Selena thought it over. "Well, I think that having a DJ is better because it produces a wider range of genres for everyone to listen to, while having a live band will not only cost more, but some of the Alumini or the students won't like it," Selena said thoughtfully.

Hmmf, so Tori wanted a DJ? Then Violet would want the opposite. "I think live music is better. If there was band or something it would be so much funner because you would actually get to see how they play the music and stuff. But if there was DJ it would probably be just boring,watching some guy turn on music." she said.

Selena pointed out something. "Actually, we wouldn't be staring at the DJ because everyone would want to mingle with other guests and hopefully form some sort of relationship with them, maybe some Hogwarts students can get internships with the alumni," she said. That girl really was annoying. She had heard about her before and disliked her. "In addition to that, if we are on a budget, we wouldn't want to hire a live band," she added.

Violet rolled her eyes and glared at the know-it-all girl. "Whatever. No one even said were on a budget anyway, and you didn't have to go into details." she replied. "We all have our own opinions, I'm just saying I like live music better, do you have a problem with that?"
She turned to Tori. "Oh please, I think everyone knows I'm not the smartest person. It doesn't even matter I can make up words if I want."

Selena nodded. "Well, for music, I think that it should be a mix because that way everyone can get what they want instead of it being all one type," Selena said. A live band was good, except sometimes live bands canceled on you because they were all booked.

Trixie also joined in with the conversation. "Well In my opinion I prefer listening to live music rather then watching a DJ at work. I think it livens the atmosphere more. And I'm certain that there are plenty of bands that would play more then one genre of music. There not limited to just one you know" she stated. That way there would be a genre for everyone. "I agree with Trixie. Live music will be so much better. It will be more entertaining which would make everybody more interested. DJ's are cool because they can play any kind of music.. but live acts are much more exciting." Ella suggested to the group. It was her opinion but she thought that lots of other people would agree. Perhaps live music was more expensive but wayyy more worth it in the whole run.

Trixie smiled as Ella agreed with her. Perfect. But then the firstie who she was sure was one of her cousin Emma's friends, Selena wasn't it? Mentioned memory loss and so her eyes narrowed slightly. "What's wrong with memory loss" she mumbled. Well she had to live with it didn't she? She'd heard it in so many conversations recently. "I'm afraid there I can't help you. Memory loss see. Not so good when trying to remember bands" she sighed. "Although this Jane person sounds good" she smiled at the person who suggested it. "Although I agree that alternative ideas are more productive" she said looking around at the group. More suggestions please!

Selena immediately felt bad. "I didn't mean to offed you or anything," she said honestly. It was just one of the side effects of obliterating people. She couldn't think of any other ones, seeing as she always let her mother work on this part. And her mother always chose jazz bands or something of the like. The Weird Sisters were waaaaay out and she tried to think of some others. "Isn't there a school band of some sort here in Hogwarts?" Selena asked. "They could play instrumental music for now and then after half of the party has gone by, we can switch to a band that appeals more to students these days and recent graduates," she offered.

It was odd... being all crammed up in this rather... "over-stuffed library office". Especially with people she didn't know. She knew the professors, sure. But the students... not so much. It comforted her though that most of the committee was female. Though, she couldn't say that for Professor Whatshisface. Cooties existed for mature adult males also it seemed. What about him...? Did he have it? *horror music playing in the background*
Huh. Barely a couple of minutes into the discussion and already there was drama. Mercedes couldn't even comprehend what was going on. Mehhh...
Cedes opened her mouth to speak. "In my opinion, I prefer live music... it's more entertaining and exciting. But on the other hand, a DJ perhaps would be more convenient and would have a wider variety of songs. With a band, they could only play songs that they knew, which might not be a lot. But with a DJ, there would be plenty." | |
