"Well you can steal that little gem," he replied in regards to the Slytherin's soft compliment of his idea of home, "Having it with you, you will also remember that you have a home somewhere."
His eyes seemed to shake in their sockets, the desire to blink was stripped of importance by the boys desire to maintain his connection with the hazel eyes floating above him. A slight distress seemed to dawn on Evelyn's face, and he torn his eyes from her, not knowing she had done the same. There they sat two thirds year, staring everywhere but into the eyes they had just locked with. Having looked away, Evelyn let out a quiet frustrated sigh before moving to stand up. She shouldn't be here...like this. Her staring into his eyes like that. Even though she wanted to... he probably didn't think of her like that. Besides, she had Josh right?
....actually...
Even then she didn't know what he thought. Getting all these mixed messages was, rather confusing. Standing up, the Slytherin stretched before looking down at the Gryffindor. "I should be going. Lots of studying and...such..." Yea, excuses...excuses. Smiling though, she picked up her back and slung it across her shoulder before moving her gaze back to Patroclus. "Thanks for being my Divination partner."
Taking a step away, the smile on her face turned to a smirk as she paused once more. "And I'm going to hold you to what you said. Tan as a broomstick handle. I'll be the judge of that when I see you during the summer break." Hehe.

Surpirsed by the girls sudden standing up, Patroclus could tell that she too was slightly uncomfortable with what had just transpired. Snaping up to a sitting position, Patroclus just stared at his hand, which were resting outstretched from his knees, "Yeah, I've.....got studying todrolle, I mean I've got studying to do too" real smooth, "It was my pleasure" he smiled all be it, a little weakily. "Thats if you see me at all," Patroclus didn't know where it had come from, but the words poured from his mouth, "I may get swept back up and across the globe," was he trying to make her concerned, he was sure himself..."you will just have to hope that you see me!" The words came out as a joke, but somewhere deep inside their was a kernal of truth, nothing was certain with this boy.
Scopping up his cloak, he reached out and grabbed Evelyn's hand, just before she turned to leave, "It was great to get to know you this year...." |

Scopping up his cloak, he reached out and grabbed Evelyn's hand, just before she turned to leave, "It was great to get to know you this year...." Readjusting the strap of her school bag on her shoulder, Evelyn suddenly froze and looked over at Patroclus with confused and slightly hurt eyes. If she saw him at all? But, he just said that they could see each other over the summer break. Keeping quite silent when he continued on, her hands slowly moved down to rest on her bag that she pulled in front of her, unsure of what else to do. 'I may get swept back up and across the globe...' '...you will just have to hope that you see me!'
Perhaps, she had misheard him. Surely she misheard him. He did say something about living with his brother or something if the problem of moving away arose again right? Unless, she had misheard that part as well. That conversation was quite some time ago too...she may have remembered it wrong.
With the obvious frown on her face, the Slytherin looked down at her feet for a moment, ready to turn back and head back up to the castle when she felt something grab her hand. She knew it was Patroclus, but that didn't stop her from tensing or stop her heartbeat from increasing rather dramatically; however, not in the way where the warning bells in her mind would go off. It was great to get to know her this year? Who cares about THAT! "I thought you said that you were fine here now. That, there wasn't a problem of moving away again?"
Looking down at their hands, she stared at them for a moment with a worried frown before looking back up to his eyes. Why would he say he was staying when there was a chance he was leaving? He...couldn't leave.

Now maybe you better get yourself up to the hospital wing and get that arm looked at. I'll clean-up our stuff and leave yours at the Ravenclaw table."
Willow watched as Damon slowly walked up the hill to the castle. Once she was satified that he was okay, she quickly gathered up the texts and Damon's bits and pieces for his experiment. She shoved everything into her bag and headed up to the school. She was now exhausted. It had been an extremely long day.

