She was focusing on transforming Ivory's watch back to a ink bottle, staring it down as she took in every feature. That was when she saw her own watch turn back into a salt shaker. At first she thought that Ivory had changed it back, but when she realized that this was impossible unless her friend learn to preform nonverbals without telling her.

Frowning slightly at the salt shaker, she picked it up and listened as her friend spoke. Her mouth twitched into a smile when Ivory finished, such a good friend she had. Even if she wasn't gonna be thinking about using the watch for survival, cause then her mind would wonder and she would totally loose focus. Kinda like she did with Sir Lawson in the RoR last term.

"Lemme try again."

She took the salt shaker from her friend and examined it carefully, picturing the transformation in her mind and then the watch itself. After a long moment she placed the salt shaker back on the table and preformed the wand movements. "Horolos."

The salt shaker slowly turned into the beautiful gold watch she had pictured. And it was ticking, but with no hands. Where not gonna worry about how it was ticking with no hands. She gave the watch a tap. "Reverto."

Watching as it changed back, she ignored the owls above and focused on the salt shaker. She turned her wand and ended it with a flick. "Horolos." Slowly the salt shaker turned back into a ticking gold watch, this time with hands and all. For a moment she just watched it to make sure it would stay a watch and when it did, she sighed with relief. With a smile she handed it back to Ivory. "Now it should stay."

OOC: It will stay a watch, until you know....Ivy changes it back xD

"See I knew you could do it!" Ivory had all the faith in the world that this time the watch was going to stay a watch...at least until she was done with it.

Smiling, she plopped the gold watch right in her line of vision and took a few deep breaths. Concentration. Focus.

Flat circle with a hinged cover. Knobby top to spin for the time. Gold metallic finish. Weighed considerably less than a salt shaker. Roman numerals. NO SALT!

Now she visualized it changing. Elongating. Becoming glass, clear. The gears dissolving into salt. The knob popping into a perforated cap. The edges rounding out. No more metal texture. No sound or ticking coming out of it.

Then with as much confidence she could muster, in herself and in her best friend's magic, she pointed her wand at the temporary clock and pronounced the incantation.
"Reverto."

At first she thought nothing had happened but then she noticed that the middle was dissolving. That the knob had turned a metallic chrome. That little holes were appearing. That the gold was losing its sheen and slowly becoming see through so that she could actually see the little gears which soon were nothing but salt crystals.

"Whoo voila zee salt sha-qer!"

Giggling at her horrible faux accent, Ivory paraded the salt shaker around the table and sprinkled some salt on various dishes still mimicking the horrid french accent.

Emily hesitantly found an empty spot at the Ravenclaw table. She looked around and realized that she didn't know one person there. Well, that was to be expected. After all, she had been sick with Spattergroit since the beginning of term, so this was technically her first day at Hogwarts.
Should she talk to someone? Introduce herself? Emily was usually pretty outgoing, but she wasn't used to this. It was unfamiliar, and there were a lot more students than she'd expected.
She sighed and took a bite of her toast. Maybe someone in this school would be nice enough to approach her...or maybe not.

Arya giggled as her friend sprinkled salt around thier table, well her table since she was a 'claw. Still she didn't care that what was left of her food had been covered in salt since she was already full.

Picking up Ivory's watch, she examined it closely while concentrating. This task was much easier now that the majority of the owls had delivered their letters. She did however get slightly distracted by the hands of the silver watch but quickly refocused her concentration.

She needed it to become a empty ink bottle once again. This would be much easier than making it a watch. Placing the silver pocket watch down on the table, she twirled her wand slowly before aiming it at the watch.

"Reverto." She said softly.

The watched slowly transformed back into the empty ink bottle, black ink stains and all. Smiling at her accomplishment, she handed it back to her best friend. "I believe you are in need of some ink to match that bottle."

Carter headed to the Ravenclaw table checking his watch. Perfect, right on time. Looking up and down the table he didn't spot Roxxy or the Ravenclaw Captain. Picking a seat he sat down and waited for the other two to arrive.

Roxxy headed into the Great hall prepared for the third of four interviews. This time the blond second year lion was on time and with a few minutes to spare. Strolling over to the Ravenclaw table she spotted Carter already there. Slipping into a seat next to him she said "Hey, Carter! The Ravvie captain is called Nia right, or?" Some names were easier to remember than others but getting a captains name wrong wasn't good for herself or the quill.

"Hey Roxxy." Carter said with a smile. "Yup, Nia Newtington." he said checking his parchment. Yup, he got it right. "Can you believe this is our third interview already? We are doing great staying on top of things."

"Nia okay I'll remember that." Sigh she had after all remembered correctly but Roxxy hadn't been sure. Hearing Carters comment she nodded "Yes just one interview left after this. I hope we can get something good out of the interviews." Roxxy glanced towards the door to the great hall but no girl seemed to be heading for the Ravenclaw table. Well there was still time maybe Nia was just running a bit late.

Morgana entered into the great hall and headed towards an empty seat at the Ravenclaw table. She stopped when she saw a girl who looked her age sitting alone nibbling on some toast. She walked towards the girl and sat next to her.
"Hi." She said while extending her arm out for the girl to shake. "My name is Morgana."

Ariana walked into the great hall, looking around she found an empty seat across a group of girls sitting together. She was quite shy so she decided to keep quite in the hope that someone might approach her. In the meantime she took out the daily prophet and absently read through the news.

