Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
Mika sat down on one of the benches. Ughhh, she hated life right now. A lot. Why did EVERYTHING have to happen to her? Couldn't somthing horrible happen to others, to make them feel bad? Or, to Bonnie, atleast. Something reallyyyyy horrible...
Nope, Mika wasn't going to think about that stupid person right now. She was gonna hate her forever. And was she sad about it? No. Happy about not having to think about it. Sighhhhhh.

Riding on his skateboard, Tyler suddenly got lost on his way back to the castle. This place was becoming more of a maze by the passing year. Now there were pathS to get back inside. Before it was just a main one. Oh well, Ty'll eventually find his way back. Continuing to ride, Tyler came up to a bench, with a girl sitting on it.
"Uhhh," he started as he got of his board and walked towards the girl. Finally realizing it was Mika. "Ohh, hey Mika. Why are you out here all alone?" he asked and sat down next to her, hoping she didn't mind.

"Yeah, I know, Carter seems to think that way too. He was worried about what people would say to or about me for dating him since I just broke up with Evan. I told him I didn't care what anyone said, I only cared about what he thought. Besides, I broke up with Evan back in the begining of the summer." She was ready to move on with her life, without Evan as her boyfriend.
"Evan? Well... we aren't exactly speaking a lot right now." Were they even on speaking terms at all anymore? "Every time I see him we end up fighting... even after we made a truce at the feast last night." They couldn't even make it through one night of a truce before they were yelling at each other. "Every time I try telling him how I felt or what happened when he was gone he just yells at me. It's like I can't say anything right to him."
"Aww, I'm sorry, I thought for sure you and Dylan would get back together." Marie really didn't know Dylan but she liked him just from the few times she had met him. "Do you mind me asking what happened with you two?" she asked not really sure if Gold would feel comfortable enough to tell her. "I mean you always looked so happy when you were together."
Gold listened, attentively. When Marie fell quiet, for a second, she reached out to pat the Slytherin on the shoulder. "I'm glad you think that way, Marie," she said, with a nod. "In the end, it's your life, and you have every right to decide what to do with it, and where to take it. Others have no right to interfere in your personal matters, especially when you don't mean any harm, or aren't doing anything wrong."
"Give Evan time, to calm down. I guess he still has feelings for you. I don't think he's happy, but he needs to understand that things have changed. I'm sure he will, too." It would be hard, of course. "Just remember that it's better to be truthful, than in a relationship that doesn't make you happy." Evan didn't realize that, even if Marie was with him now, he would still be unhappy - because she wouldn't be happy.
She bit on to her lower lip, when Marie mentioned Dylan. "I just want to forget him," she said quietly, before pulling her legs up, on to the bench, and wrapping her arms around them, to hug them close, for a moment. "You know, after everything that happened, last term?" The battle. "I was kind of... not me. I told Dylan I needed a break, because I wasn't in a position to give myself to anyone, right then. I thought he would understand. But he just sort of pulled away from me, after that, and then next thing I knew, he was with all these girls, over the summer."

