| | Age Line around the GoF
In the middle of the Entrance Hall, you can see the Goblet of Fire sitting on a table. Chalked in a neat line around the Goblet is an Age Line. Stand back and watch as your classmates put their names into the Goblet in hopes of becoming a Hogwarts champion. OOC Note: This is the thread where you can RP observing the Goblet and putting your name into it. Be aware that if you cross the age line and are not of age, dire things may happen to you. |

| Snake disguised as Raven Browncoat Dire things may happen, eh? Kellen didn't doubt it, and while he was technically of age and therefore could technically step inside the circle, he had no desire to. In fact, if he wasn't positive that it would get him in trouble, he was tempted to pull a penguin tactic and bump a smaller person over the line. Just to see. He was all Ravenclaw like that.
Still, the fact remained that people were going to come in here and put their names in the Goblet, and he wanted to see who felt up to the challenge. |

Alice saw the Goblet, If only I were a little older I would be running up to put my name in there. If it weren't for the whole age line, she would stick her name in anyway, however she didn't want to see the repercussions of that. Instead she would sit and watch the lucky people who got to put there names in.

IT WAS THE FUNNY GOBLET THINGIE MA BOBER!
*le gasp*
Savannah looked around at the other students, noticing they were all younger than she was. Do you wanna know what that meant ? THAT MEAN THEY COULDNT PUT THEIR NAME IN THE GLASS CUP THING! Savvy could though cause she was old enough. Hehhh. This cup thingie sounded dangerous so she didn't actually want to enter, she just wanted to like stand in the circle thing to prove she was old enough.
The blonde bit her lip, temptation. A big grin broke out on the blonde's face, she walked up to the line and then took a big dramatic step over the age line.
*beam*
Then guess what she did ? She did a little dance just to prove her point.
GIGGLE.

Vlad wasted no time in stepping up to the Goblet. He crossed the age line and acknowledged nowhere, only stopping for half a second to drop the parchment into the Goblet; Quote:

... before turning and stepping away.
Everything to him was business as usual... even such a phenomenon as this. He'd never done it before, never would again... did he care? Not really. He was in this to win, not look at big goblets and their flames and whatnot.

Dylan bounded into the Great Hall. Oh yeah. He was old enough. He had his name on a little piece of paper. He had been preparing for this all summer. He knew Lexi didn't want him to be chosen, but it wasn't up to her. He was going to do it. Eternal glory and all that. He dropped his little name in the goblet and bounded away again. Oh yeah.

Chloe walked into the Great Hall after the feast to see the Goblet that had been talked about. It looked astounding. She was in awe of it. Though she was not about to put her name in the Goblet and being 15 she could not. But she really did not want to. She had been through quite a bit at her old school and she really just did not want to put herself in that sort of situation willingly anyway. Those who would do that though. She could see it happening and they were quite ones to marvel.

Why was Vladimir always the first? Always. It was something she was used to, but still bothered her a little, especially when he came first in the eyes of Zitnik.
Danika followed him this time because there was no other choice, unless Hogwarts kept another Goblet of Fire in the school, which was not the case. There was that smug look on her face as she took the little blood-red parchment with her name in white and walked from the age line to the Goblet.
No problem there, considering she was already of age for the tournament. Unlike perhaps a certain kid she'd met in the Gryffindor table.
Yes, Danika Malik will be watching for Legend Chosen to enter his name....if he can.

| Shoe!Girl │ Rebel Ravie │ Confundus Queen │ RP Addict Leaving the Great Hall after the feast, Grayson's eyes lit up as soon as she saw the goblet in the Entrance Hall. It all really was happening, and she wanted to watch as much of it as possible. Since obviously she couldn't actually submit herself as a possible champion. There was the Age Line, and she watched as two Durmstrang people put pieces of paper inside the flaming Goblet. Along with a couple Slytherins that she didn't quite know. Creeping forward, just for the moment, she stopped with her toes just shy of touching the line to stare at the pretty flames for a second, before retreating to the main staircase. At least she could watch, to see if anyone she knew would submit their name. She didn't think Noel or Aleksandra had yet, at least, and she knew they would. Being Beauxbatons and Durmstrang. But she wasn't sure of any Hogwarts students she knew that could enter. So time to observe, and she knew just where to go. Pausing at the staircase, she then scrambled up onto the railing to perch there. Now she knew she'd be able to see, no matter who tried to stop in front of her to watch. Time to take in the excitement.

And Treyen would've totally, but totally, placed his name in the Goblet thingy if he was 17, but he wasn't.
He noticed an older boy who didn't enter his name, perhaps not 17 yet. "I wonder what would happen to those who aren't old enough" he said, talking to the older boy, maybe he knew what would happen? "Like...will the Goblet knock them to the other side or something?" he continued to wonder, eying the Goblet of Fire blue flames.
Pretty flames. Very pretty flames. Grin.

