"I have heard zat many times..." he sighed with an amused look, glancing to the group of students once more. They seemed okay. Not emotionally traumatized or anything, so that was good.

Though, complimenting the boys would have probably got their faces as red as that. And the girl...she was pulling them away? Perhaps, saving the embarrassment? He could only assume of course. He didn't actually see what happened. "If he learned quick enough, zen perhaps he'll avoid you two."

He was kidding of course, and the chuckle proved that fact!

Jermaine appearing though only made his comment more serious though. Which was a good thing, since the girls needed to know that really...they could not eat their prey like Jermaine had said.

Perhaps he should move before the girls decided to hex something? Or...someone?

Someone obviously gave the Rexasaurus something in his food or drink. He was being way too nice. And again, where was the Huffie Puffie owner? She wouldn't want to see her pet talking to a slimeball would she? Words courtesy of her pet himself!!

However, once his words processed in her mind, the Slytherin actually laughed. "Umm, yea...I'm only fourteen. Duh. I didn't enter my name into the tournament." Pffft, wow. She didn't want to be turned into a bird!

A faint smile crept onto Grayson's face as she watched the little girl try to make herself bigger at their approach. She understood the feeling, as Salander was obviosuly bigger than both of them, but the idea that someone could be intimidated by her appearance was almost hilarious. Unless the concept of her reputation was back, and the girl was reacting to that. She didn't think so though. The girl looked new, to her at least. Not that most people didn't look fairly new to her anyway, having only been at Hogwarts since last term. She waved back, though. That was cute. Since she'd already said hi, she didn't want to seem stupid and repeat herself, so she went straight for the introduction part, watching as Haughtine scanned her robes for information. "You have an interesting name too," she observed, before smiling again. "I'm Grayson." Comment away, as she was used to it. Although Salander hadn't actually said anything about her name like most people did.

A giggle escaped as they were asked about who'd put their names in. "Salander has. I'm not old enough," she responded. "Lots of others have put their names in too. I wonder when the champions will be chosen," she continued, a thoughtful look crossing her features. That was going to be the next exciting step. Unless someone else risked the bird transformation. She wasn't getting her hopes up though.

Eli half-hugged his chumliest chum. "Big doin's." he whispered. "The slytherin prefect's got a curse on him and he's dyin', but he's still going out for quidditch even though it's gonna kill him to do. Me and this girl are going to go tell on his to Professor Vindictus, though. You should come, too. We --" he noticed motion out of the corner of his eye and stopped short, his jaw dropping.

The Malone girl put her name in? Incredible! "Ari, wow! You're so brave!" Eli called out to the girl, though deep down he feared the goblet wouldn't pick a blind champion, he really hoped it would. That way if - no, when - they won, Hogwarts students would be able to say that they could beat other schools with their eyes closed. Eli felt the surge of pride in his chest already.

"Well, maybe you will try another time" Rex told Evelyn. " You would probably like me to be picked, so yoru frienemy might get hurt' Rex laughed. " No, I know you are not that mean" Rex said to Evelyn.

Lina pulled on Eli to get his attention back. "Dude, this is bigger than Quidditch, you moron. You think Quidditch could kill him? He's put his name into the Goblet! What if he's picked as one of the Champions? We don't know how it picks!"

"Attention!" Tate approached the Goblet, stepping easily over the Age Line. He was over 17 for reals. "The time has come for the Goblet to share all of it's secrets with us."

He picked up the cup and held it over his head, as if wielding a sword. "Eyes on me, and we'll begin." Tate set the cup back on the dais, watching as the flame burst high, sparkling dark flames. One by one, slips of paper flew from the Goblet of Fire, and Tate caught each in turn and read it out loud.

"Brielle Lambert, Beauxbatons."

"Danika Malik, Durmstrang."

"Raiden Kururugi, Hogwarts."

"Aleksandra Miroslav, Durmstrang."

"Miles Vorkosigan, Hogwarts."

"Noel Laurent, Beauxbatons."

"Monique Bernard, Beauxbatons."

"Vladimir Petrov, Durmstrang."

"Duncan Fletcher, Hogwarts."

"Nikolai Ognian, Durmstrang."

"Jermaine Rousseau, Beauxbatons."

"Cameron Caddock, Hogwarts."

Aw man, she didn't get picked, but... "Oh my... Raiden!" For a moment she forgot all about whatever could possibly be wrong and ran over to him. "Raiden! You were picked! Congratulations! I'm gonna be behind you and help you all the way!"

Raiden had turned his attention to Tate when the man had appeared and approached the Goblet, eyes curiously following him as the man picked it up and held it over his head.

When he heard his own name... he may have stopped breathing. His ears were... surely deceiving him or something. Eyes went wide and he stared at the Headmaster in complete, silent shock. His name had come out? His name had come out first for Hogwarts?

That... that thing had spit out his name.

Arabella-Marie was standing clapping as each of the champions names were announced and was pleased that Gryffindor had one of there prefects as champion she would be supporting all four hogwarts champions

Lina wrapped her arms around Raiden, excited and bouncing. "Raiden, aren't you excited?"

Oh My Jeez what was Oliver gonna say about this? The Slytherin raised an eyebrow slightly. Erm....Where WAS Oliver? In fact where were they both?

