Seriously hoping it was Destiny or anyone else she knew knocking on the door, Evelyn smiled widely and turned to see who it was, expecting either her brown or blond haired friend...when she was surprised again.
WHO...in the world was THIS?! Staring at the new, and YOUNG girl that was oh so obviously starting her first year at Hogwarts, Evelyn blinked a few times and cleared her throat, quickly glancing at Kylie. Eh. "Sure. I guess." she said politely with a small smile before scooting down the seat so there was room for the new person. "What's your name?" So she could remember it.

"Of course you can." She waited as Evelyn asked the girl what her name was...
The corner of Victoria's mouth twitched slightly towards a smirk as one of them blinked and cleared her throat, but sat silently. Her eyes roved to the Hufflepuff, who seemed to not want her there. But the other girl had spoken to her, and her attention flicked back. "Victoria Wist," she replied, as politely as possible, barely managing another smile. "What's yours?" she asked, glancing at both of them in order to include the Hufflepuff in her question. But her eyes had landed on the kitten again. "Cute cat. Is it yours?" she asked the girl who was holding it. A slight genuine interest had seeped into her voice; it was impossible to seem aloof when talking about such an animal. They were a bit of a weakness for the first year, though she hadn't brought along an animal of her own that year.

Kylie smiled. She hated how first years thought they were so great. Kylie could kill this chick, she really could. She was by far one of the best witches in the school, not that anyone had to know. She was a closet-genius. But still a genius.
Kylie reminded herself that the girl was young, she'd learn. She also reminded herself that she was once in the girls place.
...Except SHE hadn't acted like that. And SHE'D already been really good with a wand.
"Kylie Matthews." She adjusted the un-named cat so she could shake the girls hand.
"And no, she's not mine. She's Evelyn's."
Kylie was really having issues being nice. How strange. She was usually a total charmer.

Victoria Wrist. She would be remembering this name, and the face that went along with it. No one just came in and barged into their group. They had to be invited and if they could follow their ways, than they could stay. For now, the girl was smart for being polite. Or as polite as she could be at the moment.
"Evelyn Flores." she said with another smile, though her tone was more in a monotone than anything, indicating she was anything but happy at the moment. She was not happy, because the girl mistook HER cat for being Kylie's. Pssh! Yes, Evelyn was protective of her things. And her cat was hers. However, she wasn't about to take away the cute little thing from Kylie since she looked happy at the moment. Her purrs were even adorable!
"So...Victoria." she started, grimacing as Kylie held her hand out to shake the girl's, "How much do you know so far?" Or in other words, did she have any knowledge of magic whatsoever? Was she a pureblood? Did she have tutors teaching her like Evelyn had? Which would mean that she was ahead of others, something that Evelyn took seriously. Or...had she gone to a muggle school. Bleh.
She would tell Kylie about her summer later. Perhaps at the feast. For now, it was time to investigate this girl.
"Damn luggage," Tyler whispered as he dragged his large trunk into a compartment. Luce was following behind him, but Ty couldn't lift the trunk to set it aside, so he just left in the middle of the compartment. Only reason this thing was full because Tyler and Lucy came straight from California to Diagon Alley to get on the train. So there were plenty of extra clothes in there. "Do you want me to put your stuff above us?"

Only reason this thing was full because Tyler and Lucy came straight from California to Diagon Alley to get on the train. So there were plenty of extra clothes in there. Lucy was soooo happy right now. They had just gotten back from California and she had this gorgeous tan, AND she had learned to swim. Plus, she had spent a whole week with Tyler, just the two of them having tons of fun together. Which included tons of shopping, and now she wondered if perhaps she had gotten too many clothes. Which Ty paid for.
"Uhh, I don't really care, just as long as no one tries to steal my stuff," She said, trying her hand at the luggage. She couldn't even budge it. Dang it. "Do you think I got too many clothes?" She asked Ty softly. But they were sooo pretty!
Victoria shook Kylie's hand. "Pleasure to meet you, Kylie. And you, Evelyn," she added as the Slytherin mentioned her name. She glanced once more at the cat. "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to mistake the owner," she apologized to Evelyn, though it was hard making it seem genuine. But, even with the apology, she could tell this girl wasn't happy. Interesting, she thought to herself. She'd been expecting maybe a couple of happy, bubbly girls that would annoy her to no end. But no, neither of them seemed to welcome Victoria's prescence very much.
At least they weren't ignoring her. That made that much more interesting. "Oh, I've been learning some things for the past year or so. My father's had me studying a few third year level books," she said in response to Evelyn's question.

