Need to catch up on some homework? Golpalott's third law still not making a whole lot of sense? Pull up a seat and let your prefects lend a helping hand. Perhaps, you too could offer some help in return and together successfully complete your assignments.

The day had come. Chris had over the past two terms watched as the Head Boy and Girl ran these Study Sessions with the help of himself and the other Prefects but he never would have dreamed he would be one of those Heads one day. He had arrived in the Library early to get set up and to calm his nerves.

He had made a trip down to Honeyduke's the last Hogsmeade visit and had bought a large sample of each of their most popular items for those students who would be attending this study session. Might aswell award them for being studious right? So in the center of each of the mahogany tables was a large basket of every candy you could think of from Ice Mice to licorice wands.

Another thing the Head Boy had prepared for the lesson was on the tabletop infront of each chair. A list of all homework assignments had been put together for them to work on. He thought that they could all use this time to study or do homework. As he went to stand by the front of the room he took a seat on the edge of the front table to wait.

OCC: Feel free to post yourselves arriving, and getting set-up. Keep the chat to a minimum and I will start the session officially tomorrow morning when I wake up. Remember listen to all Prefects helping me run this.

Mmhmm..once again, Evelyn didn't know why she was here. Perhaps because it was quiet, and usually study sessions were quiet right? It was in the library after all so everyone had to be! HA!

Peaking around the corner to see who had arrived as of yet, the Slytherin raised a brow when she pretty much saw...that one guy. The Head Boy. That was it? Well, could've been worse. Could've been the Head Girl that was there...

Hehe.

Snickering to herself, Evelyn walked towards the tables and took a seat near the wall on the side as she gently laid her bag down on the table in front of her. Might as well finish up some homework when she had nothing to do right? Yush! She thought so.

The little Puff had just about to head out for a swim, maybe climb a few trees when she spoted a sign about the Study Session with the Prefects. It had taken a lot of self-convincing to drag herself up to the library, it was such a beautiful day out that it really was a crime to spend it indoors, especially in the library of all places.

Her school bag slung over her shoulder, Arya strolled into the library with her kneazle in her arms. If she was gonna be here then so was he, though how long he would stay she didn't know.

Spotting the Head Boy and that Slytherin girl who hung out with Destiny all the time, she realized that she had shown up early. Which only meant she would leave early. Awesome.

"Hey guys." She sent a smile to both students as she placed her bag on the table and took a seat near the Head Boy, kneazle in her lap as she started taking out her school books.

Phew! On time!

Gold tucked a bang of red hair behind an ear, as she skidded to a halt in the library. Oh wow, such a Prefect-y entrance. But prefects can have fun! Really, they can! She grinned at the thought, as she spotted Chris, waved to him, and headed straight for him.

"Hey, Head Boy," she said softly. Would she get thrown out of here if she, you know, kissed him?

Probably.

She sat down next to him, and gave Evelyn a polite nod. Which was when she realized she had placed her bag on the floor. Eh? Bending to pick it up, Gold saw Arya arrive, and waved to the girl as she took a seat pretty close to them. "How are you?" she asked the 'Puff cheerfully.

Then, placing her schoolbag on the empty seat next to her, Gold picked up the parchment that lay in front of her.

Hmm, fantastic. The cheerful squad arrived.

It was a bit hard to keep the frown off her face, especially when neither of the people who had walked in deserved a frown. So, keeping a small smile on her lips instead, she nodded back to Gold as she took out her notebook for Divination.

She didn't really know the other girl all that well, but Evelyn smiled at her anyways. Yes! She was getting the hang of this being polite thing to others when in a grumpy mood.

Arya had been organizing her notes and books by class when Gold's head popped up. She hadn't seen the prefect before, oh well. Grinning she waved at the older girl. "Hey Gold, I'm doing great. What about you?"

Her eyes flickered around wondering just how early she had been and where exactky she had put that snack at. She returned the smile to the other girl while digging through her bag, trying not to unsettle her kneazle who had made himself comfortable in her lap. Maybe he would be here longer than she thought.

Mina quitely walked into the area set up for the study session and found a table. She didn't see any of her friends yet, but it wasn't rare that she was one of the first people there. The others would surely show up later, she hoped.

