Selena laughed aloud. "I think you're missing the maple syrup, all sticky and sweet on some buttered pancakes," Selena teased.

Saiyomi shrugged and said, "I don't really have anything planned, I was just gonna relax, maybe explore." She took another bite out of her apple and said, "I got a letter from my brother, though, haven't read it yet."

"you should read it first," Selena suggested. "Maybe it has something of importance," Selena stated. "Just an apple?" Selena asked with an arched brow, "nothing else?"

Evan, eyes half open through sleepiness, walked down the Great Hall to the Slytherin table. Lucky that it was almost empty. He was too sleepy to understand a simple conversation now.

Pouring down a cup of coffee, he got some pancake and sausage, and started eating, yawning occasionally. He must find a solution to his sleeping problem, or he'd really fall asleep at some inconvenient place, like a classroom.

Olivia let out a loud yawn, she always hated mornings. It always seemed she never got enough sleep. Her pink hair was now tied back into a ponytail because she was too lazy to fix it at all this morning.

She turned to the boy next to her,"Could you pass me the syrup please ?"she asked, with a yawn at the end.

Saiyomi shrugged and said, "I left it in the dormitory, I'll just read it when I get back there." She took another bite out of her apple and smiled, "Yep, just an apple, its all I need."

"At least dip the apple in some caramel or chocolate sauce," Selena winked, "that's what I would do, otherwise, life just wouldn't be right!" Selena laughed deciding not to dwell anymore on the letter in case it would make Saiyomi upset.

Evan didn't really look at the faces of people who sat at the table, until a pink! one caught his eyes. That was enough to wake him up. Waaiit... wasn't she the one who PDA'd last night in the common room, while he was yet again arguing with Marie? Yes, she was! Evan wouldn't forget that pink hair. Wow. And she'd sat next to him. Er... Okay. He tried to continue his breakfast, but pinkness was too much of a distraction, just like it was last night. He was pretty surprised when she talked to him, and had to look for the syrup for a while, even though it was right in front of him.

"Here you are." he said not to her eyes, but to her hair. Rude, a bit?

She flipped her pink fringe out of her face and then smiled weakly at the boy."Thank you."she said, and then saw him not looking at her face but her hair."Yes I have pink hair and no it's not natural. I dyed it this way. I am not an alien or anything."she said with a grin on her face. She was used to this staring business and quite honestly, she didn't mind it. As long as nobody touched her hair she was cool.

Saiyomi smiled and grabbed some chocolate sauce, dipping her apple in it before taking another bite. "You know, that is tasty." She grabbed another apple, as her's was almost gone. "You know," she said. "You're the first person who hasn't said something about my white hair, other people always ask me why I bleached it, I don't know why though."

Evan smiled, again at the hair. He knew he really should be looking at her face at least, but he didn't see pink hair every day, did he? Maybe she was a metamor--no, it was artificial. But it looked pretty. He blushed and smiled at her confession of being not an alien. "The colour is just really eye-catching." But beautiful. With a little shake of his head, he turned back to his meal, with a mental note of looking into her eyes the next time.

"Your hair looks pretty," Selena shrugged. "Besides everyone expresses themselves differently," Selena smiled. "And I don't judge people base on how they look, so I wouldn't ask about it." Selena said.

Etoile frowned.
"You just killed it there, I'm afraid. Yuk. I Hate Maple syrup!" She glanced at the golden liquid. She never did like it. It was one of her grandmother's favorites. She had tried to make Etoile eat it. It still made her shiver, thinking about pancakes with Maple syrup.

"Thank you I guess ?"Olivia said and then shook her head, remembering she had not even told this boy her name."I'm Olivia George. Fifth year."she said, smiling weakly at the boy. She couldn't be totally bubbly yet, it was too early."Who are you ?"she asked, taking a bit of pancake.

"And I appreciate that," Saiyomi said. "Besides, my hair isn't bleached, its naturally white, while my brother's is naturally jet black, we're like polar opposites," she added with a laugh. She took another bite out of her apple and discarded it, dipping the other one in chocolate sauce.

"How about chocolate chip pancakes with chocolate fudge?" Selena said as she waggled her eyebrows suggestively then burst out laughing.


"Wow, that's cool," Selena smiled. "do you two like completely opposite things as well?" Selena asked, "like... if he were to attend this school, do you think he'd get into Gryffindor as opposed to your Slytherin?" Selena asked.

Saiyomi grinned and said, "Oh no, he'd be in Slytherin, but we'd be better at opposite classes, like DADA and Potions for me, and Transfiguration and Arithmancy, or something like that for him." She took another bite out of her apple, happily.

Evan repeated the name in his head a few times, though he wouldn't forget it even after a few years. Oddness did a great job to help people to be remembered. "EVan Cartwright. Fourth year." he said. Was she smiling too weakly? Shrug. It was too early in the morning.

Why getting up so early, then? Oh right, because he was too preoccupied with stuff these days.

"Hmm... your brother seems really interesting..." Selena smiled. "So of the two of you, who would be better at charms?" Selena asked. "I think you'd kick his **** in it," Selena giggled.

Saiyomi laughed and said, "You're right about that, he sucks at charms." She ran her hand through her hair and took another bite out of her apple. "Do they have bananas here?" she asked curiously, looking up and down the table.

Etoile laughed with her. "No.. thanks" She managed to say between her fits of giggles. "Believe it or not, I'm full!"

Olivia nodded, she was sure to forget his name by next week. It wasn't her fault she was bad with names."If I don't remember your name don't take it personally. I have an awful memory."Olivia said with a tiny sigh at the end. Hopefully he understood. She then laughed a little bit as she took another stab at her pancakes,"You look older. I would have guessed 7th year."she said, smiling at him. Now the real Olivia was coming out.

She took a bite of her pancakes and flipped her pink hair, she frowned seeing syrup in her ponytail."Aw.."she said, looking at the tips of her long hair. Well today was certainly going to be a good day ! Yeah...not exactly. If a day started out bad it usually ended bad.

"Hmm... let me try this..." Selena said as she pulled out her wand. "Accio bananas!" Selena said loudly and clearly as a bunch of bananas whizzed by and landed in front of them. "Yay! It worked!" Selena laughed.

"Gasp! You full?!" Selena exclaimed mockingly, "what has the world come to?! It is surely the end of the world!!" Selena said overly dramatic and smiled at Edie.

Saiyomi clapped and said, "Why didn't I think of that, thank you Selena." She took a banana and put it on her plate, planning to eat it when she was done with her apple, she loved fruit, well, most fruits. "Want one?" she asked before she took the last bite of apple.

"Take me to the hospital wing and call the wizengamot! In fact, why not notify the daily prophet, just in case?!" She smiled. "On the second hand, I don't think another waffle will hurt." She reached for a waffle and bathed it in chocolate.
"yuuum. Chocolate..."
