Rae had been quite for the WHOLEE class. She wasn't much for Muggle studies and getting in trouble for not caring was pretty ridiculous, so Rae always kept her mouth shut in this class. Often went unnoticed, like how Rae used to be. Unnoticed. Did ANYONE think this was actually a useful subject?

That was all Gold had to say?

"Hi." Xylon said. "Fire," he added. Even though that nickname didn't get an angry reaction out of her anymore, he knew it still annoyed her. Might as well annoy her right?


It couldn't have been clearer that Xylon was a little bored right now. He picked up a quill, dipped it in ink and jotted down a message on it in neat slightly slanting handwriting.

Then he folded it into a paper airplane and slipped it to Rae.

We can pass notes in class. Isn't that fun?

Rae saw paper flying at her.... WHAAAAT??? She grabbed it in the air before it hit her and opened it... Heh. Rae rolled her eyes but smiled after at him. Then she picked up her quill and started writing.



Rae folded it up and flew it back over. Though she said she didn't care about trouble, she hoped she wouldn't get the same lecture thing twice.

The sugar had finally worn off and now Arya was just lying on her bean bag lazily listening to what was goin on. The topic wasn't as interesting as it was when she was on a sugar high, and it was kind of sad to not have any more candy. So while she listened to the professor, she mentally debated whether she wanted more candy after class or ice cream.

Xylon snagged the airplane right out of midair. Unfolding it, he somewhat wondered what might be written inside. When he did read the message, he could not help but lift an eyebrow. When had Rae started caring about getting in trouble?

Scribbling down a response, he flicked his wand, causing the paper airplane to zoom back to her and land in her lap.

Rae received the airplane and read it.. Supposed to be fun? had he been in some other class this whole time? The lake? Something he wants to tell her? Rae's interest was now sparked. Hoping to find out more she wrote back

Aww. She wanted to know right now. Well if he had wanted to tell her in class there wouldn't have been a point in asking her if she wanted to meet him at the lake after classes, would there?

Having written down a response, he slipped the airplane!note back to her.

Slipping quietly back into the classroom, Marcus had placed himself under a disillusionment charm so that he could see how the class was going without him being there.

He lent against the wall while he watched on and he had to admit that he was rather impressed that the room was still in tact and that people were participating in the discussions.

Except for the two passing notes that is. Marcus decided to let it slide for now, it was the end of term after all.

Rae opened her airplane. SMIRK... Something that she realized she had been picking up from him. Hesitating before writing her next reply. It's not like she needed to know everything right now!



Rae aimed the airplane at him and FIRRREEED! Though it might have been at his head. Accident.

Xylon raised an eyebrow as the paper airplane made contact with his head. Eh. In all fairness, the paper plane wasn't heavy which meant that it didn't actually hurt him. But it had a bit of a pointy end and well, this was his head they were talking about.

Diigy raised his hand, "Do you just want us to go after you get finished?" he asked Fallon since she seemed to be the one teaching for the moment. He wasn't sure where he was in the order of things, but the class was winding down and he wanted to talk as well.

Woops. Didn't mean to hit the head..... But it was paper, it couldn't hurt right? Rae saw his reaction and thought that he couldn't seriously be thinking
'OW.' As the airplane flew back in her lap she unfolded it and read the note... Figures, she knew he wouldn't really tell her.



After writing that she folded it back up and gave it over.

Rae and Xylon seemed to be lost in a little world of their own. Gold was glad of that because, you know, otherwise Xylon would have been trying to bite her head off, with his oh-I-am-so-cool-and-superior looks, and those signature, reserved-for-her smirks of his.

Really.

"I think you should, Diggy," she said, when Diggy spoke up. She was kind of still in charge, right? "I don't think there's much time left before class comes to a close, so go up whenever Fallon's done." Or before. Whenever he felt like it, if that made sense.

It looked like Fallon was finished so Diggy stood up and walked to the front of the classroom and looked out at everyone. Gold was smiling and that gave him a bit of courage to talk in front of his peers. "Um ok. Well I like comic books and my favorite comic book super hero is Iron Man." He cleared his throat once and launched into his speech. "Iron Man is a fictional superhero who appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Iron Man first debuted in Tales of Suspense #39 (March 1963), and was created by writer-editor Stan Lee. Stan Lee created the entire Marvel Universe with all its other super heroes." He nodded once to make sure everyone got that.

She had been mostly leaning against the seat next to Marie and Destiny, staring into space and letting the words people were saying go through one ear and right out the other. Until, Rae and her Gryffie started tossing notes to one another. That definitely get her attention.

Hearing the words 'super hero' and 'iron man' being said though, the Slytherin's black eyes traveled over to the new speaker, trying to keep up with what was being said but...that was definitely a losing battle. She was supposed to be speaking soon wasn't she... and now, she didn't even feel like it. Well actually, she was probably one of the last people to be speaking but, whatever.

Did they have any questions?...

...wait, he was done speaking? What did he talk about again? Iron hero or something...

Whoa. Whoa. WHOA.

"That's a lot of information," Gold laughed, hand in the air out of habit, as she spoke. "I know my question might sound a bit irrelevant, but it's genuine interest in the topic, Professor - why did 'Iron Man' switch his name to this, to Iron Man I mean? Edward Stark sounds like a niiice name." Yes, she had left out the first name on purpose. Because it was a common one, and Gold figured a superhero wouldn't want a common name.

She remembered, as she lowered her hand, how much Dylan liked Iron Man. There was suddenly a lump in her throat.