Nia headed to the Ravenclaw table, a bag of books slung over her shoulder. She was planning on heading to the library for some extra study after grabbing a quick snack. First though, she was here for a interview with The Quill. She had a few butterflies in her stomach. Why was she nervous? She was going to answer a few questions - it wasn't like a question on selections for an International Squad. Hmm...

She slid along the bench a short way, and glanced round to see if she could spot who was meant to be conducting the interview.

Carter looked up and down the table. He then spotted Nia a little down the bench. "There she is." pointing her out to Roxxy. He then waved over to her for her to join them. Then they could get started.

Nia twiddled her thumbs a bit, before looking around again. And then she saw a Gryffie waving her over. She gave a small gulp. It seemed it was time for her interview. Moistening her lips, Nia gave both the reporters a smile. Just be natural, and be yourself, she thought to herself as she took a breath.

Composed and ready to answer whatever they might throw at her (well, nearly anything) Nia scooted down the bench to them, bag dragging behind. "Heya! How you doing today?"

Carter smiled as the Captain scooted over to them. "Hey. We're doing good." he said. "I'm Carter and this is Roxxy." he said pointing to his Quill partner.

"Anyway. We're going to ask you a few questions for the school newspaper. I guess we can go ahead and get started." he said.

He looked down at his notes. "So how does it feel to be selected as Captain this term?" he asked. "Are you nervous? Excited?"

Nia shoved her bag on the floor, and smiled. "Hi Carter. Roxy." She nodded at them in turn as she spoke. "Sure, go ahead. I'll try and answer your questions as best I can." She gave a nervous chuckle.

Nia took a moment to think. "It's really awesome. To become captain was something I've kinda dreamed about since I got on the team in my first year. Who doesn't as a young fan? I guess its the first real step to Pro Quidditch for any young player, and so yeah, to actually be chosen as Captain, and follow in the footsteps of so many talented players before me is a real honour and dream come true."

She took a bottle of water from her bag, and took a quick sip. Why was her mouth dry so quick? "As for being nervous and excited? Both... Nerves are always a good thing for getting the adrenaline going, and I'm excited about the team we've got and just getting out on the pitch. I love playing, which is always the main thing."

Roxxy smiled warmly at Nia saying "Hi!" Drawing her questions sheet and note parchment closer to her she let Carter do the introductions and begin the interview. Nia seemed to be a very eloquent with words which made Roxxy think that they'd get lots off material to work with. Scribbling some notes it was time for the Next question!

"So how did the tryouts go? Did any particular players stand out among the people you selected for the team?" It felt nice to get warm in the interview clothes and be a bit professional even though she was only 12.

Nia smiled, relaxing into the interview. it wasn't scary at all really, now she'd actually started talking. She tucked a blonde curl behind her ear and listened to the next question.

"Tryouts went really well, thanks," she replied. "Well supported, and of course there were a fair few who stood out." Her eyes twinkled mysteriously. "I'm not going to release any major details, as I'm sure you'll understand I'm very protective of my team's strategies...but I think a first year protege and an unusual flying style particularly stood out to me. A few new faces, as well as some experienced players. A good balance." She winked. That was all they'd get out of her on that subject for the moment.

Carter wrote down a few notes and then looked down at the next question. "Since you're a new captain are you planning on sticking to the same strategies that the former Captain used or are you going to use different ones?" he asked.

Nia rested her arms lightly on the table. "Both, a mixture of old and new," she replied with a smile. "We had some really good spells of play last season, but equally disappointing moments too. So I want to take forward only the best bits. And of course, new and improved players means different and exciting new stratagies become possible. We'll being playing to all our strengths, and as hard, fast and determined as has become expected from the Ravenclaws."

Carter nodded as he took some notes. He then looked over to Roxxy to ask the next question.

Getting the signal from her quill partner Roxxy asked the next question on her sheet. "Which team/s do you deem as your biggest rivals or opponents for the Quidditch cup?" Turning to her prachment she scribbled some notes that she had missed before and waited for Nia's answer.

Emily looked up at the girl who sat next to her. "Nice to meet you! I'm Emily." She flashed the "prize-winning, Aldaine smile", as her mother so modestly called it. "Are you a First Year?" she asked.

"Hmm, toughest opposition..." Nia pondered it for a few moments. "Well, you can never underestimate any of your opponents," Nia started. "That's a sure start on the way to failure and loss. So we'll be taking all our opponents very seriously." A smirk flickered across her lips, before turning into a smile.

"However, in the past Hufflepuff have been our closest rivals, and looking at their roster this year I don't see why it'd be any different. And Gryffindor from last year are the team to beat, of course. We want that cup back in Ravenclaw hands." And with that she gave a wink, no offense to them being in other houses, of course.

Carter smiled and nodded. Gryffindor was of course the team to beat. Writing down her responses he looked over his list for the next question.

"So do you have a team motto or something that you keep reminding your players?" he asked.

Ellie walked into the Great Hall, arm still linked with Gold's, and made her way to the Ravenclaw table. Hopefully Gold wouldn't mind being there. And she could leave if she wanted. She's totally understand if she didn't want to hand out with a firstie. She would probably feel the same. Maybe.

She sat down and grabbed a bit of toast and poured some pumpkin juice. She'd start small, then get into the more complex, more scrumptious foods when she'd regained more strength.
