Strong iron gates prevent students from getting out while making sure anything unwanted stays out. They can only be opened by the Professors and Staff and are always open on Hogsmeade weekends to allow for passage to the village.

Mina pulled her hair into a messy bun, securing it with a quill as she walked up to The Front Gate. Seeing her rock, she let a tiny smile escape. The front gate and her rock was obviously going to be one of her first stops. She couldn't have just gone up to the library and hid out, but the fresh air was something she had wanted and nothing could really beat the feeling she got being there.

Dropping her bag, she sat a top her rock and pulled out her new leather-bound journal. She had a quiet moment and she wanted to get a few things down. Moments of pure quiet for her were very far and in between. Pulling another quill out from her bag, she leaned over her journal and started to scribble away.

Kiera Valkere had decided hours ago she was going to spend her day wandering throughout the grounds since the last chance she had to do that was her first day of school as a first year. And somehow through her wandering she wound up near the front gates, Now a fifth year, Kiera missed that time she had to becom accquanted with her lovely school, her smile was genuine this time. People werent something she enjoyed, she knew she was all better than them, even if that sounded stuck up, she knew it.

She flipped her blonde hair and thought of turning back, but right before she noticed a youngr girl from ravenclaw sitting on a rock? Huh. Thats odd.... but Kiera felt an urge to be friendly and shouted a quick hello and waved smiling.

Hearing the faint sound of something, Mina looked up and noticed she wasn't alone. She really hadn't expected to be alone there for long, but she hadn't expected anyone to find their way down toward the Front Gate so quickly. Noticing it was an older Slytherin, she closed her journal and sat up a bit. Hearing the greeting, she smiled as she returned the greeting and waved back.

Kiera hoped she hadn't disturbed the girl, she looked like she was quite into whatever is was she was writing in that journal of hers. But it would be horribly rude not to say anything after interuptting the girl already. So she stuck out her hand and said "Hey my names Kiera Valkere! Nice to meet you!"

Mina smiled and took the offered hand, giving it a shake. "I'm Jasmina Bennett, but everyone calls me Mina," she replied politely as she let the hand go. She wasn't getting anywhere with her scribbling and figured it would be nice to possible meet new people. Kiera seemed pretty nice so far and that was more than she could say about some of the other Slytherins she had met before.

Raven took her fedora off as she entered the victinity of the Front Gate, just being around here was definitely bittersweet since this was where she met her best friend and spent a lot of time just thinking but since this was her last term at the school; it was one of the last times she'd see the old gates to Hogwarts. That was one thing that she really wanted to forget seeing as there was still plenty of fun to have and a lot of memories to make, she replaced the hat on her head and walked around a little bit.

Emily Pulled Emilya along the path, she had promised Keeley they would meet there. Emily was wearing her school robe with a black pleated wrap-around skirt with blue stitching she had made herself with a blue and grey argyle knit sweater she had found at a thrift store in Canada before coming to school. On her feet she sported argyle socks in a complementing colour scheme to her sweater, and a pair of light blue chuck tailor all stars. Emilya wore a black tee shirt and a light blue skirt with a flower motif in black under her school robe. She also wore pantyhose and black ballerina flats with black satin ribbons that circled up her legs all the way to her knee. The overall theme for today's dress was RAVENCLAW PRIDE!

Cameron was bored and had decided to go for a walk. Reading while walking was illadvised and she ended up bumping into someone.
"Sorry, wasn't looking where I was walking," She mumbed before turning in a different direction and continuing on her walk.

Keeley skipped down to the front gate, a strange place that she and the twins had chosen to meet. Because the common room was wayyy too- too- common a place to hang out. And it was nice to get outside while she still could. She pulled her favorite white cloak closer around her (black was much too dull a color to wear during the winter) and met her identical friends in the shade of some tallll trees. It was strange how those two always carefully planned and coordinated their outfits, while she just threw on crazy random things that gave her a very unique style. One that only she could pull off, or wanted to pull off anyway.

Raven noticed someone walking towards her and raised her eyebrows slightly when she realized exactly who it was, it was Miss Looney! The only who dared to destroy her bagpipes and set Evil Raven off. "Oy you! Stop right where you are, you the one who flipped out on me in Diagon Alley because I ran into you accidently." She hadn't forgotten that thanks to this girl that the tenor drones on her bagpipes were cracked and couldn't be repaired.

"Keeley, Looking uniquely suave as always." Emily said, and Emilya waved to her. Emilya loved having Keeley for a friend, she was so unique and different, her sister was too , but since Emilya mostly just went along with whatever Emily was wearing Emily no longer seemed as unique; however, this did not make Emily mad, nor did it make Emilya feel bad in any way.

"Keeley, want some white hot chocolate?" Emilya asked pulling a strange looking silver thermos from her bag. It had three cups on tup and a big black button and crank. She pulled off the cups and then cracked the crank a little bit. She then held up one of the cups and pushed the button and two streams of liquid came from the bottom. One was clear, which was water, and the other was white, which was the flavouring. Emilya then snapped the cup to the bottom and shook it. When she unsnapped it the steam was rising from the delicious drink which she offered to keeley.