It still hurt, darn it.
Marie listened as Gold gave her some much needed advice. It felt good to finally be able to talk to someone about what had been happening with her. She really didn't have anyone she could confide in that would understand what she was going through. She loved Destiny and Evelyn but she knew Evelyn really didn't approve of Carter, and Destiny just thought she should stay away from boys. She couldn't really confide in Ella either since she was Carter's best friend... that would just be too wierd telling her these things. She really had no one else to talk to. All her other friends were really more like acquaintances, and some of them were even more like enemies.
Yep, she was glad to have Gold as a friend.
"Thanks. I really wasn't trying to hurt Evan. It hurts me knowing that he is suffering because of me." Even though her heart was now with Carter, there was a piece of it that still had Evan's name on it and that would never go away. "I don't know that he will ever calm down enough for us to talk again or for him to understand anything. He keeps saying it is my fault for everything that happened, he doesn't think he did anything wrong at all." Because obviously it was okay to abandon your girlfriend for five months with no contact what-so-ever and then expect he to act as if he had never been gone.
She listened as Gold talked about Dylan. She reached over and gave her a hug when she was done talking. "I'm so sorry... I know how hard it is seeing your boyfriend with another girl, I couldn't imagine seeing him with more than one." Even though there had been nothing going on with Evan and Fallon it still hurt to see them together. Crap... and now she was doing the same thing to Evan... would this viscious cycle ever end? "Do you think that maybe by him pulling away that was his way of giving you the space you needed? You know, maybe he thought what he was doing was the right thing." Sort of like Evan who took Marie's words literally when she said she needed time to think. He never even attempted to see her or talk to her after that... because he thought he was doing the right thing by leaving her alone, so he said. "Have you seen or talked to Dylan since we've been back to school?" Was he even at school? Now that Marie thought about it, she hadn't seen him at the feast or in their common room either.
Adam wandered along, glancing upwards at the sky. It was kinda cold for September, and he hugged his hoddie closer around him. Where were Tyler and Lori? He hadn't seen his best mate or his girlfriend since the feast, and they hadn't been around the Castle. Believe him, Adam had looked. Actually, he hadn't been looking for them in particular, just anyone he knew. Someone he could talk to.
Sitting down on the grass to one side of the walkway, Adam twidled a guitar pick between his fingers. He hadn't played for a while, he realised., because he hadn't been in the mood. Unusual as it was. And today... well, today he wasn't even hyper, like he had been over the last few days. He needed some sugar. Lots of sugar.

Nibbling on a piece of Maple Fudge - Surprise!Surprise! - Nancy had decided to take a stroll outside. Because outside was good to take one's mind off things...things like the fact that she still hadn't talked to Steven. Or SEEN him actually. Meh. Though, no, no thinking about that. She was outside to get her mind off things after all. Soo...
...hehe, there was the perfect distraction. "Adaaaam!" Nancy called out at the boy sitting in the grass a few meters away from her. Yes, awesome distraction. "Soo...what are you up to?" The 17 year old asked as soon as she was standing in front of him, because she was NOT going to sit down next to him. Too much plant-y stuff. Shudder.

Knocking the pick against his teeth, Adam thought about the letter he'd recieved over the summer. The letter telling him he'd been given a place on the Quill. So, writing wasn't something he'd ever thought he was especially good at, but evidently he must be, because otherwise they would have given the place to someone else, right?
Eh, he didn't get it. But Muggle stuff... well, that was great. Muggle Studies was one of his favourite subjects, so writing about it was awesome, wasn't it? Maybe they could do some stuff on Lawsons club? He'd have to find out who he was working with, and ask them about it. Yeah...
Looking up, he saw Nancy coming towards him and grinned broadly. "Hey," he smiled as she called out. Patting the grass next to him as she stood in front of him, the sixth year wasn't sure if the girl would want to sit down. Some people didn't like grass and mud, but he'd see. "Thinking about how much I don't like the soppiness of Madame Puddifoots," he said with a laugh, winking up at his friend. "Nah, I'm got a place on the Quill, I was just thinking about what sort of stuff I'll have to write about," he shrugged. "How've you been?"

