"The Wizarding population is small, you know? Much smaller than the Muggle population. Most wizards go directly into the workforce after leaving school, so there's an even slimmer population going on to university. Unfortunately, we simply don't have the numbers to support three campuses in Europe, and the UK and Italian campuses are... well, really old," Cope explained. "There are smaller universities in France that are no part of the Wizarding University network."
"I know." Gold smiled, slightly. She got his point, but she had a question, to ask. "The pre-healer program," she said, thoughtfully. "Mr. Malik, at the Healers' booth - he said there are a few good institutes for pre-healer studies and specialization, in France. Would they be a better option than, say, one of your campuses?" No bias, there. She only wanted to keep her options open, and make sure she made the right choice.
Of course, she still had time to decide. Two years, more or less. But that didn't mean she needed to wait that long, to make her choice. Time tends to fly too fast, sometimes. Escape one.
Treyen eyed him, "He seems to think you know more about the Literature programs" he started to say, gesturing towards the other young man, "Are there any classes required here at Hogwarts? Or, they don't relate much to the program?" because he knew his granpa didn't attend an University, yet he wrote, more like a hobby, but still...wrote things.
Kennedy shook her head and explained, "I wouldn't say that there are any classes required, but there are certainly courses that would be beneficial. For example, a course like History of Magic not only teaches you how to critically read a variety of written works, but it also provides some historical perspective when reading classic pieces of literature, and even some of the more contemporary pieces too."
Cadence made her way into the Job Fair, looking around at all of the booths. Her work in Arithmancy has gotten her very interested in her future, but she still had no idea what exactly she wanted to do. All the booths had specific jobs at them, but Cadence didn't know what specific thing she was interested in. Then, she saw the booth for Wizarding University. "OO! That sounds like fun!" she said before making her way to the booth. Looking into the baskets, she reached for the Italy basket, pulling out a cool looking pen. Picking up one of the pamphlets, she began flipping through it, reading about Wizarding University and all the different options.

"You would probably have to get the name of those facilities from Mr. Malik, to be honest," Copernicus answered, his tone earnest. "I think you would have to compare the programs for precisely what you want. Each has their strengths, I'm sure. There are Pre-Healer programs at our campuses, though, and I've heard good things about them."

"Take one of the magic carpet bookmarks too," Copernicus pushed the basket at the girl. "Let me know if you have any questions."

Lalalala. She was just a regular student interested in furthering her education.
Copernicus gave the approaching Head Girl a very polite smile. "Well, hello. Are you interested in pursuing additional education at a Wizarding University? You seem to have some interest in the programs... I can assure you the programs have interest in you."

Almost bursting at the seams with happiness, Celandine kept her voice politely curious. "Oh I did wonder about one particular program. I'm not sure if its more Astronomy or History, but I am very interested in studying... Copernicus."
She twitched a little smile and rummaged through the sample bowls.

Copernicus gave a curious look at Kennedy and the rest of the visitors at the table... eh. Would it really surprise them if he continued to flirt with the Head Girl? It shouldn't.
He turned a smile on Celandine Toussaint. "I happen to be an expert in that field." Pause. "Hello, Shiny."

"I want to be an expert some day too. Maybe you can teach me everything you know?" Cela said lightly and then bit her lip and leaned on the table.
"Hi." She whispered, beginning to sloooowly sidle around the table.

"I think you know more than you give yourself credit for," Copernicus scooted around the table to meet her, giving Cela a squeeze and a kiss before putting her back on her feet.
"Well, look at me. It took me four years, but I finally get to kiss the Head Girl. Who can say that?"

Ahem.
Trying not to smile too much, Cela brushed herself down and made sure he hadn't mussed her.
"Only you." She paused and gave him looks. "Today."
Though if they were being technical... Celandine decided not to bring up technicalities.
"Can I sit with you?" She asked quietly.

Right. "Thank you," Gold said. She blinked, then, when Cela came over and the nice!guy kissed her and stuff. Oh, wait. This must be Copernicus, then. She beamed at Cela, wavvved to her, and then gave Cope a polite smile. "I think I'll get going. I can keep the brochure, right?"

"Please. I want to hear how the term is going, but I have to..." And then someone spoke to him.

She wanted a free T-shirt.
POUT.
"You can keep the brochure, and you should take some free stuff here," he poked a couple of the baskets before handing her a sticker. "Do you want to fill out an application today?"

"Its okay." She nodded, she could wait. Just being there was enough. And maybe she'd ask about a few things too.

"Thanks." Gold folded up the brochure all neatly, and eyed it for a second. She still wanted a PINK T-shirt. She could get a pink one, right? Then Cope spoke again, and she looked up, only having heard half of his sentence. Something about an application.

