Selena looked at the Head of House and Potions Mistress a bit blankly. Was she going to give them supcakes again? There were already cupcakes on the table... she looked a bit annoyed though. If it was good news... it seemed scary when Lafay was saying it... retiring? quitting? Throwing a huge party because they were gone?

"I know, unlucky me, eh?" Ella laughed finally, then watched as he ate a baguette. And there she was, eating fatty chips. Sigh. "I'm only joking, i'm glad you're here." She smiled, then leaned forwards to peck him on the cheek. What a dramatic change of heart, hehe. "Well, i'm just sayin'.. If you weren't here, I would have probably eaten all of this by now." She said, and took a tiny bite of a cupcake. Mmmmmm. Nommy!

O_O He wasn't inviting her?! Whatever, that was a joke. Surely. Oooh yay. "Wickeddddd, a VIP. You sure do know how to make a girl feel special." She laughed, but that faded soon enough. "Meet your family? Errrm, I'd love to." She cleared her throat.

Before she could open her mouth to speak again, but somebody else's voice spoke over theirs. Oooh announcement time. Ella shut her mouth very quickly and listened.

Having been staring at a certain professor *cough* the staff table, Evelyn blinked suddenly when another Professor was suddenly...in her line of vision. Whaaaaa?

Blinking a few times to hopefully help her now watering eyes, Evelyn looked around to see if anyone else noticed when the Potions Professor got there. Aw, what the heck. Might as well just, not think about it. Weird things happen, and the Professor, was definitely one of them. Pretty much used to her glaring by now, the Slytherin leaned forward to the table with her hands in her lap so she was able to get a better view of the Professor and hopefully, hear better. Pssh, other tables were too chatty.

Now the real question however, was what was this announcement? She wasn't going to assign homework over the summer was she? That would fail...terribly.

Whoop Dee doo. Announcements. How fun. You know, out of all teachers Leilani liked this one the least. Particularly because she tought Potions. Ugh, she hated potions. But whatever. Sigh. She was listening anyways.

Emma looked up to see Professor Lafay, Head of Slytherin House and Potions Master come over. She didn't look to happy. She was glaring. Could she prejudice to other houses? She loved her classes. She sat and waited for the announcement. Emma stayed in her seat and waited patiently for the Professor to tell them.

Alex eyed the Professor, she didn't trust her head of house, not after Lafay threatened to set her on fire! She had been on fire once and it was not fun at all. She turned around so she could see Professor Lafay more clearly and not strain herself.

"They go the whole ten yards. Hugging and kissing us, turning the house into some sort of palace when she knows that we're not exactly posh. Rich yes, posh, no way" replied Bradin. That was a lie. He was kind of posh but not posh enough to act like it.

Emma grinned. "Oh no!! I'm sorry to hear that!! Sounds like my grandparents on my dad's side!!" she exclaimed laughing. "I know how you feel." She leaned closer and whispered. "Do you know why Professor lafay is here?"

Marie knew she should have went straight to the common room but no, she had to stop in the Entrance Hall... where Destiny found her... and started to drag her back into the Great Hall. "I don't want to go back in there Destiny. Just let me go back to the common room." she said as she struggled to free herself from her friend. Yeah that wasn't working. What the girl do, place a sticking charm on that hand of hers?

Before she knew it she was back in the Great Hall being drug back to the Slytherin table.

Well great, Carter was still there near the Slytherin table only he wasn't alone... Professor Lawson was there with him. Maybe Lawson would be able to knock talk some sense into that boy. Riiiight, don't look at him, that was easy for Destiny to say but not so easy for Marie to do. She wanted to run over there and hug...

...Lawson and beg him NOT to leave but she still couldn't get away from Destiny. "I don't think you will have to make him do anything, hopefully Lawson will take care of him," she said finally looking back at her friend. "Where are you taking me to anyway... and WHY do you have a bowl of patatoes in your hand?" Was she that hungry she needed the whole bowl to herself?

Bradin giggled and smiled cutely. "Luckily I don't flash my cash" he said. Then he looked up at Lafay and smiled as if to say I didn't do it. "Probably to give me a lifetime's worth of detention" he whispered back.