"Move, move, MOVE!" Destiny pushed and shoved her way down the aisle of the train, purposely running over people's toes with the trunk that was being dragged behind her. Why were they so many people, and why weren't they moving!?
Didn't they see she was struggling with the big ball of fluff known as Sly under her arm? When did he get so big, Destiny did not know. But here he was, lazily hanging under her arm and occasionally swatting at people as they passed. "Use your claws, Sly. That's what they are there for."
And where were her friends? They were not at the back or front of the train, and she doubted they were at the food trolley, but Destiny would check if she really had too. She pressed her face against every compartment door she had passed, yet there were no signs of Evelyn or Marie! They were both going back to Hogwarts after what had happened, right? There was no way Destiny would stay if her friends weren't there. Slightly mad that her friends hadn't told her of their decisions, she was going to sit in an empty compartment ALL ALONE, until she passed a compartment with a few people in it already. Hmm.
Realizing Evelyn WAS coming back to Hogwarts, cause she was right there, Destiny pulled her trunk into the compartment ignoring the others that were there. The one did look somewhat familiar and the other was rather little, but they weren't important right now. "Ahem!" she cleared her throat to make her presence known, "Evelyn! Have I got something to tell YOU!"

Chuckling, Ty picked up Lucy's luggage and set it on the seats that were empty. Well duhh, they were the only ones in the compartment right now. "Well, you are eventually going to out grow your old clothes, so just say it's preperation. That way you won't feel bad about having 'too much clothes'," Ty said, as he tried to set his luggage on the thingy above. But the trunk wouldn't just go in.
Ty kept trying, until his hand slipped and went over the lock, hence opening the trunk and making all his things off onto him. "Ugh...," Ty groaned from the ground, covered in his things and with his trunk on top of him.

Ellie walked towards the middle compartments and found one with some people who looked a little older, and some around her age. She walked in, with her usual air of confidence and friendly smile.
"Hi, my name is Ellie. Do you mind if I join you?" she said politely. Always polite. People liked polite.

Didn't he know how sensitive girls were about this kind of stuff? Was she really gonna gain weight? Well, she HAD indulged over the summer. Oh great, now she would have to be on a diet until she lost like 20 pounds. And that meant NO CANDY! Nuuuuuuuu!!!
As the trunk opened and his things fell out, she groaned and then went over to him up. Extending her hand, she picked some of his stuff from his face so she could see him, and then threw it back in the trunk. "Oh, just leave it here," She said, talking about the trunk. It was much too trouble to put it away.

However, Evelyn raised a brow at what the girl said next. She hadn't really been expecting the girl to say that, but more along the lines of, well not studying at all. That alone just up'd the respect points for this girl. "Third year level." she repeated, nodding slowly and checking on her little kitten every now and then. Yup, still happy. Good. "Can you do anything yet?"
And that alone would tell her partly of what kind of family this girl had. Usually people underage couldn't do magic at home.

Normally, Evelyn would have hated having her compartment door open, but right now she didn't really care. Right now, it had it's uses. Like the fact that she heard a very impatient, and very familiar voice which made her smile grow tremendously. Everyone was almost here.
And for the THIRD time in under an hour, she was surprised. Not by the loud tone of her friend's voice, or that she had important news to tell her, but by the thing she was carrying. "Is that...Sly?" she asked, glancing over at her own little kitten in Kylie's arms. Uh oh. Her little eyes were not blue anymore...but black.
"Kylie, I suggest you put her down." Because she had claws, and she knew how to use them!

Meh. Was there a sign outside this compartment that said 'Open Compartment' or something? Obviously this was another firstie who didn't know who they were. But then again, now that she was thinking about it, this was another firstie...who didn't know who they were! Mwaha! Fresh minds, and fresh victims.

She had a sense this girl was playing with them, she didn't like it.

GOOD GRAVY. ANOTHER ONE?! Kylie was never impatient like this, but frankly she was just sick of all these people. She snuggled the cat into her face to ignore the scene for a bit and calm down. After taking a breath, she said "Why not?" and motioned the girl inside.
She saw the cat's eyes change colors and heeded Evelyn's warning. She gently set her down on the compartment floor in front of her.

"Noooo. I'm saying you going to get taller," Ty defended himself. Sheesh, girls were so sensitive about their bodies. "Never meant you were going to get fat," he added and took Lucy's hand to help him up. Tyler just kicked everything back into his trunk and say laid on the cover of it. Yawning, Ty crossed his legs and stared at the ceiling.
"Did you enjoy yourself in Cali?"

