"So...thats why you like hiding then?" Brody giggled, as she picked up one of her books, and skimming through it. Oh she was glad she wouldn't have to have any of these hehe. She'd probably just got shopping instead, because she loved shopping. heh. That would be awesome.

"Lori doesn't think that." Lori hated her. And it was horrible, because she still wanted to be her best friend. Gold was going to talk to her, but she didnt think it was going to work, because Lori was stubborn. She smiled as he put his arms out, and she hugged him. "I just want her to still love me."

He watched her look through one of his books and smiled at her. He knew that she was probably happy that she wouldn't have to study for her NEWTs like he had to. She would be able to go shopping and looking around New York with him instead. "Er, why not? It's always nice to see you." Because she made everything better.

He hugged her and kissed her forehead. He disliked it when she was sad. It made him sad too, and he didn't like that either. They should all be happy. "I know you do, hun. She will get over it. I promise. She can see us for Christmas with Gold." Because he loved his best friends, and they would have to come over for the holidays or he wouldn't be happy.

"You want something to help cheer you up?" He already knew the answer.

Without really realizing it, Kylie had wrapped herself up into a ball, using Zach's arm for a pillow. She wasn't sleeping yet, or even really close. She just hadn't noticed herself doing it. "We will. Hang out, I mean." Kylie closed her eyes, she was awake, just closing her eyes.

"Tell me about your home. It's okay if it's boring. Really. Just tell me about it. Your neighborhood, all that stuff. Stupid little things that people don't usually know about anybody." She felt warm, after being outside when it was freezing, it felt really, really nice.

Zach's home. Hmm... "Well." He thought for a minute. "It's pretty much just an average house. You know, mailbox, backyard, all that stuff. The only thing different is that we're a little more rural than suburban, but it's not really 'country' per se. I guess we just have less neighbors. There aren't really that many other differences." He used the arm Kylie wasn't using to tap his chin with his finger as he thought. "All our neighbors are magical, too. Every time we do get a Muggle, they move out within a couple of months. They think we're all a bit strange, I think." He grinned. "My mum really tries, though. She always brings the neighbors food of some sort to be hospitable. Unfortunately, it's usually something they're not familiar with and probably contributes to their moving shortly after. Not that anyone would tell her that, of course. She really thinks they like her. And her cooking. She doesn't just make a 'welcome-to-the-neighborhood' meal. She makes, like... A meal a week for them. I think she wants Muggle friends. It's not working, though. Poor Mum," he chuckled. Wait a second... He'd gone from talking about his home to talking about his family. Was that Kylie's plan? Ooooh... Sly one, that girl.

Kylie shifted only slightly while Zach was talking, her head was starting to get that dizzy-light-headed feel that she got when she was tired enough to fall asleep. "Interesting that she'd want Muggle friends. I mean... really they're not different from you and I. Aside from the fact they can't do magic. Maybe she just wants friends in general. I've heard of that happening to mothers." She didn't really want to get on the topic of herself... as in the back of her head she knew she might fall asleep while she was talking, which would be EXTREMELY embarrassing. So, she tried to keep the conversation on Zachy-poo.

"Can your mother cook? I mean, for magical folk..." She trailed off, trying to hide a yawn. She didn't want the conversation... or night... to end.

Simon walked into the common room, he hadn't been able too talk to anyone for ages and so he thought he would see if there was anyone he knew in the common room, he sat on a chair and waited for anyone too talk to him.

Amy jumped through the portrait hole and threw herself into an armchair in front of the fire, urgh! she said, toeing off her sweaty plimsols and curling her legs around her, closing her eyes before opening them open a minute later. She looked around, hey Simon, she said, finally taking him in

Okay, so... Kylie was basically asleep. Zach smiled slightly. He didn't want to let her know that he was onto her. "Yeah. I guess mums want friends, too." He looked at her. She looked like she might fall asleep at any second. "Yeah, she's an okay cook... Are you tired?" He cut off abruptly. He didn't want to bore her to sleep either, especially if she was already about to drop off on her own.

The ever so perfect and gorgeous (even in the worst of circumstances) picked her head up off of Zach's arm when he asked if she was tired. Her body weight still rested on his shoulder, but at the mention of the word "tired", she forced herself to wake up. "Nonono, I'm fine! Perky as a ferret."

Wait... why am I warm...?

Kylie looked down and tried to take in the scene. She'd been intently drowning in their conversation. Listening to everything Zach was saying... she didn't realize she'd been lazing away and resting on Zach. "OHMYGOSH, I'm so superduper sorry for that..." Her words were kind of slurring together. No doubt a result from her fatigue and shock.

Her green eyes sparkled, as they often do, with a new sort of light as she looked at Zach again. She was still totally frantic. But somehow, there was an ere of calm surrounding her too.

"My mom can only cook certain things. Everything else is like... a fish swimming in milk." Kylie wanted to make sure Zach knew she'd been paying attention. Her usually only slightly pink tinted cheeks were red with embarrassment. Her long, medium-length dark brown hair with the subtle curls was a mess.

She was suddenly, randomly, really glad she didn't wear make up. She guessed if she did it would have smudged EVERYWHERE.

"It's fine," Zach said with a laugh. Kylie seemed extremely embarrassed about the fact that she'd almost been asleep. He thought it was kind of funny, the fact that she'd been sort of lying on him and then talked like she'd just woken up. Chuckling again, he asked, "A fish swimming in milk? Wouldn't it die?"

Nymphy walked into the common room and put two vials, one purple and one brightest red, down on the table. He sat and waited for Avery....he needed to explain. He wasn't worried any more, she was staying!!
