firefox got hungry and ate the entire post yesterday. boo. SPOILER!!: the comicbook name with the comic book fan :) Salander's eyes narrowed instinctively as Diggy came up to them. He shifted his gaze to the blond Ravenclaw girl as Diggy thanked her support.Grayson. he thought, mulling her name over, then realized he hasnt even introduced himself. He flicked his eyes towards the Goblet when Diggy all but confirmed what Grayson has said earlier-- even when Salander wasnt quite 17 yet, he is allowed to submit his name to be a Hogwarts champion, even when he was just the new kid on the block, or the fact that he was a few years lower than his contemporaries. Whether or not he actually deserves to be called a Hogwarts Champion is up for the Cup to decide. At least this will get him past the Age Line. He waited for Diggy to leave before picking up his convo with Grayson. "Sorry I kept grilling you with questions without even introducing myself. My name is Salander." he said offering the Ravenclaw blond his hand. Shifting his eyes back onto the Goblet he sighed deeply before continuing. "So anyone can add their name to the cup so long as they turn 17 before the end of June next year right?" he said, giving a pensive smile "Guess I just made it through the skin of my teeth. I turn 17 on June 5th. " |

He should have known that she would be here. Looking at Danika as she asked him the question he grinned. Hopefully Louvain wouldn't reveal his secret. "Huh? Yeah of course didn't you see?" Putting on his best confused look Legend quickly looked from the goblet back to the Durmstrang student. "I just put it in. Guess you weren't watching me close enough huh?" As he said this all he could do was grin. |

She did not believe. Danika couldn't help to look from Legend to the Goblet of Fire and its blue flames. Narrowing her eyes a bit at the Goblet, she faced Legend again. "You did?" she said, with a smile on her face, as if saying she was content with the answer. But she had to fake a slight frown for the boy's sake, "I seem to have missed it" but she really wasn't grieving over that. "Vell, there are other things in my mind" like annoying this little guy. |
Quote:
"I must agree with your predicament" she giggled, but then shook her head, "no haven't met any of them... oh so their all in Gryffindor? I didn't see any in Ravenclaw yet, well i haven't spent much time in the common room to see my own claws" she shrugged, it wasn't her fault she had a healthy appetite. As is Billy Bob. She almost chocked her on her own breath when the boy suggested the most obnoxious thing ever! "No way! I won't have the courage to pass the age line, it's true, it'll curse me if i'm not seventeen. Uhh---huh" she shook her head but then held still as a foreigner approached Legend. Oh she was one of those anglo-saxons ones, Drumstrang was it? Hmmm. Quote:

...but he won't. Danika smirked at the girl's greeting. Surely, 'hey there' was a very odd form of greeting. Clearly. And the Durmstrang student did not approve of the girl's approach. One has to say their names when they're the ones starting the conversation. But she will let it go right now, because it was Danika's manners that lead to this poor demonstration of etiquette. "Thanc you. I am Danika Malik...from Durmstrang" clearly, the blood-red uniform said it all, "The Castle is very varm" and that was it, she wasn't saying anything else. "You must ve from Ravenclav, vut I missed your name" she noticed the girl's robes. She was one from the blue ones Aleksandra was to stay with. |
Sorry it took a while. And last post for me til after Monday. Text Cut: Arya, Diggy and Salander *giggles at "tiny Grayson"* Grayson twisted her head around so quickly that it seemed she'd fall off her perch on top of the railing, as the girl who had been discussing the Age Line stuff actually responded. Luckily for her, she'd been pretty well-balanced, and could twist her sneaker-clad foot around one of the posts to balance herself further. Anything to further explain her knowledge of the stories. "I think it might have itched when it was first growing, but do beards really itch when they're just sitting there?," she asked, another thoughtful look crossing her face as she contemplated it. But all that vanished into a mischievous smile as the story from Harry's time became the focus again. "Everyone who'd been affected got sent to the hospital wing, so I bet the beards didn't last very long." As long as it took thehealer at the time to reverse the spells, probably. "I definitely think it would have been hilarious." She was seriously waiting for someone to make that mistake. If just to see if the same spells were on the line this time around. "The really dangerous stuff seemed to happen to Harry, though," she pointed out, to their discussion of Cedric and his death. "I mean, he got the most dangerous dragon to face and all that." Not really helping whatever they were discussing, so she turned back to the Slytherin boy. Who she was still trying to figure out if he wanted to submit his name or something. With all his questions about requirements and everything. He seemed older than her, definitely. Taller, too, but that was something she was used to. And her position on the railing made that detail a bit less pronounced, anyway. But she got distracted by Diggy coming over. "Hey. You're welcome. I mean, I gotta show support for the people I know, right?," she asked with a smile, as he thanked her for the earlier cheering. The grin faded a bit as he asked if she'd entered, though. "Can't," she said with a tiny sigh. She'd only be fifteen by June. It was the only disappointing thing about it all. And she sort of let herself brood a tiny bit as Diggy responded to the other Slytherin boy's comments, only coming back to the conversation once she heard her name again and turning back to Diggy with a smile. "You're welcome. Again. I know what it's like." The being tiny thing. Except at least Diggy had grown. She was pretty much convinced she'd be five feet tall forever. Her green eyes followed her friend as he disappeared back into the crowd, but she turned back to the other boy as he spoke again. Obviously trying to continue their earlier conversation. "Sokay. I get into conversations with people without knowing their names lots of times," she said with a friendly smile. At least it seemed he was trying to fix that. "Grayson," she responded, even though he probably had heard her name from Diggy. "Has anyone accidentally called you salamander?," she added curiously. He had an interesting name, that was for sure, but then, she seemed to attract the people with interesting names. Considering her best friend and all, not to mention Raven and Torin. She followed his gaze as he looked at the Goblet again, but blinked as he continued speaking. "Well then, you should put your name in. Worst case, it won't get chosen, but at least you'll have tried," she said. And she'd verified he was older than her, not to mention now she could have more people she knew in the mix as possible champions. If he submitted his name. |

Well she wasn't sure how the castle was warm but she assumed it was a description of how well Hogwartsian greeted her, aren't we a special bunch? yes we are so great and warm. Louvain smiled until it touched her eyes, well the girl was slightly rough around the edges given her response but one having to experience Margret the past two days, Danika would be an angel in comparison. "I'm Louvain Louis" she continued to smile, "yes I'm from Ravenclaw fifth year student" she trailed on with her jouviant smile, "has anyone given you a tour of the castle yet?" she shiftily glanced at Legend. Wouldn't be interesting to squish him on a tour with Danika, such an amusement for the day! |

Other things? Other than him!? It couldn't be that important. "Other things on your mind like what? Do you have to do some training or something?" Quote:
"Well no. I'm pretty sure there in every house? I think at least. It's more fair that way." It was wasn't it? You couldn't just put everyone in one house. Wow. Sigh. Sometimes he forgot that people from other houses weren't as brave as Gryffindors. "Nothing bad will happen." That bad anyways. "You've got to be curious to see what will happen. The only way we can see is if someone goes or if we push a first year in there." He actually wasn't so set agaisnt pushing a first year, but he didn't want detention at the start of school. |
Quote:
Fifth year, huh? She must be a clever one then. Her dark gray eyes scanned the girls face, "Vhy, not. Are you offering one, Louvain?" she asked, eyes went from Louvain to Legend, and then back to Louvain. Was she bringing the blond one as well? That could be fun, to see if he slipped his real age. Quote:
The boy seemed glad about something, perhaps it was a nice thing Danika decided to go along with his "of age" situation. Too bad she didn't hang around the Goblet in the look out for Legend. She smiled, "Other things, clearly more important" than waiting around for a boy to fail at entering his name on the Goblet. |
Nikolai did not want to be the first, nor did he want to be the last of the students from the visiting schools to place his name in the Goblet of Fire. It was no surprise, to him, when Vlad put his name inside the Goblet first, beating out the boy in green Hogwarts robes by mere seconds. He smirked, just knowing that, once again, Durmstrang came in first. Beating Beauxbatons with their entrance, now beating Howgarts with entering the Tournament. Soon, Durmstrang would be coming out on top for the third time when the Triwizard cup went home with them. He stood right behind the growing crowd knowing full well that he was not only old enough to enter, but he was going to enter. He hadn't travelled all the way to Hogwarts for nothing. Of course, even of he wasn't selected as one of the champions, the trip still wouldn't have been for nothing. He had met a number of people already, and, they had all met him. With a clearing of his throat, to let everyone know he was present, Nikolai made his way through the crowd stopping just short of the age line. Pulling out a piece of parchment the same color as his blood red robes, he took the last step needed to cross the line. Quickly glancing over his shoulder at the crowd, he grinned at the ladies gathered before facing the Goblet once more and giving the parchment in his hand a flick. He stood there motionless as he watched the flames engulf the parchment, and only when the blood red was no longer visible did he step back, re-crossing the age line. With another grin to the ladies, he made his way back to the spot behind the crowd he was previously. The view was much better from back there. Now. Where were the BeauxbaBLAH students? |
Taylor stood off to the side of the growing crowd to watch the people that were brave enough to put their names in the goblet. What a way to start off a new school. Even if she were old enough, she was by no means brave enough to do anything like that. She has heard some stories. Whether or not they were true, she did not know. |

