Lainey did some very high-kneed marching down to a wide and flat area near the Lake. The sound of her students clanking and chattering along behind her was literally music to her ears. She waved at the Giant Squid (Barty Hen), a dear old friend of hers, then yelled out some Mermish - another shout out to old friends.


Scattered around this area, courtesy of the House Elves (helpful little beasts!), was the PILLOW of each and every student present for class today. Lainey stopped to admire some of the more entertaining ones, and only hoped that the Unicorn ones belonged to girls....


"Everyone find your pillow and take a seat! We need to go over some ground rules before we start battle!"


Lainey's own pillow was perched on top of a rock. She sat, pulled her knees up to sit in the meditating position, and waited for all her lovely students to find their own pillow and sit in their armor. Weapons, rules, battles, then maybe the point of class? Ah, what an excellent day so far!

Their pillows were out there? Hopefully that meant the elves were planning on washing them before they went to bed. Carter didn't want to sleep on a grassy pillow. Spotting one that was covered in football balls he headed over. He then sat atop his pillow. It felt a little awkward because he was wearing his 'armor'. But they'd be fighting soon enough.

Following the Professor outside, Lysandra had some trouble moving due to all the cookware she had on, but followed none the less. When she got outside, she saw a ton of pillows on the ground. She then heard Professor Lainey tell them to grab a pillow and take a seat. She grabbed a pillow and plopped onto it with much trouble not trying to fall backwards.

Ahaaaaaa so that was why Lainey had suggested Fletcher bring his pillow to class! They were going to battle (and he was well suited up with a pot on his head and a baking-pan chest plate and all) but first they were going to... meditate on their pillows?

Ah anyway. He staked out his fluffy cream-colored and blue-striped pillow and took an awkward seat.

Alex sighed searching for her pillow feeling foolish, finally there it was! She stood by it waiting for everyone else to find theirs.

Ellie saw.. pillows! And Amys! Okay, one Amy.

"Hi Amy!" she said, sitting on a pillow beside her dear old long lost friend. Where had she been?

Nancy had sticked both of the smaller frying pans back over her ears and had shifted her blue pot slightly backwards, so she was actually able to see something. Something like where they were heading to. Which turned out to be the Hogwarts Grounds. Even though Lainey was utterly crazy, this somehow turned out to be quite fun. Hehe.

...and it had just got better. Her pillow was there! Trying to plop down on it proved to be a little difficult though. Especially the train-shaped cake pan on her right knee was a little bit of a problem. But with a lot of strange waggling movements Nancy finally managed to sit down, placing her eggbeater on the ground next to her.

Miranda walked out to the grounds, following the Professor as if she was the platoon leader, ready to take orders- Eh, calm down a leetle, yeah?

Uhr, yes.
Anyways, there she was, her amour making her itch, her warpaint making her itch, and just feeling like she wanted to FIDGET. Ack akck akckckck! She scrunched up her face, making her look even more like a rodent, and started to wiggle her nose. It was ITCHYYYY!

Well, the good part was, that everyone looked equally as weird (some even more, hehe) and there were pillows. Nice.

Walking over to one...that apparently had the face of Gilderoy Lockhart on it - full with his smirk and wink (o____O) , she turned it over before sitting on it. Weird. And then she waited for Sarah and Oliver to do the same.

Simon walked upto the Professor, whistling the tune to Dad's Army, he had got it stuck in his head and he hoped the Professor didn't mind him whistling it, he stopped as he sat down on his pillow and then waited to see what the Professor had to say next.

Madddie sat down on her pillow, and waved to Simon. She couldn't wait for the next part of this lesson.

Unicorns? Bahahaha!

Snickering at some of the more funnier pillows, and carrying the colander in her hand since she opted to not wear it the entire time on her head, Evelyn sat down on the pillow she recognized as her own, and just tried not to look around. They seriously were going to battle each other? Or something? Perhaps they were supposed to reenact something...

She missed Truebridge now. Pssh.

Amy turned at the voice and grinned, Ellie! she said, happily, how are you? she asked as she figited on her pillow

"I'm good thanks. And you?" she also began fidgiting on her pillow. It was odd to sit with kitchenware plastered all over your body.

Amy smiled at her, yeah same, she said happily, now more impotant, where have you been, I havn't seen you in ages, she asked her mock annoyed voice, the sort your mum speaks to you in

Ellie looked at Amy, feigning being shocked.

"You should talk!" she shot back, in that same fake annoyance tone.

Pillows? Sabel peered around at all the different types and couldn't help but smile. Some of them were quite entertaining. He half wished he had brought his Darth Vader pillow cover from home just for this; it would have worked wonders to educate the masses of Hogwarts on some traditional and epic muggle movies. As it was however, he took a seat on his rather plain pillow, smiling to himself at how his mother would put her hands on her hips and scold him that he wasn't five anymore. Still, Professor's orders. Grin.

Rearranging the cookiesheets and strainer on his head, he cast his eyes about. Surely, they weren't just having a pillow fight. All this armour for a couple of down feathers? Unless of course, some students had those extra firm ones; those could hurt in a pillow fight.

Hmph, Amy shoved her nose into the air and then grinned at Ellie, not much really, I've been around, you know lessons and I've been helping my head of house around the grounds but thats it really, she told her nochalantley, what about you? she asked as she lifted up her pan to scratch her head

Pillows? This teacher was an odd one for sure, but she also definitely liked her. After all, odd teacher meant odd lessons, and odd lessons meant entertainment. She slipped down on a pillow, and looked at the teacher expectantly as the other student began to sit down.

Ellie rolled her eyes and laughed.

"I've been... everywhere? Lessons, common room, tryouts.. around the grounds.." They need to cross paths more often. How can you have a friend if you never get to talk to them? Maybe they could send each other owls? Haha. She just pictured her owl flying a table over to the Hufflepuff at breakfast.

Jacob Clanked all the way owards the grounds. the metal funnels for his shoulders and knees were probably a bit much. And the alumminum foil pretty much covering his harms and legs were totally un necessary, but he looked more like a warrior that way

Jacob made his way towards his plain pillow, and sat down. Ground rules? Battles Dont have ground rules!

Oh yeah I forgot about them, how'd it go? Amy asked avidly yawning in the sunlight as she listened

It was hard to walk in battle gear.

If it wasn't for being attached to Marie, Destiny would have fell right down those steps. Even if she was protected, she was sure it would still hurt. Those steps are dangerous!

She slowly made her way to the grounds and spotting all the UNICORN pillows, she frowned. She didn't want a unicorn pillow! Sitting on one of them does not put you in battle mode. Looking around, she noticed the boys using different pillows, a pillow she wanted! Snatching a pillow from the clutches of some boy, she quickly placed it under herself and sat.

William "Spock" Cullack marched down the grounds behind his professor, phaser set on stun (heheh) as he looked around, gaping at the pillows on the ground. Well it was easy to spot his, it was the only one with the UFP logo on it, a laurel wrapped around a planet with the letters 'UFP' on it. The backdrop was black - obviously - and there was a Klingon sign for peace on the back. Perching on it he crossed his legs and closed his eyes, his face composed. Every Vulcan needed to meditate before battle he knew. His face paint was dry and itchy now but he didn't move. He needed total silence thank you very much.

Ellie sighed.

"Well, I think I did good as beater..." she bit her lip. Poor JD... "But not so much as chaser... I just wish they'd hurry and post the roster. Anticipation sucks!" Gaahhhh! She was so nervous....