Cameron heard someone call her and looked up from her book. "oh..Oh..OHHHHH!" Cameron's eyes widened and began backing away slowly. Her book dropped when she saw fully who it was. "Umm.. don't hurt me?" She squeaked, her cheeks flushing in harsh contrast to her hair.

Raven smirked devilishly when the girl finally realized who she was, the fact that she merely was afraid that she was about to get hurt was incredibly amusing to her. "I could hurt you if I wanted to, luckily for yourself; I'm not in the mood for sending someone to the hospital wing. Now about what happened in Diagon Alley, I would like to take this chance to properly apoligize for my actions; I did not mean to draw my wand in anger and for that I am sorry." Yes it was true, Raven Athlon was actually apoligizing to a right looney who didn't deserve an apology but she wasn't about to make the situation worse.

Cameron's eyes followed her books descent to the earth. She was sure in a parallel universe where Cam was a lot braver than the real Cam she'd have used the book like a weapon and made sure that evil girl got what she deserved. But this was real life and unfortunately Cam had to make do. So she watched her novel fall and hiccoughed when the girl finished talking.
The actual words processed slowly in the redheads mind and she nodded slowly processing perhaps the first and last apology she'd ever get.
"Last time you apologised, you didn't mean it did you?" Cam asked, just perhaps to feel the air moving through her windpipe which had previously been blocked by terror. "T-thanks, I suppose."
She waited for a moment and then she stuck out her hand, "I think I should, perhaps, apologise too. I was little.. harsh?" She made an apologetic smile and shrugged, "I'm human.. I guess."

Raven stared at the girl's outstretched hand for a second before finally deciding to extend her hand and shook the other girl's, even though she had a bad feeling about this decision but decided to ignore the feeling for the time being seeing as there was no point for this foolishness to continue. "Of course I didn't mean it, I only said it before my boyfriend took me away but this time I honestly mean it." Even though having Daniel come to take her away really didn't help the situation, it did make her realize how much of a fool she was. "A little harsh? Merlin I've never seen that much aggression in a very long time, I must say though that you very much remind me of myself at times with how irrational and completely aggressive I can get. I don't believe I've had the chance to introduce myself, the name's Raven Athlon; 7th year Slytherin." After she had said that comment, she realized how odd it sounded but it was too late to take it back.

Cameron was almost about to drop her outstretched hand and run for the hills when the older girl took it. Her tummy squirmed with adrenalin as she fought the urge to get away from this chikka. "Aw." All Cam's sense of pride was popped. She'd felt so good when she'd gotten that apology but.. it hadn't been real! She rolled her eyes but didn't make a comment when the Snake told her she'd overreacted. Whatever.
"I would've taken that as an insult.. but I suppose you mean it like a compliment so.. thank you. I guess." Cameron surmised with a shrug.

Lissa walked slowly to the front gate. She'll never find me. She smirked and waited for Amy to turn up, if she did.

Amy walked around the school, tired and panting she spotted Lissa, Fou-fo-found, youu she said, gasping and leaning over with a stitch

Lissa laughed to her. "Well, I DID walk slowly and it looked like you ran," she smirked at Amy. "But it was worth it and you have tonnes on energy, where did that go?" she asked curious.

Argum-Argu-argumen-argument wiv-with-Jay, she said, panting, sort-sorta-turned-into-into a-a duel, she sat down to get her breath back, and could feel her wand poking her in the leg, she took it out and held it in her hand, untill she stood up, he officially hates me, she said, miserabley, with her breath back

Lissa looked puzzled at her. "A duel! Who started it?" she asked, if it was Amy then it was okay, if it was Jay, she would track him down, heck she needed to track him down. "Hates you! He probably doesn't, he'll hate himself, trust me, what he did yesterday made him a complete idiot before he went to the common room," she said, not believing what Amy said.

Umm, well I threw a stress ball at him and then um expelliarmus, which he dodged and then he threw rictuasempra at me which i bounced back to him and then, umm, I took the spell off and we started screaming at each other, Amy told her embarrisdly, no trust me, he hates me. Said so himself, said it was me who sent the bird after him even though I stopped it, her voice broke, then he said, that he hated me, she sniffed, but didn't want to down the mood, so how are you, she asked brightly, as she could muster

"So, in a way, you started it," Lissa said, not really mad, she didn't need to be mad. "Really? And he only said to me that a bird just came and attacked him, I thought it might be you who stopped it, then again, I had no clue who did it," she told Amy, her face with no emotion. She was still going to talk to him, and she was hoping that he would talk back. "Good," she said plainly and simply. "I don't think that I need to tell you how are you, because I think I already know. So what are you doing to do about him?" she asked, hoping that she would avoid him then start duels with him.

Yeah, I guess I did, I, I dunno, I just, I..I have no idea, what should I do, Lissa? she asked, desperatley
