Ella's eyes narrowed as the girl in front of her was trying not to laugh. She expected it but it was still rude! "Thanks for your concern." Right whatever. She wasn't really concerned about her painful fall to the ground, she was just trying to hide her giggles. 'I see right through youuuu.' She ignored her hand that she offered out and got herself up. Yup, she could be rude right back.
As the girl studied Ella's face too, she nodded when she finally remembered. "Yeah. I was talking to someone and you butted in ...joined us for a moment." She said coldly but that soon faded. Ella was the sort of person to hold a grudge but she probably shouldn't towards a Prefect. "Hi Nancy. I'm Ella." She introduced herself awkwardly. "Nice to meet you properly this time." She smiled finally at her.
Okay, now she really felt a little bad about it. But still, who wouldn't laugh at somebody who had just tripped on their shoe lace?! A Prefect, probably. Crap!"Look, I'm sor-"Nancy had already opened her mouth to apologize to the girl when the Slytherin dared to refuse her outstretched hand and got up herself. WHAT?! Naturally, the Prefect did NOT finish her previously started sentence. Pfft.
Raising her eyebrows at the girl, Nancy simply regarded her for a moment, a frown plastered across her face. "Yeaaah. I remember now. Sorry for interrupting your attempts at flirting." She teased, a small smirk on her lips. Even though the coldness in the other girl's voice bothered her, she couldn't quite stay angry at anybody but Steven. "Yes, nice to meet you too, Ella." Err, yes. "You new to Hogwarts?" Because she hadn't seen her around at all...

It wasn't that Brinkley was slower than the rest of Hogwarts, it was just a common reaction to her name, wasn't it? Sho was infinitely easier for anyone, unless you were proud of your tongue's dexterity and did not mind the waste of time that it took to sound her entire name out.
"Can't disagree there," he murmured in response to Sho's comment about her hair. It was a belated response, however, so it might have gone completely unperceived.
Not that Brink cared. Why was he sticking around? Turning back his attention to his previously itchy palm, Brinkley started slinking away from the group of kids.

Josephina was now nearly convinced that the glasses wearing prefect from her yearbook HAD to be the new divination professor. She would bet her favorite Jane Austen book on it. Though actual names were escaping her at present time, she had to go speak with him, nonetheless. Making the long trek from her second floor office up to the seventh floor, the Arithmancy professor couldn't help but think how LONG the trek got.
She didn't know why, but for some reason, meeting an old colleague made her nervous. With another reluctant step forward, she moved toward the Divination tower.

Iris climbed all of the many, many stairs to the top floor, in search for the astronomy tower. As she passed the tapestry opposite the room of requirement, Iris smiled to herself, remembering the leaving party that her and Satine had thrown in there for Fallon.
She carried on walking down the corridor, not stopping to talk, until she got to the bottom of the astronomy tower. Hopefully the observatory would be open ...

She laughed at his comment and accepted the cupcake. Grinning at the purple frosting, Lucy licked it off first. "Mmmm, this frosting is good!" She said and then took a bite of the cupcake. It was reallly really reallyyyyy good and she closed her eyes as she savoured it. "Oh wow Tor, this is incredible!" She said thickly because she was still chewing. Once she had swallowed, she opened her eyes again and grinned at him. "You're amazing, you are."
As for never asking him if he baked or not, she giggled. "Well, it never came up!" And then she stuck out her tongue at him, too.

He got rather smug as she complimented him on the cupcakes. Well, he couldn't help but feel better knowing that someone liked something he did even if it was basic and done in class. "You should try my cupcakes. The one that's my own recipe." She would be even more amazed.

"I am totally jealous!" She had tried to make a cake with Tyler and it turned out pretty good except that maybe he had done all the work.

"No, I did. But it was a recipe from a book. I mean my own recipe." Hopefully she would understand. His were the best ever as he had been told. But then maybe Brody had been lying to him. He preferred to think that she didn't do that though.
