Carter smiled. "Well I guess I'll have to make the team then. I don't want your good cheering skills to go to waste." he teased. "Yup. Let's go!" he said.

Wow.. it's been awhile since I've been here. Raven couldn't believe that it had been a few days since she was last at her house table but having classes and studying, seemed to eat up all her time so she rarely got the chance to leave the dungeons. She sat down at the table then began loading her plate with chicken and potatoes, pouring herself some pumpkin juice. She felt a little bit like a loner now since none of her friends were around when she had free time, what she wouldn't give for having a couple moments of peace and quiet where she could just relax.

Gold had spotted RavenRaven and, picking up the big book she had been reading, made her way over to the Slytherin table. She grinned, now, as she watched Raven load her plate, and sat down next to her Slytherin bestie. "Mind if I join you?" she asked cheerfully.

So what if she had already joined Raven?

Hehe.

Yay I don't feel like such a loner right now! Raven chuckled slightly as Gold sat down then decided to ask if she could join her, not that she had a problem with that at all. "Of course you can Gryffindor, you sure you want to be seen at the Slytherin table though?" she asked with a slight smirk then picked up her fork and knife, beginning to eat the chicken.

She was just teasing though. Hah.

"Stop being a meanie, Slytherin," Gold grinned, as she poked Raven's forearm. Lightly, of course. "I've been here, before. I used to have a Slytherin for a boyfriend, remember?" She grinned, slightly. "Looks like awesome!me keeps running into awesome Slytherins."

Hehe.

"Who said I was being a meanie, as you so aptly decided to refer to me as Gryffindor." Raven said then giggled a little bit and rubbed her forearm where Gold had poked her, rearranging her face ever so slightly to make it appear that her best friend had hurt her. "I remember that, I'm surprised you actually brought him up seeing as you didn't want to talk about him earlier." She remembered what Gold was like after that break up, it was not a pretty sight whatsoever. "Well someone has quite the ego huh.. I still say that you should be a Slytherin."

Haha that was such an amusing idea.

"*I* said so," Gold grinned. "I say, therefore you are." Hey! That was NOT a play on the phrase, "I think, therefore I am." Her statement did not even contain two "I's!" What? It did not!

"I would be a disgrace to Slytherin house, in general," Gold said, with a shake of her head. "I can't be ruthless - well, not generally - and I can't smirk, to save my life. Remember the last time I tried to?" That had been pathetic. It didn't even look like a smirk. Ah well, at least she had tried. "Speaking of Dylan, I wonder how he is."

What on earth had possessed her to say that? She smiled, a tiiiny sad smile, and fell quiet, all of a sudden.

"Basically then, whatever you call me, means that I am that.." Huh? That was just incredibly confusing honestly. Raven frowned slightly then shook her head and continued to eat, she didn't need odd things confusing her further since it didn't help her really.

"Hmmm I do suppose you're right, it is a shame though cause we totally could have hung out in the dorm but I don't believe you'd enjoy our decor in the common room, it's very dark, there's skulls around and only a flicker of light coming from the fireplace." Seeing as Gryffindors wouldn't exactly know how creepy it would be in the Slytherin Common room. "Ah yes, that was rather amusing to be honest." Hah! "Don't wonder about him, just forget him.. you don't need to deal with that all over again."

She stopped eating for a second when she noticed Gold was suddenly quiet, that was rather unusual for her and became worried; she wrapped her left arm around her bestie's shoulders and gave her a one armed hug.

Um. "I don't know?"

Hehe.

"We still get to hang out." Gold smiled, lightly. She liked hanging out with Raven. Even though there were a heap of differences between the two of them, as far as nature was concerned. But there was no doubt that they could get along very well. AND Gold loved Raven. "-- and, sorry to say, I prefer warmth. Your common room sounds cool, but also creepy. But to each, their own, right?"

The hug made Gold feel better. "Thanks, I needed that." She was quiet for another moment, and then looked up. "Has this ever happened to you?" She asked, a little wearily. "I can't get the guy out of my head. He hurt, pretty much cheated on, and left me without a word. Why on earth am I still not completely over him? It doesn't make sense, Raven."

It didn't.

"Yay!" The one word that Raven rarely used as an expression had just come out of her mouth, it was rather surprising. She knew that there was no way she was leaving this school without spending more time with her bestie, that would not be cool at all. "Right, I mean I actually like the common room; it's just peaceful to me. But not everyone would find it really comfortable, one look in the room and they'd probably run away screaming." After she said that she giggled slightly.

