Cela was a little bit alarmed when the mattress disappeared on her own but she went right ahead and took the offered cake. So like, they won?

Celandine considered, head tipped to one side. That meant third overall for Quidditch, right? She smiled about that. Though they totally should have won the first game too. Considering how many points they'd scored.

Ravenclaw was totally awesome.


And soooo was Quidditch cake. NOM.

Taking the item from Nia, he smiles and nods as if nothing had happened, he eyes the others. Slipping it into his robes he heads over to the fire where he normally sat, hoping for privacy.

Looking around facing slightly to the others so he can make sure nobody's watching, or coming near. He pulls the item from his robes and starts doing something with it.

Looking up slightly he checks the group by the food, making sure of the one person who they didn't want knowing wasn't paying attention he completes what he is doing.

Standing up he sticks it back in his robes, and walks over to Ellie. Nudging her slightly, he hands her the item.

Nia happened to be very close to the speaker, and as Becca turned the volume up, it blasted right into her ear. With a jump, wince and now holding her ear, Nia looked at her Keeper.

"Blimey, Becca! You trying to deafen your Captain now the season is done?" she tried to shout over the noise. It probably came out as a flailing mime though, considering how close she was to the speaker. She stepped away from it so she could hear herself think, and in the process ended up on what it seemed Becca had now designated as the dance floor. Er. Hmm. Yeah. Awkward.

And with that, she shimmied out of the way.

Glancing round the Common Room, a smile flickered across her lips as she saw JD slip Exhibit A to Ellie. She loved a plan that worked. And so far so good on this one. Probably as the intended, er, subject was currently occupied with deafening people, cheering up a rather weary looking Head Girl and cake.

Oh yes, cake. Nia needed a top up. And so she headed over to get herself another bit. How about some of the Gryffie stand? YUM!

"Usually," Becca replied smugly. "It's my job." Whatever that meant. To please CaptCapt, the seventh year made a short fuss by wrinkling her nose teasingly at Nia then headed over to the speakers to turn it back down a bit. Her dancing episode kind of ended abruptly anyway, thanks to Cela. No big deal though.

On the way back over to Cela, Becca found her own piece of cake on a nearby table. Wooo! She shoved a bite of her cake into her mouth happily and soon found that the Head Girl was doing the same. "I 'old you it was goo' 'ake." More mouthful!talk, learned from Lainey.

Ellie went brain dead for a second. There was the item. And her cake in her hands... How was she supposed to hold both? It was times like these when being an octopus would be rreeeaallly useful... After a few minutes of disguised panic, she came up with the brilliant idea of finishing her cake, then taking the item. Seems obvious in hindsight...

So, while...ahem...was busy doing...ahem... Ellie also does a little something-something with the item. Then she shuffled her way over to Jacob...who was a little too close for her taste, and pulled him backwards by the robes. When he was back to her satisfaction, she slipped him the item. Baha, she felt so spy-ish. Her eyes found Nia's and gave a small smile.

Then she went back for more cake! and stood back with JD. She didn't know what to say... but.. as far as..ahem..will know, they were in deep conversation over something very, very important. Yup.

As Jacob's cake-anger-issues started to calm... though the cake still covered him, he felt himself being pulled. Why was everyone just trying to tick him off today?! They were so lucky that it was a party, or his beaters bat might have to be thrown in the fire to get rid of the evidence. But they should just watch themselves while they sleep. Not that he was promising anything, it was just a possibility, especially if they tick him off anymore.

Suddenly the person that had just pulled him by the robes handed him something. He had just forgotten exactly what he was supposed to do with it. Come on! think... Jacob quickly hid it under his clothes, cause he remembered it was secret.

Remembering what it was, Jacob ran from the rest of the team (trying not to get any attention drawn to him) up to the balcony, He took it out and just started doing something with it in the corner, out of sight.

Running back down the stairs of the balcony, he quickly handed The Thing to Nia, cause he didn't know who hadn't done it yet.

Grayson had spent most of the time during the Quidditch match holed up in the Room of Requirement working on potions stuff, but at least she'd managed to find out what happened. And even if she hadn't, coming into the common room to find a party in full swing would have told her. She was a Ravenclaw, after all, she was always observant. But once she'd gotten inside, she'd seen that the mattress surfing was still going too and that had distracted her from really taking everything in.

