Brittany was extremely intimidated by this professor!. And it didnt help that she was hounding them for answers about a potion she knew nothing about. Since she was a first year she hoped that would work to her advantage and help her stay as invisble as possible... well until she knew an answer. Then she would shine like a light bulb. But until she sat quietly and wrote down the things that had gotten a green light from the professor.

"umm well sliced caterpillar can be used to shrink things" Urgh she hoped that didn't sound to stupid. Amy had never heard of it having any real magical properties. She just hoped that was right. and did she say that WE will sample this potion *gulp*...

Emmaleigh had been thinking hard about this, until finally she raised her hand. "Um, M-maybe some sliced l-leeches, or just some leech j-juice? I think they are used in p-polyjuice potion, and shrinking s-solution, which might m-mean they are useful in t-transforming an individual." Yeah, this was ust a guess, and she hoped she wouldn't get yelled at for being wrong. After all, it had taken a lot of courage for her to even speak up.

Ha? How did she hear them whispering? This woman had some ears, had not she? Yet, Josh was not going to give up his idea about making her drink the de-ageing potion. He really wanted to see a younger Lafay so as she spoke, Josh simply smiled and said ''Yes, professor''. Okay then, he was not going to whisper again yet this did not mean that he would quit discussing the topic with his friends.

Therefore as the whole class discussed the ingredients to the potion, Josh took a piece of parchment and quill from his bag and started to write pretending that he was taking notes of the ingredients.



Then having an eye on the woman, he carefully passed the piece of parchment to his friends.

"Would one of them be Lacewing Flies, professor? If I'm not mistaken, I think those are used in the Polyjuice Potion as well..." Ever-Lily raised an eyebrow in fake thought. Didn't wanna get on Lafay's bad side now, did she?

"Boomslang skin Professor?" Salander suggested "I mean other than its a Polyjuice ingredient its also because snakes have been associated with immortality, so that kinda counts if your aim is to become young again innit?" Eh, worth a guess.

"Shea butter is a good guess, but we are not making an unction, we are making a potion so that's not going to be used." She said to the boy.

"Nope... don't think mind. Think body." She said and moved on.

"Which nuts, be specific." She told her.

"Moonstone is correct. Which color though?" She asked.

"We are trying to regress here." She said shaking her head. "No avocado."

"Yes, bicorn horn is one of the more powerful ingredients." She said.

"No... but they'd help you, Fletcher." She said raising an eyebrow.

"You know me well, but instead of peppermint leaves, we're adding peppermint candy. The sweetness will help in the regression, which the peppermint will kill the nausea."

"That's just for the eyes really... it's not an active ingredient." She said.

"Again, we are not trying to prevent aging, we are trying to regress you." She said.

"Perfect, yes. Shrivelfigs. Next?" She asked.

"Very much so. Knotgrass is indeed an ingredient of this potion." She told them.

"Good." She said and nodded.

"Leech juice is an ingredient. We need very little." She said.

"Yes. Just two lacewing flies."

"Actually. No, that's more associated with morphing someone's face... but when you are just de-aging, your features won't change all that much. Just become younger." She told the boy.

"Good Job. What's the first thing you have to do?" They better know this by now...

Heheh, yea, she got a PERFECT!

Pfft, did anyone else get a perfect? Well, Evelyn didn't know because she wasn't paying attention. If they did, then boo to them. Her perfect was better then theirs. So...THERE! Twiddling with her quill, her gaze crossed the whole room before resting on Josh. Oh, Josh was here! Hehe, Josh.

*distracted*

But not for long! She blinked a few times before her focus rested on the Professor as she asked her next question. Eh. "Clean your cauldron?" Right? She didn't need her personal space invaded again, thank you very much.

Oooh Mia knew this...sort of. She raised her hand in the air and almost pulled it out of it's socket. "Make sure everything is clean" She said clearly proud of herself. .

First thing? Cameron frowned. There were a few things..

"Clean your area and.. cauldron, I suppose. " Who knew what had been cooking on these benches before hand..

Gr. Cookie Hating girl had beaten her to the answer. Kurumi felt like adding more and saying you should clean everything before you began, but she decide to avoid scary cooking hating girl's glare and instead got out a fresh piece of parchment to begin writing her notes.

Eh, okay it was a good try he supposed. He raised his hand again and answered her next question "Make sure your materials are clean and in good working order.". He said as he showed his cauldron to be without cracks or holes then scourgified it in front of her. He'll take the scalding another day thanks.

"Yes, clean! The top of the five C's of potion making." She said and wrote on the board the ingredients:

1 gallon of goat's milk.
1 tsp of crushed Yellow Moonstone
2 lacewing flies
10 Shrivelfigs
2 tbsp of chopped knotgrass
1 drop of Leech juice
5 drops Pomegranite juice
1 tsp bicorn horn, crushed
1 phoenix tear
1 daisy root, finely chopped
2 sprigs of Fluxweed
2 peppermint toads
1 chocolate frog
1 liquorish wand

"Start by cleaning your cauldrons and filling them with goat's milk."