He tugged her hair gently, just once, before turning back to the girl at his table.

"What for?" She asked, cheerfully.
"Fine there, Cel?"
"An application to... enroll? It isn't a commitment, but it certainly gets the ball rolling. And that's when you would get a t-shirt..." But no one had filled out an application so far, and they had all these t-shirts. "What programs are you interested? Any specific campus?"

Gold frowned, a bit. What did he mean, by that? "Sorry?" she asked, cheerfully. "An application to enroll that isn't a commitment?" Right. How did that work, now? If he could pretty please explain.
"Egypt," she said, at once. Next best thing, to France. "Pre-Healer Studies and Runes." ZOMG! Runes! ".... and I sort of want to look at the tombs there, you know? I've always wanted to see if I can be a curse-breaker, some day." Healing was more important to her, though.

Not that he would want to know that.
He frowned back at her, not sure how he'd lost her. This was all pretty standard in applying to university, but perhaps he only knew that because he'd applied to several. "It simply means that applying to WU doesn't mean that you have to go, but it will hold a spot for you should you decide to go. The admissions office knows that applicants have several irons in the fire and ultimately may decide not to attend."
He rummaged beneath the table and pulled out a t-shirt. Pre-healer, in pink. "How's that?"

"It will hold a spot for me?" What if her grades weren't up to the university's standards? Hers were plenty fine, of course, but what if they hadn't been? Did she still get the T-shirt? AND did she get a cute, pink one?
Apparently, she did.
ZOMG!Pink.
Gold wanted to be all grabby hands but, thankfully, managed to refrain from such a show of lack of manners. "Perfect. I would like to apply, then," she said cheerfully. Egypt!rawwwrr.
"Take one of the magic carpet bookmarks too," Copernicus pushed the basket at the girl. "Let me know if you have any questions."
Cadence smiled up at the man kindly. "Oh! Thank you!" she replied, taking one of the bookmarks and studying it. At first, she considered just walking away. She was a bit young to reply, and the Head Girl was here now, so what university would want to talk to Cadence over the Head Girl? Instead, though, she stood her ground and look back at the man. "Actually, I do have some questions. About your pre-Healer and your education programs," she said, looking back down at the pamphlet and waiting for his response.

"Those are actually two of our oldest campuses, just steeped in tradition and history." Which were two things Copernicus could really appreciate.
"If you have a specific area of study you are interested in, I could tell you more about the programs there. Are you a seventh year now?"
Ryder wasn't actually sure quite what he wanted to study. "Yes, I am," he told them, "but I don't quite know what I want to study." He thought about it for a minute before asking, "What areas do they specialize in?"
"Maybe it would help to make a list of what you're interested in, and try to draw a career possibility out of that. I don't think I would ever have thought 'Gosh, I really want to go live in the desert and play in the dirt', and no one here at Hogwarts could have anticipated it... but when I realized my greatest interests were in history and languages, it seemed a natural."
The concentrated frown on Jake's face didn't seem to lift. The stall was getting a little more crowded and he wasn't too sure he liked it. He had his information, and that was it.
"Yyyeah..." the boy said slowly, blinking at the booth. Maybe wandlore was the way to go. "I ttthhink I need to... thhhink more about it."
GUH!
Seeing that Cope was busy with the Head Girl and other people, Jake took the opportunity to quietly slip away.

But she wanted to apply! Awesome! Copernicus shoved an application across the table at her. "Grab one of those pens from the Italy basket, and you can fill it out. Or if you'd rather take it with you..."

"What would you like to know?"

Cadence nodded, still smiling at the man. "Yes, sir. I'll go talk to them after I leave here, then. Maybe I'll just ask you about your Education program then? What NEWTs do you have to have to get in? And by Primary Magical Education, do you mean before Hogwarts? Because I think I might like that! Teaching younger children!" she said in an excited voice. Cadence had never really thought about her future before because she had spent so much time dwelling on the past.

"Yes, Primary Education refers to pre-Hogwarts education," Copernicus nodded. "Typically, the education placement is based more on a number of NEWTs rather than on specific ones, simply because the subjects areas aren't reflective of what you need to teach younger children who are pre-magical education. They also rely more heavily on the essay and the interview."
He released the t-shirt. "Its a conditional acceptance, of course... dependent on your NEWT scores."

"I thought as much," Gold said, politely.
She reached out for a pen - little items! How cuuute! - and, scanning through the application to see if it really was something she wanted to fill, did. Filled it out, that is. Then she handed it back, and gave him another tiiinyy smile. Because he was awesome, since he was with Cela.
"I think I'll keep it," she said, after a moment's pause. "It's sort of memorable, now. My first university application?"
