"Maybe it is." Raven chuckled a little bit. "I know it is, but if you go around calling people by their house name; I don't think they'll get that you're trying to talk to them." It was true though. "Trust me if I didn't love Daniel, I would have been gone late last term but thinking about that now; I could never imagine myself being that heartless."

Once Gold began talking, Raven's attention was completely on what she was saying because it was definitely interesting. "Really? So do tell, who's the lucky guy who's managed to get my bestest friend in the world?" She smiled slightly as she noticed her friend blushing then began to wonder if it was anyone she knew.

"You're my Slytherin, though," Gold said. "You're special." Raven was, by far, her favourite Slytherin. Marie was one, too; but, at the end of the day, Raven was Raven, and Gold loved her to bits and pieces. "I hope you and Daniel have a perfectly splendid life. Together." She gave Raven's hand a light squeeze, as she said that.

Raven's unhurt hand, that is.

Lucky guy? Gold resisted the temptation to blush again. She had outgrown the silly blushes ages ago, honestly! What was happening to her? "Chris Potter," she said softly. "You know him, right?"

Awwwww. "You're my Gryffindor, Gold." Raven said with a slight grin. "What makes you say that?" Heh. Cue cheesy moment in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. "I hope so too, I mean to be completely honest here; I've sorta pictured what it would be like to be married to Daniel. I know completely out of my usual character here but I just can't help but wonder."

Chris Potter?!? Wow. "Of course I know him, we've met before, he is really nice. So, you've managed to get yourself the Head Boy." She paused for a second before deciding what to do next. "I bow down before your skills, anyone who can manage to end up with either the Head Boy or Head Girl is definitely doing something right here." Jealous much.

Sweet! "You're softening around the edges," Gold teased. "Don't let the Slytherin-ness vanish!" She didn't think Raven would, though. She was a Slytherin, through and through, that much had always been obvious. She wasn't the wannabe kind, either.

The Gryffindor laughed, when Raven spoke again. "I've managed to get a Prefect, before," she grinned. Even though she and Mr. T had always been more like good friends. "But," her tones turned more serious. "It's honestly not my fault my relationships don't last. I hope this one will. I really like Chris. Guys don't get much sweeter than him."

Softening around the edges? "I am not softening around the edges, Gryffindor!" Raven said then rolled her eyes. "It's not possible for me to let the Slytherin-ness vanish, I was born as a Snake and always will be seriously." It was true seriously, there was no way possible that she couldn't be a Slytherin.

The Slytherin smiled slightly as Gold continued. "Aww well, I hope things will be as good between you and Chris as it is with me and Daniel." She really meant it too, if he came back and hurt her then there was going to be hell to pay and it would not be pretty.

"Female snake," Gold corrected. Of course, a female snake is a snake, too, but Gold felt like teasing Raven, right now. She had a feeling it kept Raven from having to think of stuff she ought not to think of - what had happened, when the Slytherin had been away, that is.

"I hope so, too," she said, gently. "He.... smells of soap and lemon and nice stuff." Okay, now that had been random. But Gold was pretty sure she had fallen for the guy. She was going to hold back just a little, though. Love had hurt her too much, in the past. "I'm ... glad I've been able to move on," she said quietly. "Dylan hurt me too much."

"Of course you would have to correct me." Raven stuck her tongue out at the Prefect then rolled her eyes sarcastically for good measure. A snake is a snake is a snake. But at least Gold had made her forget about the stuff she was discussing earlier and that made her feel a lot better.

He smells of soap and lemon and nice stuff Haha! Ahh that was incredibly amusing. "Well don't think about Dylan, he's a jerk honestly and I'm very happy to see that you can move on and be with Chris, seriously I'm incredibly happy for you!" It was true, Raven was absolutely ectastic for her best friend to be with someone who was really nice.

Daniel was panting as he approached Raven and Gold.

The moment he heard that Raven had returned from his father's funeral he had looked everywhere fro her.

He then saw her with Gold near the hourglasses in the ground floor. He caught his breathe and approached them.

"Hello, there." he said at them both. "How are you?" turning to Raven.

Well look who finally showed up. "I've been better and I've missed you a lot." Raven said then smiled and kissed Daniel on the cheek, it definitely had been a long time since she saw her boyfriend but that didn't matter since he was here now. Maybe Gold was right, the Slytherin was softening though she couldn't exactly help it.

He smiled when Raven gave him a kiss on the cheeks. He then hugged her and sighed.

"How are you feeling? I mean, how are you holding up the... you know" he said with a bit of hesitation to mention about the death of her father.

Why did he have to bring that up now? "I'm feeling alright actually, thanks to Gold distracting me with interesting things and some that are actually quite amusing." Raven felt a little bit better after Daniel had hugged her but she definitely wanted to go back to talking to her best friend at some point seeing as there was more to say.

"That is good to hear." he exclaimed and he then turned to Gold, "Take care of her, ok?"

"Well, I should be going, now. I need to meet up with Professor Marcus about the Muggles Studies Club." he said holding Raven's hand and kissing it.

Aww of course he would have to go. "Alright then hun, I'll see you around I suppose." Raven said with a slight tone of annoyance. It was difficult enough to deal with things the way they were now but when she couldn't see Daniel a lot since they were both busy, it did not help the situation whatsoever. Cue pout.

