Plenty of room here to organize staging for music, work on decorations for the walls and entryways, decorate the dance floor and get everything ready for a magical night!

Okay so.... Ellie looked around at everybody in her group. She wasn't leader. She wasn't very happy with that. She will fight to lead this group. Or be co-leader. That works too...

Raven walked into the room with a clipboard tucked firmly underneath her left arm, she was excited to be the leader of the group for free standing decorations and hoped that her group members would have some good ideas to make things look great; unfortunately being group leader meant that she had to speak with the other three leaders to get ideas of where they were going with the decorations but that wasn't going to be a major issue.

Sammy walked into the room clutching some of the things the music committee needed where was everyone else? she thought looking around the room

Willow walked into the room after coming from the nursery with a folder, paper, ink and quill ready to start sharing some ideas with her free standing decoration group.

Grayson was in denial if she didn't think that her group was going to be fun. Also, quite possible dangerous, at least for the poor professors who had set up the groups, but still fun for her. Even though she hadn't the slightest idea what sort of free-standing decorations could go with a seasons theme. Maybe I can get some trees involved, she thought, bouncing into the room with Draco in her pocket. He wanted to get out again and she wasn't about to deny her pet. Besides, he could just be the honorary fifth member of the group.

Seeing Raven standing there with a clipboard, she went over to the older girl with a grin. "So what d'you think about the groups?," she asked, sort of rocking back and forth in her sneakers. It was like she didn't want to sit still, but then at least she was fairly certain her thoughts would be heard now. Something told her they hadn't really been when they'd all been in the big group. But she could wait til their entire group was there before officially starting to think of ideas.

Raven smirked slightly when she noticed Grayson enter the room, this was definitely going to be interesting since Professor Kingsley had chosen to put 2 of the most devious people in the school together in a group and he had no clue what trouble he was about to unleash with that serious mistake. "Hmm.. to be honest here; they're rather interesting but not as awesome as our group. Putting me as a leader is a trap waiting to happen.. speaking of which, we have things to discuss to really cause some trouble during the ball which involve the decorations." Cue another devious smirk. She picked up her quill and began drawing a couple small sketches on the parchment and chuckled evilly.

Grayson pretended to have a serious expression on her face as Raven answered her question, as if the honesty deserved it and everything. But the smirk on the older girl's face told the true story, as did the last part of her comment, and a bit of a mischievous grin played on Grayson's face. "I kind of think so as well. That our group is the most awesome. The trap thing hasn't happened yet, but yeah. I think we can plan some really fun things." Of course, they'd have to sneak it all past the other groups, but she had faith they'd manage it. Her and Raven were nothing if not practically professional troublemakers, and they weren't about to be stopped just by a few possible objections. Not to mention they could just plan things so people didn't expect the trouble until it happened. As Raven started sketching things, Grayson tried to peek over in curiosity. Especially at the chuckle. That meant it had to be good, after all.

Ellie decided to speak up, and see where these people were from, and where all the people from her group were.

"Is anyone here for the walls and ceiling group?" she asked.

See, this is why she should have been leader. At least she had punctuality.

Raven noticed Grayson trying to peek at the clipboard and decided that it was best for her partner in crime to know exactly what she was sketching, so she lowered her clipboard to let the Ravenclaw look at the devious sketching. "The only thing with this idea is we need to really discuss it without having the other group leaders knowing what we're up to.. I'll trust you with the plans while I'm off in another meeting later on." She said with a slight smirk then looked around carefully to make sure no one was paying attention to them.

Watching her feet as she walked, Evelyn turned the corner into the Great Hall, before looking up to see who was around.

Not very many people, that was for sure. Taking a deep breathe, the Slytherin heard someone mention the walls and ceiling group. Someone, that she wasn't all that happy about. "Me." she said, walking over setting her notebook and pencil down on the table before looking around once more.

Well, now what? Where was everyone else? "While we wait for everyone else... what are some ideas you have?" she asked, opening her notebook. "Like, how everything should be laid out? Or any new ideas we haven't thought up yet?"

Evelyn? She supposed that was cool. Enough.

She shook her head, "Nothing new, really. Just the snow, leaves.. pedals?.. falling from the ceiling. Yearbook photos in the Entrance Hall... I'll probably have more ideas once more people share theirs.. bounce them off of each other.." Yeah...

As Raven lowered the clipboard so she could see the sketches, Grayson's eyes scanned the drawings and then looked up at the seventh year with a glint in her eye. This was just going to be awesome, but she totally understood Raven's concern. "There's totally no way the other group leaders would let us do any of this if they knew. Or the professors, if you think about it. But that just adds to the awesomeness," she said with a grin. Part of her wondered if the rest of their group even should know, but that wasn't going to stop them. And she looked up at Raven again as the older girl said she would leave her in charge. Even better.

But she followed the Slytherin's gaze as they needed to check to make sure nobody was paying attention. Luckily, it didn't even seem like there were too many people in the room. Either way. And those who were seemed focused on themselves and their groups. Yay for distractions, which made it easier for them to plot.

"What we need to do..." she started to say as she wrote down a few things in her notebook and looking at the walls and ceiling. "Is to talk to Professor Carlton about a few things."

She doubted that anyone in their group knew how to charm the walls or ceiling to flow through the different seasons throughout the night.

Ellie nodded, agreeingly.

She only knew very few simple spells. But not enough, and not powerful enough, to last the whole night and change easily... Or even most seasonal spells. She could make birds and flowers come out of her wand.. But.. what good would that do when she was distracted and stuff during the ball. They definitely needed the Charms professor. Definitely.