Nancy eyed the grass Adam had just patted in invitation for her to sit down next to him warily. Could she trust the plant? Though it was only grass and they were in safe distance of any other plants so she should be safe right? Hopefully."Oh really?" She giggled slightly while slowly and very carefully taking a seat next to the boy in the grass. Yes, grass was safe. "You know we should totally celebrate your birthday there this year." She suggested, a huge smirk plastered across her face. Now, wouldn't that be lovely...Madame Puddifoot's...Madame Puddifoot's on Valentine's Day. Lovely, just lovely. NOT.
Shifting a little anxiously on the grass Nancy stopped immediately and simply turned to stare at Adam. "What?! Wow, congrats!" The QUILL. That was just awesome. "Oh, so, what is it? What you have to write about, I mean?" She grinned at him expectantly, hoping he would go into a little more detail about his newly acquired job. Cause it was just awesome!
"Oh, you know...I slowly get used to the whole Prefect thing." Nancy pointedly glanced down at the badge on her robes with a small sigh. "Though, it was a rather rough start with all those misbehaving new Slytherins at the feast." Oh, which reminded her, she still didn't know who exactly had lost them those 50 points. Probably better for them...
Adam grinned as Nancy sat down, glad she hadn't gone all girlie on him and said no, because it would be muddy or something. Which it totally wasn't, because it hadn't rained lately, and the grass wasn't wet or muddy at all. "Ah, I should. Great idea," he smirked back at her. Ah, the taunts. Stupid Valentines birthday, it was tooo fitting to go to Madame Puddifoots. "And maybe I can invite EVERYONE I know, and they can all bring they're boyfriend and girlfriends and be all soppy and drooly. What fun!"[/sacasm] he laughed. Thank god Lori wasn't a soppy girl. He wouldn't be able to cope, if she was.
"Uh, thanks," Adam laughed nervousely, running a hand through his hair. "Well, there's loadsa different collums, y'know? And we're doing on on Muggle stuff, which I'm doing with some other people. Which reminds me, I really need to find out who they are." Adam laughed a little here, before shaking his hair from his face. "And Professor Lawson's doing a Muggle Studies club, so I might go along to that."Because it was partly his idea. Adam was so glad he'd been given the Muggle stuff, what with it being his favourite subject and that.
Glancing down at the badge on Nancy's robes, Ad remebered how weird she'd been about it over the summer. He smiled when she said she was getting used to it, though. "Well, that's good," he said, and then laughed at the mention of misbehaving Slythies. "Why, what happened?" Because he'd sooo been at the feast. Not asleep. Not at all.

An excited glitter flashed through her eyes at thought of that imaginary birthday party for Adam...or was it that imaginary? It would be fun...oh, the irony. Hehe."Totally...and we'd have a million pink balloons and everybody would be soooo giddy with love and would be smooching their partner's head off. And...ZOMG! Everybody'd get a pink pygmy puff as a gift!"Err, yeah. That was what too much Maple Fudge did to Nancy. Not good. Totally NOT good.
"Muggle stuff?" A small confused frown flashed across her face at Adam's next words. She had thought this was supposed to be about the school and not about individual subje-"Oh...I get it...not about Muggle Studies but about Muggle stuff in general." Obviously. "Err...well, that sounds interesting, I guess. Sorry, I'm just totally not that informed about Muggles, sorry." She gave a small laugh at her own lack of knowledge. It wasn't that she was anti-Muggle or anything, she just didn't know that much about them.
What happened?!"What happened?!" Nancy widened her eyes, blinking at Adam a couple of times, trying to figure out if he was being serious. "Well, a group of Slytherins randomly went up to the Staff Table and decided that it was a good idea to not show any respect towards them...and neither towards me, for that matter." Her voice was full of bitterness at reliving that Start of Term Feast. "Yeah, so, two got detention and a third one lost us 50 points. 50!!"Guh! Well, they had had the chance to gain them back but still...

Adam laughed at Nancy's description of his imaginary birthday party. Oh, how funny it would be. Something to look forward to, eh? "Oh, and I would name all of the pygmy puffs thinks like 'Love' and 'Heart' and 'Flowers!" he laughed at the irony. "And all the ickle pygmy puff's'd be all loved up as well, and make little pygmy puff kissy noises." And then Adam and Nancy would go and throw up outside. Oh the joy! How funny it would be though.
"Yeah, like a Muggle Corner thing, and we're gonna explain the use of some every day Muggle things, and some weird subsitues for Magic muggles have. Eh, I think..." he said with a grin. Oh, technicly, he really didn't have a clue what they would do, which is why he made a mental note to find out who he was working with and owl them later. "Not many people find Muggles that interesting," Adam laughed with a shrug. And he had nothing against Muggles, or people who didn't like Muggles.
Okay, so Adam had just displayed a complete lack of knowlege at what was probably something everyone in the school knew right now. Seems like he should've gone to the feast then, and not gone straight up to his dorm 'cuz of a dumb headache. Well, he couldn't take back the question now, although Nancy looked like she thought he could be joking. "Fifty points? Ouch, that's harsh," he shook his head. And poor Nancy. He had half a mind to find out which Slytherins they were and have words with them, tell them to show her some respect next time. As well as the teachers.