It was still HIS decision, right? He sighed and shook his head. It was all too confusing.
Miranda, however, was making light of it and for that he was eternally grateful. He managed a small smile at her jesting over his none stop prodding and poking to get someone to help him get some wood from the Willow... which, incidentally, he still had not achieved. No one in school was stupid enough to assist him – hey, maybe he could ask Torin ![Shifty](https://www.snitchseeker.com/images/smilies/shifty.gif) . Heh. He found himself elbowing Miranda playfully when she sighed oh so dramatically, a smirk starting to play on his lips. Rather eager? She sounded desperate. Part of Oliver wanted to punish her by ignoring her completely. But then what? He would stress for the rest of his days that he had driven her to do something.. stupid. Gulp. She was never the strongest or most balanced person. “I know. I guess I knew as soon as I read it I would go. I'll regret it forever if I don't.” He squeezed Miranda's hand – he just needed a gentle nudge in the right direction, and it seemed the girl who knew him the best was the one to do it. He looked at her and swallowed. “I-if I go... would you come with me?” Because Oliver was a giant coward and couldn't do this alone.
Was it cold? Oliver shivered involuntarily. “You fancy going inside?” He nodded towards the castle with a grim expression on his face. It wasn't cold – Oliver was just emotional. The Great Hall was bound to be empty because everyone was out enjoying the sun. She grimaced a little when he decided to elbow her, then chuckled. See? She was right about that stuff. Hehe.
Getting the jesting under wraps, Miranda glanced at Oliver, trying to see his reaction. Who knew besides himself what was going on in his mind. But...she was pretty sure she would never completely be let in, ever. That was just the way things were. Probably for the best. "Yeah... I'd surely regret it too." Plus, the most important thing, "You'll get to tell her everything you want. Let it all out of your chest." And stuff like that.
But the thing he said next made her sort of stare at the boy. He was asking her to come with? "Uhm..." She hesitated for a second before blinking and then getting her voice back. "Yeah, sure... If you want me too, I'll go with you." She'll bring her beater's bat. Joking, ofcourse. Maybe.
She felt him shiver, getting a bit worried because it was kind of not cold outside right now. Summer was here, gratefully...though Oliver was more worried about his encounter with mum than enjoying it. "Let's go." Miranda nodded, getting to a standing position. She smiled at her friend and linked arms with him.
Hm, some food would be awesome. Like...PIE. "You hungry? I bet there's some chocolate somewhere inside..." Like duh.

He...couldn't leave. The apparent hurt that was written across the girls face, made Patroclus realised, how mean his words had been. He couldn’t even explain to himself, why he had said what he’d said; was he trying to make her stay, or feel bad for leaving. He didn’t understand what he was doing, however he felt guilty for doing it, it was never Patroclus’ intention to hurt Evelyn, but he had.
Looking at the girl starring down at him with such indignation in her eyes, Patroclus couldn’t help but feel the whooping in his stomach again, she was upset because he had joked about leaving. The thought of him not being here seemed to upset her, and in a way that made Patroclus feel even worse for what he had just said.
With shame filled eyes, Patroclus, “I am not going anywhere….it was just a test to see if you would miss me….I don’t know why I said it….I’m sorry,” he looked down at the ground, his face blushing, “Can you forgive me..? I don’t plan on leaving yo-” he could himself quickly, “Hogwarts anytime soon.” |

Cody made his way to the Willow, dropping beneath the branches of a safer, more docile tree, watching the wild one flinging around mercilessly. Merlin, why was it so fascinating to watch a killer tree? It. Was. A. Tree.
Showed how easily entertained Cody was. Snort.

No matter how relieving it was to here that, Evelyn could not get rid of the frown on her face. Forgive him? For making her distressed, panicked, and generally almost heartbroken? Why would she do that...
Looking away from the Gryffindor, no matter how sincere and truthful his words seemed to sound, the Slytherin pulled her hand out of his and readjusted her bag on her shoulder. "Yea.." she mumbled, looking towards the castle for a moment before back to him with a small smile that did not reach her eyes, and yet, showed hints of sadness. "I forgive you."
Her words may have said one thing, but her tone said something completely different. She did not forgive easily for things but, it was Patroclus. She couldn't not forgive him, but then again, she wasn't at a point yet where she could just let him go that easily. "However, that still doesn't lessen the study load i have to do." Laughing just the slightest, but having barely any emotion in it, the girl sighed before taking a step away. "I'll see you at the feast."
Smiling once more, she waved and let her hand drop to her sighed before going to make her way back up to the castle. "Hopefully."