When she was spoken to, Ellie had an odd feeling that she might regret this decision. But she thought she could always use the 'food trolley' excuse if she didn't want to stay. She was friendly, she could always make friends elsewhere. So she walked in and took a seat.
"Thanks. It's nice to meet you." she said cautiously. Hopefully her thoughts didn't show in her face or voice.
Victoria shrugged lightly at Evelyn's question. She was attempting not to come off too arrogant; that might make the Hufflepuff show even more dislike. She wasn't prepared to get thrown out just yet. "Well, the basic spells, of course. Like levitating and reparing things. Then I've learned how to summon things, among others." Her parents had pretty much demanded she be ahead by at least a few years before she attended Hogwarts, and ahead she was. Though she figured it best not to boast. She really didn't have much time to continue, as another girl had entered, adressing Evelyn quite loudly.
Victoria stayed silent as the three third years began speaking with each other, her attention immediatly directed to yet another newcomer. This one appeared the same age. How wonderful, the girl thought. "Hello, Ellie," she greeted the first year, though didn't bother even with an attempted smile.

Lucy narrowed her eyes at him, trying to figure out if he really meant it or not. "Taller, eh?" She repeated, and shrugged her shoulders. But she still thought she was getting fat, so she was probably gonna have to start dieting. Meh.
Joining him, she grinned as he asked about Cali. "Oh yesss," She said, kissing his cheek. "I had TONS of fun. Thank you for taking me," She added. And she learned to swim!! Definitely a plus.

Leaving her trunk in front of the compartment door, which would hopefully stop anymore intruders people to enter, she hoisted up the bundle of fur from under her arms. "Yeah. Look how big he is!" she said holding him out in front of her, which Sly liked of course. He actually liked anything and everything, and he was in the habit of eating grass again. Good thing Destiny's grandmom didn't know that though, of she would have been angry at the fact that her plants somehow disappeared..if she even realized they were gone.
She glanced over when Evelyn mentioned Kylie and putting something down, and then this Kylie character was yelling her name..rather loudly. Squeezing the cat in her hands, Destiny blinked a few times, and what do you know? It WAS Kylie! Where had she been for the last months at school? Destiny almost forgot about her Huffie friend, but now she was back! "Kylie! You..look different." Or it could just be from not seeing her for so long, she forgot what the girl looked like.
Forgetting all about the others in the compartment, except for Evelyn and Kylie, she took a seat next to Evelyn and leaned in close, "Who are those two?" she whispered. Then looking at Kylie again, she noticed the kitten on the seat next to her, "Is that a kitty!?"
And can she HOLD IT?
Please?

Kylie instantly felt bad she'd been so cold. She warmed up and gave the girl one of her genuine smiles. Kylie was beyond beautiful, she knew it, but tried to downplay it. But frankly, there was just no doing so. She was wicked smart, wicked gorgeous, and a wicked nice person.
"Hi. I'm so sorry for the odd situation. You're new, right?" She kept a warm look in her green eyes.

Kylie took on a bit of a sarcastic tone. Who'd this chick think she is? When Kylie came in she could do nonverbal spells at the snap of a finger. She played dumb for months before she did any real magic. She was YEARS ahead of her age and she still kept it down. This girl was only a few years ahead and she was acting all that while trying to down play it... but just not...
"Oh, right. Naturally." She said with an incredibly sarcastic tone. Her generally emerald green eyes started to shift towards and icy blue. A bad sign. Her eyes changed colors if her mood turned sour... and if they turned all blue, well, things were just going to get BAD.

Please?
Kylie smiled. It wasn't quite the same reunion Evelyn had given her, but of course, this was Destiny. What could she expect? She smiled again and laughed. "I guess that's what happens when you hide in a box for months."
She looked down at the cat, it was sort of shaking... and it's hair looked funny... and it's once-blue eyes were pure onyx... "Well, it's not my cat... It's Evelyn's... but I feel like that just might be a bad idea..."
Kylie smiled. It wasn't quite the same reunion Evelyn had given her, but of course, this was Destiny. What could she expect? She smiled again and laughed. "I guess that's what happens when you hide in a box for months."

Ellie took a deep, subtle, breath. She was beginning to warm up to the situation and began thinking of ways these people might take to her. After all, she was trying to be friendly with all houses, and students of all ages.
She smiled, "Yeah, first year. What year are you all in?" she asked kindly.

"Thanks. It's nice to meet you." she said cautiously. Hopefully her thoughts didn't show in her face or voice.
Eep! Why was there so much yelling going on in here!? Sure, Evelyn herself yelled, but that was barely anything compared to this! Blinking a few times, as if that would help the ringing in her ears go away, she leaned back against the wall and looked at everyone.
Kylie and Destiny talking, that weird random girl was sitting there, the other girl say thanks like she should, the kittie....which should probably go in her cage...
Wait, rewind! The girl saying thanks. "No problem." Evelyn smiled politely, before glancing over at the other girl. Yes, Evelyn or Destiny needed to teach her some acting lessons. Her fake smiles were horrible. "My name is Evelyn. That is Destiny..." she said, pointing to the one holding the ginormous fluffy blue eyes cat before pointing to Kylie. "And that's Kylie. So, what's your story?"
Another person to investigate!

