"Hey, Jadyn." She smiled at the child before swinging her bag off her shoulder and taking a seat beside the two. "Well," Digging through her bag, she pulled out her arithmancy book, notes and quill. "I need to find one of your core numbers, either the Personality or Heart’s Desire. You chose." Sure there was two more, but she prefered the ones that didn't require your birthday. Less numbers for her the better.

Errrr..

Well, he knew his personality. Bland, sometimes mean, and sulky. Heart's desire? That sounded scary. Buttt...

"Uhmm...Heart's Desire...I guess?" He didn't need some twelve year old telling HIM about his personality.

"Okie doke," Skimming through the page, she quickly read what she needed for his Heart's Desire number. "I need your full name...from your birth certificate."

She dipped her quill in ink and readied herself for some writing.

Constantine quickly adjusted Jadyn in his lap. "Errr...Constantine Menes Masterson."

The little puff scribbled down the Groundskeeper's name and went to work on figuring out his Heart's Desire number. She lightly chewed on her lip as her eyes flickered between her work and the book, scratching out a few numbers and replacing them with new ones. It wasn't as hard as the first few times she worked on the core numbers, but still a little difficult for her. After a long moment she finally finished the man's number.

"Done!" She announced cheerfully. Flipping through the book again, she turned to the page that held the interpretation. "Your number is 7, which means...." Arya stalled as she quickly skimmed through the text, her brow creasing in slight confusion. Emotional hermit? Had she done something wrong? That just couldn't fit her Head of House....could it? Hmm.

Arya checked her work again and found nothing wrong with her calculations. Well, she for one wasn't gonna believe the interpretation. She didn't truely believe any of them. About to pass the book to Masterson, she decided against it seeing how he was holding his daughter and just read the interpretation to him instead.



Averting her eyes to his daughter, she chewed her lip thoughtfully. "I wouldn't think much of it Mr. Masterson.....its just an interpretation. They're not alway correct." Atleast she didn't think so. "You could be an outgoing person, who enjoys the company of others or else you wouldn't even be the Groundskeeper or my Head of House."...Or at Hogwarts. Cause this castle had never heard the words silence, and peace. Ever.

"And you have a cute daughter and wife who love you. Everyone here loves you, and hermits don't get that kind love so it can't be true." She wasn't positive on everyone loving him, but she'd never heard anything negative on the man so one could assume.

He blinked a couple times as she read out the result. Truly, these dang arithmancy numbers stuff was creepy.

He then chuckled as she told him to think nothing of it. "Dear child, you wouldn't believe how true that interpretation is. I do prefer solitude and silence. Why do you think I'm a groundskeeper and not a professor? I don't think I could stand sitting in an office answering questions all day long. I've never been outgoing. Just a do what I have to do kind of person." He tickled Jadyn's stomach, smiling as she giggled and wiggled.

Best with another seven, hmm? "Would you care to do one more name? Don't worry about handing it in, I'll give you extra points for it."

Arya shrugged her shoulders lightly, a small smile playing on her lips. "I thought it was cause you didn't wanna do all that paperwork, and that you liked being outdoors." Really, who didn't like living outdoors? To her his hut was like a clubhouse for grown ups. Which was awesome, she already had plans to have her own when she grew up.

She watched Jadyn giggling as her smile turned to a grin, she was cute. Reminded her of her little sister. More points? Sweetness. "Don't mind at all, who's name do ya want me to do?" Arya gave Jadyn a quick tickle with her free hand, having an inkling of who the person was.

Jadyn giggled again and wiggled her feet as the girl tickled them. Constantine watched in amusement, taking a moment to smooth out Jadyn's hair. It was getting amazingly long. In fact, he didn't think he'd ever seen it this long.

"I want you to do my wife's number. You said birth certificate, right? So, then it would be Madison Elizabeth Myers."

Arya giggled along with Jadyn as she tickled her before returning her attention to the task at hand. Nodding her head, she wrote down his wife's name and flipped back to her previous page. It hadn't taken her as long as it had taken her with his name, and all this practicing was helping her get better at arithmancy. Atleast with the core numbers.

When finished, she turned back to the page that held the interpretations. Hmm. His wife's number was the complete opposite of his own it seem, oppisited did attract though. Arya read aloud Mrs. Masterson's Heart's Desire to her Head of House, glancing up at him with a curious expression when finished.



"Does it sound correct, Mr. Masterson?" Arya fiddled with the edge of her page, her eyes flickering to Jadyn for a brief moment. "And if it is...does that mean that she introduced herself to you or did you go up to her?" She questioned with innocent curiousity.

Hmmm, yeahhh, that kinda sounded like it fit Madison. Heheh. She definitely did not like taking orders.

"Uhhhmmm," he paused a moment to chuckle. "Welll...not quite. She sort of stole one of my books on her first day at school. Then, when she returned it to me, I may have given her a really dirty look. Then, from then on it became a point of us playing hide and seek when we saw one another in the hallway. I believe she was the one to eventually speak to me, though. I was never one for initiating anything."

Kay walked up to her head of house's hut. She wondered if she should bother him. Putting her hand out to knock she stopped. Maybe this wasn't a good idea. Paceing back and forth she tried to make up her mind. What would she say? How do you talk about things like this with someone you really don't know. Turning and looking at the door Kay knock. Wait to see if he would answer, she started to panic. No she couldn't do this. *Crap running would be good here.* she thought.

Listening to his story, the preteen became slightly distracted by the thoughts of hide and seek. She loved hide and seek. Played it with a few students last term. They were gonna have to play that again. "That's sweet," Weird, but still sweet in its own little way. "Were you both in the same house?" Cause that would have made the game a lot more difficult if they had to share the same common room. Waiting for a response, she started packing up her book and notes.