"Had a fight with a friend, that's all," Gosh, no crying now... Mika blinked. Omigosh, it was a fight, not some serious crime or anything. No need to cry. Mika took a deep breath, and felt her loungs fill with... Not saddness.
"SO what are you doing out here?" Mika smiled.

OMG! The thought...just the thought of throwing such a party cracked her up. Giggling Nancy gasped for air a couple of times and had to steady herself by placing both her hands onto the ground. "OMG! Stop it, Adam! That's just EW!" She gave him a gentle, teasing shove, still giggling up at him. They would so die if that party really was to happen...though, it would be hilarious too. Hehe. Anybody who saw them like this would probably think that they were completely crazy.
Taking deeeeeep breaths to calm herself down from all the laughing Nancy nodded slowly at Adam's explanation about the Quill. "Oh wow, well, I'll definitely read that section." Because it REALLY sounded interesting. "Well, I do actually...sort of. Though, they do have strange stuff." Just think about what they learnt about in Muggle Studies with the transportations and stuff. Straaaaange.
Meh! How come Adam hadn't known about it? Truebridge's little 'speech' hadn't exactly been quiet or anything...what with the Sonorus Spell and all. "You weren't at the Start of Term Feast, right?" A small amused smirk crossed her lips as she eyed him closely, waiting for a reply. Hmmm??
Mika looked up as she noticed someone sitting down next to her. Oh, Tyler. She smiled, it felt good NOT being alone. Espesially in this situation.

"Oh," Ty said as he set his skateboard on the floor and listened to what Mika said. A fight with a friend was never a good thing, especially going to a boarding school. "Well, I'm here if you ever wanna talk and I'm sure things will cool over with your friend," Ty smiled and rocked his board back and forth.
"Me? I was just trying to find my way out of this place. But I'm in no hurry now," Laughing, Ty chrugged his shoulders and looked around. Certainly was a maze here.

Marie listened as Gold gave her some much needed advice. It felt good to finally be able to talk to someone about what had been happening with her. "Have you seen or talked to Dylan since we've been back to school?" Was he even at school? Now that Marie thought about it, she hadn't seen him at the feast or in their common room either.
Gold gave Marie's hand a light squeeze. "Everything will be fine," she said, reassuringly. Love does tend to hurt - tend to? God, it's like its meant to hurt, at times - but Gold knew Evan would cope. Boys usually find it easier, to move on. Or maybe she was biased? Either way, Gold knew Evan would find the strength to deal with things.
Or so, at least, she hoped.
"I guess he wasn't really my boyfriend, then." Gold sort of bit, on to her lower lip. "He told me he still loves me, and he -- he kind of pretended that he hadn't been with anyone else. He sounded so convincing, I would have believed him, if I hadn't seen everything with my own eyes." She looked away, for a second. "I don't think he's returning. He's gone back to homeschooling." Gold still couldn't be sure, though. "That makes it even worse, to know he didn't bother to let me know - though I guess he thought he wasn't welcome around me, anymore. This guy I know -- sort of broke Dylan's nose, when Dy was trying to convince me that he still loves me, or something." It was all SUCH a mess.
Something Gold was probably never going to discuss, after this talk with Marie. She needed not to.
Xylon Saar swept a hand throug his hair, as he strolled out on to a pathway rather negligently. It had grown - his hair - and he now had a fringe at the front. Maybe he needed to cut it. He would have to ask Gold though. Because that would annoy her no end.
Smirking at the thought, he looked around. It was a nice day but he really was bored. Lots of silly homework to do. The only silver lining was the fact that Hogwarts had a lot of pretty girls.

