He wasn't about to leave his girlfriend alone in the castle while everyone was at the game. Brant would understand. Eventually. He'd do the same for Miranda he was sure. And it was only half a match.
Marie couldn't believe what she was hearing. Carter was willing to miss part of the game just to be with her. She was the one in trouble yet he was willing to miss doing something she knew he loved. She really did have a great boyfriend.
"Thanks, but only if it won't get you in trouble with Brant."she said smiling at him. She did not want to be the reason his captain would be mad at him.

"My decision still stands, Miss Salazar. You'll miss one half of the Quidditch match as punishment for hitting another student," she repeated.
"...and unless there's something else you or Carter would like to add, you're free to go."
She turned her attention back to Rex, wondering why he'd been so quiet all this time.
"Mr. Trigwell?" she questioned.
"You've been pretty quiet this whole time..." Although, the boy may have decided to remain quiet while the other half of the story was told.
She looked back over at Professor Carlton when she said her decision still stood.
"I understand," she said. She wasn't going to push the subject any further and risk getting detention too, or even worse points taken away.
"I have nothing else to add," she said as she looked over at Carter waiting for him to leave with her.

" it does not matter anyway because despite trying to help them because my girlfriend Kay told me to be nice to everyone and I got a punch in the nose" Rex kept talking to the teacher. "Does not matter anyway because in my opinion the punishment did not fit the crime" Rex said sadly. "So If I punched someone in the nose for no reason, all I would have to do is miss half of watching my girlfreind match at the Quidditch game?" Rex asked Miss Carlton. " My freind Jason Potter Wesley got in trouble for a lot less than what Marie did and thinkinfg about it, I got in trouble for a lot less than Marie did, too" Rex sighed.
Rex felt sad and alone. No one believes he really got hurt. Marie should have had detention and lost points for Slytherin. Cater should have been put in detention, too.
"Bye" Rex told the teacher. He walked away completely hurt by the teacher he really liked and trusted. If he can't trust this authority figure who he thought who would be fair, then who can he trust anymore at HogWarts?
But then Rex started to... LIE again. What is with the dork and his lies. He was NOT threatened by anyone. He was punched but there definatly were no threats made before the punch happened. She was about to open her mouth and call him a liar but decided to hear what else he had to say. Trying hard to hold in her laugh she looked over at Carter then back at Rex. Seriously, if Rex punched someone they would probably laugh in his face and walk away from him... or pound him into the ground. They wouldn't be running off tatteling on him, they would just take care of him theirself. Only babies like him tattled to get others in trouble.
Really? Who cares about any trouble Jason got into? The dude isn't even a student at Hogwarts anymore. Who gives a crup's tail if and when he ever got in trouble, he had nothing to do with what was going on here.
Whoa! He did not just walk out on the professor! Poor baby didn't get his way so he was probably going to go cry about it now.
Oh well, not her problem. She was ready to get out of there now herself.
"Sorry you had to be put in the middle of this," she said to the professor as she started to head for the door where she waited for Carter to leave with her. She had a feeling this would probably be something they laughed about later.