"Yes.. even a heartbreaker like myself has been heartbroken and cheated on before, it happened in my 3rd year; my first boyfriend Jacob basically decided that he had enough of me and cheated on me with my best friend at the time without a word to me. I was just stunned." That story was always just so hard for Raven to tell because it just brought back everything she felt. "It is because there has not been complete closure to the relationship, if you want to get over him; you've got to talk to him." She knew that wasn't exactly what Gold wanted to hear but it was true.

Gold had never heard Raven use that word before, and that was exactly why she had to laugh. "I think we're both wearing off on each other, somewhat," she joked, before nodding. "You're right. That won't fit with everyone's tastes. Not mine, I know." But Gold had a tendency to like diversity and variations, so it was all good.

Gold frowned, when Raven told her, the Slytherin's own story. "He sounds like a jerk," she said, patting Raven's shoulder. "I'm glad you have Daniel, now -- and a thousand other guys that I don't know about." She stuck her tongue out at Raven, in an attempt to lighten up the atmosphere. But it was always hard for Gold to stay cheerful, when talking of Dylan.

"We talked. Once. Before he left without even letting me know." She paused. "It didn't turn out very well."

"Well is that a bad thing?" Raven joked, she knew that it wasn't; it just meant that since they had been hanging around each other for a long period of time, they began to pick up traits of the other person and it ended up being quite amusing at times. "I suppose that's why there's four different houses that each have their own flair when it comes to common room design, it usually ends up suiting everyone's tastes." Did she just use the words flair and design in the exact same sentence? I think she did.

"He was a jerk, merlin Irish lads are just so complicated; not saying that English guys are any different. Haha I've got plenty of other guys that you don't know about.. like Milo, he's a new Ravenclaw; actually would like to meet you since I said I would introduce him to some of my friends." Hehe of course she would say that.

"Well I'd say that you should just try to distract yourself from him, just find things to occupy your time and soon any memory of Dylan will disappear from your mind." Well if that didn't sound creepy.

"Depends," Gold laughed. "I don't want to wake up in your dormitory one morning, and realize I am now an official Slytherin." Hehe. Like that could ever happen. They both knew it couldn't.

Wouldn't.

"Whoa, whoa, you're talking big words towards, Slytherclaw!" It was fun to tease Raven. AND Gold had decided Slytherclaw sounded better than Ravenclaw. Because Raven was already a Slytherin, and if she was going to act like a Ravenclaw, than she was both. Hehe.

"Oh, I would love to meet him." Trust Raven to flirt with a new guy, every other day. It could be fun, though. But Gold wouldn't know. She was a total angel, of course. BWAHA.

"I try." She shrugged, a little. "Chris is amazing, he honestly is. But Dylan was Dylan, and -- and I guess he's always going to be the first guy I actually fell for. Love is bitterly powerful." But her eyes said that they needed to close this topic, now. That of Dylan Denver.

"Haha now that would be rather hilarious." Raven said, taking out a spare Slytherin tie and tying it around her friend's wrist; she giggled slightly and decided that it looked good and was going to leave it there until Gold wanted to take it off.

"Slytherclaw! How dare you refer to me like that! Just because I have the tendancy to use big words when I want to does not mean that I am part Ravenclaw.." She was in a bit of a huff over having her friend calling her that and rearranged her face to make it seem like she was upset even though she really wasn't.

"I agree that love is bitterly powerful, as much as you want to believe that you won't get heartbroken; it's going to happen anyway. I hope you and Chris are happy together, you make a very cute power couple I must say." Not that Raven wasn't jealous to not be with someone who had some sort of power, but being with Daniel was perfect nonetheless.

:: Ehgad nearly choked on his buttered roll. "WHY IN MERLIN DOES RAVENCLAW HAVE SO MUCH POINTS!" He screamed. Standing up he pointed at the points counters and screamed at the amount of blue stones.

"WE'RE DOOMED!" He added dramatically, deciding whether to cry or scream again. ::

Justin looked up from the floor at the voice of a boy shouting. "Ok we got you. Who are you anyway?" he replied to the boy. He saw what he was talking about. "Damn! We are doomed" he said agreeing with the unnamed boy.

:: Ehgad moaned before sitting down. He turned to the other boy. "I'm Jarvey, Ehgad Jarvey. I'm a second year. I hate Ravenclaw... they ruined everything. We were just in the lead! We are the best, not them!" He whined into his plate of mash potatoes. "Either there's a way to get that many points or there's a crazy professor about. What should we do?" He looked up at the boy and hoped he'd have the answer.

