Lucky jumped a little bit when Professor Dude closed the door. Did he HAVE to close it to where it made a loud thud?

She stayed where she was, looking towards the table and chair that appeared. When the question was asked, she finally made eye contact with the Professor. "Hmm. Let's see..." She trailed off for a few seconds, acting like she was trying to think of why she was here in the first place. "It wouldn't be because I took your glasses and made a duplicate of them, right?" Actually, she made duplicateS. She made just enough so they all fit in her robe pocket, and she made them right before dinner. That meant they still had a few more hours to go before they disappeared!

Grinning slightly, she pulled out one of the black rimmed duplicated glasses from her robe pocket and put them on her face. HEHE. She looked just like Professor Dude now.

Nolan sighed. "That IS why you're here, actually, bec...WAIT," he paused and blinked at her. "You made a duplicate of them?!" he asked. Why on EARTH would someone want to make a duplicate of his glasses?

He found out a second later. To make fun of him, that was why. Frowning, he raised his wand and gave it a little flick, causing the glasses to disappear. Haha, very funnnnny. She was STILL making fun of him even in detention!

"I actually brought along a pair of glasses for you to wear while you're doing an assignment for me. I whipped them up especially for this occassion." he explained, pulling a pair of leopard print glasses out of his pocket and setting them on her desk. She'd find out soon enough that, when she finally put them on, they'd make HER eyesight just as bad as his was without his precious glasses. A taste of her own medicine, if you will.

Lucky nodded her head and was about to say something until the Professor flicked his wand, and then the glasses disappeared. Not cool, dude. "I rather enjoyed wearing those glasses," she stated. At least she had a couple more where that came from, but bringing them out now probably wouldn't be such a good idea. She didn't want all those glasses taken away before she got out of detention!

"They are such lovely glasses," she commented while eying the things that had been placed on the desk. They somewhat looked like Professor Dude's glasses since they were black rimmed, but she could soooo do without the leopard print on them.

Finally, she walked over and sat down in her chair. She wasn't going to put those things on until she knew the answer to, "What's the assignment?" It had to do something with writing because why else would he make her bring a quill with her?

Nolan smirked. "You're going to write down ten reasons why it's important to respect professors and their property," he explained. "And when you're writing, be sure you write NICE and clearly, since I don't want to spend another hour down here trying to dechiper chicken scratch," he added. Easier said than done once she put those glasses on, he was sure.

"We'll have a nice little chat while you write, too," he told her, leaning back in his chair and twirling his wand between his fingertips. "Can you think of anything, besides the glasses incident, that you've done recently to me or any other professor that might be disrespectful?"

HA! Lucky was write about the whole writing thing. Yet, she didn't want to write ten reasons, but she had to if she wanted to get out of this place. "My handwriting doesn't look like chicken scratch," she mumbled as she picked up her quill that she had placed on the desk earlier. "And I need some parchment unless you want me to write on the desk."

Oh yayyy! She loved chatting. Though, his topic wasn't something she would enjoy chatting about. There were much more important things to talk about for sure... like unicorns! "Hmmmmm. You didn't think that picture was disrespectful, did you? I mean, you're head could have scaled better, but..." She trailed off. "Yeah."

"Oh yes, my apologies," Nolan said, waving his wand and conjuring a piece of parchment for her to write on. Her writing didn't look like chicken scratch NOW but, once those glasses were on, it would certainly be a challenge.

"Actually I DO think that picture was disrespectful. Clearly you were drawing it just to make fun of my head--which is PERFECTLY average sized, by the way--and it was unnecessary. You're supposed to RESPECT your elders," he said, pausing after he spoke. Bleghh, bad choice of words. He wasn't an elder yet!

"Well, go ahead and put the glasses on," he said with a small smirk. "The sooner you start writing the sooner you'll be out of here."

Lucky had to try SO HARD to hold back her giggles, but she succeeded and not a single giggle left her mouth. Did he honestly think that his head was average sized? He had a huge forehead! HUGE. But if he wanted to believe that he had a normal sized head, then she wasn't going to burst his bubble. "I thought you would have like my drawing," she said. "I spent half my morning drawing it." It did take a while seeing as she was multi-tasking while eating her breakfast.