Running back up to the balcony, she looked at the boy in the corner curiously as he fiddled with something she couldn't see, but as he ran back downstairs she shrugged. She had other plans, anyway. And first, she wondered if she could surf a mattress all the way over to the cake. Even if she couldn't, she thought she could make it pretty close. If she timed it right. She already knew she could make it down safely, at least. Dragging a mattress to the slide, she positioned it like before, then jumped on top of it. She hadn't tried it with her sneakers on before, but she figured she could do it. Shifting her weight as she stood on the mattress, she got it started on its way down, then grinned. "Out of the way!!!!!!!," she yelled as it neared the bottom, then started skidding on the floor. She didn't want to crash into anyone, but there were enough groups hanging around she wanted to make sure they knew she was coming. As the mattress slowed, she jumped off and headed for the sugar, ignoring the mattress as it disappeared. The cake was calling her name.

People watching was Vashti's favorite sport. Well. She considered it a sport anyway because it required a certain amount of skill (and talent) to watch the people around you without making it obvious that you were doing so. And Vashti considered herself pretty good at that. So, while munching down on her first, second, and third slices of cake (she was hungry!), she observed a few people mattress surfing (she still needed to try that now that she thought about it) and a few of her teammates doing...something.

Gah! Why wasn't she observant enough to see what they were doing? Sigh. She totally hated being out of the loop and finished off her current piece of cake quickly to prevent herself from frowning. Frowning was unacceptable at such an awesome party, and food always made her happy. So obviously the solution was to continue eating, and she totally wasn't complaining about that.

Nia watched Jacob run upstairs, and before long he was back down and she'd got Exihibit A back again. Now who to pass it on to? She glanced round the room. Aha, Vashti.

"Vashti!" She headed over to the second year, and put an arm round her shoulders. "You look like you totally want some nibbles," Nia said, taking the girl in the direction of the table with the food. With a furtive glance around, she lowered her voice. "Remember this? " she pulled the item from under her Quidditch robes. "Could you do...you know what...and then pass it on to Mina?"

Vashti was just about to head back to the food table herself when Nia came over and led her there. Well, that worked too. So long as she got- Oh hey! So this was what they were doing. She grinned. "Yeah, I can do that," she said with a nod, taking the thing and doing...stuff to it. Yep. That looked good. Now where was Mina? The room was fairly crowded by now, so she wasn't sure where her other teammate was. So she'd call for her.

"MINAAAA!" she called, searching for the older girl and keeping the item hidden.

Good. She took the cake. Ellie would hate to have shoved it in her mouth, then have had her die of some allergy or something. That is ONE thing to NEVER have at a party. Death. Though, those seem to make amazingly~awesome story lines.

"Hey Annabel." she woulda said, 'I like that name'. But that always led to an awkward 'thanks' because it wasn't like people picked their own names...so it's not as much of a compliment to them as it is to the person who named them, right? Except for JD. That was an exception. Cuz he did have a pretty awesome name. At least she thought so. And he should to because...Well...he didn't have to. Never mind.

"I'm Ellie. And I'm a first year, too." But not for much longer! Yay! Then there will be ickle younger firsties that she can pick on! "Welcome to Hogwarts, then. And Ravenclaw! The awesomest house with the most awesome quidditch team ever!" Wooooooooooooooooooo! And she began to dance with her cake, listening to the WWN.

"Hi Ellie! I like the cake!!" She said devouring her piece of cake. " Thanks...you have a nice name too" Annabel said akwardly.
Annabel hoped that she and Ellie would be good friends because she seemed so nice.

She had a nice name- too? What was the 'too'? She shook her head. Sometimes kids can be so confusing. Not that she wasn't one herself. She just thought she'd made perfect sense. She always said exactly what she meant, though. Or she thought she did. Maybe she just thinks too much?

"You should like the cake! It's amazing! And delicious, too. And my next piece- Slythies! They deserve to be eated!" For winning against them. Grrr. She was not about to get over this quickly. Not until she'd beaten them in every match from now until she graduated.

"Have you tried mattress sliding?" It looked like fun.

"No, I havn't tried mattress sliding but yeah, it does look fun!" Annabel said. "I think i will go for a stroll around the school" She said leaving the common room.

Uhm... Okay... Ellie didn't know why anyone would want to leave this amazingly awesome celebration to stroll around the school... But, whatever flew her broomstick...

She went back to put her empty plate down and find JD. "You're awfully quiet.." she said when she'd gotten to him. It was true. He was being scary quiet. Especially for someone who just won their first quidditch match. She would know, this was her first win too and she wasn't being very quiet.. Except for when she was eating.

Mina looked up from her cake and giggled again. Okay, she was on her fourth cake and her sugar levels were well over where they should have been. Hearing her name, she looked around quickly for the source. Craning her head a bit, she smiled. It was Vashti!

Working her way through the crowd, she held her plate and her cake above her head. It was GREAT cake and she didn't want to end up wearing it. Giggling, she stopped in front of the younger 'claw and giggled. "You called?"

