Isabella smiled at her two new friends, Ella and Mel.

"If you dont mind i'll call you Mel" She said smiling at her new friend. She looked around the compartment, thinking what she could have for her lunch.

"Im in my fourth year, Ravenclaw" She said looking at them both again, smiling.

"Really?" Ella said, widening her eyes a little, "I thought you were in your fifth or sixth. How've your years been here so far?" she asked.

"Thank you. I appreciate that." She smiled at the girl.
"It's good to find someone to talk to. it's weird, coming here, not knowing anyone and making friends all over again. But I like it. I hope we can all be friends, even though we might end up in different houses." She smiled at the girls. Finally she found someone to bond with!

She smiled at the girl's surprise. It was kinda new to her that people were surprised she was only 14.

"Its been the best so far. Well were just about to start a new year. I bet its going to be as eventful as the last" She said remembering all the drama she had missed the year before.

"What about you?"

"It's been a couple hectic years for me too. Are you trying out for Quidditch?" Ella asked.

"Ohh." she said in a sort of 'I get it now' tone. "I see. It must be rather nice there then." Nodding to herself slightly, she looked out the window for a moment, trying to figure out where they were at the moment. Hmm, no such luck though. She didn't really know this area very well.

Oh well. Turning back to everyone else, she checked to make sure her kitten was alright before looking back over to Ellie. "Do you know anyone else? On the train I mean." She wasn't trying to get rid of the girl, she was just curious is all.

That was...slightly gross and Evelyn could've gone the rest of her life without knowing what his owl ate. Nodding slowly, not really sure how to answer to that though, she instead listened to what his summer was like. Seemed good, until the part about the broken leg. How did that happen anyway? What did that auror guy say? He was playing some muggle game. "My summer was great." she said smiling, though keeping her tone a little less excited than when she normally spoke about her summer.

"Of course, you know I went traveling with my uncle. The first few weeks were, interesting..." If you called living with muggles, business deals, and running for your life from a dangerous invisible creature interesting. "...But then we started to go to other places like Romania and the Hebrides Islands to see the dragons there." Seriously one of the best summers she ever had! "And I learned to cook somewhat!"

Laughing, she made herself comfortable again, since the 'Danger danger, someone is in personal space' alarm was going off in her head, and she couldn't ignore it anymore. Ugh, she thought that was finally getting under control too. "Oh, Lawson doesn't hate you." Or maybe he did. "Just, I don't know, hug Mr. Stutters in front of him. You'll probably be his favorite person in the world then." Hehe. Easier said to do than done though.

She agreed, Nodding she smiled, "I agree the years have been hectic. But what is a school without hectic!" She chuckled.

Looking around again she said, "No, Quidditch really isnt me. I might, but not really planning to. You?"

Jen smiled warmly at her. "Yeah, of course we can all be friends." She said sweetly. "Even if we don't make it into the same houses we can still see each other in class and around the school. I bet we can find time to hang out." Jen thought it was a lot of fun, having girls to talk to. She didn't know many other people here, but she was making progress.

Ella nodded and agreed. "Never had a normal year here yet," she laughed. "I never really thought I'd like Quidditch, but I tried out and I got on in my first year as a Beater. Last year I tried out but I was pretty disturbed by a breakup to keep my head in the game," she rolled her eyes.

"Nice to meet you too Ella!" Melissa exclaimed happily. "Oh cool. Seven years so when you came to Hogwarts he wasn't here? Yeah I find that odd too. That must of been shocking right? Cool thanks." She smiled at her.

"No that's find I really don't mind Isabella," Mel smiled at her. This year was going to be very eventful and fun.

"Ravenclaw, I'm in Hufflepuff, I hardly see any as well," she spoke sadly but shrugged it off.

She smiled "I wonder what this year will hold for us as a school" She smiled, going into her own thoughts to think.

Coming back a few minutes again she smiled, "Im really glad you got it, well done!" She hugged her friend, but frowning after hearing about a break-up "There hard, i know, ive been through on in the past. But us girls have to hold our heads high and move on." She smiled sweetly.

Eloise wandered past all the loaded compartments, in search of one that wasnt empty, but not completely loaded. Finally spying one with a fairly looking decent person on the inside, who looked a little older than herself, she quietly opened the glass door and smiled up at him. "Do you mind if I stay here with you? There are no other compartments." Kay that might not have been fully true, but whats a little white lie going to do?

Carter through his stuff aside and set his owl in a chair before sitting next to Marie. He gave her a huge hug. "How are you? I haven't heard from you in a few weeks." he said.

Ella smiled. Melissa seemed like a pretty cheery person. Happy people were fun people. So far, so good.

"Thank you!" she grinned toward Isabella. She felt proud of her Beater status in her first year. Then she hugged her back. Even though she just met her, hugs were always fine. Ella liked them. "Yup, gotta learn to move on." she said softly.