That is, until her attention was diverted to someone staring at them. WHAT? There was nothing to see here! Glaring at the kid slightly, the Slytherin turned back to Purple, glancing at Marie and Kingston out of the corner of her eye. Was he serious? Quote:
Woah woah woah... "Hey you little..." Whaaa? Seriously? That, definitely made her laugh. Short attention spam this one. Marie had noticed right? "I bet he gets distracted with shiny objects too." Bahahaha! Quote:
Durmstrang, who she didn't know the name of but totally wanted to know, guy was here. And he was walking to the goblet thing!! Ack, he stopped before the line. And then he crossed the line! And he put his name in! That was....so cool. Wait, pfft, snap out of it Ev. Eesh. |

Amber Kahney Hogwarts She stood up, slowly and dramatically walking up to the age line. She took a deep breath, then stepped over. Her breath came out as a sigh of relief and, taking one last glance at the paper, threw it into the flames that soon engulfed it. She smile triumphantly, stepping back across the line and to her messenger bag. She gave the boy across the hall a "Ha, ha!" look as she did so, smiling. |
Daisy stood there outside of the age line. Okay well she stood far enough from it so that if she had a clutz moment nothing bad would happen. If only I was old enough, she thought bitterly. She pulled out her sketch pad and began to draw the cup. It was the only time she would ever see it in person and she wanted to remember it. |
no one has to necessarily reply to this lol Quote:
Not recognizing the guy beside her, Carson turned back to the Goblet without paying much more attention to the conversation beside her. Half of her wanted to include herself and get to know people like she had originally planned on for the year, but she also didn't want to seem like some crazy almost-fifteen-year-old. |
Melanie would very much like to kick something... A certain goblet maybe? She was fifteen days too young. It wasn't faiiiiiir. She could handle danger just as well as any stupid seventeen year old 15 days older than her. It wasn't that Melanie wanted to be in the Triwizard Tournament. She didn't have a death wish (though she had to admit she wouldn't have minded the chance at that prize money). It was the fact that she couldn't, even if she wanted to, that bugged her. When she was an old lady and telling stories to her grandchildren she wouldn't be able to tell them that she entered in the Triwizard Tournament. Instead she'd be telling the story of how she watched other people enter their names into the goblet... Which was much less exciting. Melanie sat crossed legged on the ground a few feet away from the age line, as she watched one seventeen-year-old after another cross the line to enter their name. Despite her slight bitterness toward the Tournament (it stole quidditch like the Grinch stole Christmas), she hoped Hogwarts came up with a champion worthy of rooting for. A champion that could kick butt properly in honor of their school. Quote:
He didn't look any older than her. And she didn't see a piece of paper in his hand. She raised an eyebrow slightly at the sight of the younger boy, curious as to what would happen. Her personal assumption was that the age line would just throw you back if you dared to step inside. Perhaps someone had gotten more creative, though. You never know. "That's not a very bright thing to do." Melanie informed him matter-oh-factually, watching from afar as he crossed the line. He was just asking for trouble, doing a thing like that. It reminded her of someone. |
So this was it.. Truthfully Oliver wasn't nervous in the slightest. He'd always been one for seeking out adventure and, often, danger to help quell the boredom he often felt thanks to his condition. He had never been content with the mundane ordinary task of merely living. Although the lad had been injured countless times through doing extremely silly things, this, the Triwizard Tournament, was different. It was a supervised event.. by responsible adults so he wasn't too worried despite Tater Tot’s words at the opening feast. The man had said something equally morbid each year since Oliver started at Hogwarts just over two years ago and no one had died in that time... at least that he was aware of. :erm: He arrived to find the area rather crowded, and his trademark smirk crept up his pale face. Awesome – an audience. The Slytherin boy thrived in this sort of situation. Of course he had turned seventeen back in May, so he had no worries as he stepped over the chalked Age Line. Nothing happened – no surprise there. Tate knew his stuff. Hehe. He studied the flames for a moment, then turned to look at all the kids watching before he placed his parchment complete with his untity scrawled name into the flames, watching as it was engulfed. Job done. Green eyes glinting, he turned and bowed to his audience with a grin on his face and wandered over to join the small crowd to see who would be next. The waiting to find out who the champions were going to be was going to be the worst part of this whole thing... Or at least Oliver thought so. |

