Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

Amy wandered into the hall and sat down at the empty table, she reached out and grabbed some bread and butter and cheese, from which she made a sandwich and spooned some colslaw onto a plate and grabbed a few tomatos which she popped into her mouth. She rootled around into her bag and pulled out the book she had been reading in the common room and started reading from where she had stopped

Willow sat down at the Huffelpuff table for a bite to eat. She hadn't been that hungry earlier in the day. Grabbing a thick slice of bread, she plied it with cheese, ham, tomato, lettuce, cucumber and peppers, before folding it over into a neat, but thick, half of sandwich. Just looking at it made Willow's mouth water.

Looking away from her master creation for a brief second, Willow spied a young girl sitting just down the table from her. She was busy reading a book. Thinking nothing of the interuption and feeling the need to chat, she ispoke, "Hi! My name's Willow. I'm sure I saw you in the Common room lastnight...?" Willow hated to follow through on this thought, but she did none the less, "Ummm... I believe you were upset about something? You kind of ran up the dorm stairs before I had a chance to say hello..."

Willow was a little embarrassed at bringing this subject up, but she was never one to dodge a sticky situation. "I hope you're feeling better today?" Willow looked back down at her sandwich and took a big bite. She wondered if the young girl would answer her or not...

Oh, Hi, yeah I was um... I'm Amy, it's nice to meet you Willow, the whole Hogwarts thing got too much and stuff, I'm a first year see, Amy told Willow as she put her book into her bag, I take it your not a first year, you don't seem terrified like the rest of us

Willow grinned at Amy. "No, I guess you could call me a pro by now. I'm in fifth year." Willow took another bite of her sandwich and poured herself some pumpkin juice. Looking at Amy, Willow held up the pitcher, "Can I offer you some juice? It's nice and cold." Willow continued, "So, what's that you're reading? It looks interesting." Willow loved to read, any and everything possible.

Wow, fifth year, is there any proffessors I should watch out for? Oh no thanks I've got some pumpkin juice, she said gesturing to her mostly full goblet, oh this, it's umm, what is it, oh um, she looked at the cover, it's called hex or not to hex, it's like a FAQ for all things magic, she smiled at Willow, she seemed really nice. Your a book lover too?

Willow gave Amy's question a great deal of thought, not wanting to terrify her in her first few days of school, and replied, "Well, they're all pretty good... mind, you don't want to be late for class, and if you are, just sneak in and pretend nothings wrong." Willow chuckled at this answer, she'd been late a fair few times over the years, "...and only speak when you're spoken to or have been permission to..." Willow nodded at her sage advice and smiled at Amy. "All things considered, they're pretty harmless..."

After a quick gulp of juice, Willow continued on. "I love to read! I swear, my mum used to say I grew-up reading the cereal boxes!" Willow giggled and munched on her sandwich. Sighing as the food finally hit her stomach.

Ahh, well there we will have a problem, I have never been good with time keeping, oops. Amy grimaced at the thought of being late for her first lesson ah same, well not cereal boxes, gotta love books, but music is better, I used to love the muggle story books, they were so random half the time she smiled at Willow, are you a pure blood or half or muggle born?

Willow blushed. She was always embarrassed by this question. "Well, I'm a pure-blood." Willow replied. "But you have to promise not to hold it against me! Alright?" Willow looked at Amy and smiled. "How about you? What's your lineage?"

"Muggle stories?!?!? I love them! They are so crazy and over the top! Like that one about the princess and the seven dwarves? I mean, everyone knows that that many dwarves would ever live in the same house together... and just think of the over-powering smell!" Willow laughed so hard that she had to grab a napkin. Her pumpkin juice was dangerously close to choking her.

Don't worry I won't, I'm the exact opposite, I'm a muggle born, born and bred London kid, Amy laughed, I never thought of it like that she giggled as she picked up her goblet and sloshed a little out the goblet, oops, Amy giggled as she cleaned the spillage with her robe and sat back, we'll pretend that spot of clumsiness never happened, she giggled, blushing. I'm not usually as un-cordiated promise, she said as she grinned at Willow

Willow laughed with the younger student. "I am the last person in the world with the right to complain about clumsiness! I mean, if there was a stick on the path in front of me, and I saw it, I'd still trip over it!" Willow was not the most delicate and flowing witch on the face of the earth.

Continuing on, Willow grabbed her pumpin juice, missed her mouth and proceeded to dribble it down her chin. "See?" Willow laughed, "No awards here for manners!"

"I'm not one to complain about heritage," Willow explained to Amy, with a smile on her face. "I figure there's good and bad in every blood lineage; you just have to keep away from the clunkers!" Willow looked down at here sandwich. It was almost gone, and she didn't remember taking a bite.

Looking up at Amy, she proclaimed, "I do believe the sandwich snipers have stolen my sandwich while I've been busy talking to you!" Willow giggled at the thought.

