermaine, Noel kept his eyes on the blue flames of the goblet, willing the butterflies in his stomach to leave him alone. Regardless of the nerves he was feeling, it was alllll confidence on the outside. Head held high, a nice serene smile on his face, uniform was wrinkle free, hair was perfect as usual, a random wink to the young lady that asked him about potatoes at the opening feast, and blue eyes on the prize! Or in this case, it was still the goblet. Holding the small parchment in hand, Noel stopped just outside the age line and waited for the others to place their names in first, his smile becoming slightly larger as each of his friends placed their names in. And now, it was his turn. Taking a step forward towards the goblet, he raised his hand and placed the small parchment with his name and school written on in it into the blue flames. Hmm, the flames were much cooler then he had expected. Even having the icy blue tone of color that it possessed, it was still warm to the touch though. Satisfied with the achievement, he took a step back out of the circle and to his classmates. Only time would tell now who it would choose! |

In addition to Harry interest in the Triwizard Tournament, he has challanged his sister to try and figure out how she can out smart the age line and put her name in the goblet. Trying to trick the Age Line is only half the battle. The Goblet can probably detect if the witch or wizard submitting his or her name is underage. To be more specific, Harry wants Sidney to figure out how Barty Crouch, Jr. cofounded the Goblet of Fire during the last Triwizard Tournament at Hogwarts. Not one to pass up a challange, she accepts. Sidney figures it will be fun to work with Harry for a change. She has no intentions of trying anything out on the cup. Sidney is only a third year. It would be suicide to try and compete against seventh years. Not to mention, Professor Tate would have a mooncalf if she did something so stupid as get herself killed. Barty Crouch confessed in volume five of the The Life of Harry Potter that he used the Confundus Charm on the Goblet. I wonder if he used some other charms as well. Could confusing the goblet be enough to force it to select a champion from a fourth school? Sidney makes her way through the crowd when she almost runs into the guy from Drumstrung- the one who had all the older girls at Hufflepuff table falling all over him. She places her camera in position to take the Drumstrung's photograph when her face starts getting very hot. Sidney can't help herself. She starts blushing. I never noticed how cut he is for a boy I mean. Sidney lowers her camera and stares at him. Butterflies start fluttering around in her stomach. You know it would be rude to just snap his picture. He is a guest here at Hogwarts, and we're suppose to show the Drumstrung and Beaubaton students that we know how to act properly. Sidney puts her camera over her shoulder and walks over to the guy. "Hello, I'm... I'm..m..m... Would you mind if I took a photograph of you?" Sidney's mind has turned to mush. |
Patroclus walked into the Great Hall, the room full of students there not for food but to watch the Goblet of Fire. It was just a flaming cup…..OK so it was pretty cool. As he moved through the people to get to a good vantage point, Patroclus played with his new school jumper, rolling the sleeves, un rolling the sleeves, tucking in one half of his shirt, untucking. He didn’t know why he was doing it, but he was a fourth year now so, he had to look cool! Looking up from his jumper, Patroclus marvelled at the procession that was the arrival of the Beauxbatons Students. The blue of their uniforms seemed to put the dark Hogwarts ones to shame. But what was more catching was the two French beauties that walked in front of the boys. |
Quote:
But he never finished his thought. He found out what the crowd was for. It was for the French girls! Ohhhh la la. "What do you think are the chances that I could learn enough French to impress them by the end of the term?" he asked watching as they put their names in the cup that was on fire. Ohhhh... was that what they meant by 'Goblet of Fire.' |
Quote:
Did anyone see that? Did they? Huh, huh, HUUUUUUUH? He, the Beauxbatons guy whose name she had totally forgot, had WINKED! Not only did he wink, he had winked at HER! HER! Destiny! Grinning stupidly, she gave the Even if it did mean turning into a bird like that one boy. Only when his name was placed inside the Goblet, did Destiny stop her waving. Hehehehehe. Maybe he would wink again, when he made his way back? Quote:
Still, Destiny thought it was a stupid thing to do, putting one's name in a giant cup of flames. "I know, but, couldn't they have used something else?" Something that didn't have fire in it? Like that Beauxbaton guy's shoe. Yeah, she'd put her name in that! Hehehehe. "I'm not old enough to enter. And even if I was, I wouldn't put my name in the Goblet unless I had one of those grabber poles. I don't want my hand burned off." Oh, and then the very awkward, for Destiny at least, art of introductions. She stuck out her unburned hand, "The name is Shepard. Destiny Shepard." |