WHEE! She'd gotten it right. *smirk* Copying down the potions list as a reference for exams, she then took out her wand and cast quick 'Tergeo' and 'Scourgify' charms on her cauldron. OOH! Lookit it sparkle! Vanquishing the dust and other.. yuck stuff on her bench, she scourgified it and grinned. NOW. To fill the thing with goat's milk. And one gallon of the stuff. Whoah. That was a lot. Dashing to the store cupboard, she grabbed some milk and measured a gallon before taking it back to her bench and pouring it carefully into her cauldron. Twas just like baking a cake.

Picking up her wand, Mia pointed it inside of her cauldron. "Scourigfy." She muttered and then started singing a tune while she cleaned out her cauldron.

When that was finished, Mia picked up the gallon of goats milk and poured it into her cauldron and then waited for the next instructions.

Having just demonstrated cleaning his cauldron to the Professor, Salander began to measure out the goats milk into his cauldron

Kurumi picked up her quill and began writing notes.



Kurumi then took out her wand and began inspecting her station and cauldron to make sure everything was spotless. No exploding or falling over cauldrons today please! After casting Scourigfy several times and inspecting everything to make sure there wasn't even a finger print on her cauldron, she measured 1 gallon of goat's milk and pour it into her spotless cauldron.

Emmaleigh smiled at the fact that she had guessed one of the ingredients right, and then she quickly wrote down the ingredients for the potion.

*gulp* yeah, Em knew to clean her cauldron. after all, she didn't want the professor to yell at her. She carefully pulled her wand out from her holster, she had decided to be right handed today. She pointed it at her cauldron and said Scourgify She then cast the spell on the rest of her equipment, because it was better to be safe, than yelled at by Lafay.

She then measured out an exact gallon of Goat's milk, and poured it into her cauldron. She didn't place it on the burner yet, because, well she wasn't sure if she was supposed to.

Giving no answers, the girl jotted down notes as the class discussed the potion they would be brewing and its ingredients. She wasn't sure how she felt about being transformed to her toddler self, even if only for a few minutes. Listing the ingredients, she then picked up her wand and aimed it at her cauldron's inside.

"Scourigfy." The girl silently cleaned her cauldron, repeating the process for safe measures. Once done with that step she poured gallon of goat's milk into the cauldron. Writing down the steps in her journal when done with both.

So many people were offering ideas as to ingredients for the de-again potion, that Grayson sort of got left behind. Except she'd been taking notes like mad. It didn't really bother her that her comment about how the potion could have been more than just a physical thing had been sort of shot down. She hadn't expected it to be more than just a way of pointing out that it was possible, anyway. And now they were going to start brewing, and her excitement ratcheted up again. As it always did when potions were involved. Not to mention she found the idea of a goat milk base fascinating, as most other potions she'd brewed were basic water-based ones. But first to clean her cauldron. At least nobody had raised Professor Lafay's ire yet, as they'd gotten that step established before anyone could slip up. Running a quick Scourgify over her cauldron, she picked it up afterward and carefully examined it. Still looked as perfect as it could, having been used for as many potions as it had been. So now to start the potion, and she quickly noted the ingredients list down before starting.

Once that was done, though, she quietly got up and went over to retrieve the required milk. A gallon was a lot, but if that was what was needed, that was what she'd get. Returning to her cauldron, she took a breath before slowly pouring the milk into her spotless cauldron. There was no way she was going to spill any, even if she had the capability of messing up that way. Now she just had to wait to find out the next step, if they were introducing heat yet or who knew what.

Ingredients:

Process:

1. Make sure cauldron and all equipment are clean and intact. As always, materials that do their job is best.
2. Measure out a gallon of goat's milk and pour carefully into cauldron.

Serena picked up her quill and after dipping it carefully in her ink she wrote down what the Professor had wrote on the board.



Serena picked up her wand and pointed at her cauldron. "Scourgify". she said clearly to make sure that not an speck of dirt was missed. "Perfect!" the young witch thought to herself. Now it was time for the goat's milk to be added.

She placed her wand back down on her desk and carefully measured and poured her gallon of goat's milk into the cauldron. After Serena was done with that step, she awaited the teacher's next instructions.

...wait a minute.

Raiden froze, gaze on the board, his quill pausing over his notebook. That... that couldn't be right. Surely the professor was joking.

"Professor..." His hand raised slowly, eyes narrowing ever so slightly. "Are you sure that list is right?" His hand moved, indicating the ingredients list, and pointing at one in particular. "Phoenix tears? They're supposed to be essentially impossible to get, since there's so few domesticated phoenixes in the world, and it's more difficult still to get those few to cry."

He would know. Their healing properties would have been useful when he was younger, but getting hold of a phoenix, much less phoenix tears, had proved impossible. And for them to be going into such a commonly made potion...

Cass rolled up her sleeves, brought out her wand from its holster and cast the cleaning charm on her cauldron, then she turned the heavy cauldron over to check for damages before pouring the gallon of goat milk inside the cauldron. Then she placed her cauldron over the fire and prepared her other ingredients while waiting for the next step.

Freya copied the ingredients to her parchment. After finished coping the ingredients, she pulled out her wand and pointed it to her cauldron before muttering "Scourgify". She made sure that her cauldron was clean before continuing to the next step. She grabbed the goat milk and poured it to her cauldron. After she was done pouring the milk, she waited for the next instruction.

Alex copied the ingredients. Double-checking so she won't mess her potion. She cleaned her cauldron and started measuring the milk....she poured it in the cauldron and waited for the next step...