"We'd have to know the duration of the ball, too. So we can equally distribute the seasons. Do you have any idea how long it's supposed to be?" she asked Evelyn. Looking fervently around, she wondered where everyone else was.. They couldn't do this with only two people. Well, yeah they could. That would be awesome. And the others would get NO credit! And Professor Carlton. She was a necessity.

So much to do and so little time!

Preston hurried, first to the walls and ceiling committee. "So. Changing seasons, is it? I think the easiest way for us to manage that is for you to select a set of decorations for each season. And we, meaning the professors, will handle charming them so only one set is visible at a time. Perhaps you'll want elements that remain the same, as well."

That sounded good, yes? There wasn't nearly enough time for anything more complex.

"As for the ceiling, just give me a list of how you want it to look and we'll take care of it."

Looking around, trying to spot the others but not seeing them arrive, Evelyn turned back to Ellie when she heard the question. "I don't know. How long do these things usually last?" she asked in return, before thinking it over herself. "Probably 4-5 hours tops maybe?"

Possibly around there.

Jumping slightly when she heard someone behind her, the Slytherin turned around, only to see Professor Kingsley there. "Alright then." she nodded, wondering if this could get any easier. The only hard part for them then was just figuring out how they wanted the place to look. And they couldn't DO that with TWO people about the of...however many were in their group.

Hmph.

"Alright." she repeated before flipping the page of her notebook and turning back to Elllie. "So, you said snow, leaves, pedals...and the pedals would be for spring right?" she asked, making a list for each season. "For summer, I think we should just have it look like the sun is out, but not make it too bright where everyone is blinded, and i think the heat part we could leave out." Don't want everyone sweating in their outfits.

"So, to make it a little more exciting than just really having...trees and such, what do you think of when you think of 'Seasons'?" she asked the Ravenclaw, ready to jot down anything and everything. "I mean for like summer, you would think of the beach right? Or being outside? So perhaps for that, there could be like...a sunny view of the lake or something on the walls..."

Just a suggestion of course.

Ellie nodded. "Right, so they'd change approximately every hour fifteen minutes... hour and a half?" She tried doing the math in her head. She was really terrible at math.

"And, no. We don't want people overheating, or freezing..." No one should faint. That would not be good. "And, yeah. I suppose the beach for summer... Snowmen, igloos, holidays in winter... leaves, Halloween, in the fall.." And school and her birthday, but she won't mention that, "Then, just flowers I guess in the spring.. Easter.." Yeah... holidays.. "I think we could leave holidays out, though.." she said, wrinkling half her face up in a 'pondering' sort of way.

"And we could have those images on the walls..." Yeah.

"An hour...hour and fifteen minutes... It doesn't matter. Just as long as they change. It doesn't have to be so precise." she said with a small chuckle. "I don't think anyone will be timing it." And if they did, then they were especially weird.

"Yea, leaving out the holidays would be good." she nodded in agreement, before writing down what Ellie had said. "In the spring, we need more than just flowers." Unless... "Or, I don't know. Would a field of flowers in a breeze be...too much? Or would it be better to have something that looks more like a woods-y garden, with little critters and birds and stuff.

And in the fall, would there be any raining in the fall? Or just make it look like leaves are falling off the trees and such from the wind..." They had to make it look actually realistic too. "There could be pumpkins too though. Just not, jack-o-lanterns."

Seemed like Winter was the easiest one to do.

"True." she just didn't want to feel bad for the other seasons who didn't get as much time in the spotlight.

"Well, we don't want it to butt heads with the garden too much." Yeah, "But maybe just pictures of little animals running around. Bunnies and deer, and squirrels and such." Cute animals. "I like the idea of a small breeze, if that's at all possible," she looked at Professor Kingsley, "That way our dresses would sway all pretty-like, and it would cool people down who have been dancing for a long time.." Pretty, pretty, pretty. "And yeah, pumpkins are nice." Like pumpkin juice!

Raven grinned deviously when she saw the glint in Grayson's eye, it seemed that her partner in crime was interested in her plans and that made her quite pleased. "The other group leaders can be left in the dark as far as I'm concerned, same with the professors; I don't think we need to get ourselves in trouble to ruin our reputation." That would be a problem, she didn't want something that she had worked for the past 6 terms over get destroyed in less than an hour by a stupid mistake.

Noticing that Professor Kingsley had entered the room, she wrote down something quickly then took the page off the clipboard and folded it; she handed it to Grayson then started a new page which would be strictly ideas for the standing decorations.

"Bunnies and deer..." she repeated, writing them down into her notebook before looking around. What was the other group doing? Tables and stuff right? Wait, what WERE they doing? They looked shifty...

Pffft. Whatever. Looking around, she noticed the few people that were still here, and that the rest of their group was still not here. Hmm. However, glancing up to the ceiling, Evelyn paused for a moment before hurrying and writing down what she forgot.

"Alright then, so this is what we have so far..." she said, placing the notebook on a table nearby so Ellie was able to read it. No touchy though! Yea, she'll be watching the Ravenclaw.

Ellie leaned over the notebook to see. A grin slowly spread across her face as she read on and on.

"This looks great!" Now they just had to make sure the other groups were in sync. This is sooo exciting!

Tori walked into the great hall for set up. What were they supposed to do? Music Committee was harder than it seemed.

Preston looked over the girl's shoulder to read the list.

"Excellent! I do believe almost everything you'd need to pull that sort of decoration together can be found over there."

He pointed to the never ending boxes of supplies. He'd, perhaps gone overboard and purchased enough to cover all the possibilities. He'd return whatever wasn't used.

"You should get to setting up, then." He gave them a quick nod before heading over to the others.

"How's the standing decorations going? Balloon arches? Garden tresses? Statues? What are we doing?"

He smiled, looking at the girls. "We need to hurry. Once we're done decorating, they need to check the hall for student jinxes and the like before the alumni arrive."