EEEP. Sadie started to turn to look around or him from where she stood. This was beyond crazy. He was in the triwizard tournament now! That meant he could die. She could hear chatter going on between others on who were just chosen. This now meant she had to support him. Unless of course she was mad at him again and than her support went to Beaxbaton boys.

Lauren bit her lip and clapped enthusiastically. She was happy for the hogwarts students who were picked and also she was happy to hear Nono's name being called "Go Nono!" She giggled and looked around for Rhea and Noel.

Evelyn wouldn't want to see him picked in general. "Nah, I wouldn't want you hurt from any of the tasks." Mostly because only she would want to hurt him. None of that tasks could touch him!

Blushing deeply, Jenn smiled sheepishly around at the people staring at her. She pretty much died of relief right then and there. And maybe embarressment. Either way she was in a state of awe. She and Kel hadn't been picked. Phew.

"Uh...um...GO HOGWARTS?!" she cried out after, trying to cover up her recent out burst.

Miles had been late. No he couldn't be late this was HIS one chance to prove to Ivan he wasn't a, what was he'd called him, a completely lame git? Running up to the age line he hopped up and down trying to see over someone taller than him. He was acting like a firstie waiting to get sorted. He wanted to get picked but at the same time...he didn't...what about the dragons? Swallowing he stuck his hands in his pockets and listened as Tate ran off a list of names. Raiden.... Sighing he bit his lip from protesting and instead looked for his buddy. Well at least he liked Raiden.

In his mental tangent he stopped listening to the Headmaster until he heard....Wait...me? Did he really say his name? His eyes going wide and his mouth opened he resembled a fish he was sure as his brain tried to catch up. A grin coming to his face he bounced up and down this time joyfully. HE WAS A CHAMPION!!!! He couldn't wait to tell Fi. Maybe she knew, maybe she was here. He tried to look around for her but couldn't see her around the crowd of people. He. Was. A. Champion. Had to be the best day of his life. He didn't even have time to worry about....the dragons...*gulp*.

Raiden carefully disentangled himself from Lina's arms. He... no bouncing right now, please. Please.

"I... I dunno."

Somewhere between excited and horrified, still. He just... blinked a bit more and stared at Tate. At least he'd said his name right.

Oh. OH THERE WAS MILES.

"MILES." Raiden took a deep breath and called out the other guy's name. The beginnings of a smile may have twitched at the corners of his lips. They... They had been picked. They'd WANTED it and they'd gotten picked. The excitement was starting to kick it up a notch.

Arabella-Marie just sat there with not that many people talking to her and she wanted to congratulate all the hogwarts champions but she didnt know any of them

Miles looked around as he heard his name and then spotted Raiden. Grinning he pursed his lips and looked around at the crowd he seemed to not believe in personal space.

Clearing his throat he squeezed by some people apologizing until he reached Raiden. "Hey buddy!" Smoothing out his robes and straightening his hair he sighed and grinned again at Raiden. "Champions eh? Gonna do this together," he smirked and kept his hands in his pockets. But THE DRAGONS?! He just could not stop the voice in the back of his head that was worried to death. Leaning in he whispered to Raiden so no one else could hear and unable to hide his own fear, "There's going to be dragons..."

"Hey. Hey." Miles' excitement was kinda infectious, and boosted Raiden's own up a bit. They were Champions together, and with Cameron and... whoever that other guy was. Raiden didn't know that one. "Of course we'll work together, man! Doesn't really matter who wins, as long as it's Hogwarts, right?"

Raiden was GRINNING now. This was awesome. And exciting. And scary, but AWESOME.

Until that moment.

"WHAT?!"

"Exactly!" Miles said with a grin and looked around at everyone seeing if he could see Cameron. He jumped almost off the floor as Raiden yelled though and giggled nervously as he placed his hand over Raiden's mouth, "Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. What's the matter with you?" And he was the one who was scared to death of them. He hadn't been able to sleep well since he found out.

Looking around at the people nearby he smiled, "He's just a little excited..." Raising an eyebrow at Raiden he shook his head. "We'll talk about that later. We need a game plan." And to figure out what the heck they might have to do.

Kellen blinked and looked over at Raiden. That... did not sound like a happy exclamation of joy. He worked his way through the crowd until he reached the champion... oh, two champions, hi Miles... and raised an eyebrow at Raiden.

"You okay?" Surely he couldn't be so yelp-y that his name came out? That... was why he'd put it in, wasn't it?

"DdsFAmarggwrs?!" MILES LET GO OF OUR FACE. Raiden's face had gone completely white again. DRAGONS?! DRAGONS?! What was the matter with him?! WHAT WAS THE MATTER WITH MILES?!

...calm down, Kururugi.

Calm down.

Panic is not awesome.

Taking a deep breath, he pushed Miles' hand off his mouth.

"I... sorry. It..." Deep breaths. "A little much. But... yeah. We'll... later."

Glancing at Kellen, he shook his head.

"'m... 'm fine. Just... shocked."

Miles laughed and stuck his hand in his pocket as Raiden pushed it away. As long as he calmed down they'd be cool. Looking at Kellen as he came up he smiled and rocked on his hills. Nope nothing going on here, nothing at all. Just talk about DRAGONS. He stopped rocking and shivered slightly at the thought. He was so not looking forward to that.

"It's a lot to take in you know? Just being picked as a champion for the whole school." Not to mention the talk of dragons.