He chuckled and shook his head. "Nah. I was a Ravenclaw and she was a Hufflepuff. She became my best friend...and then my wife," he smiled, hugging Jadyn close. "Oh, 3 points to Hufflepuff, for the extra calculating."

"Your a Ravenclaw?" She said with a grin, obviously amused by this fact. She supposed he made up for that fact by being best friends with and married to a Hufflepuff. How could he not be? Puffs are awesome. "I like your wife. She sounds nice. Maybe I'll get to meet her one day." Grinning, she slung her bag over her shoulder.

The lake...it was calling her. Again.

"Thank you for the help, Mr. Masterson. And the extra points." Arya gave Jadyn more tickles before standing. "Bye Jadyn, see ya later Mr. Masterson." Turning the little Puff skipped off towards the lake.

He nodded his head. "Yeah, maybe you will one day. She is nice," he eyed. "Nicer than me, in fact," he grinned. "Have a good day, Miss Lovegoods," he waved to her while Jadyn uttered a Bye-bye and giving one last giggle.


"Hello, Miss Evans," he greeted, eyeing the next student waiting for his attention. "How may I help you?"

Turning she saw that he had opened the door. *Darn. Now what was she going to do.* Looking down at herself she realized that she still hadn'r changed out of her Quidditch uniform. "Oh, Sir. ummm...Why do boys stink?" She asked really fast.

That was a good start. *Crap Potter he was a guy.* She thought not really want to stay now. He wouldn't want to talk to her now. She had just said guys stink. "Sorry, Sir. I just need to talk to someone." She said feeling the tears coming into her eyes.

Constantine paused for a moment after Kay asked why boys stank. He decided at that moment that maybe this wasn't the best conversation for Jadyn to be around, so he let her go and she ran right over to Roma and pounced.

"Stink? Are we speaking personal hygiene or just relative lameness?" Eh, he was a male; he figured he had the right to degrade his own gender. Heavens knew that they deserved it.

"If it's hygiene, then...well, that would be on the account of just plain stupidity. If it's lameness, then I do believe that we can attribute it to the fact that the male ego is larger than their brain. Its not a scientific fact, but I believe it would make for a damn good theory."

He raised an eyebrow and surveyed the little Puff carefully. "What's on your mind?"

Personal Hygiene? Oh, god she looked like something the cat had bragged in. Still in her Quidditch stuff. Did she smell? "Oh, Ummm....Relative Lameness. Sir." Boy this wasnt going the way she had wanted.

Kay giggled when Masterson said the male ego was larger than their brains. "Can I pleaase talk to you about my stupid boyfriend." She asked and then thought that still sounded bad. She was never going to get this right being as mad has she was. "This really isnt coming out right. I just am so mad about what happened." She said looking at her feet. "Sir why do boys get so mad if you talk to another boy, but I can't be mad when he talks to other girls?"

"Boyfriend?" Masterson raised a questioning eyebrow. "If I may say so, boyfriend wasn't the word I heard used to describe him."

Ahaha, she was asking HIM why men did that? Him? Constantine Masterson, supreme utilizer of bluntness. "I don't know, but it could very well do with the fact that some men can be slightly too possessive. That or he's the biggest hypocrite on the face of the earth."

"Also could be due to the fact that you're young and stupid and haven't a clue what being in love is actually like. It took me 36 years to understand." Oh man, he just totally dated himself. "You're thirteen. What's the rush?"

Heard? What had he Heard? "What do you mean,sir? Rex is my boyfriend. Or he was up to the end of the Quidditch match." Kay said worrying about what he could have heard about them. They hadn't done anything! Well A kiss here and there.

Possessive? Yes Rex could be that at times. Hypocrite? Maybe. "Sir, Rex does get overly possessive at times. But isn't that a good thing? I mean doesn't that show he likes me?" She asked wondering if it was not good. "I mean he always makes sure I get what I need and looks out for me so I don't get hurt." She said think it soulded like she was talking about her father. *Eeekkk* she thought. "As to the other, Yes I think sometimes he is a hypocrite. "He talks to every girl he can see. But when I talk to a boy. Like Oliver or Kevin. He gets mad at me." She said wondering if any of this made scene. "Oh I'm 14 sir." Not that that mattered. who cared how old you are.

Cue eyebrow raise. "Only a boyfriend? An itty bitty birdie told me that you guys were actually, in fact, engaged."

He sighed as she actually ask if possessiveness was a good thing. "Dear child," he shook his head, "you don't need to be possessive in order to love someone. Especially overly possessive because it then falls into the category of 'controlling'."

OH how did he know that? Engaged. Yes well they were she guessed. "Engaged? Oh I umm Yes I guess you could say that. But not any more." Kay said looking down at the floor. How did he know? "Controlling? But he just wants to make sure that I'm ok. He...Just..." She didn't know what to say. Was Rex being controlling? Was he telling her what to do. "Sir, I...I think I'm a little unsure of what I was doing or had with Rex." She said sadly. "But I dont have anyone else."

Constantine raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean, you don't have anyone else? What about friends? I mean...obviously SOMEONE cares for you enough to tell me about this. And to ask me to speak to you."

What? Someone told him to talk to her. Who? She didn't really have that many friends. Well the Hufflepuff team but that was it. "Who Sir? Who would have done that. I dont have that many friends and well...Who?" Kay asked again. She didn't understand how anyone would know to tell him. "And No sir I don't have anyone else. My parents are dead and I only have my cousin. He travels alot and I don't see him much." She said. yep that was it no one. just her team and they weren't really that close.

Constantine gave a sort of half shrug, as if saying that WHO had told him really wasn't that important. "Well, obviously there is someone looking out for you."
