"Oh....I see.....then I will not use it here." Timothy grinned slightly evilly. "So.....having fun in class?"

Timothy really couldn't think of anything else to talk about....but at least they weren't talking about the weather.

Maddie smiled, glad to have moved away from the previous (and slightly uncomfortable) topic
'Yes, I am finding the classes particularly enjiyable. Except for Potions...' she said. 'I fear that image of those students burning is going to be imprinted in my mind for ever' she sighed, and gave a small shuder. It was not a pleasant image. At all.

Timothy looked keenly at her, "It is a very interesting tactic, setting children such as us on fire.....it distils fear, and that is something that a teacher should be.....feared." That was how he had been raised, his uncle had worked at Durmstrang and had probably set more children on fire without the use of shields. "Did they get seriously injured?"

Maddie shook her head
'No, they did not. She burnt them so that people could test their burn healing unctions'

'Hmmmmm......well that is a good way to teach, it would be like that in the real world."

Timothy grinned.

Maddie smiled back
'Yes, I suppose it is' she said slowly, seeing his point of view.

Timothy was greatly surprised that she saw his point of view. Yet she was his friend....so maybe he could be persuasive, she was so nice.

"So your patronious....how did you get to be able to produce a full one at our age?"

'Oh, I just practised it a lot' Maddie said, smiling 'It was tricky at first, but the more you practise the easier it gets' She was glad they had changed the subject... again.

"Well practice makes permanent eh? Or was is Perfect? Who knows........You will have to teach me sometime....."

He smiled at her.....

'Yes, I will teach you' she said 'But not now.'

"Sweet! Thank you very much Madeline!"

Timothy grinned widely, "I can teach you some of my uncles spells if you wish....."

He doubted that she would.

Madie smiled and shrugged
'Why not' she said 'Could be useful someday...'

Timothy felt a smile light upon his face, "Well anytime you want instruction, I can give my Uncle an Owl message and he will send back a lesson....in fact I could send him one right now if you wish...."

'No, we should wait until morning' Maddie said 'You can teach me your spells, and I can teach you mine' she smiled

"Yes we should that sounds like a perfect idea....you don't think we'll get in trouble....?"

Timothy was nervous....but his uncle wasn't evil or anything....he....he would use the spells for good.

'No, I doubt it' said Maddie confidently 'It is a school, right? So they cannot stop us learning'

"Yeah you're right, they can't stop us at all! Though some of the stuff I have seen Nath do is rather dark in nature..." Timothy paused and grinned widely.

I just need to get away.. all this talk of the future is just making me all stressed out. Raven just didn't not want to contend with the fact that she was graduating at the end of the term since Hogwarts had become a second home to her and despite her earlier rant on how she despised the school in her 5th year, truthfully she loved it here and didn't want to leave. Finally deciding to return to the room where she had hung out 2 terms ago with her best friend Andi, she realized that it was time to forget the future and just rock out.

She entered the room to find a bass, drum kit, amps, a microphone and a guitar; pretty much everything she needed to practice. Grabbing the bass with her left hand, she picked up the cord and plugged it into the amp then began playing something that she was working on for her band.

Branson Milo Carroll was walking down the hallway wondering what fun there was to do in this "oh so special" castle. He paced back in forth by this random wall and suddenly it turned into the door. Being the curious boy that he was, the boy reached for the knob and gave it a firm twist and was taken aback by blaring guitar music coming from within.

It was like he had never left home. Blinking once, Milo entered the room to try and find the source of the noise and saw a girl standing there with a bass in her hands, strumming away.

Raven was so into the riff that she didn't hear the door knob turning and someone walking in, she continued what she was playing then finally raised her hazel eyes slightly to notice it was a guy. Hmm, he looked a bit younger than her but nevertheless, that didn't mean he wasn't cute. Seemed like a bit of a musician like herself, she could just tell by the way he looked which definitely intrigued her.

She set the bass down for the moment and brushed her blue hair away from her face, fixing her robes slightly; she looked a bit like she had just woken up but that was because she actually did just wake up, didn't exactly feel like doing anything today really.

"Oh um.. hi there." Wow could you have made that anymore awkward?

Milo jumped slightly as the door shut behind him with a bang, not even realizing he had let go of the knob.

"Hi there." he replied looking the girl up and down in the robes that just didn't seem to fit her persona.

"I'm guessing that I'm interrupting your practice now aren't I?" Milo added, stating the obvious and furrowing his brow. "How did you manage to make an amp to work in here anyways? I mean don't Muggle items not work at Hogwarts?"

Raven smirked slightly when he asked about the amp, it seemed like many people underestimated what she was capable of and it was getting a little tiring. She took her wand from her pocket and twirled it between her dark purple painted fingernails then began pacing around the room before stopping and rocking back on the heels of her Vans.

"I managed to get a lot of muggle things to work in this school by using very careful charm work, unless you have a lot of patience then I don't advise you to attempt it. It took me 4 months to charm everything properly, plus I had to test everything to make sure that it would all work in magical buildings." She replied with a slight grin and continued to twirl her wand between her fingers.

"Don't believe we've met before, the name's Raven Athlon, 7th year Slytherin and I'm known around this school as Evil Raven because I'm part troublemaker, part heartbreaker." That seemed to summarize what he needed to know for now. Smirk.

Milo's eyes followed the girl as she walked back and forth, he felt like he was watching a tennis match on the television or something.

The girl seemed to be very talented for her age, either she was older than he perceived her to be, or she was just completely gifted for her age. Of course, the following introduction answered the boy's question of her age.

"Well it's a pleasure to meet you 'Evil Raven'" Milo replied with a small smirk of his own to the girl's nickname. At least it was more frightful than the one his 3 year old brother had given him. Course that would never be introduced to anyone.

"My name's Milo, I'm a...sixth year I think. And I'm in Ravenclaw." the boy said with a firm nod of his head. "I'm not sure I have such convincing qualities as you possess. So I'm just Milo for the time being."

When the guy decided to call her Evil Raven, she raised her left eyebrow slightly then sat down behind the drum kit and grabbed the drumsticks, resting her foot on the pedal for the kick drum. It wasn't like she minded to be called that, but when she actually thought of the meaning of that nickname; it seemed to make her feel a little bad.

"Ravenclaw huh, interesting. I know a few Ravenclaws, mind you some of them are complete loons. Should warn you about some of the Professors around here, you would know about your Head of House, Professor Vindictus; do not fly around the lake or you'll be in a lot of trouble. And then there's the new Potions Professor who had set students on fire, now there's Prefects in detention for protesting the class." Not that she didn't respect Potions as a class, but that behavior was completely unnecessary for a class room.

"You'll earn a title around here if you stick with me long enough, Milo." She said with a slight devious smirk then began with a drum roll, moving her wrists quite quickly and not bothering to control the volume since she didn't care who heard her.

Milo listened intently to what the girl's advice about Ravenclaws and some random teachers that he hadn't even met yet. Of course he had heard of Professor Vindictus once or twice while he sat in the common room.

"Set on fire?!" he said in an alarmed voice. What sort of place did he sign up to go to, a torture zone? If this sort of thing was regular, Milo was going to write right away to his parents to ask if he could go back home. No way would he stay here if he was just going to put on fire or something else.

'You'll earn a title around here if you stick with me long enough, Milo.'

The boy snapped out of this thoughts as the girl began to bang at the drums rather noisily but with the skill that could match his own father at the peak of his career.

"Who says I wouldn't mind to have one?" he asked the girl in a raised voice and a wink as he sat himself down on the ground comfortably and stretched out his legs, leaning on his palms as he watched Raven play away.