Setting her things out before her, she flipped open some of her notes and began to read up on some things as she waited for her friends. She kind of hoped that Evan would show but a part of her was a bit concerned to see how Carter would react to seeing that. Yes, she really had to tell him about her blooming relationship before someone else did.

Chris smiled at each person as they entered the study group area. He wasn't disappointed at the small turn-out, more always showed up late. He wasn't a Professor so points weren't taken away for lateness besides this wasn't a class, just a group to help them out.

"Hello Arya, Evelyn, and Mina! How are you guys today?! It looks at least as if we have a mixture of Houses represented today!" he grinned and then turned back to Gold as she came up to join him in the front. He gave her a one armed squeeze and whispered in her ear, "Thanks for being here and helping me out Awesome!Gold you rock!" and then before they did anything embarrassing he turned back to the front of the room.

"Ok guys we are going to go ahead and get started and if anyone else shows up they can just join on in the fun." Chris smiled. "Ok so if nobody minds I am going to use the first few minutes as a kind-of discussion time about what we did and such in each of the classes that are on the homework list. You know to just refresh others before we get started on the assignments." he looked at the kids before him and then to Gold. Was he doing ok?

"Alright so do any of you want to sum up what we did in any of those lessons in a sentence or two?" the Head Boy smiled, all friendly-like. Hopefully they werent nervous or scared.

Arya returned Chris' grin with one of her own. "Hey Chris! I'm doin great, thanks." Somehow the little Puff had managed to pull off her shoes and cross her legs in the chair without unsettling her kneazle. Giving him a few strokes, she smiled at the Ravenclaw girl who walked over to the group as well.

Turning her attention to Chris as he spoke, she thought about the class they had to do homework for. Of course the first one that came to mind was the joint CoMC/Transfiguration lesson. Almost raising her hand, then realizing that they weren't in class, she continued to stroke Perseus while glancing at the Head Boy. "In the joint class for CoMC and Transfiguration we learned about human-to-animal transformations and the Quintiped. Then a lot of the students were transformed into creatures and asked to explain thier experience." That was a fun class, even if she didn't do one of the transformations.

ACK! She wasn't LATE was she? Oh... shucks.

Lorelai had ran from the Common Room and up to the Library, after remembering there was a study session on, and she had promised Goldie she would peek in, and get some stuff done. The common room wasn't much of a place to concentrate, not when many of her best friends were all in there at the same time. Hehe.

Quickly taking a seat, Lori raised a hand, and wiggled her fingers in her best friend Goldie's direction and nodded, before listening to the Head Boy.

Smiling slightly at the Head Boy when she heard her name being said, Evelyn opened up her notebook to her notes before listening to what he said. Sum up what they did in the lessons? Well, just look at the homework! Pretty much summed it up right there!

Since she was already doing the Divination homework, she might as well speak about that one right? Her notes were already open anyways. "In Divination, we spoke about jobs that revolved around Divination, before going onto the subject of scrying and crystallomancy. Then we...looked into crystal balls for the rest of the period."

Mmhmm. She would leave out the fact that she fell asleep. Twice...

Gold gave Ze!Arya a small but cheerful smile.

"Fine, thanks. Trying to learn Gaelic."

Grinning up at Chris, she sat up straighter, deciding that she could pass him little notes later. Because, you know, it would be nice to distract him. Gold totally had awesome intentions.

OOH, LORI LOUU!

"Lor," Gold said, motioning for her bestie to join her. They needed to sit together! Because they were, you know, awesome and had pretty hair. AND, of course, they needed to catch up.

"We discussed the uses of astronomy, the subjects it can branch into, and possible careers that a person interested in the field can go into, in astronomy," she offered, making little stick-figures - and giving them wings and pretty, swishy skirts - on the bottom of a fresh page in her handy-dandy, brand new notebook, as she spoke.

Yeah, she was here to help Chris run this study session. But she was totally going to answer his questions, anyway.

Chris nodded cheerfully as Arya mentioned she was doing well. It was always nice to hear that, especially how things could turn out at Hogwarts. His eyes widened slightly with excitement when he realized the thing in the Hufflepuff's lap wasn't a purse but a Kneazle! He had one too. Later on in the session he would have to go talk to her about Owen and possibly their pets could play together sometime. "Great Job Arya, I remember that lesson vividly aswell, right Gold?" he chuckled remembering Kitteh!Gold. "So everyone make note of what Arya said here because that is the homework that is due first on our master list." he nodded and then went to the next student who had spoken.