Gold frowned, slightly. "Dylan wasn't a jerk," she said, quietly. Ugh! She hadn't meant to say that! She needed to stop trying to defend him. He had gone. Left Hogwarts, without even bothering to let her know. That ought to have been enough, for her.

She was about to say something else, when Daniel appeared. "Hey," she said, in response to his polite greeting. She stood back, as he and Raven talked a bit. In fact, she needed to let them be alone. There was no need for her, to listen to what could very well have been a private conversation, had she not been there. "Raven," she nudged the girl, very slightly. "I guess I'll catch you around, later. You too, Daniel -" This, she said while looking at the older Gryffindor. "Have a nice time, you two."

She reached up to give Raven a hug and then, giving the two of them a warm smile, turned around and headed off to her common room. Maybe she could read a bit, before she took a nap.

Trixie cmae all the way down from the girls bathroom. She was both furious and a little confused as to what Olivia had just told her. There was no way that could be true?? Aiden wasn't fake dating Vanessa just so that he could make Ella jealous? Or was he? Trixie burst into tears again and slid down the wall by the hourglass, her head in her hands.

Aiden meandered through the school. He had been looking around for some place called the Room of Requirement that he had heard about, but he hadn't quite found it yet. So, for the present, he found himself amongst the four hourglasses.

And.. Trixie?

Eh. Tears, too? Aiden took a breath, figuring that he'd have to confront her soon enough, and walked over to the girl. "Hey, Trixie.."

Trixie looked up with a sudden jump. "Who's that?!" she said hurridly but after wiping away her blurry eyes she saw who it really was. "Oh it's you" she said sadly and then looked down at her hands. "Come to break my heart again?" she asked not even looking at him. Stupid Stupid Stupid!! Ergh what was she thinking? She'd have to tell him what Plvia said sometime wouldn't she? "Thought you'd be off with Ella somewhere" she said bluntly.

Sigh. Aiden couldn't say that he wasn't expecting this, though. He walked over to the Slytherin. "Trixie, I'm sorry, okay? But I really thought that we were just flirting that day in the courtyard. Honestly. I thought you just flirted like that with all guys, seeing as you had been doing the same with Patrick on the train." He made sure to keep his tone calm. And what the heck did she mean by her next comment? Maybe her eyes were too blurry to tell which guy he was..? "I'm Aiden, not Patrick."

Trixie scowled a bit through her tears. "What do you mean flirt with Patrick on the train?? I wasn't" she retaliated. "I dropped a suitcase on his foot did I not? And I thought he was dating Vanessa...." she trailed off. Never flirt with a taken man right? She looked away from him and down to her feet for a few seconds and then looked back up as he told her he was Aiden and not Patrick. "Yes I know that, I'm not dumb Aiden" she stated angrily. "I spoke to Olivia earlier" she gulped. "Obviously you prefer Ella to me. Everyone does don't they? Because Trixie is too stupid, too much work yes?" she asked. Well that was how she felt seeing as that's what Olivia had said.

"Yea, Trix. You definitely were flirting. I thought it was you and Patrick who were dating," Aiden said. Really. He had been there. It was no use denying it. He rolled his eyes as she spoke next. "What does it matter if you spoke to Olivia?" How exactly did her speaking with Olivia suddenly mean that he liked Ella? The only person he had told was Vanessa, and he had the inclination that, since he firmly told her not to say anything, she wouldn't let anything slip. She better not.

Trixie looked at him confused. "I know it's all a lie Aiden. Olivia told me. She said you were only doing it to make Ella jealous" she told him almost in tears again. She was an emotional wreck. She did like Patrick but it was Aiden she liked more anyway. "Is it true?? Were you fake dating Vanessa so that you could have Ella?" she asked, knowing he would probably say yes.

"What??" Aiden gaped slightly. No. Someone was getting their facts wrong in this whole gossip grapevine. "That's not true." Ugh. He wondered whether it was Olivia or Vanessa who said this. Probably Olivia, with her odd sporadic loss of memory. "I was not having a fake relationship with Vanessa to make Ella jealous. Ella may like whomever she chooses!" He shook his head. "Vanessa wanted to make Patrick jealous, and, regrettably, I agreed to it."

Trixie looked up into his eyes eventually to see whether he was telling the truth. She knew she could believe him over Olivia. He sounded sincere, Olivia just got things wrong a lot. "Do you promise?" she asked him wanting a truthfull answer. "So you don't want to get anyone jealous then?" she asked. Although she desperately wanted him to say her she knew he wouldn't. She wiped away a couple of tears that were still present in her eyes trying to make herself look the slightest bit acceptable.

"Yes, I promise." Aiden was actually rather annoyed about whomever had said that. But, whatever. It wasn't true. "And no, I never sought to make anyone jealous, at least not intentionally." He took a large breath. At least that was all sorted out.

Trixie nodded. "Okay I believe you" she said truthfully. Something about Aiden made him easy to believe. Or maybe that was just Trixie. She wiped the rest of the tears away from her face and managed a weak smile, although she was slightly dissapointed by him not wanting to make anyone jealous. "That's good then" she managed another smile again. "Although I'm angry at Vanessa for using you like that" she said. It wasn't very fair to use him to make Patrick jealous. Even though he probably agreed to it.