"Okay okay, I'll put the glasses on." She picked up the leopard printed glasses, and placed them on her face. ZOMG. Why couldn't she see anything?! How was she suppose to WRITE when she couldn't SEE? "What... kind of glasses ARE these?" She asked. Now she could see why he mentioned her handwriting looking like chicken scratch. Blehhh.

Seeing as she knew she was going to have to write with them, she picked up the quill and started writing:

1. respecting professors is the right thing to do
2. you wouldn't want your property taken
3. you don't want to end up in detention
4. it's mean to not respect them
5. you don't want to get on the Professor's bad side
6.
No doubt whatsoever that her handwriting looked horrible!

Nolan smirked. "They're special glasses that are meant to show you what it looks like to someone when you take AWAY their glasses--specifically, me. It's not very fun, is it?" he asked. Not fun at ALL.

He pulled a brownie wrapped in cling wrap out of his pocket and started snacking on it. "Do you think there are any STUDENTS you've disrespected in some way?" he asked. He knew of at least one person who had been on the receiving end of her pranks.

OH. So this was what Nolan saw when he didn't have his glass? Geez, he was such a blind man! "No, it's not fun," she replied. At least Lucky could make out the parchment outline on the desk so that she didn't have to worry about writing on the desk or anything. "And all this blurriness if making my head dizzy." She was almost done with this writing, and then she would be able to take the glasses off! Yayyy.

She continued writing:

Quote:

1. respecting professors is the right thing to do
2. you wouldn't want your property taken
3. you don't want to end up in detention
4. it's mean to not respect them
5. you don't want to get on the Professor's bad side
6. you might get yelled at
7. your reputation will be destroyed
8. you might have to wear horrible glasses that ruin your eyesight
9.
She stopped writing when she heard the sound of something being taken out of plastic. Was he... EATING? "Didn't you just eat dinner?" She asked. How could he still be hungry? Anyways, she needed to answer his question instead of questioning him... "Yes, Torin Kane. But I had a good reason to do what I did to him. We go waaaaay back and he's just... mean. And annoying." Pretty much all the above. Nodding her head slightly, she went back to writing:

Quote:

8. you might have to wear horrible glasses that ruin your eyesight
9. you might get expelled instead of detention
10. nobody will trust you anymore
"DONE." Once that was announced, she took off the glasses and placed them on the table. She blinked a few times to regain her normal vision, and then she looked down at what she wrote. Her handwriting was horrrrible! If the Professor could understand what she wrote, then he had some awesome reading skills.

"Exactly my point--if I hadn't caught up to you in time, I'd have to deal with that bluriness until I got up to my office. If I got there without barrelling anyone over, I'd have to search around for contacts or my spare glasses and by that point, I'd have a horrible headache," Nolan explained. Wasn't that common knowledge? That bad eyesight gave you bad headaches? Hmmm.

"I did--this is dessert," he added matter of factly. Obviously. Sure, he was thirty but that didn't mean he still didn't have the appetite of a teenager sometimes. He polished off his brownie in a flash as she finished her list, and he took it once she was done and looked it over. Wow. That handwriting WAS terrible. At least that was proof that he had proved his point, right?!

"Prefect Kane may be annoying to you, but he's still a prefect and therefore, should be respected. You don't want him giving you a demerit, do you? He has the power," he informed her, just in case she wasn't aware. "But anyways, I hope my little glasses helped make my point. Any more mishaps like this in the future and you'll end up with something much worse than a detention," he warned her. She only had like, three years of school left right? She could soooo hold herself back when it came to pranking people, right?

He hoped so. "You're free to leave," he informed her, waving his wand and cleaning up the quill and parchment she'd just given him.

Having a headache from blurriness = bad.

Lucky had learned something from this detention. No, she had learned two things; the other thing she had learned was that Torin could give out demerits. Torin... wouldn't give her a demerit, right? That was a question she was going to have to think about. "What can be worse -- okay, nevermind. I understand," she replied. She didn't even want to know what was worse than detention.

Once the Professor said she could leave, she turned around, and then she turned right back around the face him. "One more thing," she announced before pulling out the five pairs of the duplicated glasses. They were going to disappear soon anyways and she was going to go to sleep when she got to the common room, so there was NO way she was going to be able to keep them anyways. "Here." She placed them on the table. "Now, I'm going. Bye Professor Dude!" At least she had said Professor, right?

And then she left the room.

Lucky Torelli had survived detention. HECK YES!