'Yeah,of cource...thanks for asking,'Namitha said.'You really are one of the best-est quidditch captains I've ever seen!!!! '.And she really meant it.

'Hi,' Namitha said 'You were awesome!!!!!!!!!!'

'Namitha was so happy to see Chelle.'Chelle!!!!!!!!!!!!How nice to see you!!!!',she said.'Are you alright?,' she asked,obviously concerned for her,as she had fallen down.

WOOOOW, Vashti totally hadn't expected to actually be heard. Well, she kinda did, but not a whole lot. And yet she had been heard, and there was Mina! Whoo! Must be all the sugar from the cake that made her so loud.

"Yes, I did!" she grinned before showing her the uber-secret item. "Nia wants you to...y'know...with this. And then I guess give it back to her and she'll figure out if anyone else needs to...y'know." And in the mean time, Vashti was definitely going to get another piece of that cake. It was just too good to resist. She had no clue how she was going to be able to sleep tonight with all this sugar in her system. Ah well.

Mina giggled and nodded. Ooo, the uber-secret item. taking the item, she nodded. "Will do," she smiled as she hide the item and worked her way back through the crowd. But not before grabbing yet another piece of cake.

Sugar!

Finding a quiet spot, she pulled out the item and glanced around. She now needed to get it back to Nia. Hiding the item again, she turned to her cake and nom nom on it before hopping up. "Capt Capt!" she giggled as she looked to the crowd again. She was on a mission now!

His face lighting up as Ellie came over to him, he smiles at her "I'm alright...just a little sad. Now that the consolation game is over, that means just the championship game to go, and the terms over."

Sighing, looks at her "The year has gone by fast, and so much has happened. It's sad to see the year come to end, that's all."

Cake was STILL in Becca's hand. She was just so, so happy. Cake was her FAVORITE. Luckily, she was one of those kids that everyone hates with that super fast metabolism, otherwise she would be significantly pudgy. It DID help that she played sports whenever she could, but whatever. Her gratitude was towards her metabolism.

Upon putting another forkful of cake in her mouth, Becca caught a part of JD's conversation with Ellie. "'scuse me, Cela," she said and headed over to JD. "Bud, are you SERIOUS? You should be SO PUMPED right now! You're not going to be a pipsqueak of a third year anymore!" She shoved his arm teasingly. "Look at the end of the term as a good thing. You've got so much ahead of you. You're already an all-star Quidditch player right now... and you've got four more terms to continue your win streak. Be EXCITED!

"...And just don't go die again in the first half of the game, okay? No one likes to try to fill your shoes. No one."

Ellie bit her lip. It was kind of sad, was it not? But you can't deny, her first year had been amazingly awesome.

"Just think of it..." she began..then hello Becca.

"Exactly what I was going to say." she..said. "And we can pick on the new firsties together!" Now that she won't be one. "Aaaand, we have a new chance at the cup! And after this amazingly awesome game, and the practice we'll get over the summer, we'll totally rock those games!" And totally win and beat those Slythie butts...tails?..back ends.

Hmm..."Oh, yeah, that's very important. Don't die." she said with a nod. "Need more cake?" Her plate was beginning to run low again...

Giggling at both of the girls who were trying to cheer him up. "I know, I know it's awesome we won." he replies with a grin. "And I can't wait to beat those guys again next year."

Remembering his dad last summer, he's dreading this summers fight with him "It's just I worry about the things my dad will pull this summer, trying to prevent me from leaving for Hogwarts next fall. It's one reason I hate to see the term ending...I dread it."

"Dying?" Laughing as he realizes what Becca meant by that. "Well, I certainly can't do that one again, since you won't be there, to save us from it." Grinning at her devilishly. "I guess the team will need me alive for that."

Ch-yeah! They'll beat 'em to the ground! And the Slythie's too!

"You won't die." she said simply. It was true. Most likely...err.... Nah. No one would let him die. People didn't just die like that. It didn't happen. Especially young boys who had a lot of people caring about him and looking after him.

Ellie furrowed her brow and bit her lip and cocked her head at him. Stop him from coming to Hogwarts? Why would he do that? That was just silly.

"Yeppers!" Nia said, trying to find the source of that voice. It sounded like Mina, but she wasn't sure over the WWN. She moved through the crowd, holding her plate of the cake in the air so it wouldn't get messed with. She wasn't going to go wasting good cake. Or end up with it as a face mask like Jacob.

Finally spotting her teamie, Nia smiled. "You wanted me?" she asked, with an inquisitive raised eyebrow.