Firslty he did a little wave to the Hufflepuff to joined them he knew her name vaguely but had never really met her officially, he would definately have to do so later on once they got to work.
Ok and the Eveleyn spoke next. He had always liked her, they just never really hung out, they shoukd sometime thats for sure. She had personality and Chris liked that. "Correct Evelyn, Divination does not just have the professions we first think of when we here its name. Good good." he smiled at her cheerfully. He liked this he felt all professional-like almost a Professor.
And then his co-host piped up. She was just a pretty little smarty-pants and he loved it! "That's right Gold, the feild of Astronomy is as vast as the Universe itself. Good answer." he couldn't wait to talk with her some after he got them started.

"Ok well I will take it upon myself to sum up the other two lessons before we get started. In Muggle Studies we were given the chance to use a few Muggle tools to do some manual labor and see how they work. When we attended Arithmancy we calculated our Personality and Heart's Desire numbers." he nodded with finality. "So here in a minute we will get started but before I want to open the floor to you all for any general questions about homework, lessons, or anything actually since it isn't that often that you get an environment to sit down with Prefects and ask questions." he clapped his hands together, eager to answer anything they might have on their minds. "And I will also open the floor to my parnter Gold Lashk, for her to say a few words if anything comes to her mind." he stepped back and waited.

"Of course it's good, it's mine," Gold pointed out, cheerfully. She continued to make stick-figures and give them wings.

Fun, fun, fun!

Yay! Gold beamed at everyone present. "Hey guys," she said, cheerfully. "I think you're all a really fantastic lot, and should get 236 cool points each, for being here."

AND.

"... and I think it would be awesome, if you guys grouped according to the subject you're working on." Well, that was how it was done every time, and the people here probably knew that pretty well already, but a reminded never hurt, right? "Plus, I'm here to help so if anyone needs someone to discuss what happened in the joint lesson with, or go through their arithmancy calculations or re-check them, or summon material for them, for the Muggle Studies assignment, feel free to give Chris or me a poke."

Metaphorically not literally, of course.

"... and, as you can see, Chris was awesome enough to get us all sweets, so feel free to help yourselves to those." She looked over at the baskets, one in the middle of each table, full of dark truffle and Ice Mice and Chocolate Frogs, and half a dozen types of delicious candies. Gold was totally going to grab a few, later on. For now, she gave Chris looks. You know, the kind that said she wanted happy!hugs.

Lori gave the Head Boy a little wave, as he waved at her, and slid into a seat next to her best friend. "Goldieee," She greeted her, with a big grin and a one-armed hug, before listening to the others go into detail about the lessons that had gone on.

Sure, Lori had been there, but WHY didn't she remember this? OHY YEEEEAH! She hadn't paid muuuuch attention. Whooopsie.

"Well I need help with my Arithmancy, I kiiiiiiinda forgot to get that one done, and I'm not so good with the subject. I thought I was... Then I just calclated everything wrong... So.. like.. yeah.." She chuckled softly, and to prove her point, she pulled out a piece of parchment, covered in scribbled out workings.

Chris sat back on the table's edge looking at the students in front of him for a second waiting to see if they had any question before he and Gold decided to move on. Luckily Gold stood up next and delivered her little speech. He couldn't help but smile as she went on. His girlfriend was a funny little thing, wasn't she?

Ok so now that she was finished and the students knew they had permission to get started, they could begin. "Ok guys we will now go ahead and start our homework assignments, and remember any questions feel free to ask Gold or myself. You may also chat and help out your classmates!" he finished with a clap signaling them to go.

Annddd they had their fist person to help. "Ahh Miss late-arriver." he chuckled. He didn't know the girl's name even though he had seen her a few times around the school. "I'm Chris by the way, what's your name?" he chuckled as he took a seat next to her, looking down at her scribbled on parchment.

"Ok so you need Arithmancy help? What exactly do we have here and what do you need help with?" he chuckled. He was actually pretty good at the subject.

Lori laughed lightly, and nodded as the Head Boy introduced himsefl. "Lorelai Bristol. Nice to meet you Chris." She smiled, and quickly pulled out her arithmancy texbook.

