Mina walked into the room and took a deep breath. She nerves were just getting the best of her. Transfiguration had never been something she wasn’t capable of, but there was a part of her that was concerned about just how well she would fair and all. She wasn’t one to fail or even attempt to do something only half way. No, that wasn’t the Bennett way at all. She was going to approach with final like she did all her other finals, she was going in and giving it 150%, if not more.
Finally, she focused on the room for which she did just enter. It was time to do this, she was ready and there was no real need to delay when it was best to just move forward and get it over with. Looking around she took notice of the four stations and the lack of chairs. Yes, this wasn’t going to be all that terrible, she told herself as she made her way to the first station.

Station one is a regular desk. On it is a simple silver bracelet set on top of a picture. The picture if of the original item: a Hogwarts tie. The instruction sheet on the table reads: revert the bracelet to its original state.
Standing before the desk, she picked up the bracelet with one hand and then the picture with the other. Looking at the picture, she nodded as she thought back to their first lesson. She had managed to return her own bracelet back to its original state back then, this shouldn’t be all that difficult she told herself. Yes, she was pretty confident that she could do it without too much difficulty.
Setting the picture down, she reached for her wand. In her mind, she pictured the bracelet in her hand as a Ravenclaw house tie.
A navy and silver silk tie. Lifting her wand, she envisioned the tie clearing in her mind and cast
Reverto as she tapped the bracelet and gave it a swirl. In the place of the bracelet was now a
Ravenclaw House tie. Holding it up, she gave it a look and smiled. She had done it and it looked nearly perfect, if she could say so herself. With the tie in hand, she skipped off to the next station.

Station two is a stool upon which rests a pink Frisbee. The instruction sheet beneath it reads: make a watch.
Moving toward the station, she noticed it was a stool and not a desk. Shrugging, she stopped for the stool and looked at the pink Frisbee a top it. Taking note of its shape and colour, she focused on her task. Envisioning a wristwatch, she practiced moving her wand in a circular motion.
Silver and pink wristwatch. With a clear picture of the wristwatch in her mind, she again moved her wand in a tight circular motion, round and round, followed by a flick as she cast
Horolus in a clear and precise voice.
Now setting a top the stool was a nice
silver and pink watch. Picking it up, she examined it closely with a smile. It was just like she had envisioned it, maybe the face wasn’t as round as she would have liked, but it was in fact a watch and it would work. Smiling, she held it tightly with the tie and headed to the next station.

Station three is a small table. On the table is a box with holes cut in it, containing a chicken; a small pail with chicken feed and some space to work. Under the table is another box with a stuffed chicken toy in it. First and second years may choose to use this toy, instead. All others must receive special permission BEFORE their final to do so. The instruction sheet reads: make a pillow.
Approaching the next station, she first noticed the box with the holes in it and the pail beside it. If it wasn’t for the low sound of clucking coming from the box, it wouldn’t have been too terribly difficult to figure out what she was supposed to do. Setting her tie and watch down, she reached for some feed and offered it to
Mr. Chicken inside.
Mr. Chicken tilted his head slightly and clucked as he cautiously accepted the feed from her. Finding that Mr. Chicken wasn’t going to bit her or something, she grabbed a little bit of feed and placed it in a pail on the table. Carefully, she lifted Mr. Chicken from his box and set him on the table. Finding the table to be rather interesting, Mr. Chicken clucked a bit as he noticed the feed offering before him. Heading straight for the feed, Mr. Chicken dug in to the feed and started to eat. Taking advantage of the situation, Mina picked up her wand and smiled. With her chicken busy eating, she would be able to do what she needed.
Picturing a pillow in her mind, she smoothing swished and flicked her want in the direction of Mr. Chicken as she cast
Pulvinus in a clear and crisp voice. The chicken clucked slightly as he slowly changed. In its place was now a simple
black pillow . It wasn’t as fun as the one she transfigured in lessons, but it would have to do. Picking the pillow up, along with the tie and watch, she headed to the last station.

The fourth table is a long table with three boxes taped out on the surface, and the numbers 1, 2 and 3 taped out in them. The sheet reads: lay out your items in the appropriate boxes and leave the testing area.
Reaching the last station, she read the sheet and nodded. Okay, she just needed to place her items in the correct boxes now. Moving to the taped out box with the 1 in it, she placed her
Ravenclaw House tie inside. Next, she moved to the taped out box with the 2 in it and set the
silver and pink watch inside. Finally, she moved on to the last taped out box with the 3 in it and placed the
black pillow inside. Taking a last glance at the table, she smiled. Everything looked to be in order and she was rather pleased with herself. With a grin on her face, she turned and made her way out of the room.
