Cadence smiled and nodded in understanding. The number of NEWTs, so that meant if that was what she decided to do, she should continue taking as many classes as she possibly could. Wowza. That was a lot of NEWT level classes. "So, it would be teaching them basic skills: reading, writing, math... things like that?" she asked, thinking of standing in front of a classroom of little kids and explaining to them how to read. In spite of herself, Cadence couldn't help but smile at that idea. "Oh! And are there only specific campuses that have that program?" she asked quickly before she forgot that question.

"Take a couple of pens, if you want," Copernicus shrugged, settling back into a chair and putting an arm around Celandine. "You're more than welcome to any of the free stuff in the baskets, actually."

"It would be, and I'm sure they teach those sorts of things at university, even if they don't teach them HERE," Cope laughed at that. Imagine taking a NEWT in reading... of all things.

"I do believe most of the campuses offer a program, but you'd be better to stay in Edinburgh or Italy if you wanted to be sure you were learning to teach within a European education system. Salem or Montreal if you wanted to learn something similar... only not."

Cadence laughed a little as she assumed the man had misunderstood her. "No, I mean in primary education, those are the sort of things a teacher would be teaching his or her students. You see, I don't know how the wizarding education system works, really. I'm half and half, and when I was younger my parents insisted on sending me to Muggle primary school because they want me to be able to function effectively in both worlds," she explained to the man. "But I imagine children from wizard families learn the same sort of things I did in primary school, just with a magical twist, yes?" she said, seeking further clarification.

"Edinburg or Italy," she repeated. "Well, i definitely want to stay in the European education system, and those sound like lovely places to go to school!" Okay, it was official. Cadence was starting to get rather excited about the future now, and she couldn't wait to go talk to Mr. Masterson and see what he had to say about all of this.

Marie still didn't know why she was at the job fair. After all she was only thirteen and not really ready to decide what she wanted to do after leaving Hogwarts. So now here she was, at the Wizarding Univerity table. Only now she wasn't alone, she had Destiny with her. Maybe they would be able to decide what they thought they might want to do with their lives, you know when they grow up and all.

Kennedy grinned as another student approached the table. "Hey there, help yourself to some of our free items," Kennedy gestured to the baskets with items representing the international campuses. "Pick up a brochure and take a look. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!"

Quite happy just to sit there attentively and listen to people ask about stuff, Celandine daydreamed a bit. She felt safe since Cope was right there and all. After a while though she sighed regretfully. Rounds. She had to do those. She leaned up, gave Copernicus the teeeeeeny tiiiiiiiiiiniest chaste-for-her kiss on the cheek, stood up and waggled her fingers at him.

"I'll meet you before dinner." She informed Copernicus and then she left and possibly swung past the Quidditch booth to take a peek at the Quidditch God.

One day, Cela'd quite like a pet Clifford. One that would fetch and wag its tale and take care of pesky gnomes and eat everything in sight and be big and red.

All Cliffords were good Cliffords, basically.

"To be honest, I'm not sure. I was homeschooled myself, but my understanding is that magical education is not required or permitted until the child is 11, so it makes sense they would have traditional subjects." He nodded along as she enthused about the European schools before adding," Make sure you take all sorts of free stuff, then, so you remember to apply when you're a seventh year."

Oh, that was a shame. He watched Celandine wander off before turning his attention back to the table. The world needed more sweet-and-pretty girlfriends in it, clearly.

Cadence nodded once again as the man spoke, showing her understanding. "Right, well, that's fine! I suppose I can just owl someone in the Primary Education Department and ask those questions then, right?" she asked with a smile. As he told her to take loads of free stuff, she practically jumped at chance. Who would say no to free stuff? Reaching back into the baskets, she took something from every single one of them, stuffing them in her pockets. Turning back at the man, she smiled brightly and said, "Thank you so much for all your help!" And then she turned and walked away from the table, thinking hard about her future.

Ellie walked up to another kiosk thingy.

"Wizarding University? What's this all about?" she asked absently. She didn't want to take a pamphlet and waste paper...

Mmmhmmm. Right. The muggles were. And he was oh-so-proud to be half-blood for that same reason. He had muggle relatives. Something his sister didn't seem to appreciate as much as he did.

Treyen nodded, but his eyes went over to Kennedy.

He was truly listening and nodding, until he heard 'History of Magic'. As beneficial as it could be, and as much as he loved to read books, he had some difficulty with that particular class. Great.

"So, I could be focusing on, let's say, Care of Magical Creatures in the school and it wouldn't matter if I'd want to enter the Literature world, then?" he sort of asked, though, something made sense, "Well, I guess that's why there are books that relate to one thing in particular, because their writer excelled at said particular subject" like Gilderoy, with Dark Creatures, such a brave, brave man.

"I think what you say makes sense" he agreed, then eyed the free stuff, "One other thing...it says 'one per student', so I only get to chose from one campus, right?" or...could he, like, get a frog, and get something else from the free stuff, or just the frog?

"One is more than fine, thank you," Gold said cheerfully. "But I happen to have quite a love for snakes, so I'll take this, if it's okay?" She picked up one of the charmed, toy snakes. It was really, really cute. Plus, it reminded her of the set of miniature dragons, she had had for quite a while. Gold was awfully fond of that. Though she knew it was likely much, much more expensive than the charmed cuuuute snake-and-its-basket.

"Thanks, again!" She beamed at Copernicus. "Have a nice time." Petting the little snake, she wandered off.

"Wizarding University is the best choice for the witch or wizard who wants to pursue a career that requires additional study, or for advancement with a career with limited internship or training options in the real world. We have 12 campuses," Copernicus pointed at the pamphlets. "Please feel free to take one of anything. We have plenty."

"No, it's one of each per student, but I'm closing up soon, so you can take a couple if you want to," Copernicus offered.

The question was directed at Kennedy, but Copernicus offered assistance. "I think she just means that multiple subjects have more to offer than just their subject matter, including critical thinking and discernment of texts, which are important in pursuing a Literature course of study."

Ellie nodded, understandingly.

"What kind of jobs require extra training?" she asked, eyeing the pamphlets that she wasn't taking. Hehehehe.

Treyen grinned.

And...oooooh...yes...that made sense. Somehow.

"Thank you! And good luck with your studies" he said, with a firm nod, before grabbing one of those funny looking frog, er, keychain, and one multicolored calligraphy pen. Just because it was multicolored, see?