Jimbo had been looking for Leilani for a while. He hadn't even sat down yet. Just as he spotted her, he walked over and then Lafay came out of NOWHERE.
Startled, Jimbo reacted in a way that could get him in serious trouble. Especially with Lafay.

He quickly reached in his pockets, grabbed his last dungbomb and FLINGED it at her. With his hand in the air and the dungbomb soaring towards her, Jimbo froze.

Oh. Crap.

He did NOT just do that.
Detention for Jimbo? Yes? Wait, but it's the end of term. What can she do? Possibly set him on fire like she did in Potions class with those girls?
Ohhhhhh craaaaaaappppp. He was dead. Dead. Might as well make him his coffin.

"Pay. Attention!" She said with a hiss, her wand now out and pointing at them, "Or I will turn those traps you call mouths into padlocks until the end of the feast." She took a breath.

"I am here to first congratulate you on a smashing term. Winning the house cup is no small feet. I would like you to congratulate a few of your fellow housemates. First and foremost Miss Flores leading the points race for Slytherin... even though she was only 13 points behind the top student...." She clapped exactly three times with a smile on her face, and then turned serious again moving to the next students. "Miss Salazar, second place in Slytherin, Fifth in the school..." She said and clapped again three time. "Miss Shepard third, Miss Malfoy-Lupin fouth and Miss Zabini-Riddle fifth." Again she clapped three times for each of the students. "Also the quidditch team has placed Second in the Quidditch cup, an accomplishment that also lead to our house cup victory. Thank you to Captain Greenwood, for leading the team." She clapped again three times. "Finally to your prefects. Raiden Kururugi," She clapped, "and Prefect Hudonson, who will be leaving us and pursuing a career in the real wizarding world. I wish her, and all you other seventh years, luck as I'm sure does everyone else here at Hogwarts." She clapped again and then said "You all have made me" she sighed and added, "as well as former Head of House, I'm sure," she had to give Truebridge some acknowledgment... "very proud."

More clapping... and this time she let it linger.

"To you Slytherins who will be returning... I look forward to teaching you more about potions next term." And with a demonic smirk, she turned making her robes flourish and went back to the Staff table.

Leilani's head turned slowly at what sounded like a dungbomb going off. Her jaw fell open.

No way.

JIMBO?! What was he Thinking?!? Was he trying to get detention??

"Jimbo!" she hissed at him. Hopefully, the Professor hadn't noticed yet. She pulled out her headless hat and held it in her lap, ready to shove it at Mr. Ignorant.

Alex hid her face behind her hands blushing a very deep red. Was saying that really needed, no one cared about who earned the most points right? She just did what she wanted to, earning points wasn't on her list.. unless she was earning what she lost back of course. She would so make Zane regret it should he comment on what Lafay just said.. wait all five point earners were female? That was just.. sad to say the least, were all the boys sleeping this term or something?

Emma giggled at what Bradin said. She smiled happily. "I doubt it." she said. "Well hopefully not."

Then Lafay pointed her wand at Bradin. Emma was scared for Bradin. She then listened and once Lafay was done and gone, she patted Sel on the back. "Nice job Sel!" she exclaimed, giving her a smile. Phew she was glad the Professor didn't say Detention for the whole summer! She sighed.

Selena blushed. She didn't know that she had ranked top five... I guess actually doing some of the homework paid off. Hehehe. She smiled at Emma. "Thanks Emma," she said. For a second, she though Lafay was going to eat them all for dinner or something... Hehehe.

We wand was already in her hand, and hearing it whirrr towards her, she stopped it with a blocking charm. She retrieved it, confiscated it and looked at the boy who threw it. "Master Farley, you are lucky enough that points can no longer be deducted, and detention can no longer be given..." She went up to him, so close infact, she was in his personal space. "I'll see you in my class next year... I have a potion I've been dying to test on someone." and then she left.

Bradin heard Lafay mention mouths being traps and put his finger to his lips. "My mouth isn't a trap" he said. Not too loud but he still said it loud enough for Lafay to hear. Then she said she glad to be teaching them next term. "Ermmm, yeah" he said. He didn't really know what to say.