"Hey Carter," Patroclus smiled, he was now more than happy to be seen with his fellow fox again, considering the love-sickness was over. "I would offer to teach you, but then you would wreck my chance with the ladies" Patroclus putting on a deep voice on the last word, and ckicking his fingers. The frenchies were getting some serious attention, the guys were starring at the girls, and girls were starring at the guys. It seemed there was going to be quite a few broken hearts come the end of term. "I wonder who our champions will be?" Patroclus asked Carter, as he watched the last Beauxbatons boy add his name. |

Just about to look around for that Beauxbaton guy, she stopped as Sam asked about the grabber pole. She laughed, "It's a pole that people use to grab things that are in high places. Usually lazy people use them." Lazy like her Grandmother! |

...until... ...Arya! "What? Lose my legs?" he asked, shaking his head as he forgot about the chalky line, "Where? When? How do you know?" he was now...concerned. He was totally thinking Arya had a vision and knew he was going to lose his legs eventually. Yes, worried and concerned this boy was. Quote:
Blink. Did the boy just fly away? "That's got to be the best way to get out of trouble that I've ever seen!" he exclaimed, to no one in particular. Actually, that's the only time he'd seen anyone get out of trouble. "AH-mazing" he said, with a wide smile... ...scary, because he didn't approve of people turning into animals...but he still smiled at the way the boy got out trouble... ...and was still concerned about his legs. |
lol, Sam has a GREAT imagination! Quote:
"I suppose they could use magic, but what about underage wizards? Parents don't like when you start climbing on tables to reach the cookie jar." Destiny learned that the hard way. Who knew having shoes on the table was considered bad luck? Talk about muggles..she didn't know all that much about them, just that the telliewission was the coolest thing EVER! Plus, she had only went to Muggle Studies class to bother Professor Lawson, and now that he wasn't there anymore.. "I think I know what you are talking about. They are like stairs, but..not." |
Lmaooo! Quote:
And ... in 30 seconds. Remind Iris to NEVER get on the wrong side of this teacher, mmkay? The girl looked at Jimbo, with a small glare that said "lose us points and I'll shave your hair off in your sleep." Which was probably a bit harsh... But he'd deserve it. :mwaha: Quote:
Well, at least it was more than 50 words. And in about 20 seconds. Jimbo's explaination FOR THE WIN. Hehe. "Uh..." Okay, what the heck was she meant to say to the fact that Jimbo seemed to be getting SMALLER. Iris watched her friend as he started to grow FEATHERS. What on Earth?! O______________O ... ... Watching Jimbo turn into a bird was simply FREAKY. And that beak was incredibly long and pointy. O_O ... Jimbo, don't you dare come and poke me with your beak, her eyes seemed to warn. Iris looked from the little green bird on the ground, to the professor and back again. Quote:
OOOOOH NOOOO! That was bad. Jimbo COULDN'T get eaten by a CAT. Okay, the teacher was telling someone else off now. Iris looked to Leilani and smirked. Then she crouched down and scooped the bird up. As she stood up, Iris held Birdy!Jimbo at face level "Y'know Jimbo... I've always wanted a pet bird. Maybe we'll just keep you like this." Hehehe. Iris petted Birdy!Jimbo's head. GRIIIIN. Iris faced Leilani, glancing back down at Jimbo's robes on the floor. "So Leilani, Shall we keep him like this for a while, take him to Lafay or take him to Kingsley?" Because... Lafay was their HoH. Kingsley was the Transfiguration teacher, and would be able to change him back. |