Bella smiled at her new found friend, she was already looking forward to this year.

"Oh A Hufflepuff. Well i hope we get to see much of each other during the year" She smiled and hugged her friend.

"Your welcome Ella" Bella smiled and looked through her bag, pulling out some chocolate frogs. She smiled as she handed the out between the three of them.

"Here's a Chocolate frog each" She said smiling.

"Ella, us girls have to stick together"

"Yeah beater is pretty good and getting it in your first year! That's wicked!" Melissa grinned at Ella. "Yeah you've got too, I'm sure you will find a perfect guy," she reassured her. She had never really had a boyfriend before Kai because she felt just too young for it so she never experienced a break up, but she had saw one.

"Yeah, but I'm sure we will!" Mel hugged her back. She looked shocked when Bella said a chocolate frog.

"Chocolate frog? What's that?" she spoke looking at the blue package in her hands.

"Too right!" Mel added.

"yeah. I hope we'll still have classes together!" She looked out of the train window.
"Do you know when we arrive at Hogwart's?"

Esilna decided to name her barn owl Pearheart because of her white feathers (even though she had brown ones too) and heart shaped face. Of course, know one except her and her owl would know that she was named Pearlheart. Everyone else would be told her name was Pearl, just like they would not know that her dog's name was really Snowspirit, not Snowy.

Marie hugged Carter back, it felt really good to be in his arms again. She could instantly feel the anger she was feeling towards Evan go away. "I'm better... now that you're here." Being with Carter always made her feel better. "Yeah, sorry about not writing. My parents came home and things were really busy with them. I thought about you every day though." she said. "So how was your last few weeks of summer? Do anything fun?"

He had seen him. There was no mistaking it.

With a mischevious grin that betrayed his deeper state of emotional welfare, Sabel made his way to the room that Kellen had disappeared into. His grin only grew as he saw Kate poke her head into the same compartment. Who knew? Maybe they would have another earplug war this time around. Though he supposed they needed a Chaucer for that.

But first things first. Sneaky sneaky...A soon as he was up behind Kate, he stuck his head under her arm and gave a very loud and quite accurate moose call to the boy inside. With a victorious grin to follow.

Stella couldn't stand this any more. She was bored,and she couldn't stop staring at the firsties which were sitting a compartment next to her chatting. Those things never stop talking!!! She took all her stuff walked over to the compartment next to her's. "Hey, can I join you," she said opening the door to the compartment.

Santi had been peeking into each compartment as he passed though none so far had appealed to him enough to enter. Most were full and thoses that weren't appeared to be occupied by the younger years. Had he really been that short just a few years back?

When he began down the middle car, he was caught by a curious sound. A moose cry? In Britain. That was something he had to investigate. Closing in, he found that the sound had likely orignated from a boy whose was poking his head by a girl into a compartment. "Having fun are we?" Santi spoke to their backs.

"I hope so, i didn't hang round with many people last year. Mostly on my own" She said sadly, biting into her frog.

She giggled, "Sorry Mel, forgot your a muggleborn. It's easy to think your just like us" She smiled friendly, "Its a chocolate, shaped as a frog. But you get collectible cards with them" She took another bite of her's

"And dont be alarmed if you get a alive one" She added, smiling.

Isabella smiled at her friends, thinking what they could talk about, she looked out the window as she thought.

Aha! Just as he thought.

Christopher James had barely found himself an empty random compartment and gotten himself situated when some equally random person had taken it upon himself to enter his personal space...in this case that being his compartment.

Resisting the urge to let out a huge breath in resignation, he mustered up the best semblance of manners that he could and nodded to the other guy. The was enough wasn't it? A nod of approval saying he was fine with sharing the compartment.

But no, the guy had to speak and wreck whatever regulations of the guy code that had existed in that moment. And with not just any speech either...with a comment on his eagle?

He'd already given the guy the nod so he couldn't really just say 'Get out you dimwit' now could he. It was a train, and people could sit where ever they wanted. Instead he took another approach. One he would probably later regret but for now, after the weeks he'd had- Well, it was a miracle he hadn't said just that.

Making his face one of surprise, he scrutinized the bird on his shoulder.

" Darn that man!" He gave his knee an exaggerated slap for good measure. "He swindled me out of many a galleon..." Shaking his head in mock disbelief, he continued. "Silly me, I though it was a falcon."Looking the guy dead in the eye, he made sure to stress the last word.

Etoile looked up to see a girl standing in the doorway, definitely an older student. Finding courage somewhere inside she finally blurted out "Yes, yes! of course!" She took her owl cage and lifted it from the empty seat next to her and put it up with her trunk.
"She then turned to the girl and stuck out her hand.
"Hi, I'm Etoile. Nice to meet you."