Just when Ehgad thought he would have to stage a huge protest, the stones began to reverse.
The sound surprised him. "Mus have been a calculation error.... or a silly prank?" He whispered to the other boy. "Nothing to get bent out of shape for.. right?" He laughed off his previous mania and calmly stared at the counter while shoving some mashed potatoes into his open mouth. ::

Aww. "I think I'll keep this," Gold grinned. "Which means you're not getting it back," she added. "Not now, and not later."

Oh, come on! "You're actiiingggg," Gold teased. "You know you love being Slytherclaw!" Okay, forget that. Gold re-arranged her features, to look a bit more serious, and plowed on, "Well, I'm pretty sure most of us have the traits that are considered 'defining' of another house. I can get good grades, but that doesn't make me a Ravenclaw."

Power couple? "That's new," Gold laughed. "I'm happy, yes. As long as I don't think of Dylan," she added, with a shrug. She held Raven's hand, and swung her friend's arm a bit. "Love is strange."

It is. It so is!

"Don't need it anyways, I've got plenty of extras so you can definitely keep that. And you're finally wearing something Slytherin." Raven chuckled, paying more attention to her work on turning the tie into a bracelet. It was definitely interesting how the one person she hated the start of the previous term was the same person who is her bestie. Evidentially things changed and Miss Athlon realized that there was no point to fighting with Gold anymore.

"No it makes you a Gryffinclaw, if you want to play this game and call me a Slytherclaw then. But you are right that just because you have certain traits that are in another house does not make you that house; you were put into your house for specific reasons and whether or not people choose to believe that is completely up to them." Wow, total Slytherclaw statement right there.

"It's also frustrating too, not to mention incredibly confusing and trying on your nerves. I don't understand why love has to be that way, never perfect because that would be expecting too much." So true.

Gold chuckled. "Thanks." She let Raven do what the Slytherin wanted to. Transformations and stuff. "I've worn something Slytherin, before. I used to wear a charmed, runic necklace in Slytherin and Gryffindor colours. It was meant to benefit my bond with Dylan."

She shrugged, slightly.

Gryffinclaw? "I'll accept that, if you accept you're a Slytherclaw," Gold laughed. "Then we can both be some sort of 'claws." Gold wouldn't mind another house so much, if Raven was with her. But, at the end of the day, her heart would always be a Gryffindor's. She knew.

"Speaking of love -" Gold straightened up, to look at Raven. "What is going on, in your love life?" She did not mean Daniel, of course. She meant what other boys Raven had been around, lately. Because, knowing Raven, the girl was pretty much always in some sort of boy-trouble.

Hehe.

"There you go about Dylan again, you know you're not going to get over him if you keep talking about him Gryffindor." Raven said with a slight roll of her eyes and tapped Gold on the wrist, instantly wondering why she had did that afterwards since there really wasn't much of a point to that anyways.

But that was besides the point now. Or was it?

Of course she would want me to accept that I'm a Slytherclaw. Like that'll happen. "I'm not going to accept that, because I am not a Slytherclaw!" And as usual, she had to be stubborn since that was just the way she was and no one was going to change that either.

And I was waiting for Gold to mention that. Sigh. "Oh you know Milo? The one I was telling you about earlier? Well... I think he's interested in me, haha even the smart ones can't recognize that I'm trouble. I thought that was common knowledge." Most people that knew Raven had picked up that she was a heartbreaker and that meant bad things for the ones who were foolish enough to fall for her.

Justin raised an eyebrow. "Well giving the fact that I'm dating a Ravenclaw. I'm Justin and they just took part in lessons and followed the rule's" he replied.

Dianna stepped in the Great Hall to find herself being carried away with the smell of the food.
Oh how she loved breakfast, the smell of toast and eggs filled the air.
"Mmmmmm..." that was all she could say as she went of to find a seat at the house table.

Selena smiled at Dianna and took a seat across from her. "Hello Dianna, sorry for the wait," Selena said. "Well, Sarah's going to be joining us today on our little trip to the Wishing Fountain," Selena added as she eyed the chocolate fudge. Yum. She turned around though, just to make sure Sarah was there.

"Hi Diana! I hope you don't mind me joining you. And sorry for holding Selena up." she smiled and saw Selena eyeing the chocolate she remebered what she had said about the chocolates and sweets being eaten to hide her emotions. She frowned a little but then smiled again deciding to give Diana a little shock. "Hey Diana would you like to see something uh...interesting?" she asked with a mischieviously grin knowing all to well that changing hair and appearance isn't a normal thing usually. She chuckled at the look she pictured on diana's face. Haha.