Then he looked at Emma. "Is my mouth a trap?" he asked. "And I'm lucky she didn't give me detention when I gave her my mouth" he added. Lafay was scary.

Emma smiled at her best friend. She leaned closer. "I actually thought she was going to give us detention for next year!" she said, laughing. She was glad Lafay didn't do it.


Emma shook her head. "No its not. Yeah you are pretty lucky. That was pretty close." said Emma. She smiled. Phew at least it was over!!

Bradin smirked. Maybe she forgot. Yeah, we'll go with forgot. "Yeah, moving on from Potions Mistress from hell" he said. Did he just say that out loud? Oopsies. Better hope she didn't har that. "If you wanna talk to me, I'll be under the table" he said realising what he'd said, and it was loud enoug for Lafay to hear.

She was so close. Super close. Too close. Scary, Scary, SCARY Lafay. Jimbo didn't even have the guts to apologize. She probably thought he did it on purpose. Now she's out to get him. Well. He'll be quite happy to come back in the fall won't he?

Jimbo was still frozen in place even as she walked away. He heard Leilani scold him but all he could do was stare at scary!Lafay as she walked back to the Staff Table.

Horrified, he slowly sat down beside Leilani. He turned to look at her. "Did you hear that? A potion. She just threatened me. I'm going to DIE, Leilani. Death to Jimbo Farley. Say your goodbyes now. This will be my last summer."

Where is Monty? Where IS she? Did she see that? Did she hear what Lafay said to him? He needed protection. He didn't want to die.

He grabbed Leilani by the shoulders and shook her. "I'm going to DIEEEEEEE."

Even though Aiden was a Gryffie.. and he felt like Lafay was pretty annoyed that he and the other non-Slytherins were present, he listened as she congratulated the snakes, clapping and nodding at the appropriate times. When the schpiel was over, he turned back to Ella and resumed their conversation.

"Glad to be here," he commented, a grin suddenly appearing as she placed a kiss on his cheek. Pfft. So, she'd eat more if he weren't sitting right next to her, then? Girls made no sense. "You are so strange." She made that cupcake look good, so Aiden reached over and grabbed a chocolate one with chocolate frosting. Mmm.

"Yes, VIP! I'll get you a special pass," he joked. He smiled at her next comment, giving a light shrug. "That's 'cause you are special. Even if you do confuse the heck out of me sometimes." He took a bite of his cupcake. Gahh. Om nom nom nom nom. Delicioso! Wait, wait. He lifted an eyebrow when he detected a sudden lack of enthusiasm about meeting his sister and mum. "You don't have to come early; I definitely understand if you don't want to." It's not like he'd want to push her into anything, and he'd probably freak about meeting her family anyway. Heh. "My mum would probably end up forcing labor upon you, making you help set up and such." Fun, fun. Pfft.

Leilani grabbed Jimbo by the shoulders.

"GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF!"

She grabbed his face with both hands and told him "Calm. Down. I will skip potions with you Jimbo, you will not die." Actually she was almost glad, this gave her a reason to to show up for potions.

Lani grabbed his arm and pulled him down to sit next to her. "Caaaaaalm. Doooooown." she told him. "For all we know, she'll be fired by next term." hopefully.

What the....

Where did crazy woman Lafay come from and WHY was she pointing her wand at Marie? Marie glared over at Destiny. If her friend would have just left her in the entrance hall she wouldn't have a wand pointed in her face right now. Really, could her night get ANY worse than this?

She stood there listening as Lafay congratulated them on their accomplishments this term. 'Gee, don't go overboard there with the excitement,' she thought. And then the woman was gone. Well how touching... NOT! Why did the woman even bother coming down to their table? It's not like she really CARED about any of them. At least Professor Truebridge truly cared about the students. HE should have been the one to give that speech, HE should hae been the one at the table with them... NOT the crazy lady who likes setting students on fire.

"Will you let go of me NOW?" she said looking back over at Destiny as she tried to pull away from her again.

How long before this night would be over?

Kevin was bored he wanted to get home already and relax for a while or well get onto the train he was just wanting this term to be over already he hoped that somebody would chat to him soon