Vanessa walked onto the Pathways seeing as if she could get away from all the drama that surrounded her. It was giving her quite a headache and she wanted to see if she could find her little sister around here somewhere. She'd probably have no luck seeming as she didn't see any fourth years running around here.
She was walking, looking around for her little sister and bumped into someone. "Oh, I'm so sor-" She said being cut off by the handsomeness of the boy she ran into. Was handsomeness even a word? In Vanessa's mind it was at the point.

The tree he was standing under was a pretty nice spot. Lots of shade. But Xylon wanted some sun and ---- someone bumped into him.
He looked up, not too pleased....... and paused. Well she was pretty, whoever the girl was. That negated the fact that he was usually annoyed when people ran into him. Could snap at them to. "It's quite alright," he said, leaning against the tree to inspect her. "I hope you are too."

Vanessa thought he was about to yell at her for bumping into him but luckily he didn't. She blushed under his gaze. "I'm okay, sorry about that though. I usually look where I'm going." She slightly laughed.
Should I stay and talk to him or go? You know you want to stay here but...what about Patrick or Aiden? No...just leave."Well I'm going to go, I guess." She said standing there feeling a bit awkward in the silence and then quickly turning, slowly walking away.

"My you have a pretty laugh," Xylon said pretty casually. Which was exactly when she said she needed to leave. Or something like that. He raised an eyebrow, then lightly caught her arm. Not in an offensive way. It was actually a polite gesture for once.
"I don't think you should," he said lightly. "Maybe we should get to know each other."

Vanessa blushed as he told her that she had a pretty laugh and once he caught her arm, making her turn around she thought she might as well stay.
"Okay then, well my name is Vanessa Campbell. What's yours?" She asked taking a seat on the bench beside the pathway. She felt a bit intimidated by him but knew he was only flirting with her. Hopefully she didn't fall for him like she did with every other guy that flirted with her.

She was staying? Good. Xylon walked over to the bench and sat down next to her, leaning back against the bench --- he could never be too formal. It really was a nice day. The perfect kind to be with a pretty girl.
"Vanessa - what a perfectly lovely name." Then she asked his name. "Xylon Saar," he said lightly. Xylon ---- that name would have gotten around by now. Not in a good way though. The seventh year didn't know whether to like or hate that.

Vanessa smiled. "Thank you." She said. Her eyes widened and she started to laugh as he told her his name. "Really? So you're the famous, Xylon? Hmm..I would've expected well..never mind." She said shaking her head in disbelief.
This was the guy Gold talked to her about? True, he was gourgeous but he was the one who was sweet but flirty? Wow. "Sorry if you don't know what I'm laughing about, you probably think I'm crazy or something." She said. "Anyways I talked to Gold and she mentioned you a couple of times. It was pretty funny what she said and finally I've met you. " She said smiling.

Great. Now she was laughing. If his 'fame' made her laugh then it probably wasn't a good thing. Of course her explanation didn't make things any better. Gold. It was like he couldn't rid himself of Gold Laksh. Someone always mentioned her. If they didn't?
That meant she was around in person.
"She can't have said anything good," he said slowly. Then almost as if jerking back to Planet Earth, he smirked. "Doesn't matter. I don't need her approval. Or anyone else's." It was enough that he found himself brilliant. "Tell me, though --" his tones turned back to casual. Deeper. Light. "What you expected."

"Well she didn't say anything bad." Vanessa shrugged. "You really want to knwo what I expected, huh?" She asked. "Well I expected a very..handsome guy, which you are but was someone who was stuck-up and thought that they could get every girl in Hogwarts. I don't know much about you, however I'm pretty sure you're not like that." She nodded.
"Sorry if that offended you." She bit her lip nervously. It wasn't like her to judge, only in her mind, but she kept those thoughts to herself..or Nikki.