Amy laughed at Willow, I bet you can't fall up stairs, it's a fine art to master, and one which I am very familiar with, she smiled and picked up another bread roll, buttered it and added some cheese and ham to it, and took a bite out of it. Yeah thats true, but I have to think all the pure bloods in Slytherin, uhuh they are ones to keep away from, ahh well I am so enchanting, you wouldn't notice eating your sandwich whilst talking to me-not that I am vain, she giggled, I laugh an awfull lot, so if it gets annoying, feel free to tell me to shut up or hit me, she said as she grinned, but don't hit me too hard, I bruise easily she said smiling as she took another bite, do you want another one? she asked bringing the bread roll basket over to Willow

Willow laughed as Amy chatted away. This was a girl she could be friends with. Quite out-going and a great sense of humour. Willow tooked at the rolls and then down at her smooth, flat stomach. "Nooo...." Willow said, drawing the word out painfully. "I think I better give it a miss. It's not long until dinner anyway."

Suddenly, Willow burst out laughing, and with a grin on her face, she said to Amy, "You know, you're right! It does take a special person to fall going up the stairs... I guess that makes you and I very special people!" Without thinking, Willow grabbed another roll and bit into it. A wide, happy smile was spread across her face?

Amy grinned widley at Willow, and looked at the time in the corner ohgawd, Sorry I've got to go, I was meant to meet my friends like 20 minutes ago, time sure flies. See you later? She asked as she jumped up from the table

"Sure thing!" Willow replied. "We're sure to meet up again soon, being in the same house and all. See you later." Willow raised her pumkin juice, as Amy rushed to meet her friends.

The second best thing on Teegan's list was food. Though, she didn't mind eating alone, she didn't like the fact that she was going to eat alone because she hardly knew anyone. She gave a sigh as she walked into the Great Hall with her shoulders squared and her hair in a low pony-tail and her bangs lying against her head like normal. She dressed casually that morning in jeans and t-shirt, her wand was still lying in the bottom of her trunk. She gave a nervous smile to a few people as she walked towards the Hufflepuff table. She picked an empty spot of table and took her seat gracefully self-conscious that everyone was looking right at her. She was after all, the new transfer seventh year. Surely people had their questions. She cleared her throat lightly before she poured herself some pumpkin juice into her goblet, deciding that she didn't want anyone to sit by her for the mere fact she was a little irritated with answering the same questions over and over.

Josey walked into the Great Hall the morning after she got sorted into Hufflepuff. She was perfectly happy. Annabelle had gotten the same house as her, which made her smile. The only problem was, she couldn't stop smiling. But that wasn't exactly a problem was it? It never hurt to be happy. A smile was contagious, and it was a good disease.

Her ponytail bounced up and down as she skipped over to the Hufflepuff table. It was tied back, and high on her head, with a purple ribbon. It probably should have been yellow, but Purple was her favorite color. She sat down at the table and took a sip of pumpkin juice. It would have been nice to talk to someone, but two of the girls there were already talking. And the other girl was a lot older than herself, maybe a sixth or seventh year, and she kind of indimidated her.

Allitrya walked into the Great Hall. She was starving and couldn't wait to eat. She walked over to the Hufflepuff table and sat next to a girl who had a ponytail and a purple ribbon. " Hi, I'm Allitrya. What's your name?"

Josey noticed a girl sit down n ext to her. She looked young enough to be a first year, hopefully. "Hi Allitrya," she said with a shy smile. "My name's Josey, I'm a first year?"

" It's very nice to meet you Josey. I'm a first year too." Allityra was excited, she hadn't meet many first years yet. She grabbed some pumpkin juice and a bagel before saying, " This place is very big isn't it? I hope I don't get lost."

Running, Arya made a beeline for the Hufflepuff table. Her stomach had been begging for some food all morning and she didn't have the heart to deny it the simple request. She had been in such a hurry to get to the Great Hall that she just threw on whatever clothes she had lying around, which happened to be a pair of red shorts and yellow tshirt with a matching ball cap. When coming to a skidding halt, she sat down on the bench and swung her legs around eyeing the food infront of her. It was all so enticing, she didn't know where to start. So when in doupt, start with the drinks.

Pouring herself a glass of apple juice, she glanced at the girl beside her. If Arya wasn't misstaken, the girl was new. Taking a sip, she smiled at the girl. "Hey, I'm Arya."

Amy walked into the hall and sat down at the house table, she grabbed some waffles and coffee and began to eat and drink them quickly, she pulled out the same book she had been reading for the past couple of days and carried on with her chapter

The first thing she noticed when she walked into the Great Hall is the amount of kids congregating the area, the blur of colours making heady beelines towards the-

'Uwoh - DO I REALLY SEE CREPES? Omnomnomnom. Nomnom. Nom. Hah. Hungry.'

Alice slid onto the end of the long, long bench. She began braiding her long hair very loosely and eying the enormous spread of platters with bobby pins dangling precariously from her mouth, thinking face on and everything.

This was srs bzness. What would go with crepes ... Choices, choices. She vaguely wished she'd stop using internet slang in RL. Oh god, she did it again! Word-vomiting - um, -ness, so wasn't the best thing to start her Hogwarts school life with.

Josey smiled. "Yes, it is big. I hope I don't het lost either, but I don't hink I will....Dang! Now I probably will!" She smiled agai, though what she said was prbably true. "What classes are you looking forward to?"

Amy walked into the hall and sat at the housetable, she grabbed a plate and loaded up pizza, pasta and chicken onto it and then some greens, poured herself a goblet of orange juice and began to eat greedily, taking a sip of OJ after each swallow to help the food go down