Miles walked into the Entrance Hall and swallowed as he saw the goblet of fire and the age line on the ground around it. Well there was no worry as far as that was concern at least. Looking down at the little sheet of parchment in his hands and then around at everyone who was watching he started to feel a little nervous. This was something he wanted more than anything right now but it'd make him emotionless and inhuman if he wasn't a little nervous.
Taking a deep breath he carried the piece of parchment with him as he placed on foot over the age line and then his other. Trying not to look at anyone around him he approached the goblet and then looked down at the parchment again. Reaching his hand up he dropped the parchment into the goblet, catching site of his name again before it disappeared Quote:

Letting his breath out slowly he turned around and headed up to his common room feeling excited.

SHE. WAS. MAD.
Like seriously mental. But she wanted to do it. She wanted to prove that she wasn't just some Blonde and that her OWL's were a fluke or whatever.
But her main priority? She didn't want to die. Not at all. There were too many people she would leave behind. All of her loved ones. Not only the people IN Hogwarts but the ones outside too. But at least if she did perish, she would go out doing something worthwhile yes?
Trix was old enough though. She was born May 2056 and would be turning 17 that year. So that made her perfectly eligible didn't it? She would be able to cross the line without any trouble at all. She practically stood there staring for a while at the the Goblet, debating over whether she wanted to do it or not, a piece of paper held firmly up in her hand. Her name and School imprinted on it with black ink, the handwriting clear and neat from her Quill.
She took one weary step forward and she had crossed the line, walking slowly forward to the Goblet, which was very pretty might she add, and dropped her name down into the fire. Then turned and made her way back out of the age line.
MAD!

Brittany eyes sparkled as she saw the goblet. She would have never dream she would see one up close and personal. She knew these competitions were rare. She stood very far away from the line because she didnt want anything to happen to her.

As Adeline skipped looking around she saw a group of people around a goblety thing. Hehehehe. This reminded her of the time Sam started dancing on the table in the midde of lunch at the muggle school. Hehehe she walked a little closer right before the line. She put her finger past the line really quick and giggled. She had the erge to run into it. But eeekk. She didn't wan't anything harsh to happen on her first day. She put her hands on her hips and just starred at people starring at it. She took a final look and ran away.

Pretty flames. Very pretty flames. Grin. Kellen glanced down at the younger boy. He looked small enough, surely a tiny little push... "Probably something far more spectacular," he mused, "like growing another eyeball or getting all wrinkled like someone's great grandmother."
That was certainly why Kellen was sitting here. If some firstie was silly enough to try it, he didn't want to find out from a third party. This year, Kellen was going to make more of an attempt to be present at stuff like this. "Or maybe they'll get shot up to the ceiling and have to hang from a rafter by their undergarments until a professor comes to get them down."
The grin he gave the kid had a 'you think of one' look to it. |

The grin he gave the kid had a 'you think of one' look to it. Treyen was curious. But was he curious enough to try it?
His eyes widened when the older boy started on some theories. "You think?! That would be awesome!" he exclaimed, can you imagine having another eye? Like, how will one's vision be? That seemed like something normal people would wonder, no?
But he frowned, the other theory just didn't seem likely to happen. "I think I kinda like the wall thing better...unless the Goblet got to eat you...or chose you to be killed in one of the challenges" he said, the darker punishments seem more likely indeed.
But, lookit! There are no Professors around. |

Many were curious onlookers like himself, but there were already a few that have crossed the marker. He narrowed his eyes when he saw Durmstrang Vlad stride in confidently and dropped his name into the goblet, followed by a rather pretty red head that Salander guessed was also from Durmstrang I wonder if she's as mean as the other two I've already met. he wondered, starting to form the assumption that Durmstrang= mean kids.
He glanced up to see a blonde Ravenclaw perched up the railing of the staircase. Smart. he grinned as he climbed a few steps up the stairs. Facing the crowd and the goblet at the center of them, Salander leaned over to the Ravenclaw "Nice view." he complimented.

He was pumped, he was ready. He was going to do this. He took a few deep breaths and stood and watched as a few students dropped their names into the goblet. Ok so the Dumstrang Giant was the first up. That wasn't a big surprise. But a few of the Hogwarts students were. So he had as good of a chance as anyone.
He scrambled up the stairs to avoid letting himself give into his nerves and chickening out. He pulled out a scrap piece of parchment that had a drawing on it. He smiled as he saw his baby brother's crude drawing on the paper. He carefully tore around it and scribbled his name on it before dropping it into the goblet. Quote: Dillon Greenwood
Hogwarts Diggy took a deep breath and smiled to himself. That was easier than he thought it was going to be.