"We haaaave... the calculating of the Hearts Desire/Soul Urge number, and theeeee..... Personality number, and then the interpretations. Interpretations i'm okay with, it's just my calculating, I always seem to get it wrong." Which was probably why she hadn't done as well in her Arithmancy OWL, than she had hoped.

Gold sat there, one leg crossed over the other, looking up only when Chris asked Lori Louu her name.

"She's my best friend," she said, uncrossing her legs and straightening up, to poke his forearm. He ought to know, who her best friend was. In fact, given that he knew most of her other friends, it was a surprise that he did not know Lor. "Be nice."

She turned to Loriii. "Well, you can calculate, and then I could go through your calculations," she offered. "To re-check them." Or Chris could, if he was free then. One of them, it didn't matter who.

Turning her head at her best friend, Lori grinned. Goldie was always so helpful to people - her included, and Lori loved her for that. " Uh.. 'Kay, thanks Goldie." The brunette giggled once, and pulled out her Arithmancy textbook and chewed at her lip as she checked the chapter listings for 'Personality Number'. After finding it on the listing, she flicked through the pages, chewing her lip some more as she read through the page, and then pulling out her muggle pen. Soooo much easier to scribble out with that.

Besides she could just copy it out neatly later on when she was curled up on bed.

Okay. Right, so she MOST CERTAINLY felt dumb asking for help, when there were younger students around, and typically, she wasn't looking up to catch any of their eyes, only her best friends and Mr. Head Boy. "Ooookeyy. Can someone check my failing work over please?"

Study sessions.

He'd been on study sessions before and they went rather normal, boring, and all. He hoped it'd be different this time though. New or well, different prefects. They sure could bring some fun to this study session but then again, study sessions were meant for studying so he would just do what he had to do, listen to what the prefects had to say, take down notes, talk a little bit, and go back to his common room. Then he'd call it a day and sleep. The end.

He walked past some people and headed to the table were the study session was to be started. Quietly, he sat down and lightly smiled at some random people.

There were a couple of students around but it seemed that they were lacking in number. Hopefully, other students would be at their meeting place soon because this study session could be fun... and well, educational.

Chris blushed slightly as Gold called him out on not really knowing Lori. "We just hadn't really had the pleasure of getting properly introduced and to get to know each other." he stuck his tongue out at his girlfriend and then continued. "Besides I knew who she was and all, she's been in most of the lessons I attended." he nodded turning towards the Arithmancy work.

And then he added in an afterthought. "Well nice to know Gold's best friend. And I am being nice Awesome!Gold." another time to stick one's tongue out.
The Head Boy had sat down next to Lori and watched as she had pulled out her work and showed the two Gryffindors (including himself) the calculations she had worked out. There were some problems but Gold and himself were there to help.

"Ok Lori, after looking over your work I can see that you calculated your Heart's Desire number correctly, gold do you want to double check that one for me to see if I mised something?" he looked at the work and spoke. "Now you did make a minor error in the Personality number calculation in the addition of the numbers in your last name. Tiny addition errors like this are what kill people in Arithmancy, one problem and it messes up the entire calculation, as you can see when you put together the last part to get the actual Personality number." he grinned and then scooted the paper back to her. "You did better than you thought." he said after pointing to the corrections.


Looking up and around the room to see if anyone else needed some help, the Head Boy noticed another new comer. "Well hello there, thanks for coming." he said with a large grin. "Is there any of the homework assignments you need help on, or are you rather work on something by yourself?" he said giving the hufflepuff the option.

So, these cool points...

Yea, they automatically just made her -236 uncool. However, she wasn't going to verbally complain about it since well, Gold was already continuing to speak and she didn't feel like interrupting. Because she liked Gold! Somewhat. Well, for a Gryffindor she was alright.

Pulling her notebook closer to herself, Evelyn tapped her pencil onto the book as she continued to listen to what was being said. Grouping. Another thing she didn't particular enjoy, especially since she was the only Slytherin there. Gah! But first, Gold just gave her an idea. "Is there a spell that gives that feeling of being poked?" she asked, a small smile on her face as she tried to look serious about the matter. She knew the Gryffindor didn't actually mean to poke them, but still... "I mean, i can't really reach you guys sooo..."

Yea...

And keep the bowl of sweets away from her. Too much sugar for one's sight! Wait. Was that a peppermint toad? Hmm. Maybe later...