Leilani stared as Jimbo crossed the age line. How...?! Huh...?! WHUUUUUUUT?!?! Dang. So it wouldn't throw her back if she ran at it. Oh well, she could tell Jimbo to put up a sheild and run at that later. As for now, they had the issue at hand. That age line was totally gonna do something to that boy. Mabey she ought to go get a Proffesor, that'd teach him not to go poking around age lines again. She sighed amd crossed her arms over her cheast. "Farley, I'm going to laugh when you come out of there looking like a horses backside." Lani called after him. Seriously, you'd think he had more sense than that. "And I'm not going to be the person that takes you to Lafay to get your organs straightened out again." She added. Lafay... Oh yeah, Jimbo hated her. But who didn't? |
Arabella-Marie shook her head at her fellow first year and said "Evelyn just ignore him because we both know never to cross the age line cause we have got no idea what will happen to us" |
Tee Hee. Stoopid Jimbo. <33 SPOILER!!: Jimbo, Melanie and Leilani!!! Well, it seemed like it was a good idea to be here after all. Better HER to find Jimbo being a complete moron than some other prefect. She scooched through the other people that were there, until she was stood behind Leilani and some Hufflepuff. "Y'know Farley," Oh aye, the Last name card. Well, more copying Leilani for effect. "I agree with these two. I wouldn't do it, but I'm most certainly going to laugh." Aaaand, she'd probably have to drag him to Lafay with a beard and wrinkles... but that one didn't need voicing. She looked at him with her hands on her hips, expecting the fool to start glowing and going freaky or something. "Jimbo... Just get out of the circle before you end up ugly and old-looking. Because you WILL. Aaand, then you'll probably get into a crazy amount of trouble for it." Iris looked around the other people here. She could see Oliver here.... Maybe she should go get him. Oliver would know what to do... AND, Oliver isn't as scary as Lafay. Hehe. She added a little extra "Please?" Just for good measure... Mainly because she didn't want to have to go and get him in trouble. |
Brant reached the age line surrounding the cup thing, many students were already lined up all the way around it, Brant made his way through the group of students with a peice of paper in his hand. Brant passed the age line, nothing seemed to happen to him. He was of age. Quote:

Too wrapped up in her own thoughts she walked into some boy. She stopped looking up at him she rolled her eyes. "Watch where your going yeah ?" |
Jen walked up to the age line and looked at it intently. Man, this was cool. She raised her eyes to the Goblet of Fire and watched it intently for a minute. She was likely to forget herself when looking at something like this, the Goblet of Fire was mesmerizing. She took a step backwards as students all around her were walking up and putting their names in. She walked back to the far wall and leaned against it watching everyone put their names in there. She wished that she was of age so that she could enter it, but she doubted that she'd have the nerve. She watched the seventh and sixth years enter their names in it admiringly. This was so exciting! |

"And you better mind your matters young lady." he added. "Gah, I do not like Rude people at all" while looking at the girl. |

She ignored his next comment instead deciding to intorduce herself. "Callie. Callie Parker." |