Her parents had pretty much demanded she be ahead by at least a few years before she attended Hogwarts, and ahead she was.
The basic spells. Well, pfft. If she was reading third year level books, obviously she knew the basic spells. That wasn't what Evelyn wanted to hear. She wanted to hear what the 'other' spells were that she knew.
"And, what are the others that you know?" she asked, sitting forward and looking as if she was actually curious as to what the girl was going to say. Hmm, all those years of pretending were actually paying off.
SPOILER!!: Destiny buddy

It was getting way too crowded in here. And Sly was taking up most of the room! How did he get so big in just a year!? "Has...he been eating grass again?!" That was the only way he could grow that big right? Eating cat food AND eating grass. He was eating too much! And it looked like he wasn't getting enough exercise.
Which also reminded her...Eek! The little hiss from the smaller kitten brought Evelyn's attention to her. Scowling, she picked up the little kitten and placed her in the green and silver kitten carrier that she had bought the other day. She could hide in the for the rest of the train ride...
"Yes, it's a kitty." Evelyn laughed, before shaking her head. "I don't know. It doesn't seem like she likes Sly and...you probably smell like him right now." Haha. Destiny will have to hold her later on. "These two are Ellie and Victoria by the way. First years, obviously. Probably need someone to...hang with."
However, Evelyn changed her gaze back over to Kylie, giving her another LOOK. The Hufflepuff's tone told her everything. She didn't want to have to drag her friend out to give her a talk on manners. Plus, they might actually be getting somewhere with these firsties. Well, at least the one that she knew the most about anyways, Victoria.

Ellie's eyes narrowed.
"My story?" she asked, though she thought she might know the answer.
Victoria refrained from shooting her own sarcastic comment back at Kylie. It wouldn't do well to make her any more angry than she already was. Something told her that this girl had a lot more skill than it seemed. So she simply ignored the Hufflepuff and began rattling off some of the more advanced spells she knew. "Accio, Augamenti, Aparecium, Jelly-Legs Jinx. Those are just a few." She could've continued, but didn't. Instead, she turned to Ellie. "Oh, a first year? I am as well," the dark haired girl said simply before falling silent once more. It seemed to be her turn to get questioned by Evelyn now.

Hiding in a box? Like literally? "Where was this box at, cause if I knew you were in one, I would have visited you." Of course Destiny would have visited her friend! Did those Huffies kick her out of the dorm or something? That would be the only reason she could think of that would make her live in a box.
Eeek! Scary kitty! Yes, it was just the CUTEST thing ever, besides Sly, but it was scary. Destiny swore it had blue eyes when she first walked into the compartment, but now it's eyes were black. Black like..Evelyn's were last term. *shiver* Destiny never did ask her why they were like that, and she had decided she didn't want to know. Scary. "I think so too." she said cradling her own cat closer to herself. "It looks like it wants to eat my Sly."
And well, he probably tasted like grass.

Ooo! A first year. That was EXCELLENT! And of course, Destiny was being rude to the girl, not purposely of course. Or maybe it was.. "I'm a third year!" she answered, not caring if the question was directed to her or not. "I'm Destiny, by the way. And this," she once again held out her cat, "this is Inspector Sly Moustache. You can call him Sly though."
Because his full name was a mouthful.

Crud.
Evelyn was onto Sly and his grass eating habits. Which could totally explain his bigness right now. Didn't her grandmother mention something about putting that growing potion onto ALL her plants? All the plants that Sly had eaten? "No." she simply said in answer to the question. "He doesn't do that anymore." Not when anyone was looking anyway. Shifty Sly.
Destiny relaxed a little when the demon kitty was placed in it's cage. "It's evil!" she said, and then giving a cat-like hiss of her own, she stuck her tongue out at the little white demon kitty. Not liking Sly!? That was preposterous! Everyone liked Sly. "Well, Sly doesn't like her." And that meant he would not be teaching her how to eat grass. "Ellie and Victoria." she nodded in their direction, not knowing who was who. She would learn later on, especially if they were going to be 'hanging' around each other.
"So, ugh..do you know what house you want to be in?" she asked the two first years. Hopefully Slytherin, cause they needed to win the housecup!

Cadence couldn't be happier to be getting on the train. The past few days had been so rough what with having gotten in trouble with Coach and her parents and being pretty much forbidden from seeing Jude until she got on the train. She had barely said goodbye to her parents on the platform because she was so excited to find him. Standing in the hallway of the train, Cadence tugged and tugged and tugged at her heavy trunk trying to get it into a compartment so she could go find her boyfriend. Looking around for a moment, she wondered where he could possibly be... because she could definitely use his help with this trunk. And she wanted to give him a really big, gigantic, HUUUUUGE hug!