The grin he gave the kid had a 'you think of one' look to it. He wasn't entirely sure what he was doing as he stepped into the room housing the Goblet of Fire, wasn't too sure why he was folding up a peice of paper with his name on it into such a small square only a mouse could find it. He was sure, however, that his logic was going to be tested as soon as he saw the infamous Ravenclaw looking rather smug. For a moment he paused and watched the other boy, considering whether he was here for the show or to participate.
A small smile crossed his lips at the amusement in Stern's eyes. Definitely looking for some popcorn and free movie-like-entertainment. It was simply his way. Slipping up beside his friend, he gave the other a small nudge with his elbow, towards the line. It was a brief wonderment of what amusement would result if the dark haired boy actually crossed the line; he would just need a pen and piece of parchment after that.

Skipping, because she wasn't a sneaky puff, she glanced at all the students and noticed two familiar faces. They would know what everyone was doing in the entrance after the opening feast. "What's up guys?" She had managed to squeeze herself in between the two sixth years and was grinning up at them with a curious expression. Yea. She had completely missed the goblet of fire that was position in the middle of the crowd. It obviously meant little to the third year. What did catch her attention though, was the smaller person on the other side of Kellen. "Hey Treyen!" Did he know why everyone was out here just, standing. Maybe they were making smores. Mmm.

Treyen had been late to watch anyone enter their name, except for that girl who totally belonged in Durmstrang. The flips and all.
But then...
... "You just put your name in the Goblet! That's wicked!" he exclaimed, gesturing towards the other older boy, this one was old enough, because nothing had happened after the crossed the Age Line. Or so Treyen thinks, because he can't see the Age Line anywhere.
Yes, the little Hufflepuff was excited, he'd seen someone from Hogwarts enter! Awesomeness. "And you're a Gryffindor..." based on the robes, "...if you get selected I'll root for you" he nodded, and he'll root for the boy, just because he was the first one Treyen saw putting his name in the Goblet.
Odd logic. Quote:

He only heard the part were NO-Quidditch was involved during the Headmaster's speech, so he didn't pay attention to the most important one.
Treyen was...disappointed. And a frown was very explicitly forming across his face. That would be awful. Retaking a year. Awful, very awful. "I guess you're right, the ones who could die are the ones who placed their names in the Goblet" true, the boy nodded, forgetting that there was a boy close by who just happened to put his name there.
But, Treyen was curious, "Aren't you old enough?" he asked, tilting his head to one side.

Kellen's gaze shifted from Sabel down to Arya, and one of his eyebrows raised as she missed the obvious. Not particularly inclined to fill her in, he quipped, "The sky." The reaction had been well worth it, and for the first time since the gates to Hogwarts had opened, he found himself grinning rather stupidly at his friend. "Who knows? I've heard Bott is back this year. I'm sure she would gun for you all the way." Cue wink and nudge and slipping the folded piece of paper into the flat of his hand, away from prying eyes. Not that it would really matter when he stepped over the line. Le sigh. Quote:

They would know what everyone was doing in the entrance after the opening feast. "What's up guys?" She had managed to squeeze herself in between the two sixth years and was grinning up at them with a curious expression. Yea. She had completely missed the goblet of fire that was position in the middle of the crowd. It obviously meant little to the third year. What did catch her attention though, was the smaller person on the other side of Kellen. "Hey Treyen!" Did he know why everyone was out here just, standing. Maybe they were making smores. Mmm. His attention was diverted slightly by Kellen's response to the Hufflepuff that had squished up beside them. With the same smile that had been elicited by Kellen's slight flailing, he glanced down to their friend. "Goblet of Fire. And Kellen here is either looking for a peanut gallery of support, or is providing the commentary on the first student underage that steps across the line." Quote:

But then...
..."You just put your name in the Goblet!
Odd logic.[/color] OOC: Sorry, I probably wrote that poorly beforehand...he didn't slip his name in yet...I shall...attempt clarification XD My apologies again. Or you know, someone could just point out what his intentions were before he had chance to debate them. The smile faded to a tight-lipped one as he glanced over at the boy, wondering why he had to announce it to the world (not that subtly was going to do anyone any good here). "Urrr...not yet." With slight reluctance he held up the folded piece of paper. He had come from the opposite side of the room, near where the Goblet was, had passed close to it too, so he really couldn't blame the boy for picking him out as someone that had entered his name. "I ... appreciate the support though."

But Treyen...he saw...the boy narrowed his eyes a bit at the Goblet. He was not liking that thing anymore, it was making him see stuff that wasn't happening.
Not nice, Goblet.
Still, "Why not?" he asked, because clearly, the boy had thought of it, no? If he had the piece of paper then he must have thought of it. It was an opportunity that Treyen wouldn't miss, to enter his name, even if he was no long friends with the silly Goblet. Can you imagine his sister having a Triwizard Champion? Yes, she'll like that. "Aren't you old enough?" like the other boy.