Glancing to the Hall entrance, for any sign of BeauxbaBLAH blue, he noticed a girl giving him a look. Not only was she giving him a look, she was smiling, too. Well, he knew he was good looking, she didn't have to stare at him. With a quick wink in her direction, because he knew that's what she was waiting for, he once again glanced to the doors. BeauxbaBLAH's must have been scared. Quote:
Hogwarts was going to take a lot of getting used to, Nikolai decided. No one in Durmstrang almost walked into him, but really, could the Hogvartians be blamed for wanting to touch him? No, of course not. It wasn't his fault, either. He couldn't help the fact that he was so good looking and all the girls wanted to be near him. Even the younger ones it appeared. Grinning at the girls sudden blush, he eyed the camera that she was holding. Oh, it was getting better and better. Soon, he had a feeling, people would be going up to him asking him to sign their books, parchments and kneazles. He glanced around the Hall before looking back down at the girl and pointing to himself, "You vant to take my picture?" he asked, knowing full well she did. Like she would be talking to anyone else. "Is this for the school paper or something?" Too distracted by the girl and the camera, Nikolai had missed the entrance of the Beauxbaton students. Didn't matter anyway, they weren't the ones getting their picture taken. |

He contemplated asking the professor about the magic of the age line and then changed his mind. he'd probably lose points if he did. He would ask someone else, like Professor Vindictus, later. Quote:

and everyone else but only a little bit? *lost* Quote:
"You're being difficult," he chided playfully, crossing his arms. "People know who you are. I know who you are." He said this like it really mattered, which... it did. At least to him. His eyes turned to the Goblet again, and he bit the his lip again. The way she put it... Merlin, that sounded a bit terrifying. "Inanimate objects have done stranger things, I guess. I dunno. It's... weird and a bit scary, when you put it like that." Mmmm. The adrenaline thing. Raiden nodded and tapped his chest, as if this was all that was needed to explain it. For a handful of people, it would have been, but... well. Not many people knew about it, did they. Especially since it wasn't a real problem anymore... "My heart. When I was born, there were... a lot of problems with it. For a long time, I couldn't handle a lot of stuff... being surprised, being scared, stuff like that." Half-smiling, he shrugged and wrinkled his nose. "It was like, to the point where I could have died from it. But over the past few years, it's gotten a lot better. They told me it's not even a problem anymore." He gestured to the Goblet. "Obviously it's not, I mean I put my name in there didn't I. But my mum was even against me trying out Quidditch, because of it." He was probably oversharing, and there was a belated thought that she was probably going to look at him funny over it, but he hadn't thought about that. "I think I can handle waiting. As long as it's not for too long." Pause. He leaned closer to her. "Don't tell anyone about that?" Not that it would be a bad thing for people to know, and Merlin knew it might be common knowledge for some. But he didn't need the whole 'Raiden could have died without being an idiot' thing going around. |
Swoosh. When Liz entered the room, she stopped and took on a composed and polite expression. Most of the people in the room were older than her, so she didn't want them to think her childish. No, no, not at all. She looked over the many heads and saw... the Goblet! Oo, there it was! Liz had to really try not to jump up and down. "Pam! There it is! Let's go!" Her face was contorted with hyper excitement as she walked, with great posture, up to the Goblet, tugging Pam along. Liz took it all in once the reached it. A white chalk line was drawn around the table that was host to the Goblet itself. It wasn't the shining bejewled gold that she had imagined, in fact, it looked quite old. That was even better! What was fascinating was the gentle fire spitting out of the brim. It was green, blue, and purple, all at the same time. It was hypnotizing, and Liz found herself gazing intently at it. She voiced her thoughts to Pam, "It's not what I imagined, really. I think it kinda takes on a... wise, majestic look, you know? Isn't that fire cool? I've never seen anything like it!" Her eyes traveled down until they reached the chalk line, "What do you think would happen if we crossed that line?" she asked, pointing to it. Liz wasn't up for trying, no, she was rather cautious, but she wanted to see someone do it. Preferably not from her own house, because that could get points taken away. |

Amber frowned. Was this girl really trying to take a picture of him? Next he'll be expecting autographs and screaming fan-girls. *snort* |
